Sisceal nearly jumped out of his skin. He never expected to be caught this soon or to be holding a pair of black, lacy underwear. Face turning red he struggled to get a clear answer out. "I! I! Uh...wasn't here to steal anything! I was looking for a....a..." He could feel his face burning. He had to have been as red as a lobster right now and muttering like an idiot. No excuse for what he was doing in there and no explanation for why he was digging through Nora's underwear.

Lucas watched Fiona's act intently, intrigued by the act. It took a while for him to come back to the present and to answer Paul.


"Hmmm? Oh yes, I should go next. Her Majesty Nora seems to making lots of new 'friends' today, it would be a shame for that to end." Lucas grinned a little mischeviously at this last part.


Lucas casually strolled out of the backstage area into the main tent. A lone spotlight shown on him the entire way. He slowly unsheathed one of his show swords, the golden metallic paint glittering in the intense light. He started off slow, twirling the sword casually on his finger as he waited for Edith to come on stage.





Edith came from behind the stage wearing a simple robe and mask. The audience was unable to distinguish if Edith was a man or woman. She wielded a simple steel blade, nothing like Lucas' ornate ones. She quietly raised it in a defensive position. She nodded toward Lucas.





Lucas nodded back toward her. Lucas then began trying to hack Edith into itty bitty little bite size pieces. Lucas' attacks were tremendously flashy and over the top, making anyone watching with even superficial knowledge about swordplay shake their head in disbelief.


More so that every "wound" that Lucas recieved only served to reveal more of his toned and rock hard body. Edith sliced away at pieces of his costume. Soon he was naked from the waist up.





Although Lucas would never admit it, Edith was by far the more capable swordswoman. She was able to cut away skintight cloth from Lucas' skin without more than a scratch. She could have easily won the fight. Instead, for the sake of the show, Edith let Lucas dismember her arm. Her left arm fell to the stage with a dull thud.


A collective gasp rose from the audience as they thought they were witnessing an accident and expected Edith to scream out in agony. Instead Edith calmly pried the sword off of her dismembered arm to continue the swordfighting.


This continued for a while until Edith had lost all of her limbs and Lucas almost all of his clothing. By the end the audience didn't know what to think.





Lucas breathed hard and long. He was visibly tired and weary while Edith appeared to not have even broken a sweat. Yet he managed to muster up a winning smile that clashed violently with his distinct lack of clothes. He spoke to the audience.


"I guess I just have that effect on people. When my clothes come off, everyone just goes to pieces."


(An entire act just for one bad joke )

He wished he could see the look on Paul's face, it had to be rather amusing. Smiling Marius tilted his head up towards her. "Come on Paul, you know this is only preshow warmups. Don't want to go out there and cramp up in the middle of an act right?" He chuckled. "As for our newest member...I sure hope so. It is pretty intimidating for a while."

[Athens]

Isabelline watched Lucas' performance with raised eyebrow and a shocked face. "That was something." Mika smirked bumping her with his shoulder "You liked it." Isabelline shook her head glancing at the other swordsman with Lucas. "It was strange... And all of that was for a joke?" Mika shrugged. "The guy's got style, and it was pretty nicely executed." Isabelline grinned looking at Paul curiously to see how he was reacting to this. "Oh you are hilarious Mika. Please do note the sarcasm."





Jules was sitting out in the audience watching the circus perform with a scowl on her face. Any other day she'd be thrilled to be watching the circus but she was here on business. Not to mention this guy's joke made her want to cringe. The other acts had been pretty good, but she still didn't trust the cirque and was only here to see if there's was anything abnormal she could spot in the circus' performers or their acts. Sure, he had a great physique and was really fit, but did he really have to go flaunting himself like this?

The twins thanked Paul and went to sit with Aria as she stretched. She looked at them."very nice job." She said to them. She looked over at Paul. He looked super pissed off. She sighed and looked at the twins. "I will be right back." She said. Aria got up and walked over to Paul. She gave him a small smile.


"I will go after Nora and Lucas." She said softly. She knew he was upset.


"You want to talk about it?" She asked him, she had been close to the other ring master and he had treated her like a pet. Aria bit her lower lip, she always thought Paul attractive but he was with Nora in her mind. She had no business in that or she felt like it,she how ever felt like today he could use something to release his stress. She may be a shape shifter into a dragon, but she still been around The cirque a while.


The twins watched Aria trying to talk to Paul. They looked at each other and smirked."Aria the fire on." Zane started."and off the stage." Niki said. Niki leaned on her brother "ready to go watch the grounds?" She asked he nods and they make there way out of the tent. They split up to check the grounds for anything off. They were a little hungry being around demons were not easy on them. Niki skipped along basically floating instead of walking.

Sayuri & Kaname

Sayuri checked around them to make sure nobody would see her, just before dropping down behind Nora and doing the all-so-common way of hers to turn human. Floating upside down and into a half backflip, Sayuri landed on her feet and hugged Nora from behind. "That doll... Just turned human...?" Kaname asked shyly, having been able to sense the movement of Sayuri. Kaname was clearly blind from earlier events, and so normally, one would assume she didn't even know Sayuri was there, given Sayuri made absolutely no noise at all.


Sayuri looked at Kaname, taking notice of the blindfold and easily piecing things together. A blindfold, standing next to Marius and holding the blind guy's hand... Clearly she was blind and putting her trust in somebody else who was blind, since it was fairly easy for people with the same problems to get along well. Not to mention that Marius had quite good knowledge of the circus, making him the best tour guide for another blind girl like Kaname. Sayuri just kept mostly hidden behind Nora, observing Kaname and taking mental note of everything, basically assessing whether or not she can trust Kaname.

"Oh, Lucas. Showing off your abs again, hmm?"


Cenzio snickered and nudged the porcelain doll next to him. She was blushing badly. Her eyes trailed across Lucas' toned body before glancing to the ground below. She was fiddling with her fingers nervously and managed to say:


"I-It was just part of his p-performance." Cenzio let out a shriek of laughter while placing a hand on his stomach and pretending to wipe a tear away.


"My dear Emmaline. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe he likes to show off?"


"Don't be so rash. You're as much of a showoff as him." Palomar found himself saying with a grin. Cenzio snapped his gaze towards Palomar's and glared at his skeleton friend. Not being able to hold the staring contest, the two began chuckling quietly. Palomar glanced over at the doll, who had remained silent and seemed to still be embarrassed. Emmaline felt Palomar place his bony hand on her head. She flicked her big blue eyes up to the holes where his eyes would have been. Palomar flashed the doll a reassuring smirk. It seemed Aria was going up next.


Cenzio let out a sigh and wrapped a bony arm around Emmaline's shoulders. He pulled her close until the doll's head was leaning up against his ribcage.


"Remember, we don't know if that man is still here. Keep an eye out after the show." He whispered to her. Palomar tried to contain himself as Lucas told a... very bad joke to the audience.


"Oh, please. Be a little mature." Cenzio would have rolled his eyes, if he still had some.

Paul looked at Aria, who was offering to after Nora and Lucas.


"She is just a horny demon and he likes to show off. There is not anything you can do."


He gave her an annoyed look at the woman when she asked if he wanted to talk about it.


"You know the answer to that question and it is no."


He didn't talk about things with people other then Nora. He was damned sure somewhere under that Demon exterior was someone that loved him in a romantic way. Tired of watching her rub all over another man he yelled at her.


"Nora!! You perform now."


He ignored her rants at him and entered the main tent to introduce her. He watched from the sidelines as she danced. He applauded after she was done. He glared at her when she asked if he was happy. He looked at Emmaline.


"Your up."


He walked back into the main tent and introduced her, then walking back out to see Nora back to her old ways.

Nora laughed at what Marius said to Paul. She was glad to hear he was showing Kaname around.


"I am glad you are helping her. Only you have that special way of showing fellow blind people around."


She looked at Kaname when she asked about Sayuri. She raised a skeptical brow, she thought the girl was blind.


"She does that, so make sure you are careful about what you say. You never know who is watching."


She continued rubbing Marius's chest, and was ever so slowly moving south, when Paul yelled at her.


"Come on Paul! Emmaline wants to go and.."


She frowned as her rants were ignored.


"Fine..."


She looked at Sayuri.


"I have to perform now okay?"


She took of her crown and let her long hair be free. She set the crown down by Marius as she walked over to a squirming bag. She picked it up, it contained a very mad Anubis.


"Aw calm down Anubis."


She walked into the main tent after Paul introduced her, just the mere mention of her name made some guys whistle and call for the 'sexy snake lady' as she stepped into the ring it was met with much applause. She opened the bag and let Anubis out. A lot of people gasped at the sight of the Cobra who was down right pissed.

as she danced Anubis stared at her, following the beat of the music. Halfway through she picked up Anubis and let him slither around her as she danced. Once the dance was over she bowed and walked out of the tent. She looked at Paul.


"Happy?"


She teased him as she walked off Anubis just chilling on her. She walked back over to Sayuri and Marius.


"We got quite the crowd tonight."


She place her hands on Marius again whispering in his ear.


"You still up for the bar tonight?"

Lucas was exhausted by the time he got off of the stage. Even at the hands of a capable swordsman like Edith avoiding hurting him, he was still covered in nicks and cuts. However he managed to muster up a weak smile backstage.


"Well this is Cirque de Monstres my dear Cenzio. They certainly didn't come to see fool clowns on unicycles. I promise you that more than one man in that audience has reconsidered his sexual orientation this night."


Lucas heard Emmaline's name be called by Paul to be next to perform. Lucas raised his eyebrows.


"Well this is a pleasant surprise Emmaline my dear. It will be quite the change to see a more...dramatic act. I would curtsy but I am afraid my knees would give out."


He gestured vaguely to the various nicks and bruises on his leg. "Nonetheless I bid you and your companions a satisfying dinner tonight ..."

He smirked and relaxed back closer to Nora as Paul shouted at her when she began to move lower with her...'massage'. It was always amusing to him when Paul got riled up like that. He could just feel the emotion coming off of him and it wasn't always anger either.


When she left to go perform he sighed and stayed leaning back in his chair. It was going to be his turn to perform soon, too bad his new friend would not be able to see it. Hopefully she'd be able to hear the audience's reaction though, that was always the best. This proven so right now by the reactions to Nora's performance. Oh how he wished he could really see it, but unfortunately that was impossible....all he ever got was a faint outline and it was blurred even more by the energy of the audience. His mind drifted off to those thoughts until he heard Nora whisper in his ear and felt her hands on him again.


"Of course." He whispered back. "We can even go as soon as I'm finished with my act."

Mika watched Nora perform with a small frown and turned to Isabelline with pleading eyes. "No- "Please Izz. We can do one of our Teeterboard acts! I'm not that sick Isabelline, pleeaase..." Isabelline sighed looking out at the inside of the tent, and Mika could tell she wanted to perform just as much as he wanted to. "You worry too much about me Belle, I can take care of myself. I have seven tails now!" "I know, I know. It's just- You're the only family I've ever had Micky. You're the only family I will ever have." She replied rubbing the Kitsune tattoo on the back of her neck uncomfortably. Talking about how her feelings was always awkward and uncomfortable. "I'm not leaving Belle, now let's go tell Paul that we're performing." The two walked over to where Paul stood with smiles on their faces. "Hello Paul, apparently Mika is feeling a little better so we will be performing tonight."

Sayuri & Kaname

Sayuri jumped up on Nora's back and hugged her as tightly as her child-sized body could. She absolutely loved Nora's performance. She wanted to do just as good as Nora, but for Sayuri, doing even half as good as Nora was enough to be proud of herself for. "That was... I can't even describe how good of a dance that was..." Kaname thought out loud, starting to lose focus on her sensory abilities because of how amazed she was by Nora. Maybe one day she could go out there on the stage and do something that amazing, but for now she would just do her part helping set up and clean up the circus. Kaname completely lost focus on her sensing of things around her, thoughts about the circus taking precedence in her mind.


"You're so amazing!" Sayuri said excitedly, swinging back and forth behind Nora, hanging from Nora's shoulders and neck. While Kaname was just completely lost in thought and amazement, Sayuri was just suddenly back to eating cheese, hanging upside-down from Nora's shoulders. She was hanging behind Nora, but could quite obviously be told as there from in front. Sayuri's long hair, which barely kept off the ground as it was, now piled lightly on the ground from her being upside-down, which put her head lower than usual. Her hair was quite long, but since her head was at least somewhat off the ground, it didn't all touch the floor. About half of her hair did touch the ground though.

"Oh really now, so that's you call taking a women's garments without permission now hmm?" Daphne crossed her arms underneath her long dragon embroidered sleeves. Daphne was getting extremely pissed off with the gentlemen in front of her. Daphne knew that Nora's was one to have fans who tried to see her after shows a lot more, but Daphne knew that sneaking into trailers was going way to far. Daphne was even more pissed off that the man hadn't let go of the undergarments and instead was just standing still with a bright red face. Daphne held out her hand and said a few 'words' in her native tongue before before she began saying actual words again. "Well come on now, hand it over. I don't want my family member's...things... soiled." Daphne snatched the underwear from the man's hands and put them back into Nora's underwear drawer. Then Daphne placed her hands onto her hips and looked back at the man. "So care to actually explain what you are doing here or do I need to kindly escort you out of here?"

Sisceal was frozen in place and quite terrified of this woman. Being caught had thrown him off as well. "I swear I was...uh....looking for something....f-for Lady Nora?" His cracked and went up several octaves. It was when he had been caught by the Bishop all over again. He just had absolutely no explanation for himself or what he was doing.

Delano walked towards the circus, one hand shuffling, turning and playing with a deck of cards and the other holding a small suit case that rolled along behind him. He walked around the circus area until he came to the big top. He hit his hand on the side of the entrance hoping to grab the staffs attention.

Nora smiled at Marius.


"good."


She felt Sayuri jump on her.


"Sayuri be careful, Anubis doesn't like other people."


the snake was still swaying side to side, since he was in a deep trance. She looked at Kaname.


"You will do fine, I just happen to have an aura about me that makes men and some women just, ohhh...makes them want to be with me in a under the sheets kind of a way."


She smiled as she continued rubbing Marius's chest.


"Now my dear, I have to go put Anubis back before he comes to a bites someone."


She couldn't see Sayuri but, she knew the girl was on her.


"Sayuri stay here with Marius, I need to put Anubis back."


She walked back to the trailer area and saw her trailer door was wide open she walked in and saw Daphine putting a pair of her underwear in a drawer and a red in the Face Sisceal. She set Anubis in his tank then walked up to Sisceal.


"Do you want me to model them?"


She knew had most likely grabbed one of her various undergarments that littered the floor.

"We wouldn't want that to happen again now would we?" He chuckled happily. "You can play with me until I have to perform Sayuri. We could play a round of mess with the ringleader." He joked, for the most part at least. He had nothing against Paul, he just loved to irritate him.

As if it weren't difficult enough explaining himself to one circus member after getting caught, now another had shown up! Worst of all it was Nora too...why did it have to be her? "No no. I...I want to get into your..I mean!!! I want to see you...gaaah." He made a strange little sound as his brain tried to recover from that slip of the tongue. Looking back and forth from the other woman to Nora he wasn't sure how to respond at all right now other than a nod.

"Sadly, no souls for us tonight."


"You can blame the investigators for that." Palomar growled in an irritated voice. Cenzio nodded in agreement and began leading Emmaline away by the shoulders. She gave a little nervous wave to Lucas before disappearing inside the big tent. Palomar tipped his hat to Lucas and followed after the two.


The lights on the stage immediately were killed with nothing but darkness invading the big tent. Sneaking on stage unseen, Palomar walked over to the piano in the far corner. He sat down, and grinned slightly as the beaming spotlight shown down on him. Emmaline had positioned herself in the middle of the stage, standing on the tip of her toe with her back arched.

Eventually a separate spotlight flicked on to reveal her to the crowd. The audience fell silent as Palomar's white bony fingers began pressing down on the keys in elegant, rapid motions. The beautiful sounds rang out throughout the tent. Emmaline did a single twirl, looking up with a soft smile as Palomar appeared inside the spotlight with her and bowed. He smirked and outstretched a hand to her. Emmaline took it and immediately the two began dancing together. The audience gradually began to fall into a trance. Not a single cough or whisper was heard. The two separated and did a quick twirl in sync with each other.

In quick foot movements, Cenzio slid over to Emmaline and grabbed her delicate glass hand. He sent her into a spin and then dipped her downwards, causing the doll to do the splits against the floor.

The crowd, particularly the little girls, began to grow restless with excitement as their dance became more passionate. Eventually, Cenzio and Emmaline were dancing professionally all across the floor. There was even a point where Emmaline had twirled into a man's lap. She kissed him delicately on the cheek, causing his family and the crowd to burst into a fit of amused laughter. Cenzio grabbed her waist and pulled the doll back onto stage. Nearing the end of the dance, Cenzio sent her into a whirlwind of spinning while letting go of her hand, and vanishing back into the darkness. Palomar vanished too, and soon, it was only Emmaline on stage.


She continued to spin on the tip of her toe, amazing the crowd with how well she could keep her balance. The porcelain doll ended the twirl and placed both of her feet onto the floor.

In a single flick of the light switch, the stage was completely illuminated. Palomar and Cenzio stood behind her, smiling to the audience. They all bowed at once, causing the crowd to begin applauding loudly. As the three began to leave, the cheering grew louder and louder. Cenzio flashed the performers a smirk as they arrived back into the preshow room.


"Such a nice crowd we have tonight. So many souls wasted." Cenzio said dramatically to his skeleton friend, who had removed his hat. Palomar nodded in agreement and followed after the doll in front of them. The three smiled at Lucas as they came into his view.


"We saw him. Out in the crowd." Palomar suddenly said, causing the smile to drop off of Emmaline's face. Cenzio sighed and examined his fingers in a bored way.


"Yes, yes. The man with the red shirt and torn jeans. He left the tent after our performance. A bit suspicious, don't you think Palomar?" Cenzio looked over to the skeleton, who grinned and nodded. Emmaline stared at the ground, a frown on her glass face. With wicked smiles, the two skeletons pushed Emmaline into Lucas. Her head nudged up against his chest, with her hands touching his sides slightly. Her face immediately became a bright red.


"Keep her close. We're depending on you." Cenzio and Palomar said at once. They disappeared out of the preshow tent without another word. Emmaline's big blue eyes watched them leave, while also stepping back from Lucas.


"Do you... really think he's just a carpenter?" The doll turned her gaze to his in question.

Lucas gave off a small, proud smile and slowly clapped at the end of Emmaline's performance. He tilted his head slightly off to the side.


"Well done. The humans are not unfounded in their admiration for you. A beautiful show by any standard, even by mine."


Lucas' eyebrows raised slightly and amusingly when Emmaline was nudged into him.


"Come now miss Emmaline, you should at least take me out for dinner before making such advances. Its simply not very courteous." His tone was lighthearted and playful.


However Lucas frowned in confusion when Cenzio and Palomar disappeared from the tent without another word.


"Depending on me? That will not do, not at all. Unless you need someone threatened or seduced I regretfully cannot be of great assistance."

The porcelain doll frowned and looked down towards her feet in deep thought. She was silent for a moment or two. Not saying a word. Until she finally looked over to the exit way where the two skeletons had left from. Emmaline let out a soft sigh and shook her head.


"I'm not sure what's gotten into them. Let's ignore it for now..." She murmured in a quiet voice. Slowly, Emmaline turned her gaze back to his. She forced a small smile across her red lips. The thought of a mysterious man wandering around with a hammer bothered her to no end. She couldn't decide if she should be afraid, or cautious.


"Would you like to go somewhere more quiet? Or are you still watching the performances?" Emmaline asked softly while glancing behind her at the other performers. Her blue eyes flicked back to his.

Lucas' gaze met Emmaline's, her blue against his red. He frowned a little bit as something didn't seem quite right with Emmaline. Her eyes had taken on the subtle restlessness of the hunted, flitting around and never resting, always searching.


"Somewhere more quiet would be nice. It would give me a chance to stop the bleeding." Lucas gestured to the various nicks and cuts over his body. He then lowered his voice considerably.


"By the way, are you doing all right? I don't mean to sound insensitive but you seem a little...on edge. Almost as paranoid as Paul, and that is NOT a good thing."

Emmaline looked up in surprise at his observation of her. He had noticed that easily? The doll waved her hands in front of her to dismiss his words.


"N-No, no! I'm okay! Don't worry about me." She exclaimed a little too nervously. Emmaline lowered her hands and let out a sigh of defeat. Her cover up obviously hadn't seemed to work.


"I'm just... worried." She whispered, staring off to the side now. Emmaline looked back to him and gently took his wrist in her delicate hand.


"Come. I'll help clean those cuts you have." Emmaline flashed him a smile as she led him out of the preshow tent. Although her hollow mind was still troubled, Emmaline managed to push the thoughts into the back of her head. For now.

Nora looked at Sisceal who seemed very flustered by her question. She placed a single finger on his lips.


"Shhhhhhh."


She liked teasing him, she found it amusing, especially since he didn't seem to know how to act around women. She winked at him as she walked over to her underwear drawer and grabbed out the panties in question. She moved behind him dangling them in front of his face. Her body pressed against his back. Rubbing her free hand on his chest. She was so close to the side of his head, she could have bit his ear.


"I bet you would pretty boy, they don't cover much. I bet that just makes you all bothered doesn't it?"


She lowered her hand that held the panties until she found his pocket. She slowly put the panties in said pocket.


"Unfortunately I am busy right now, come back later."


Like an extreme change in attitude, she shoved him out of her trailer slamming the door shut.


"That was fun."


Nora knew Daphine would not entirely approve of what she just did. But, Nora did not care, she loved teasing people way too much to care.

Daphne shielded her eyes behind her sleeve and rolled her eyes at the same time. Daphne knew that it was just in Nora's nature to do such things, as it should be in her own. Yet Daphne was still perturbed by actions like this. When she heard the door slam shut, daphne lowered her sleeve. Forgetting about the little 'show' and focusing on more important matters. "Honestly Nora you need to remember to lock your trailer. As my blood family I care about you and that your possessions do not get stolen. Also did you have to throw him out so forcefully?" Daphne hoped that the man hadn't tripped and fallen on the way out before she focused on Nora again. "Anyways Nora just be more careful. You never know who might come and try to get into the trailers."

"Ghhh-uuuuh?" At this point Sisceal couldn't even form a single coherent word. Only stupefied mumblings as she teased him so. He went stiff as a board and burning hot as he tried and failed to resist her charms. Her breath on his face and being so close to him and touching him made his knees wobbly. He knew the risks and that he was one of the most venerable ones in the little group of investigators yet had gone charging head first into this little stealth mission of his like a rookie.


Next thing he knew was that he was shoved out of her trailer and nearly falling on his face as he stumbled down the steps. Red faced as ever and still mumbling like a buffoon his next brilliant idea was to find Sammy and tell her exactly what he had found.
