Futuristic Character Submission [OLD]
I understand and have read all the terms for the RP and will abide by them.
The biggest thing that I can classify as a weakness until/if I get a Modifier is Marcus's brash and making it up as he goes attitude, one of the things that brought him to his occupation as a homeless thief. Sure he can plan but at times he just like going where the wind takes him. Something that could cause some bad or humorous situations (Probably a bit of both) Will that work?
Awesome, and yeah, sounds great!

Creeping, Blue, characters also approved and accepted. I will incorporate all 3 of you into the next Major update soon!

Name: Alexander Adreyus

-Physical description

add07_big.jpg

-A Bit of bio

Alexander Adreyus is the son of a king and his consort in a land of magic, filled with magic users and aura users. However, this king was not a benevolent king. Rather, it was a king that never left his stronghold, and who wanted all the power for himself. He went beyond Avarice itself and became the worst kind of being, something you couldn't even consider human anymore even though he was still of that race. The moment he found his consort was with child, he ejected her from the palace and, after waiting long enough for Alexander to be born, the king sent his assassins to kill his former consort and her child as he desired no heirs, for he only saw heirs as inevitable contestants for his throne, and his power.

Alexander and his mother were always on the move to avoid the king's assassins, moving from city to city, kingdom to kingdom. Alexander never questioned the kind of life they lead, and his mother was never anything but kind and caring. She nurtured him and encouraged him to learn everything he could, and pursue what he wanted to know. Consequently, Alexander spent his first thirteen years primarily reading books. It wasn't until just before his thirteenth birthday that he encountered someone his age, a friendly and eager individual who only wanted to be friends and have fun. Everything about that other child made Alexander stop and think, and to question if what he had as a life was normal, and WHY they had to keep moving. When his mother said it was time to move again, Alexander refused until she told him why. With sorrow in her eyes, Alexander's mother brought out a necklace with the symbol of the kingdom they were from and of the king that ruled over it, and gently told him the truth of their lives, and why the always had to run. With the truth in hand Alexander, young though he was, knew he had to make a choice, and he didn't need to stop for a moment to think about what his decision would be. He already knew the answer the moment he learned the truth.

In that moment he forsook his remaining childhood and made a promise to his mother and himself that he would change everything-- that one day they would no longer have to run, and could just live their lives. Knowing her child would not be moved and that she couldn't bear to be parted from him, his mother agreed that they could stay in the city, but that they had to move within it and stay as uninteresting and out of sight to the world as possible. Alexander agreed and devoted the next three years to study, growing the genius that was within him and building his armor and Dynamo Units, inventing the drones he would use to assist him in battles, and learning combat forms. At the end of the third year he was ready to make his move, but in that moment a great war broke out as beings from another realm tore into his world, forming a rift and razing the land. As fortune had it he and his mother were finally leaving the city on that day, for none that were there survived. Leaving his mother with the family of the child he had met three years before, Alexander found an Aura Master and devoted himself to a year of intensive training as the Aura Master's student. At the end of his training, with Aura, Magic, and the technological might he crafted before the war, he entered the fray as one of the few powerful figures that would cause the turning of the tide, and sound the battle cry for all in his world to take up arms and defend their homes. During the war he bore the Pseudonym of Vari Juul Dhan and single-handedly defeated entire armies, gaining him the title "The Wandering Slayer."

The assassins hunting Alexander and his mother had been recalled at the start of the war, and once the war ended they did not return. Rather than return home, Alexander chose to journey the lands and gain all of the knowledge he could. After two years he became part of a small party of members that were hunting a man that called himself the Mercenary King, and became involved in many other events as well. During this time he never stopped pursuing his research or learning magic, and eventually reached the point where he could perform time/space magic and create pocket dimensions. With this power he created an engine that would cycle aura and magic endlessly, and grow both each time one was cycled into the other. He learned how to turn matter into pure energy and back again, and when his father the king died, he took his throne and single-handedly brought his Kingdom to an unprecedented glory with his wealth of knowledge that he freely shared with his subjects and encouraged them to make their own. However, this period would not last for long.

His world had once again been beset by invaders, and everywhere the boundaries between realms were thinning. Invaders from Earth were seeking an individual of singular power to bend to their will, magics within his realm sought to bring and end to magic, and many other individuals from many other places pursued their own agendas and brought chaos to the world. In the final hours of his universe his kingdom had fallen, and only a few powerful individuals remained. He entered the deepest space in his pocket dimensions and called upon the energy held there to take him somewhere, anywhere, else. As if in answer to his wish to begone from his doomed home, he was wrenched away from it by an outside force. However, this power, this force, this GOD that drew him out of his realm and towards another used not its own power, but the power he had stored and grown for so long to do it. Now he is about to appear, his great engines all but depleted, but his own considerable power still intact, even if diminished from years spent off the battlefield and on a throne. What will he do, and what will this brave new world unfolding before his eyes bring to him? Only time will tell.

-Any abilities or skills your character has

Armor: Crafted by Alexander himself, it channels and focuses both his own aura and whatever magic he wields and is worn under his normal clothing. It can also be used in tandem with his Dynamos to focus redirected energy and fire it back at his opponent. While the armor can be made invisible, he usually settles for just having it covered. The clothing he wears can also change colors and (within a limited extent) its shape.

Dynamo Units: He always keeps at least six on him, and they are attached to a belt or his back and shoulders when they are not in use. They are used for forming portals, drone construction/summoning, forming temporary energy construct around themselves (larger ones require more Dynamos), and firing off their own energy attacks. They each have an individual power source, but are connected to each other and Alexander's Armor via spacetime magic. He also has two significantly larger units that not only channel his power, but are also where he stores his six wands. His Dynamos and many of his other drones are also capable of redirecting or absorbing energy attacks fired off by his opponents, whether the energy is derived from aura or magic.

Wands: Alexander has two wands for offensive and defensive elemental spells and buffs, one wand specifically for buffs and teleportation, and one wand that is specifically for teleportation and healing. He also has two time/space wands. Each wand can only use one spell at a time, which means if a wand has an active buff running rather than placing a temporary buff enchantment on an item or person, it cannot be used for anything else. In Alexander's world, magic was all around him and was the source of power for all of his wands. Without magic present, he will have to channel aura into his dynamos to translate it into magic so the wands have something to pull from.

Aura: He can channel it to strengthen himself or manifest it as an outward force to attack or defend with. He also channels it through his armor and Dynamo Units.

Drones: These reside in his personal vault, which is in his own personal pocket dimension. They run off of a combination of magic and aura.

- At LEAST ONE Weakness or Two.

While his abilities are many, the strain of the travel and the amount of energy required not only drained his engine of nearly all its energy, but greatly weakened him as well. Once hailed as the God King for his power and benevolence, Alexander is now even weaker than he was during the war he fought in, and will have to rely more heavily on cunning and strategy while he recovers his strength.

While he is a kind person, his manner can often come off as brusque when in more personal surroundings. The flaw in his mannerisms is the direct result of a lack of social activity in his life and can easily turn others away from him if he is not careful.

Okay, so I probably put WAY too much into his character. I've tried to compensate for it by crippling and diminishing much of his power he had at his peak so that he will have to grow into a LOT of what was once capable of again. I'll leave to what extent that is up to you guys, although I get the feeling I'll have to edit this guy several times before he's allowed in. :| I hope to hear from you guys soon though, and I am very much looking forward to joining. :)

-Name: Goes by 'Mr. Roboto'. Not that he's a cyborg. Lets people call him Kilroy, or Roy for short. He really likes pre-6th world music.

-Physical description (or image if you'd prefer):Tall elf, always armored with the best light gear available. Dark haired under his helmet. Carries a duffel bag and has two heavy-looking belt-loaded shotguns strapped to his back. Has a light powersuit mainly meant for mechanical work; highly insulated and able to prevent light cuts, and has built in tools. Also, can anchor his feet to the ground.

-Describe their personality to a good extent:

Paranoid, cocky, yet somewhat selfless. Keyword somewhat.

-A Bit of bio/background story:A run went wrong for him. His Johnson betrayed him and decided to test a teleporting device almost guaranteed to kill him. Instead, it fucked up all his active drones, leaving him to replace the broken parts and swap between drones as needed.

-Any abilities or skills your character has

Wireless psychic hacking.

Sprite creation. Not the soda; little artificial intelligences that very rarely gain actual sentience. They can help hack, pilot drones or protect his mind from other technomancers.

Drones: includes a pair each of: small scouting drones, sniper drones and sword-wielding drones.

Gyroscopic weapon mount: While firing a gun heavy enough might throw him off balance enough, his shots will still stay on point if he's using this. Attached to his pack.

300 degree sight: camera mounted on his pack that can see almost anything bigger than a fly.

- At LEAST ONE Weakness or Two.

(Make it something more specific then just regular old mortality, like a phobia/crippled somewhere/weak against something)

Another Technomancer can try to hack him, though that runs both ways.

A failed hacking attempt can temporarily cripple or kill him if the IC is built to cripple or kill.

His sprites could become sentient and become huge pests.

Armor stops bullets, but isn't hard, meaning he takes a bit of the impact spread across a far wider area.

-And anything else you would like to add if you wish to join.

Most things, including guns, from his world are hackable. This means that he will try hacking people's guns if pointed at him. He will fail miserably. Cyborg parts will likely end up the same, but more discretion there.

samurott_gijinka____murrow__by_silverdraclp-d6khiti.png
Height: 5"6

Weight: 160 lb

Bio: There was nothing too special about Adam. He ate food, slept where he could, and traveled the realm for his only hobby, collecting flowers. Cut flowers, pressed flowers, live flowers; Adam collected and saved them any way he could to preserve their beauty. He even goes as far as using his powers of Hydrokenesis to supply his flowers with water while on the move to the next blossoming plant he finds. His sword is used more on plants, pruning and clipping, than on the flesh of others, much to his sword crafter's displeasure.

Weakness: Suffers from Panzosim, nothing but flowers makes him react deeply

Power: Hydrokenesis (waterbending)

Re-Accepted! You'll be introduced into the next update!

(Sorry for the lateness aaaaaa)

-Name: Credo Xavier, The Breaker of Saints, Todsünde.

-Appearance:

KN6xmtT.png
-Personality: Cunning, devious, surprisingly proper and courteous, very dramatic and strategic, Credo has seen ages go by and has made a legend of himself, his name known, feared by some, admired by others, either way, he earned his titles, his most known being "The Breaker of Saints" and Todsunde, German for "Cardinal Sin" due to his appearance of a Demonic entity. He has been given benevolent titles though, along with being respected as a King at one point in time, so his alignment remains shrouded in mystery except to those who know him or are allies with him.

-A bit of Bio/Background Story: Credo is a creature of the Dark, an Ascendant, often revered as a God by the lesser races of the Dark and they're not that far off. His power was great indeed, but total evil was not and has never been nor will it ever be his goal. Mindless destruction disgusted him, so when he emerged into the "Mortal World" thousands of years ago, he made sure he was a mystery, but not a constant threat to life. He had maintained this for so long, but now a side must be taken, for he had been dragged into this...conflict, along with many others. And right now, the side of good is looking quite appealing.

-Abilities and Skills:

 • Dark Energy, known as Blight - His main source of power, Credo manipulates this energy masterfully for destruction, along with creation. Utilizing this power to launch energy orbs/missiles, beams, cause explosions to erupt from the ground, but also to create Dark Constructs namely Spears, Swords and the like, even heal others, Blight is quite versatile.
 • Shapeshifting - His appearance can be changed at will from his original appearance to any other being, normally Human in a cloak as his preferred disguise, using his Blight.
 • Teleportation - A basic and quintessential ability in his eyes, allowing him to go considerable distances, or just short range if in a desperate need for a getaway to recover.
 • Echo/Shade Creation - From the Darkness itself, Credo can craft an imperfect Doppelganger of himself which holds a fraction of his normal power, but he can see through their eyes, they could be anywhere and they're menacing to boot, as they are wreathed in Darkness, Echoes float as they are missing legs, Shades can create a copy of Credos sword and they're both expendable yet essential.
 • Expert Swordsman - With his Blade, seen in his image above, Credo can crush his enemies with "The Willbreaker" Sword, which holds a Amethyst Heart of Darkness within it.
 • Insurmountable Willpower - His will has been hardened and enforced over the ages, to the point where it can not only no longer be beaten, but can be exercised over others with ease.

-Weaknesses:

 • Light Energy - As a creature of the Dark, the power of Light can hurt him more so than other energies, and while it can be corrupted by his Blight, it is hard to do so when deadly projectiles of the stuff are being hurled at him.
 • A Good Challenge - Credo simply cannot resist a good challenge from a worthy opponent and this can be quite...well, bad for a lot of people. His allies will need to pry him away from the situation if need be.

-Miscellaneous: He owns a Sword called "The Willbreaker", which has slayed thousands of enemies. His wings support him with ease. One of his hobbies is....cooking of all things.

While it's a really great app...

I'm afraid i'm going to have to say no.

:c

I believe you MAY have taken the title "Among Gods" A liiiiittle too seriously in perhaps the wrong way.

We are not PLAYING AS GODS.

But rather we are AMONG THEM.

Primarily as
mundane/mortal characters with all of their own flaws and quirks.

I have to outright say no to Credo because he's way WAY too much like a god, way too many skills and really overpowered abilities such as the teleportaiton, self doppleganger, unbreakable will and shape shifting.

Sorry, but you're definitely welcome to try again!

Give the guidelines/rules another look through, and take a look through other player's apps here on this tab's first post for examples!!

Ahhh...my mistake. :/

I stayed up faaaar too late at night to make this application and the rules and implications just...well, they weren't there in my head. I'm very sorry about this. :(

Don't sweat it SK - just dial down the power level - your character can always work towards becoming absurdly powerful through play and character development and shenanigans... it might take a while though :P

A little too used to RPs that allow powerful guys as well. XP

But you're quite right, I believe. :)

To Neow, can I recreate Credo but just...less powerful? xD

Of course!! You're always welcome to give it another try or make another character!

Again, double check guidelines and see other people's characters as examples!!

(Also stripping them of most, if not all, their powers in the beginning can work too, but its not preffered since its quite annoying for me to keep track and handle in some cases.)

New character! Hopefully, he's more acceptable. XP

-Name:
Malphas, Walker of the Abyss

-Appearance:

-Personality:
Fitting for a Knight so dark, Malphas is quite cold in his word delivery and actions, often being merciless towards his enemies and choosing to kill them nine times out of ten when they are defeated. Despite this, he retains his honour and sense of dignity, never fighting dirty and always carries himself properly, leveling out his colder words with some propriety. The power of a God is a great temptation of man, but Malphas considers it merely a bonus, rather being more committed to the quest at hand. When the need calls for it, he can be quite snarky, but also surprisingly angry.

-A bit of Bio/Background Story: Once a well-respected "White Knight", Malphas's fall from Grace came not from a Woman, not from Greed, nor did it come illicit activities but rather a betrayal. In his past, Malphas was tasked with walking through the Abyss itself, which had infested the land of his home and his Light was once so bright that it allowed him to traverse it long enough to push it back, making him a revered man, but him being humble back then, he just did his job. However, a friend of his, a good friend at that, was envious of his power and fame...so, upon entering the Abyss one time, his friend had the gateway closed behind him, cutting him off from the world and allowing the creatures of the dark to pull him deeper and deeper until his Light could not cut it anymore and allowed the Darkness in, corrupting him entirely.

However, his power was not diminished, rather increased, allowing him to retain his sense of self and escape that realm into his homeland yet he did not go back to his home properly, initially feeling shame for submitting to the Dark, but this soon changed into a sense of purpose elsewhere. And this, was shortly met, for he was later taken from his world into this one and would help the side of good.

-Abilities and Skills:

 • Darkness - Once a Warrior of Light, his extended time in the Abyss has caused all of his light to be tainted, defiled and corrupted until it was naught but Darkness within his soul. However, he has control over it like he did with Light, to launch Dark Energy Blasts/Missiles, expel it in shockwaves and beams along with liquid darkness to cause extra harm. His aura is quite intense as well, showing itself during battle as a dark-purple flame-like mist from his body showing how powerful he is currently, but he cannot exceed or reach the power of a God, just a powerful combatant.
 • Swordsmanship - A sword-wielding Knight needs to know how to handle a blade and he certainly does just that, being quite proficient with his Zweihander, the Knightfall, even with a single hand.

-Weaknesses:

 • Light - His once beloved Light burns him like fire, attacks centered around the element and force do far more damage than any other power or attack.
 • Defense - He is a mainly offensive based fighter, so when attacked he hardly ever blocks or can't block at all, but he can dodge roll away.

-Miscellaneous: His blade was once called "Nightbane" but has since been renamed post-corruption by himself.

Getting Closer!!!

But i'm afraid what im reading here is just Artorias re-created (the image just tops it off more though...), again im sorry but i'm going to say no again, i'm sorry.

As much as i'd love to have Artorias, or at least someone incredibly similar to him, within AG, I unfortunately cannot accept it.

The App is far too similar to the actual character in the Dark Souls IP, and doesn't sound like an Original character or as (i would HOPE) imaginative as your previous character.

In character guidelines, I do detail:

Neow46 said:
-Please use a character YOU'VE created, and not something from another original work. THIS MEANS THE CHARACTER HAS TO BE FROM AN ORIGINAL UNIVERSE YOU CREATED. Not a videogame or other fictional work.
And I will strictly enforce this whenever I can.

While the image is fine as a visual representation of the Character, and inspiration/based off of the Original character is also fine.

This particular was TOO HEAVILY inspired or based off of Artorias.

I am sorry.

Once again, you're welcome to try once again!

You're getting closer, and these apps are certainly well designed and written out!!

It's just that unfortunately the Characters within them are not suited for Roleplay this I feel.

If you want, I can work with you over PM's to figure out a character together if you wish too!

Grrrrrrr. xD

Would have thought giving him a character outside of "SMASH PLAYER CHARACTER" that Artorias had would have helped, but alas. That and Art wasn't betrayed, but I digress.

I'll get there eventually. XP

@SuperiorKunivas I BELIEVE IN YOU! YOU CAN DO IT!

Seriously, though, those apps are looking really good. Do you play D&D? Another roleplaying game where it's possible to make a character? That's where I got the inspiration for Jaik - I played an undead assassin, and while Jaik isn't undead, he's certainly an assassin, and acted pretty dead inside for a while (character development and all sort of put a stop to that). Ironically, this character has vastly outlasted my other character by a year and a half.

If you don't play a game like that, then try making a person, or focusing on a character trait (preferably a vice; those are way more interesting and fun to play) - like selfishness, or passive aggressiveness, or manipulatable - and construct the character first, the backstory, and the basic personality of said character, and then build the powers/physical-abilities around THAT.

So, if I were to choose, for instance, arrogance, I would make my character a noble who grew up in a palace and who never had to worry about dirt or filth or the world's problems. Then I would construct a backstory, I would add a few things to make the character more powerful than that (again, you don't have to be too powerful/good - usually, it makes for a more interesting story if your character can't do everything), like he was trained in the art of fencing (one of those "sports" that seem pretty snobby, don't you think? Ironic, since I know how to fence) for a couple of decades and got really, really good at it, and can talk his way out of a lot of situations - like a noble would be raised to be able to do.

Boom. You have a character with a backstory, interesting personality development, a possible inner conflict (maybe the people around me aren't a bunch of losers?), enough power to make it through the early stages of the role-play in order to obtain more power and influence, but not enough to make it boring and/or hard for the GM to challenge you, and you've left it open-ended enough so that you can add more and illustrate more of your character when it comes to you.

Was that helpful? I really like your tone, and you seem to have good chemistry (At least with Neow). Assuming you still want to play, I really look forward to playing with you, dude.

(Also, @Neow46, capitalize your damn "I'm"s)

If I can get Neow to accept a My Little Pony OC, anything is possible. (Anything). Your apps are a good read though, so keep at it. I personally create characters by drawing details from my own life experiences, names, personalities, things like that. You might give that a try, but that's just what works for me. Keep at it dude, can't wait to see what you make next!

Either I'm terrible at making characters or Neow as a GM is very...restrictive. And I'm not comfortable with that I'm afraid.

I'll pass on this RP. Sorry. :(

Very sorry to hear that then, but again you're always willing to come back and give it another try!
