Information: This plot will revolve around a group of demigods in Ancient Greece, generally around the time of the Athenian and Spartan War. Our characters as self recognized deities reside on an island below Olympus where we train and protect all of mankind and its mythological creatures. Now wouldn’t that be the job of the gods? Wrong not anymore long ago after Poseidon, Hades, and Zeus split up the dominion of the skies, oceans, and underworld the three sons of Kronos decreed that there shall be no interfering with mankind’s fate by any god. It didn’t last long until the gods found a loophole in that pact and began to produce offspring with the mortals creating demigods, Mortals who shared a portion of the gods power and beliefs birthing Divine Heroes.
Not all demigods are heroes some don’t know that they are even demigods but by the help of the Wisest creature around Chiron The Centaur who’s said to be the son of Cronus The Titan God we all find our way to the Island of Thessaly where the gods are as close to us as possible. Those of us who have been in Thessaly have likely gained a reputation with the gods (more so our parents) that has gotten them to enlighten us with Divine weapons/gifts said to have fallen from Olympus only to be wielded by those it was created for.
Only the foundlings of the children of Olympus will start out with Divine gifts (outside of m/c there’s still four other spots for founding members ) others will earn Divine gifts as the rp goes on. Once your character learns of their godly parent they are presented with the opportunity to return to Thessaly and join us, but if they refuse they’ll be taken by force either to be locked away or face judgement by their Olympian guardian; unfortunately they aren’t as forgiving as mortals. Not everyone on the team will like each other, or even the fact that they’re on the team. Some members will work together like a well oiled machine, maybe even find something more than just a teammate but a partner.
Plot: Well the title says Children of Olympus and there’s one God who’s not living on the floating Mountain and it’s the King of the Underworld Hades himself, since the pact of non interference he’s felt a little spiteful since the olympians has littered the world with their children and caused a bit of a slowing of his undead souls. Following suit he reared a demigod of his own to do his bidding on Earth, corrupting many of the mythical creatures to revolt against mankind to kickstart the flow of souls at an alarming rate. Why does Hades want the flow of souls to rise substantially you ask, well that’s where his power comes from Hades’s strength derives from the soul population in the underworld. Puppeteering his Demigod child Hades has been able to put his many devious plans in motion most leading up to one final plan the destruction of humanity leaving only the creatures of the night, which will strengthening hades to a point of being able to revive the 6 giants from the gigantomachy (war of gods vs giants). This being the topper of his Olympus crushing army considering that gods can’t intervene with actions on earth without having to face judgement. Once the giants are revived, Hades will have enough manpower to rule Olympus and the Underworld.
Our characters are the only hope of stopping hades, which we must do so by following the breadcrumb trail left by his Demigod child, putting an end to his plans, and deal with whatever mythical creatures of the night that’s on his side aswell. Our characters will become an organized band of Heroes representing our parents and image of hope for mankind in troubling times like these. This wouldn’t be the first time Demigods of Olympus have tried to foil the plans of Hades and his child but it has all resulted in the same, him killing them all one by one. A god can only have a single mortal child that knows they’re a demigod at a time that being said he’s got a bit of an age/experience edge over us but he’s not immortal which means he can die just like us.
Considering that gods can only have one living demigod child at a time the only demi siblings you have will either be dead or unknown to the gods and demigods. Luckily for us Chiron will be guiding us unlike the last batch of Olympian demigods who believed they could battle the puppet of a god without the help of the gods. Everything will begin In Thessaly where we will be orchestrated by Chiron to where and when creatures of the night will be causing problems but first we will have to set up our team and the order of the foundling will be the base of the demigod group already having a bit of a heroic reputation in some lands.
Children of Olympus/ Roles:
Foundlings
Child of Zeus(Leader): Reserved for my character
Child of Poseidon(Second in command): Taken by Evadne MarieK
Child of Artemis( Hunter/ Tracker andGuide): Taken by Amaltheia Talathel
Child of Hermes( Scout and messenger): Taken by Xenophanes Worthlessplebian
Child of Apollo ( Archer and medic): Taken by Clover KrisKun
Child of Athena(Brains): Taken by Alistina Light
Child of Ares (Wildcard/ muscle): Taken by Ambrose The Prophet
Child of Hephaestus( Blacksmith/ Craftsman):Taken by Aristide Skaggon
Any demigods outside of the foundlings will be new to Thessaly but doesn’t mean they won’t be apart of the Team, just the children of the gods above more responsibility of what goes on in the group, Not to say they are any more important their parents are some of the more powerful gods therefore the must assume their role and do their part.
Roles Explained:
Child of Zeus (Leader): The strongest and takes point on all missions outside of Thessaly and Chirons presence. He/She is to make the hard decisions on what plans and choices are best for the group, also takes blame on missions failed and lives lost. Often seen with the Child of Poseidon discussing plans for the team, has a good relationship with the Child of Artemis and Hermes considering that they are his eyes on where the group should move, and is probably most Hated by the Child of Ares considering they don’t like taking orders. This Demigod draws insane buffs when it’s storming
Child of Poseidon( 2nd in command):The second strongest Usually the voice of reason and often helps the Child of Zeus keep order amongst the group, also works closely with the Child of Athena when it comes to finalizing ideas and strategies, will take point if something happens to the Child of Zeus and has the best relationship with the Child of Ares. This Demigod draws Insane Buffs from any form of water and is even able to heal themselves from moderate wounds over a timespan corresponding with the severity of the wound.
Child of Hermes( Scout and messenger): Unarguably the fastest of the demigods and most stealthy of the group usually works closely with the Children Artemis and Apollo on scouting unknown territory and spotting potential threats. Also helps the group speak with other races having the ability to speak all languages often stuck with the Children of Athena Poseidon, and Zeus his Aligist abilities undeniably required.
Child of Artemis (Hunter/Tracker and guide): has the uncanny ability to assess the layout of the land matched with their vast knowledge can guide you wherever you need to go. Often Tracks down infamous night creatures and humans aligned with the Child of Hades that’s been reported causing problems. Often spend time exchange knowledge with The Child of Athena. Receives buffs under the cover of night fall able to see in complete darkness and can shoot in complete darkness.
Child of Athena( The Brains): The brains behind the scenes one of the two advisors of the child of Zeus. Likely an arguable nominee of second in command if there was ever a demand for a recount. The definition of if look could kill with some of the faces they serve, Don’t think that because they're known as the brains that there's no brawn, they’re still the child of the goddess of wisdom, and war strategies meaning they’ve probably planned for over a hundred ways to take you down. Receives buffs at 1 on 1 combat due to their ability to spot enemies weaknesses.
The Child of Apollo( Archer and Medic): the possibly most lethal of the group having the ability to kill a target while at unseen distances and rarely misses. Often works With The Child Of Zeus on missions where he plays over watch on the group when entering hostile territories, also works with the child of Hermès when he’s delivering messages through hostile territories and may need cover fire. He has the eye of a god and receives crazy buffs from the sun when using his bow.
Child of Ares: (Wild card/ muscle): The wild child of the group who’s first input is usually to destroy them, an incredible force of nature whose strength is only rivaled by the Children of Zeus and Poseidon. He’s often seen as a liability but only those who know of Ares’s story could understand his child’s story. Although he/she may bump heads with the other demigods it never stops him from being a reliable foundling, who’s often seen as the life of the group. This demigods power consistently increases the longer their fight making them even a threat to even armies as long as their armor holds up.( often seen begging the Child of Hephaestus to reinforce his armor).
Child of Hephaestus(Blacksmith/ craftsman): is arguably smarter than the child of Athena just in a different way. He doesn’t fight with a sword, spear or hammer he fights with his inventions his weaponry creations are unheard of. His role is difficult but necessary, if we need it bring them the materials and it will be constructed in a days time. He is on the everge of being able to forge Divine weapons.
