28 || Female || Wyrmspawn || Nox
Watching Midas go to bed she would face Veth once more, offering up a somewhat sad smile. “Even a God can fear death and hate his assigned position.”

She couldn’t continue when there quite a bit of commotion occurring in the center of the room. With a frown Kat would watch as Darrene dragged the newcomer into the center and her and Lorella began to shout in his face. Yes, he was a mortal… but how did he get inside? Confused the woman was ready to approach him herself when Delta would enter the room, walking directly towards them. “Enough of this.” She said sternly, stopping not far from the small group before addressing Lorella. “You know nothing of this situation and therefore should not make such drastic accusations. That is for the Wyrmlords and Nox to decides ONLY. Do I make myself clear?” Her eyes bore into the triton for a few moments before his features softened slightly as he faced Caris. “I apologize for the children's’ rude behavior, as I was informed by my father that you are not supposed to be here. But seeing as he doesn’t want to risk you leaving, and wasn’t too happy about my suggestion of wiping your memories, it looks like you are to stay for now. I’m sure these two-” He gestured towards Darrene and Lorella. “Would be happy to fill you in on the current situation.”

With that she would move back towards the large doors, this time addressing the entire group. “Lights out in ten minutes. Don’t make me come back in here.” Her eyes would then center onto Katrina. “You’re coming with me.” Obediently she would wordlessly follow the Wyrmlord out of the room.

Kat was ordered to go to her room directly, Delta clearly distressed about her having been mingling with the other Wyrmchildren. Yet as she entered her room, Eshne was stood there with a stupid grin on her face. “Aunt Eshne, w-“ “You and the human woman, huh.” Being caught off guard by this, her eyes widened. “W-what is do mean?” The Wyrmlord’s expression only continued to grow. “I saw you two in the commons and now I hear you were cuddling after your transformation.” Katrina was unable to speak, a bright blush of embarrassment rising in her face. Here Eshne’s tone and gaze would soften. “There isn’t any shame in being in love Kat.” The goddess of war was the only one to refer to her by such a nickname. “If there were, all those Wyrmchildren in there wouldn’t exist.” With that she’d move forward, embracing the Wyrmspawn briefly, her face falling as she pulled back. “I… would try to keep this from Nox.” Hearing this, Katrain would only become more confused. “Why? I know I am not supposed to be interacting with the mortals but-” Eshne would cut her off. “I just would, please. Me, Zephyr, and Vis agreed to keep Delta at bay as well.”

After agreeing they would part ways, Katrina left to fall asleep for the night.

The next morning, the Wrymchildren would be rather rudely awakened bright an early. “Its time to get up, kiddos!” Zephyr called as he entered the room with a wide grin. “First day’s always the worst, but hey, it’ll get easier. We got breakfast in the commons, don’t be late or Eshne might eat all the bacon.” This last phrase was more of a grumble as he turned and quickly exited the room, leaving them all to wake themselves.

The Irony of her, as a child of dragons, assaulting a human wasn't lost to her. Taking a step back as Lorella would try interrogating the self-proclaimed scholar. It could have been her in the middle of the room, surrounded by those her kind dreaded.
Exhaling deeply, Darrene watched the fire in her heart send sparks accompanying her breath, feeling the strong muscle's beat soften, realizing that there was no reason for them to sow the seeds of strife.

Delta's arrival would break up the commotion, as Darrene would glance over to Lorella with those fiery orbs of hers, a soft smirk appearing on her face.
"You have to teach me some of your techniques yourself, I do believe they will prove to be useful some time." The descendant of Eshne joked as she stepped closer to the triton, resting her hand on her shoulder before turning her attention to the intruder.

"I am terribly sorry for how I acted, and I'd like to apologize for both me...and my friend over here." Her grip on Lorella's shoulder tightening as she smiled apologetically.
"I do not know what force of fate made our paths cross, but there might be a reason for you being here, other than chance." Darrene would remark with a chuckle, her broad chest rising as she let go of Lorella.

Her eyes came to follow Katrina being led out of the chambers, leaving an aching pit where her heart beat, the uncertainty of the golden-eyed woman's part to play in Nox's great scheme making her worry for her safety. She did not trust the man who supposedly created the very earth she treaded on, the air she breathed, the world she lived in, and knowing Katrina's fate was heavily interlinked with that of the Wyrmking made a somber expression creep unto Darrene's face.

"Why do I feel like I've returned to that time when I first joined the city guard? Being commanded by others when to sleep and when to rise? Lectured on common courtesy and sharing my chambers with what used to be strangers to me?" The warrior would muse with a chuckle, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she raised an eyebrow at Lorella.

Slowly making her way over to her cot, Darrene would come to sit at the edge of her bed, eyeing the armor that lay to her feet.
She did not know if the equipment she had brought with her would suffice for the trials that her and the other wyrmchildren would inevitable face.
But exhausting soon came to lay over her like a dreary cloak, making the warrior yawn and flex her tense muscles as sleep became a pleasant prospect.

It had been a long day.
A day filled with a lot of revelations, with things she had never dreamt to be possible, new friends she had made, and a strange new sensation that festered in her heart. The candle that had been lit this fateful morning having grown into a warm bonfire, sustaining itself on images of raven hair, pale skin and vivid golden eyes....

dragon_header_block.jpg

Morning came faster than Darrene had anticipated, sleep still clouding her mind as the voice of Zephyr awoke her from her slumber.
A groan so very unfitting of a lady escaping her lips as she got up from her cot, brushing her fingers through the thick dark hair adorning her head.

Her body felt sore, as if she had been exercising the entirety of the past day, muscles tense and aching...
Yet her mind was as sharp as it could be, blinking with her fiery eyes to cast the sleep out of her glare Darrene would rise from her cot.
"Who does Zephyr think I am to lecture me on such things?" the warrior would chuckle as she would retrieve a strap of boiled leather from her equipment.
Her hands coming to brush her dark hair back as she would bind it with the strap, keeping most of her dark mane tamed in a wolf-tail.

Sliding into her set of leather breeches, Darrene would fidget with the straps of her trousers before putting on her riding boots.
Her white blouse still hung from her broad shoulders as she would pick up her scale-mail coat and putting on the fine work of human blacksmiths.
The scale-like patterns the metal reminding Darrene of her draconic frame, oddly fitting to her as she felt the coat that was once somewhat loose, fitting her toned frame perfectly.
"Good thing I hadn't tailored this to my own measurements or I would have looked like a fool." The warrior chuckled as she adjusted the wide brim of her collar.

Putting on her belt, a few notches less than she had to the day before, Darrene would walk over to the large doorway, stretching her tall frame as her fiery eyes would glance back to the other Wyrmchildren.

"You've heard Zephyr. A certain goddess of Fire seems to be just as ravenous as the dragons depicted in all those ancient tales. Time for us to make a stand, huh?" The warrior would chuckle as she made her way to the great hall, the sound of her long steps echoing from the massive stone walls that lead her to where she had lost her sword the day before.

Opening the large gate as she did not know what to expect from the hospitality of the Wyrmlords.
Allowing her gaze to wander over the great hall before finding her sword taunting her, lodged deep into one of the wooden beams supporting the chamber's roof.
"Oh, just you wait, I'll get you back." Darrene mumbled under her breath as she turned her attention to the plentiful breakfast, filling a plate with a healthy meal that would help her get her mind off things and prepare her for the day ahead.

"So, he would put his misery on another?" Veth asked, though she did not expect a response.

Veth's internal fuming was abruptly shattered when she overheard the female warrior speaking to a stranger within the room. She was holding him by his collar, smoke escaping from her mouth. The man's reply was only asked for trouble as the warrior woman surely would not be pleased with such a response. She fully turned her attention to the center of the room now as she heard the male speak his name and begin to inquire about the invitation the warrior has so carelessly mentioned. The harpy moved over to them, with Veth hoping her trying to take a role as a mediator.

However, things only escalated with the aquatic woman approached, her tone not at all friendly. Veth moved her left hand to grab her sword in a defensive gesture, but them remember she had lost everything in her transformation. She cursed under her breath, she had been so focused on making the jump and the fear of falling to her death that she had little time to consider what would happen to her personal items on her person. That was an issue for another time though, now she needed to end this before it got out of hand.

Midas had retired for the night and Kit had his own issues. Veth began to move forward to the center of the room with a slow and steady pace. Before she was able to intervene though, the wyrmelords returned and stepped in. Delta quickly snapped at the duo who had gone for the man, sternly telling them both that they basically had no rights to this behavior as they didn't know the situation. "Seems they also forget that we are all simply guests under this roof, relation or not. To act as though you are suddenly more because of being able to change into a dragon, how presumptuous," she said under her breath, halting in her advancement.

Kat was led away from them then, leaving their conversation unfinished, though Veth did not believe it would be the last time any of them would see the girl. Due to the announcement that they were to sleep soon, Veth moved over to the cot she'd pretty much claimed as her own. She did lay down, she sat upon it with her back against the stone. She was tired, but she didn't trust these people enough to rest, not after that little display either. She had enough of the 'us versus the world' mentality back home.

However, as much as Veth wanted to stay away, she eventually did doze off a some point during the night, still seated with her head tilted slightly. She jerked away and nearly fell off of the cot as Zephyr loudly greeted them in the morning. She winced as she got up, her body stuff from sleeping in such an uncomfortable position. She made her way over to the basin and had been about to use the water to wash her face, but just as she was about to splash the water on herself, she noticed something scaly in the water; the triton. Veth grimace slightly, letting the water fall back into the basin and drying her hands with a nearby cloth. This was thus far a horrible morning.

Darrene was going on about Eshne being ravenous and that they should take a stand. Veth sighed, a very horrible morning. She stretched out her limbs and made her way into the commons area where there was food. She grabbed quite a bit of fruit as well as some cooked eggs and bacon. She found a place to seat herself, drinking some refreshing water that thankfully did not come with a side of Triton.

Hazel simply watched as the this random guy gets interrogated by the others. She yawned, normally she would go over there and make it a more friendly atmosphere, but Delta had intervened already and declared lights out. Guess that solved itself? Welp, there wasn't much else to do so hazel sat herself down on the cot she had claimed earlier that day. Lying back she stared at the ceiling until sleep quickly claimed her. It had indeed been a very long and very delightful day.

She woke with a slight start, jumping up slightly as Zephyr's voice forced her from her slumber. Something she was a little grateful for. Stretching she stood and followed the others to the commons. Smiling and greeting everyone with a cheerful "Good morning!" as she went to grab herself some bacon along with the rest of her food before it was gone.

Caris
Human | 27 | Location: Stronghold

Caris nearly drew his sword when he was approached by the triton and started to anger him. His grip tightened and he could almost feel the steel of his blade being drawn from his sheathe. Yes, he knew he wasn’t supposed to be here, but something must have prevented that dragon from eating him. Normally when Caris encountered beasts with such power and intelligence, most just wanted to kill him off right there. Yet this dragon, he let him go, not something most would do without a fight. And now Caris was being threatened by a person he had just met? Understandable under the circumstances, but to him, he just wanted to go and find some peace.

His will to fight suddenly vanished though when a fierce presence overcame him from a woman that had walked in. She had completely dismantled the entire tenseness that had settled over the room and then proceeded to take the black haired female with her. Caris had no idea what to say, but he only grasped a few things of the entire situation, the words Wyrmlord, Nox, and father. If he remembered correctly, Nox was the embodiment of death, one of the dragons alongside Lucian. If the man called Nox father (if the giant black dragon was Nox), then Caris had just been saved by one of the five.

When he heard the fiery woman apologize, to say he was surprised was an understatement. Regaining his bearings, Caris nodded. “No need to apologize. I am truly in the wrong. I don’t know why I’m here, or why I’m alive even. I expected to be dead as soon as I blacked out outside. Any hostility is completely founded.” he replied hoping to end the conversation of him being here.

With the promise of lights out, Caris found a nice corner away from everyone, sat down, and wrapped his cloak tighter around him. Falling asleep, he just hoped he woke up alive.

Waking up was an ordeal when one slept in the corner of a room without proper prep. His neck hurt and moreso his back. Standing stiffly using the wall, Caris tried to ignore everyone else stirring within the room. When the one named Zephyr rudely awakened them all, Caris would just sigh and wait for everyone else to awaken. This was another clue to the mystery of where he was and who he was with. Caris would find out sooner or later, but first, breakfast sounded nice.

Ishnai found herself fascinated as the Harpy told her feline conversation partner of her people, her eyes widening as a slightly open-mouthed look of wonder crossed her face, akin to a young cub's being taught of anything they hadn't heard of before. They lived on cliffs near the sea? Ishnai found herself shiviering at that thought. One could fall into that cursed water at any moment, she'd imagine. Though, she supposed the winged, exotic beauty before her could very likely fly so mayhaps that solved that little dilemma. Either way, she was enraptured and had many questions.

Before they could be asked though, the bird-woman had a similar amount of questions for her, yet before she could even answer those, the goings-on near the center of the room stopped both animalistic women in their tracks. The man being questioned did indeed seem suspicious, but she couldn't help but wonder what spurred the formerly human woman into behaving this way, what with her earlier displays of prejudice. The onlooking leopardess couldn't really wrap her head around the scene, and thus Ishnai simply decided to try and let it go once she realized that the situation had more or less passed. Once she realized that everyone was winding down for the evening, Ishnai told Aellai that it might be best to continue thier conversation in the morning, and bid he3r goodnight with a bow. She seemed to be looking forward to it, and she certainly was, at that.

It was not long before, trying to shut out the chaos, confusion and revelations this had had brought her from her mind, Ishnai had begun to settle down for the night. She sat down on the side of the first empty cot she could find, ensuring her tail was more or less out the way before lying down on her side and curling much much like a lesser feline would, hand-paws naturally curling in front of her chest, her elbows bent to draw her arms inward comfortably. Her knees were similarly bent so that her legs were snugly drawn in. She found herself simply sleeping in the tunic she had been givin, as seemed logical. After lying there for quite some time, at least an hour or two, her mind racing, Ishnai fell asleep, her heavy eyelids closing and her body giving way to sleep due to the many stessors and sensory assaults she had been faced with today, not to mention her mind being blown.

She found herself dreaming; about Vis, about Ki'tavi, and about Aellei. Three different dreams in one night, all vague. The one revolving around Vis was her simply fighting along side him, adn then seeing him again after she died, a dream she'd actually had before, but in her cat form. This time, she was flying alongside Vis in the skies, fighting another winged beast, and found herself plummeting to the ground, only to open her eyes and see Vis' face among a lush, paradise-like landscape. The dream about Ki'tavi was the most vague, but it made her blush just thinking about what she did remember, and feeling as if she should track the tomcat down this morning whenver she got a chance. The dream of Aellei was the most peaceful. She was simply flying alongside the birdwoman, she in her normal form and Ishnai in her draconic one, flying over the cliffs she called home. It brought a bit of a smile to her face.

Shaking the lingering bitof these dreams from her mind, Ishnai woke to the sound of Zepher, stretching her arms upwards and arching her back at an angle many other creatures might see as freakish, and sleepily climbing out of bed, yawning like all felines seemed to with her tongue coming out slightly and curling upwards in the process.Once shewas awake enough to stand, she did so, the smell of breakfast enticing her keen nose. She kept an eager lookout for Vis, Ki'tavi and Eallei respectively, also looking around for anyone else she felt she could have a word or two with.
In the process, she stumbled across the man from last night she wasstill unsure as to why he was here. After Darrene's display the night before though, Ushnai felt it rogn to straight up ask him. So, she simply bid him hello. "Greetings, I am Ishnai. I am unsure what you are doing here, but know that I mean you no harm. Breakfast is waiting, I suggest you go get some." Wtih that, she'd leave the man to his buisiness for now, just trying to be friendly to a clearly lost-looking man. If he came to her for any reason later, she'd surely hear him out.

It seemed the fight was not destined to be.

After getting Ishani's approval he had just been making his way towards the Orc when the light's out order was given, causing his ears to flatten on his head. So now they were being treated like children with a fucking curfew?! That was irritating to say the absolute least. Then again, if he'd actually fought the Orc, he wouldn't have been able to keep listening in on the various conversations that were going on around him. Unlike himself, who deliberately kept his voice down when discussing private matters, everyone here seemed quite content at speaking openly about, well everything.

As a result, he knew more about Katrina from Veth's interrogation, and new a bit about their new visitor. Indeed, his years of practice as an information gatherer were coming quite in handy, so long as people kept speaking so candidly about everything.

For now though, it was time for his own rest. So he took to the cot where he had set out his gear and lay down. As a mercenary, he was often tasked with sleeping in less than desirable conditions. Thanks to such upbringing, he was able to fall asleep in seconds, with his right eye slightly open to keep watch as he slept. After all, other than the elf woman to his immediate right he wasn't entirely sure who all he could put any trust in.

--------------------

When morning came at last, Ki'Tavi was awake to greet it. The biggest disappointment to this room was the simple fact the windows were too high up for him to watch the sunrise. So, instead, he had contented himself with morning stretches before pulling his extra apparel on.

About midway through a backbend Zeph poked his head in, announcing the morning meal as prepared and ready for consumption, at the same time, he warned of Eshne's ravenous appetite potentially costing them a helping of pork if haste was not made. Thus, he shifted his weight, balancing on his hands as his feet lifted off the ground to a handstand before his hips arched and he shot from his hands to his feet in one quick movement. It was about then that he surveyed Veth's little... encounter with the Triton in the basin... Eventually that fool would need to be evicted otherwise the smell in here would.... Well, it would remind him of home after a battle...

He watched as Darrene immediately made for the exit, followed in short order by some of the others. He walked back to his cot, strapping on his belts last of all. On his lower back, two heftier fighting daggers were sheathed. It was odd, for someone his size to use daggers instead of a sword of some kind. Really it seemed rather jarring. Kit, however, didn't seem to notice the issue as he made his way out.

Helping himself to some toast and extra bacon since he wasn't quite sure if he'd get a chance at seconds otherwise. Noticing a familiar white haired figure first, he made his way over to sit near her.

"You looked like you weren't exactly having a fun time this morning" He remarked casually, his tail swishing just a little as he munched on his toast and sipped a bit of coffee he'd acquired on his way over. "Sooner or later we're going to have to inform Civis that the basin isn't his personal fishbowl...." Ki'Tavi chuckled to himself. Even though he hadn't spoken directly to the Triton yet, he had managed to catch his name from the conversations the day before.

"So did you get enough sleep? Looked to me like you were fighting the sandman pretty hard before he knocked you out." Kit remarked with a playful grin on his lips as he chewed on a particularly thick strip of bacon. If he seemed more at ease around her today, it was simply because he was. After their chat the day before, he felt a bit more at ease around her than the others, a little less guarded. That's not to say he was without his mask, but given both of them were wearing one, it seemed almost unnecessary to fully maintain appearances.

He shuffled after Delta and Lorella out of the frozen land and back to the groups of people, well, dragons now. They hadn't been in the room for but a few moments before everyone started transforming back to their original form. Yet for Civis, everything seemed to be a bit lower than they were when he was in the room previously. Wait a second, had he grown taller? And what was up with the sudden muscle growth? It appeared that he wasn't the only one either, as it appeared Lorella went through a much more drastic change than he had. Not that he was looking at her naked form or anything...

Soon, clothing was being passed out and in his surprise, Civis hadn't really noticed that he was also naked. Not that he cared much, he had no shame. Sliding the clothing on his form, it felt a little heavier than what he was used to, but he'd get over it. Eventually. Sitting down at the cot that his armor had been, he placed his head in his hands and sighed before getting up again and placed his armor near the basin that he now claimed as his own. There he sat on the rim, thinking about what his life would be like here and how he'd get along with all the new and strange people he'd met today.

A commotion was going on in the center of the room, but he hardly cared at the moment. He still had to come to terms with the thought of never returning home. But his sudden growth in both height and muscle helped smooth it over some. It was then the lights out order came from Delta and he happily obliged. After a day like this, he needed a good nights sleep. Plunging back into the basin, it didn't take long for him to fall asleep. Even with all these sudden revelations today, the motion of he water lulled him to sleep almost instantly.

Civis burst from the water standing at attention like had had done during his times in the military at Darrene's call. He looked down at himself wondering what he was doing. He left it a few years ago, yet this seemed so similar that he guessed he did it subconsciously. His feet making wet slapping sounds through the room as he sloshed water around with every step. His clothes awkwardly clung to his new form. "I guess surface clothes weren't made for the water." he mused. He was curious to what this bacon was, however, and why everyone was clamoring to get it.

He made his way through the halls and into the commons where all the food was. Shit, Darrene was in full armor and he had neglected to attempt to wear his. He doubted it would fit with his new size anyways. He'd have to get adjusted somehow. Perhaps one of the Wyrmlords was an avid smithy. He'd have to worry about that later as there was new and interesting foods to be had. He grabbed himself a plate and piled it high with different breads, eggs, and most importantly bacon. Sitting across from the catman and the elf, he began to chow down. Genuinely enjoying the nice change of pace from just fish to all this variety.

"You surface folk sure know how to make food. Down where I come from, all we have a different fish. Most of which taste the same." He said to the two with a mouthful of food. "What types of training do you think we'll be doing today? I doubt it'll be basic combat training since most of us here seem to be able to handle themselves in battle." He gestured around the room with a piece of toast. The only ones that seemed less capable were the winged one and the raven haired one, wherever she was.

Veth enjoyed the food, since usually she had to pay for her meals. She practically lived in inns due to frequently traveling. Not to mention it was better than what most of those places served. There was even one place she stayed at that was so awful she couldn't even identify was it was that they were serving under the guise of 'food.' She was pulled from her memories when Hazel entered offering a cheerful greeting. Veth just glanced at the girl and chewed her food since it would have been rude to talk while she was still had food in her mouth.

Eventually, and not surprising to Veth as this seemed to be a trend, Kit made his way over to where she was, also with his own plate of food. He commented about what she believed was her being greeted by the one Kit called Civis, resting in the basin they were all supposed to share. He had a point though, that the aquatic male needed to be removed and reminded that it was not his personal sleeping space. Honestly, she really wished to have her own quarters rather than having to sleep in a shared space. The orc snored, and loudly at that.

When he mentioned that he had basically been watching her sleep, her eyes narrowed at him. "Not everyone had the luxury of resting on their journey here, and I would say I did not sleep well, though it matters not." She snatched a slice of bacon from Kit's plate, "Payment for watching me sleep, next time I will take all the bacon should it happen again." She was completely serious, though there was probably no way she could eat that much food. "And give it to Eshe, or you could perhaps do so yourself and maybe get on her good side... if she has one."

Their conversation was interrupted the the very triton who had tainted the basin water."You're eating cooked triton," she said in a deadpan voice, no humor present. She wanted a bit of revenge against him for sleeping there, without consideration to others. "Just because we may be able to fight as we are now, that may not be the case for our dragon forms. I had wings, yet I could not fly. If I must speculate on what shall happen today, it would be dealing with that matter.," she answered Civis' question about what type of training they may expect.

The tension was cut short. Eshne emerged from the hall and her voice was as good as any nanny's. Her voice commanded and did not ask. Even Aellai bowed her head, feeling guilty despite her lack of involvement. She cast furtive glances at the other wyrmchildren. “Lights out in ten minutes. Don’t make me come back in here.” Aellai nodded at Eshne's warning. She watched Katrina follow the goddess out before she loped back over to her cot, talons clicking quietly against the floor. She climbed onto the bed and pulled the blanket into a makeshift nest. Once she felt it was suitable enough she nestled deep and pulls in wings in to blanket her more vulnerable skin. It was there in the comfort of familiar actions that she drifted to sleep.

Voices called to her from the darkness. Her eyelashes fluttered in the dim light. The voice was familiar, masculine, and altogether too cheerful for the time of day. She fully opened her eyes, squinting irritably around her looking for her aggressor. Zephyr ducked out of the room and she scowled at the door that closed behind him. What need did they have to be up so early? Was there some big hunt, a festival, some sort of mission to do? She doubted any of these otherkin performed the same traditions as her people so that left her with nothing. She used her hands to straighten wayward feathers and brush them down, re-hooking her barb's hooklets. Once she finished preening she stepped from the bed and headed for the dining hall.

Veth ate irritably at one table, joined by Kit and the sea-man. Aellai spotted the human man and Ishnai on another side. Darrene sat by herself chowing away. Hazel also sat by herself. Aellai peered at the bigger group curious about meeting new people but based on the mood of that table, she felt she'd rather avoid it. Instead she moved to the display of food and gathered a bit of everything and approached Ishnai after throwing a shy wave to Caris. "Morning." She chirped, wakefulness and friendlier faces bringing back her usual energy. "How did you sleep?" She inquired. She took a seat and picked at the bacon. It was most similar to the harpyiai's roasted boar.

Lorella was furious when Delta intervened, fuming on the inside as steam escaped from her nose. Know nothing of the situation? For the Wyrmlords and Nox to decide only? Had Delta lost her mind? Had she forgotten why they, the wyrmchildes, were called? It was because apparently Nox and the other all powerful wyrmlords couldn’t face whatever threat Lucian was posing to the world. Yet the second any of them wanted to do something, here the wyrmlords came running in anger telling them that wasn’t proper.

They, the gods, had demanded their help, but then didn’t want them to help? Fuck that. At some point, the gods were going to have get on the train and realize that if they wanted to get the group’s help, they’d have to start doing better than vague statements and going off on them like a parent scolds a child. The gods acted as if they didn’t need the group’s help, but the more Lorella was around them, the more she was becoming convinced the gods couldn’t lose this group. Oh, they could stand to lose one or two, but to lose the whole group would doom the world to whatever this “Lucian” was going to do.

Sleep came slowly for Lorella in her cot as she thought about a great many things. The lost of her self, Civis, Delta’s treatment towards her...to say Lorella was a little mad at her their “hosts” was an understatement. She loved the power of the dragon, and she greatly enjoyed the group she had met, but the flawed morality and personality of the gods was a large problem for Lorella, someone who had spent her life believing in the gods and their perfectness. Eventually, the sleep rolled over the triton as she drifted off to troubled dreams.

In the morning, Lorella woke drenched in sweat, her body’s adrenaline tense from the dreams. Heading to the commons, Lorella sat down by Darrene at the table, making sure to keep herself a fair distance away from Civis. It was probably obvious that she was avoiding the other triton, but Lorella didn’t care about appearances. The dreams in her sleep had been of Civis, wrathful and angry, enacting his vengeance upon her. She could still feel the tense in heart from when the dream Civis had brought his hammer down on her.

Lorella’s heart wasn’t really into things this morning after last night, and the dreams had her far too distracted to concentrate. Though she put some food on her plate, she hardly touched it save for some nibbles. Her chin rested on her hand as she looked downcast at the plate of food. A day full of training with the gods was not something she was looking forward to at all.

-RADFOR BORA'URUG-
half_orc___dungeons_and_dragons_by_wandererfromys-d5hsrbz.jpg

Radfor had just finished warming up when the door opened and someone he couldn't see said that the lights would be out soon. Radfor had not heard that phrase before, but judging from the others heading over to their cots, he assumed that it just meant to go to bed. Annoyance filled his mind; he was no child! He slept when he tired! But still, he was powerless to resist, for the ever present threat of a soul being stolen still lingered over his head. The least he could do was lay down on the cot and pretend to be asleep. He sat down on his cot and sighed, staring up at the ceiling for a moment before he realized something, lifting his head up a little to see that both cots to either side of him were empty. A slightly disappointed feeling crept into him; was he really that unapproachable? Sure, he was an Orc and Orcs can be scary looking, but...that doesn't mean they're gonna tear your arms out of your sockets or anything.

He sighed once again, laying his head back down and staring up at the ceiling. Maybe he had just been away from people for a little longer than he thought; he never had this much trouble trying to make a friend. It was most likely just the situation they were in; it wasn't exactly prime time to start asking people their life stories. And yet, Radfor could see that almost everyone had a buddy to speak to, and deep down, he envied those that could make a friend so easily. He shook his head, letting out a deep breath as he concentrated on the stone ceiling above him. Slowly, fatigue filled his body, and he drifted off into a slumber, the voices of the others getting farther and farther away as his vision faded to black....

Then he was flying, hundreds of feet off the ground over a large mountainous terrain. He looked to his arms and realized that he wasn't an Orc, but a dragon! The same one he had turned into when he fell into that pit of mud. He was flying in the air as fast as he could go, his jade colored wings beating through the sky, as a feeling of unease an worry overtook Radfor. But why was he feeling this way? It was almost as if...something was coming....

And sure enough, a loud, ear-splitting roar was heard. He craned his neck to look behind him and grew terrified at the sight. A massive Dragon, black as the night sky, was chasing after him with murder in its eyes. That was it! He was running from that! He had to get away, or else...or else his...
His mind grew more and more panicky as the black Dragon grew closer and closer, Radfor's wings beating at a rate he was sure would make them fall off. But alas, his efforts were in vain; no matter how hard he flapped, the black Dragon got closer and closer, until it grabbed Radfor's tail and flung him downward.

Radfor hit the ground hard, smashing through rock, tree, and anything else in his path. He skidded through the earth for a good minute or two, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. The black Dragon landed in front of him and placed it's talons on Radfor's neck, who was too dazed from the fall to move. A bright white light began to shine from Radfor's body, and he began to feel the strangest sensation he had ever felt run through him. The black Dragon laughed triumphantly, staring down at Radfor through malevolent eyes.
"YOUR SOUL IS MINE!"
It's maw shot forward towards Radfor's exposed throat and-

Radfor shot up with a gasp, covered in a cold sweat. He began to breathe heavily, looking around the dark room to the unmoving and sometimes snoring figures on the other cots. He sighed as he ran a hand across his forehead, wiping away the sweat that had been there. What in the world happened? A nightmare? It seemed worse than actual reality. He moved his legs out from under his blanket and sat on his cot, putting his head in his hands. That was indeed a bad omen; no dream he had ever had was as vivid as the nightmare he just experienced. It was almost like he was watching a memory play in his head, like he had already experienced this....

With one more sigh, he stood up in the near pitch black room. He wasn't going to get any more sleep, not after that. He might as well get his routine in now rather than later. He got down on the ground and began to do his morning reps; fifty push-ups, fifty sit-ups. He had done these every morning since he was sixteen, and he had to keep doing them if he wanted to maintain the body he had now. Luckily, by the time he finished, one of the Dragon-people stuck their head through the door and told them breakfast was ready. Radfor finally realized that he hadn't eaten anything but a piece of jerky all day yesterday, and he was definitely feeling it now. Not waiting for the others to get up, Radfor quickly made his way out of the door and towards the dining hall, which was nearby. Just like yesterday, it was filled with food, and Radfor took a seat at the end and began piling on whatever was closest to him; pork, bread, potatoes....but, like he always did, he set a napkin in his shirt to prevent any stains and took his knife and fork and began to cut up his breakfast and eat it at a mild-mannered, leisurely pace.

Cranea was about to join the other two women before she and everyone else was told to head to bed. She was almost surprised at the fact they had some curfew but upon further thinking , Cranea and the others where not here just to eat and stay up for how long we want to do nothing , we where brought here for a purpose after all. Cranea looked around as everyone stopped what they where doing and got ready to slumber.

She bid everyone else goodnight and began to un-braid her long hair near the soft candlelight as she hummed to herself , her interlaced hair dropping to her skin almost passing her calf's as she stretched and went to sleep . A whole day full of what seemed like fantasy intermingled with meeting her friends of fate , was more exhausting than one would think , as Cranea put her Long rabbit ears over her eyes as a makeshift sleeping mask before quickly falling asleep.

Cranea barely heard Zephyr waking everyone up as her ears where folded , slowly waking up as she stretched her body and legs , her ears perking up and twisting left and right to hear the commotion of others. Brushing her hair with her long clawed fingers she side and stood up making her way to the dining hall , not being fully awake Cranea walked as if she was a type of zombie or undead, that was until she smelled food, and the glint in her eyes came back as she walked a bit quicker , sitting down , not even grabbing a plate , just piling on vegetables on top of one another but taking only what she needed. and grabbing grilled fish and the like and began to eat with her hands , at least eating with her mouth closed. She couldn't deny that the food was delicious. But obviously living in a tribe , table manners where not much of a priority.

Everyone was left to eat for awhile, the Wyrmlords mingling with the rest until Vis finally stood, getting everyone’s attention. “Everyone, if you could quiet down for a moment…” Trailing off he allowed them to do so, nodding in approval before continuing to speak. “Today is the first day of your training. While some of you might scoff at the idea, it is invaluable, as quite a few of you tend to be a bit… overconfident in your lackluster abilities. Along with that, you all now have magical talents that need to be honed to be of any use. So you will all be split up into two groups that will rotate to each day. The groups are as follow…”

“With Eshne to practice physical combat, it is Ki’Tavi, Veth, Hazel, Midas, Caris, and Aellai here in the commons. The rest of you will go with Delta to begin to learn the basics of magic in the library. Please get to your positions with haste, as the faster everyone arrives the more you will get done.”

With that, the were dismissed, the food and dishes being cleared away with a wave of Vis’ hand while Eshne moved into the empty space of the room, waiting for those in her group to gather around. “Alright! I know most of you think you can fight, but can you really? Come on, make me laugh. Who wants to have a go at me first?” She had a fierce grin upon her face, reptilian eyes flicking to each of the children around her.

The library was massive, it reaching heights that were most-likely magical as the stronghold’s ceilings weren’t that high. The shelves were beautifully carved, books ranging from thin volumes to books taller and wider than the wyrmlord herself. It was a rather dwarfing experience as she gestured for them to gather around her. “Yes you are going to be learning how to use magic.” Delta began. “But, that doesn’t mean you’re going to be able to master it within a few hours, regardless of this, we need some ground rules. First, you are not to attempt to use any sort of magical ability unless I am present and we are purposely doing so. Second, you are to follow my instructions as precisely as possible. Any attempts to show off or over do it will be met with punishment. Does everyone understand this?” Her own eyes bored into the Wyrmchildren, waiting for a response.

While all this was occurring, Katrina was still lying in bed. Vis had entered her room, moving to shake her shoulder gently. “Katrina…” Slowly the woman would wake, carefully sitting up with a groan. “I know Nox wants you tutored privately, that isn’t going to be of much help. Come, you can get something to eat and join Eshne.”

Soon Kat would be slipping into the commons as Eshne was trying to get someone to test themselves against her. Silently she moved towards the back of the group, knowing she was out of place here having no combat experience.

Currently: Fighting a goddess
Prediction: Loosing big time

Hazel ate her breakfast happily as she listened to the talk around her in the commons. It was the second day of this whole ordeal with gods and dragons and it seemed that the group here was a bit split in their opinions on the training to be done. As her food disappeared completely from her plate bite by bite her attention shifted from trying to figure out who made the food to compliment and thank them to Vi explaining the day's plans. Her expression perked up at the sound of her name and excitement ran through her body at the anticipation of learning how to fight.

As the others in her group gathered around the dancer listened intently to the fiery goddess. With out hesitation Hazel jumped forward "I'll take you on! Hand to hand right? I would hate to have my swords shattered by a God while sparring with blades." She chuckled and removed her shoes, tossing them aside where they would hit Kit in the shins. "Oops haha. Sorry" The playful expression turned to a wicked and excited grin as her face turned back to Eshne."Guess I'll have to make the first move."

With that said Hazel moved gracefully towards the Goddess. She would try to fake the goddess out by feigning a direct punch to her face only to quickly twirl around and behind Eshne in one fluid motion. The Dancer would jab her elbow into her ancestor's side and quickly side step away from her. Without loosing time Hazel would try to twirl out and use the movement of this twirl to add some force as she would attempt to kick Eshne. To anyone watching it would hopefully look like, well, a dance more than a fight. Her limbs acted quickly and for this fight her blows would rely on speed and surprise, knowing strength would not do well against a dragon god.

Hazel was not professionally taught but her father knew his stuff and her brothers never held back when they practiced. She was not stupid however, she wasn't going to win but she would learn what she needed to work on. So maybe one day, it would hurt less when fighting a goddamn god.

The mention of magic did bring a certain glimmer to Darrene's eyes. Her faith did speak of great miracles and acts of virtue made possible by godly interference, yet magic in itself was not a concept she had ever dared to entertain. The world she had lived in was one of physical laws. Of craftsmanship, blacksmiths, scholars, warriors and of rules of nature that were as firm and immovable as the stone walls encircling the human cities.

Magic was the stuff of children's tales. Stories of magicians, wizards and witches that would have to give in to reason once adulthood required a mind devoid of foolish notions of higher powers other than the almighty pantheon of gods.
But one could never fully extinguish the childish wonder one would feel coming face to face with actual magic.
And Darrene could not deny that in her glorious rebirth in flames she had felt a spark of magic make its home inside her heart, untapped power just waiting to be unleashed like a wildfire.

Rising from her seat, Darrene would straighten her scale-mail coat, propping up the brim of her collar as she followed Delta and the other Wyrmchildren she would be training alongside with.
Her entire life she had been a warrior of the faith, her skill with Polearms and the sword having proven to be useful in battling the foes she faced as a guardian of her people.
And yet she knew it would not suffice for what awaited them in their trials to come.

Entering the vast library, unlike any human architecture she had ever seen, matching the grand cathedrals of her faith -no- even surpassing them in sheer size, Darrene couldn't help herself but let her amber eyes wander around the intricate bookshelves and twisting archways that would fill her with awe.
Delta's stern voice brought her back into the realms of reality, as the human's gaze fell on the Wyrmlord.

Her words carried wisdom, yet Darrene did not know how they would even be able to control the magic that had remade them into dragons.
It seemed like no mortal could ever hope to bend the rules of nature in order to bring forth a power that could only be described as arcane. Magic.

Glaring at her gloved hand, Darrene would tighten it into a fist, feeling the same flame surge inside her heart that she had felt when having been reborn among flame itself.
A warm, wild fire that burned inside her chest and beckoned her to release it.
But she was not some hot headed youngster, she had spent years honing her body and spirit to better serve her gods, she knew discipline and she would not tap into powers she had no idea how to control without proper training.

"Understood." Not a single hint of doubt in Darrene's voice as she crossed her arms in front of her chest, raising an eyebrow that had been nothing but a scarred patch of flesh the day before.
"How will we begin?"

Midas gave a grumble, looking over the goddess as she challenges them. Right, he couldnt win. None of them could. There was no point in fighting her. He shook his head, taking a bite of bread he held onto.

He was greatful they were actually getting trained. He could fight, but he used some rather underhanded tactics to get by. Maybe some actual training will give him an edge in the future.

He watched as Hazel stepped up, and could only stare as she attacked. Yeah...if she cant win, theres not a chance he can. He watched, looking for something. He fights drunks and abusers, not gods. This was something else entirly, and he was scared. What was he saying?! He was always scared...

As Hazel took up her challenge, she gave a smile, watching the girl kick off her shoes and begin to try and strike. Eshne effortlessly dodged each of her blows, shaking her head as she did so. “Come on, we aren’t dancing!” She shouted. “Spend too much time trying to look pretty and you’ll have a blade shoved up your ass faster than you can pirouette!” With that she would’ve taken hold of the woman’s leg as she went in for a kick, tugging her off balance with ease and stepping back as she tumbled to the floor. It being clear she wasn’t trying to harm them.

Katrina watched as the fight took place. She had seen them spar before, but she had been forbid from learning anything relating to combat… up until now at least. It appeared rather difficult, Kat unable to keep her face twisting to portray the concern she felt. Hopefully Eshne hadn’t noticed her slip into the room...

-RADFOR BORA'URUG-
half_orc___dungeons_and_dragons_by_wandererfromys-d5hsrbz.jpg
Radfor couldn't exactly remember when he had a meal this large as he sat at the table, cutting up his meat and chowing down with a piece of boiled potato. The only times he was able to eat large meals when he was traveling was when he managed to snag some larger game, and he could afford to have a larger meal before drying the rest for travel. Here though, it seemed as if this amount of food was normal, which made him wonder just where they got it from. Perhaps they had an indoor garden of some sort? It wouldn't surprise him at all given the place they were in. Or maybe what they were eating wasn't food at all! But as he poured himself a goblet of cider and let the cool, spiced liquid run down his throat, he couldn't really believe that. The taste and texture was all too real, and if it was, then he had no real reason to worry. Or, at least that's what he hoped.

Eventually, after Radfor had consumed enough to last likely the whole day for the average person, his supposed ancestor Vis stood up and asked for everyone's attention. After announcing that today was the first day of training, he divided all of the guests into two groups; one for combat training, and one for magic. Radfor, of course, hoped he was in combat training; He had no experience whatsoever in the realm of magicks, and besides, he had heard it required a large amount of reading. Radfor didn't dislike reading, but if they were forced to scan musty old tomes all day, then eventually he too would grow tired of them. And just like Radfor's luck, he was indeed put into the magic group. With a small sigh, he wiped his mouth with his bib and stood, looking around for Delta, the person Vis had mentioned that the magic group was supposed to follow. Radfor looked around and saw a woman he had not seen before walk towards the hall with some of the others. He assumed this dark skinned woman was the Delta Vis mentioned, and so he quickly made his way over to the group and fell in behind the lot of them.

Delta led them to a massive library with shelves so high Radfor wasn't even sure how they were supposed to get the books at the top. It was ornately designed as well, rivaling the structure of the actual fortress itself. He had to wonder just how many rooms like this the fortress hid within its walls. Most likely too many for Radfor to anticipate. Delta stopped them in the middle of the room and explained to them the 'rules' of what they were going to do, which got Radfor a little nervous. Delta was very serious about this; was what they were about to do that dangerous? Worry began to fill Radfor as he have Delta an unsure look. However, one of the smaller human females stepped forward, apparently raring to go, and asked Delta how they were to get started. He had to give credit where it was due; she certainly showed no signs of fear. Radfor sighed, obviously nervous as to Delta's response as he said a short prayer to the Divines just in case.
"Gods preserve us..."

Veth's meal and conversation was interrupted when Vis entered the common room where they were all gathered. She stopped eating when he began to speak, her draconian eyes sliding over to where he stood. So, they were going to be training today. He mentioned that they now had magical talents that they needed to learn and that they were to be split up into two groups; one for combat, the other for magic. Veth was grouped with those focusing on combat today, though she was mildly apprehensive about having Eshne be the one in charge of their group, but she didn't openly protest. Besides, she heard about Kit slapping the goddess' ass and wondered how he was going to survive training with her after such an act.

She got up she waited as the food and dishes were removed from the room they were to be training in, moving to join the group she was with today silently and emotionless. The first thing Eshne did was issue a challenge to them, to come up and try to fight against her. Eshne was pleased, or at least amused, by the thought of being in a fight. Hazel eagerly volunteered, taking off her shoes and tossing them to the side. Veth crossed her arms over her chest to observe Eshne's reaction to Hazel's attack. Hazel had too many useless movements, twirling about and leaving herself open. Even Eshne called her out on this futile effort.

"Are you going next?" she asked Kit, moving to go stand next to him. "None of us are going to win against a goddess, but it would be amusing to see you try." She glanced over at Midas momentarily to see how he would react to the idea of facing down Eshne, he didn't look eager. "Midas, just remember to breath. This is training, you are going to lose to learn to be better," she said in his direction.

Currently: accepting her loss like a big irl

Hazel hit nothing but the floor. She sat up, rubbing the back of her head. "Heh dully noted.” She smiled up at Eshne. “Anything else I should keep in mind before I let the next poor souls take a shot at you?” She didn’t let her loss get to her. The point if this was to get better and now she knew where she was starting off at.

The woman stood up. The comment about pirouettes did rub her the wrong way. She wasn’t taught ballet, but not everyone would know the difference, it would be useless to get mad over a small thing like that. Brushing it aside Hazel waited to see if there would be anything Eshne would tell her to keep in mind and work on. After that she would step back into the line and retrieve her shoes.

Ishnai worked at piling her plate rather high indeed with bacon (before Eshne at it all, of course), sausage, and every other thing that smelled good to her, no matter how unfamiliar-looking. In the end, she had a mountainous plateful of protein in front of her that rivaled the venerable feasts her tribe held in celebration of any prosperous time they had. setting the venerable breakfast down next tp Aellai and Caris, she nodded to the former in greeting. "Good dawn to you," she said, by the tradition of her clan, turning and meeting her eyes respectively. "Quite well. Sleeping in a new environment every now and then is a very frequent occurrence for my people, as we constantly travel. I have grown used to such things. That, and I feel comfortable knowing that Vis and the other Gods are watching over us so closely. Yourself?" After exchanging a few more words with Aellai, and perhaps with Caris as well, Ishnai dug into her mountain fo meat, savoring every bit. If she had had any doubt in her mind beforehand that this food was prepared by the creators of the universe themselves, it would be utterly gone now.

Just as she was settling into her conversation with the other beings, her food gone in mere minutes as she relized just how hungry she had been, Vis' voice brought him her rapt attention in an instant, as she felt he deserved. As he listed off the names of those who would be training in the commons with Esha, she was surprised not to hear her name called. Also, all of those she had bonded with to a degree here thus far were in this group, which made her feel slightly sad for a moment, before an oh-so-captivating word was mentioned.

Magic.

Hearing it made her eyes go wide. She had heard stories of the magic Dragons possessed, of course, passed down by her elders over generations spanning many millennia. To think that she would now be starting to learn some of that herself? It was astounding to even think about. She stood, bidding a silent, smiling wave of farewell to her breakfast company before, after ensuring she listened carefully to all instructions, bid Aellai a "good luck, feathered friend" before heading into the library, following in the wake of the others who were following Delta.

Reaching the room, itself, Ishnai couldn't help but look up... and up... and up. Did this place reach the heavens themselves?! Surely, this was magic in itself. This amazing sight setting the tone, her posture then became rigid as if she were being given orders by a Clan Elder, Ishnai nodding along attentively. Echoing "understood" nearly in sync with Darrene, Also stepping forward towards the Wyrmlord. Darrene's sudden willingness to proceed with her training was surprising to Ishnai, but brought to light that mayhaps the woman was a bit more open minded than at first she seemed to be. Maybe Ishnai would do well to approach her at a later time, try to learn a bit of her life, what made her who she was. For now though, it was time to focus.

At Radfor's conccerned words and prayer, Ishnai then found herself turning towards him, a stern yet slightly sympathetic look in her eye. She whispered, "You are in the presence of a god, show her some respect," she hissed, nodding towards Delta. "She will not allow us to be harmed, I am sure of it." With that, she turned back, ready to begin her training. She had seldom felt so ready for anything prior, in fact.

It seemed Kit was to be doing combat training today. Honestly, he was a bit disappointed. He knew combat well. Then again, he'd been training as a mercenary since he was a kitten. For him, combat training was a daily ritual, something that was as commonplace in his daily routine as eating or sleeping. Even still, he wasn't altogether inclined to face off against Eshne.

In the Phantom Legion, there were many who had been warriors far longer than Ki'Tavi, and several of them could easily defeat Kit in single combat no matter how hard he fought. With that in mind, he could only imagine the gap in skill between himself and the actual Goddess of War. Then again, it was funny to think about, given he hadn't put much stock in anything like gods before now. With what he'd seen though, it was harder to deny.

His eyes narrowed, though, when the particularly energetic girl tossed her boots at him. He swept them aside with his foot, watching as she basically made a fool of herself. Opening with a feint was foolish in and of itself. It accomplished nothing but gave your opponent an opportunity to react and counter. Her constant spinning, too, did little to add force to her attacks. If she'd just coil up a bit more, bend a bit more, flexed a bit more, she could add so much power to her attacks.

Less spinning, more attacking. It seemed Eshne saw it too. A style that was too much flash and not enough substance would never hold against a trained opponent.

"Are you going next?"

Kit's ears turned towards Veth, followed soon after by his eyes when it was obvious the fight was over. His tail swished behind him as he considered it.

"None of us are going to win against a goddess, but it would be amusing to see you try."

"Yeah. There's no beating a Goddess on her own territory. Even still... there's that damn curiosity of mine... I want to know just how big that gap is."
he mused, his fiery eyes focusing on Eshne. "Eh... Fuck it.... If I don't see how big the gap is I won't be able to sleep tonight" He chuckled to himself as he took off his sleeve-top and set it down. He cast a glance and a playful grin at Veth. "Let's see if I can land one solid on her, eh?"

With his tail swishing behind him, he strode towards Eshne, cracking his neck with a quick motion as he approached, though his eyes never left the target. It almost made sense to him, in a way that he'd have descended from Eshne. He was a mercenary, meaning war was at the center of his life. Now he was getting the opportunity to see how he compared...

He gave a nod of his head to her, his arms still at his sides. For a moment, all was still. Then, without warning, he shot forward. Planting his left foot in front of him, he immediately threw a left jab. Without wasting any time, he turned on that planted foot, coiling up like a spring that suddenly released as he spun, his right foot snapping out straight for the gut as he pushed off with his left to keep the gap from opening.

His body lowered when he landed, his right hand swinging like a hammer to attack the inside of her leg. It would almost seem a random attack, but in truth it was a deliberate attempt to target one of the weak points in the leg, just above the knee. Struck properly, the leg would effectively go out. Without slowing down, his left fist was thrown in a cross to the body as he shuffle-stepped forward. In that brief moment, his foot shot forward to try and catch behind hers, trying to drag it back as his right hand shot forward in an open-palm strike designed to finish the trip.

As his foot finished the slide back, he used that momentum to coil himself like a spring. Then, all at once he unloaded, planting his left hand on the ground to launch his legs up. There, in one fluid motion, his body moved much as a whip, his leg snapping down towards her head from above as he twisted on that one hand, using the momentum from the kick to land back on his feet. Unlike a normal kick, this particular move put all of his body behind the kick, making it incredibly devastating if it could land.

Against the Goddess of War, though, that was most definitely a BIG 'IF'....

Midas sighed as the god seemed to avoid Hazel with almost a sixth sense, as if she saw the whole fight before it occured. For all they knew, she had. He ran a hand through his hair, and sighed.

The elf's words took a moment to click for him, he being to focused on the attempt. He only shook his head at her comment"I appriciate it, but I wont be fighting. This is just to show we know nothing compared to her. A reason we should listen. Im a bum who used to fight off drunks and petty thieves. I know where I stand." he waved her off wih a smile He wasnt going to fight her. He would be on the floor before the first swing. "Thanks for the advice though. Really"

Seeing Kit step up, midas quickly took afew steps back."Cat, if I lose another set of clothes because of you, Ill turn your pelt into a new cloak. Please respect the woman. Cranea had finished eating when she heard Vis enter the dining hall asking for everyone attention. She stood up grabbing a carrot and looked at Vis ready to hear what he was about to say

She and the others where separated with Delta to learn about magic. Cranea couldn't help but scoff, Maybe it was just her but how could she possibly be able to teach everyone of all different elements there magic. or maybe she was thinking too deep on it , since magic isn't a thing that exist in the realm of the sea people or air dwellers or land lovers , and obviously Delta would know all of this right. Or maybe she was just teaching the basics before they got into more element orientated abilities. As Her and the others made it to the library she was thrown a back , shes never been in a library or have seen books of different sizes and lengths.

Cranea couldn't help but turn around and look at the shelves and all the books , how they where engraved in such beautiful design and never looked like they where mistreated.
Then she heard delta set some boundaries as cranes nodded , she would never flaunt such abilities in the first place. Cranea nodded , understanding the rules set aside for today lesson. Hopefully With this Cranea wouldn't unlock more of the power that was given to her and the others. All within time that is , and known the less she was excited to learn , even if it was something so mundane , at least she would be one step closer to understanding what she is and what it is meant to be a child of Vis.
