The Wordsmith Myth
A Story Teller
(I would add a time limit to the cotnrol and have to pick between infecting people of infecting machines not both)Name: Saburo Kusanagi
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: View attachment 722670
Quirk:
Quirk Name: The Swarm
Quirk Type: Mutation
Saburo’s Quirk manifests itself as a virus in his brain called the Nucleus, acting as the leader to others infected by his condition. If Saburo looks at somebody without wearing his protective glasses, the Nucleus will discharge a copy of itself into the victim through an electrical discharge from Saburo's eyes into that person's face. Upon a successful infection, the person will state "Contact has been made." The virus will then begin to control that person's mind, overriding their biological functions and disrupting neural pathways, leading to an obssessive monomania about fulfilling the Nucleus's desires. The Nucleus wants to become the most powerful organism on the planet and to suppress humanity since it views people like cattle, their only function is to be incubators for it's kind. The Swarm operates like an insect colony, with the Nucleus acting as the queen and those infected are the worker drones. Extremely adaptive, the Swarm doesn't exist as a typical virus but spreads through electrical impulses, from person to person via the eyes. However, as the infection takes hold, the person begins the growing of grey filaments around their eyes and hands as the Swarm adapts it's hosts biology to suit it's needs.
A medical scanner concludes the following when detecting the Swarm. "Unidentified viral-type infection with noetic characteristics seated in the mind-brain interface, therefore having no ascertainable mass or atomic strucutre."
Saburo's own biology has been mutated by the Nucleus, developing a second cardiovascular system to more efficiently give the Nucleus oxygen as well as performing upgrades to his brain so he can infect computers and robots with the virus as well since it can act as both a traditional and a computer virus due to it's electrical nature that can infect any system by attacking it with the same electrical discharge it uses to infect organic beings. Upon infection, the computer or robot will begin to glitch heavily before stating "Contact has been made." if it's defenses are breached.
Weakness: Certain people, like carriers of One for All are immune to The Swarm infecting them, it's energy destroying the electrical impulses the virus uses to control the brain before it can take control.
Heavily mutated individuals can resist the virus due to their alien biology for a short time, although the Swarm's extreme evolutionary power means that the infection will adapt to it's host biology quickly.
The virus can be cured in humans via intense but short electroconvulsive therapy, the burst of electricity through the brain powerful enough will disrupt the Swarm virus in that person enough to kill it. In robots/computers, shutting down the system then completely purging the memory and any backups will erase the Swarm, however if the Swarm is in another system connected to the purged one, it can use the vacant memory space to re-establish itself.
Role: Villain Apprentice (Maybe with Kyle?)
Backstory: Born to a Quirkless geneticist father and a geneticist mother who could control blood, Saburo was born with a terminal degenerative neural disease that would have killed him by age 18. His parents put their energy and time into repairing the disorder by replacing the faulty genetic link using an adapted virus to inject the repaired genetic material into his DNA via a process called CRISPR Cas-9, it also caused his Quirk to manifest as the virus assimilated Saburo's Quirk and evolved at a speed millions of times faster than normal due to hiarents editing. Saburo had a normal childhood until age 8 when the Nucleus infected the train's computer system through the door opening terminal when Saburo removed his glasses to clean them and tried to take control of it as well as the passengers, causing the driver to pass out and the train to crash into the station at full speed, killing most of the people onboard inlcuding Saburo's parents and injuring everyone else. He grew up in the foster care system in a children’s home and was eventually put into a halfway home which he was kicked out of for smoking weed, having developed the habit to suppress his memories of his parents dying as wel as to try and block out the Nucleus's constant requests for him to infect people. Homeless and broken, Saburo crushed his glasses underfoot and resolved to live hedonisitically, infecting people and stealing their money for personal gain. (Rest to be added, I'm thinking a villain finds him and his Quirk and takes Saburo under his wing?)
