Kaota was a mistake. He was born because an unknown man raped his mother. Kaota was raised by his mother until he was 5, however his mother committed suicide. After he witnessed this, he was taken to hospital due to him being in shock. He spent six years in the hospital and ended up forgetting about his real past, however he didn't lose his memory naturally, as they were replaced with a new memory. It is unknown what the new memory was. After this happened, he was adopted by an old man who lived in a temple. The old man's name was Tokihama and he began training Kaota all the while raising him. The old man didn't know what to call his adopted child, so he decided to call him Kaota because it was his dead dog's name. Tokihama Kaota was raised by the old man until he was eighteen years old. The old man died of old age, causing Kaota to be sad for a while. He stayed strong, however, and trained himself. After he traded his strength for Time Control, he decided he should study and not always train, so he registered at Fantasy High.
