Chicago Adventure {Closed}

"Yeah?" He asked setting the champagne down. "Who is this?" He asked rubbing his thumb over a picture of Juliet. "It's kind of late." He looked at the clock, it was 3:30.

"I know, sorry, it's just I was thinking about what Allen said. I realize we can't really play phone with Allen, so it would probably be best if I ask if I can have your number." she rambled, before realizing she hadn't answered his first question. "Oh, this is Freya, we meet today, or yesterday. I didn't want to just ask Allen for your number so I am actually on his phone now. Sorry, I'm rambling, I shouldn't have called this late you are probably already sleeping."

"No, I don't really sleep." He said truthfully and stood setting the picture of her on the counter. He gave her his number and sat at the counter putting the bottle to his lips again. He thought about Freya how he stepped in pretending to be her boyfriend.

"Thanks, I'll text you my number, so you have it. Be kind of odd if I called to ask you when would be a good time, from a number you don't know." Freya let out a soft chuckled, before looking back at Allen, she sighed thankful he is a heavy sleeper. "I'm glad you got home ok, by the way, I actually had fun, thanks for the save by the way. I'm not good with that kind of stuff. In fact, if it wasn't for Michael and Allen I wouldn't have ever been on a date before."

He chuckled. "I'm glad I could help, I hope you think of me as a friend. Also I look forward to helping you find a car tomorrow. I am awesome at haggling." He said setting the bottle down. "Can I ask you a question?"

"I did call you at an odd hour, wouldn't be very nice to say no." Freya smiled, before biting her lip, "So, I welcome questions, if you have them."

"What did you think when you first saw me?" He asked softly. He looked at Juliet in the picture. He grabbed the frame pulling it closer. He wished he could hate her,but he didn't.

She couldn't help but tilt her head slightly, what did she think. "I kind of didn't. I mean, I figured a few things out when I saw you. I figured you had to have a pretty physical job one, you are obviously smart, but you aren't vague." she stated with a slight blush, "I mean, you don't usually notice the attention, or you might, just don't focus on it." she explained, then she smiled, "You are kind of like Allen, I guess. After all, you were probably the kid that didn't mind if your friends were popular as long as you got along with them."

He thought about what she said. "Im sorry if that was weird question, I was just wondering." He said as he slammed the picture down on the counter, the glass cracked. He shook his head. "I don't really like attention, if you haven't noticed I like to lay low."

Freya smiled, "I'm more of an invisible person, myself." She giggled, "I'm not really sure about a lot, but I'm sure about that much."

"I think so, and I think we'll be good friends." He smiled.

"C-colt." The red head tip toes into the room. Colt turned and moved his phone to his chest so Freya couldn't hear.

"Sorry if I woke you." He fake smiles and stood. "I was just talking to a friend." The red head who's name he didn't remember nodded. She walked over wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I gotta go Freya I'll see you tomorrow."

Freya smiled, "Ok. Night." She said before hanging up. She yawned and stretched before going to put Allen's phone back and moving to the other side of the bed to lay down. She closed her eyes and sighed, before she started drifting to sleep.

"Let's go to sleep." Colt said pulling her towards the bed. She laid down all over him. He fell asleep soon after. He dreamt about his beautiful Juliet just like every night.

Allen poked Freya on the side, to wake her, She jumped up, "Morning." He smiled.

"That's not a good way to wake people up." Freya protested.

"Thanks for the aspirin." Allen said, getting off the bed, "Come on, I'll take you for breakfast and you can call the docs and let them know their baby is ok." He chuckled.

"Please tell me you didn't mention that?" Freya pleaded as she got up.

"Huh?" Allen looked at her confused, "No." He said offended, "All I told them was we went to high school together. I didn't mention the whole raised by doctors or your allowance. Do you even still get it?"

Freya sighed, "Yeah. I'm going to have to use it today, for the down payment."

Allen shock his head, "I'd use it to buy it, but yeah, I see how you are." He smiled, "Come on, shower and get dressed, let's go."

Freya smiled, getting up, "Fine."

Colt sat up groaning. He rubbed his temples. The red head was no where to be seen but her number was in lipstick on his mirror. He shook his head and walked into the kitchen for coffee. He made himself a pot and poured a huge. Glass he drank it as he slipped into his chair.

Eventually he took some aspirin and walked into his room. He took a shower and gotdeessed. He wore a black ACDC tshirt and white wash jeans with his motorcycle boots and a black and white motorcycle jacket.

Freya looked nervously around, She wore a simple blue top with jeans, her hair down and Allen still in last night's clothes. He lead her to a booth and smiled as she looked out the window, crawled up in a corner. Allen was surprised when the first think she did, when they got in his car was text someone. He didn't ask, but she made a quick text, before calling her parents.

Freya thought about what Colt had asked her. She didn't know why it popped into her head, maybe because she finally texted him her number? Or it might have something to do with her wondering the same question. She always liked being as simple as possible, even if her parents were a far cry from simple. Kids always thought she was snooty and spoiled, so they didn't talk to her. She always had one of their comments in her head, but then there were kids like Michael. Even before he liked boys he was her friend and because of that they all thought she bought him. He never cared, but when Allen befriended them, it was different.

She looked at Allen, that question still in her head. What did Allen think of her when he first saw her? She was a snooty rich kid to everyone else, but he popped up and it was like he didn't care about anyone talking about him. She wondered if it was really her family he was seeing, before. But now, She wanted to know, what he saw in her that made him ignore everyone and become her friend. She brushed the thought away as the waiter came to take their orders.

Colt felt his phone buzz and pulled it out of his pocket. He added her number to his contacts. Then sighed and went to finish in packing.

He left the picture box alone and walked over to the rest. He started with his xbox and all his games. He took it out of the box and hooked it up to the flat screen already in the room. Then he stacked up all his games and moved on to the next box.

After breakfast, Allen took Freya with him to his place do he could shower and get dressed. As he came out of the shower, he found Freya at his take with a pen and notepad, "What are you doing?" He asked, looking over her shoulder.

"I was making a list of things I needed. Then I had time so I'm working on some notes." Freya answered, Allen shook his head.

"Michael didn't even being your piano, how are you going to play?" Allen asked, going to the kitchen for something to drink. "So, you want me to take you to the store, or what?"

"Please?" She asked, "I want to get a guitar at least. I want to move the living room around, I still need a tv and I want to start playing in a while." She said, before taking her phone out.

Allen walked back over to her with a cup of coffee, "Who you calling?"

"No one, just going to check when Colt wanted to go do the car thing." Freya said, going through the few contracts she had to his name before texting him to ask when he wanted to go look at cars.

Allen smirked, "When did you get Colt's number?"

"Last night." Freya smiled, "So are you taking me?"

"Yeah, come on." He said going back to the kitchen as Freya got her things together. They left his place together, to go grocery shopping.

Colt felt his phone buzz again and he looked over to see it was Freya. He plopped on his couch as he responded.

Around three I think :)

He grabbed the remote and turned on the flat screen. He flipped through channels for a while until he gave up and turned on his xbox.

Allen pulled up to a place that Freya didn't know, "That doesn't look like a grocery store." she stated, looking at it from the passenger seat.

Allen grinned, "It's not. Max called while I was getting dressed, he's cousin is taking him to get his car, but Colt hasn't said anything, so here we are. Come on, I know he needed to go shopping too. Between moving and last night, he hasn't had the time. Ii wonder if red is still here." he chuckled, before Freya could protest he was out of the car and started towards the door.

Freya sighed, following after him, "Did you call him and let him know you were coming?" she asked him.

Allen grinned, "What would be the fun in that?" he asked, before he banged on the door, "Up you go, Colt. Open up." he shouted through the door.

Colt almost jumped out of his skin. He sighed and stood up. He waded through the boxes. He needed a dog he thought, of course his fiancé kept their three year old Husky.

He opened the door and raised an eyebrow. "Uh hi?" He said stepping back and opening the door wide to let them in.

Allen grinned, "Morning or whatever it is." he said, walking in, Freya sighed, giving Colt a nervous smile.

"Hi." she said as she walked in after Allen.

Allen smirked as he looked around, "Don't looked lived in yet but I guess since you just in it wouldn't." he stated, before hitting a box with his leg. Looking down he noticed a picture in one of the boxes around it. "You've got to be kidding?" he stated, going in the box and taking a picture out, showing Colt, "You really kept momentums?" he sighed, Freya noticed it was a picture of Colt and someone, she figured was the ex-fiance. She sighed nervously, here Allen goes pushing when he shouldn't, or rather when he should, but at a bad time. Freya bite her lip and stepped closer to the wall. Allen had a habit of throwing his ideas around and trying to make them stick. Usually he could, who is going to ignore Mr. Popularity. Allen had a way with people and he always seem to want the best for others, he was nice and caring, but he was pushy and bossy too. Freya always felt like he pushed his weight around sometimes, without really noticing the impact.

Colt snatched the pictures back shoving them in the box. "I'm gonna get rid of them, she just told me to take all my stuff." He shut the box and smoothed his hand through his hair like he did when he wasn't being truthful. He didn't want his friends to know just how broken he was. It wasn't their problem and he didn't want to put his heart break on anyone. "What are you guys doing here anyways?" He asked shoving his hands into the pockets of his motorcycle jacket. "I told you I'd meet you at 3."

Freya looked shocked, "I wanted to go grocery shopping." She protested.

Allen sighed, "It was my idea, figured you would need some groceries and you still have the rental at my place. Came to get you, we can all go get some food and you can get your car." Allen stated, before he started to look around, "Haven't door much to the place huh? You know I still have some stuff that might add some personality if you want? Been aiming to get rid of them." He smirked mischievously, "I'll trade you." He knew it was a long shot, but he already knew Colt's ticks, "I'm dump that box and you can have some of my stuff to spice up this place? Besides, if tonight goes well, I'm not going to really need and bachelor stuff." He grinned, "We would be doing each other a favor, right?" Allen smirked, he knew Colt would get what he was going and he would usually just blurt it out without any restraint, but he honestly did think they all should get groceries together, or at least Colt should come to get his car.

Colt shook his head. "I'd rather do it myself, besides I already got some stuff more than enough actually. I moved from a huge house remember?" He said with a shrug. "I do need to go to the store though." He looked at Freya with a small smile. He could already tell that she wasn't the mastermind of this ordeal. Allen probably wanted to come over just to see if he'd thrown away all Juliet's stuff.
