Flame’s grin grew more genuine at the skeleton’s appreciation for music. But after Skelly introduced himself, the giant fell through the wall he’d been leaning against. Flame couldn’t help but yelp and rush towards the now empty space, wings flaring. What in Light’s name happened to the wall for someone to just… go through it? Is that how he got here? What if he gets pulled through to somewhere dangerous if he touched it? Hesitant to check if the wall was still non-physical, he turned to Skelly.

Hey, if you don't mind the risk of losing your spear, could you poke the wall? Y’know, to check if… its still able to do whatever just happened?” he asked, his anxious fiddling with his headphone’s cord only increasing once he finished. What if ALL the walls were like this? Just randomly becoming fall throughable? Light he was gonna have to check every wall now wasn’t he? But it wouldn't matter! The wall was fine and then changed, he could fall through one without any warning!

Nyklas

Nyklas glanced up over his shoulder at the human, and raised an eyebrow quizzically, “Ongoing transformation spell?” He asked. “I don’t know what dragons you’ve been talking to, but there’s no transformation spell involved. It’s a physical change, and the only magic used is…compression, I guess you’d call it. It’s a lot of mass to squeeze into a small, human shape. As to where I'm from, I'm from Dublin, Ireland, originally, but most recently Halifax, Nova Scotia. Why do you ask - ah - I think I understand where you're going.”

Perhaps it was the mention of dragons, but the waxy smelling man suddenly shrieked even louder and, impossibly, squeezed himself into a tighter ball behind his briefcase, his words becoming garbled and unintelligible. The smell of his fear was so strong, Nyklas felt his mouth start salivating. “Ah, here, lad! I’m not going to hurt you. I’m no feral beast ramp – “

The small room suddenly filled with the reek of magic, and, as if the floor beneath the suited fellow turned liquid, he slipped through with an abrupt, high-pitched squeal and disappeared, leaving a corner of his briefcase trapped in the floor. Nyklas leapt to his feet, silvery white scales rippling briefly across his skin. “What the fff- “ He imagined the boy hanging from the ceiling below, desperately clinging to the briefcase handle.

Cautiously, he took a step, and slid a foot forward until it was next to the briefcase. He closed his eyes in anticipation and pushed against the floor with his booted foot. It creaked slightly, the damp, musty carpet giving a slight, unappetizing squelch, but remained solid.

“Fascinating…” he whispered as he opened his eyes and walked around the briefcase, testing the floor. “Shame, though. I would have like to know what he was.” He wrinkled his nose at the smell still hovering lightly in the air even though the spell had, evidently, run its course. “Did you feel what I smelled, magic human?” He then looked at the pig woman. “Did you smell that, miss?”

Tricia Bourque

Tricia turned at the sound of the voice, gasping softly. She wasn’t sure if she should answer or not. If she had been kidnapped, whoever this was could be her captor. She slung her guitar over her shoulder and wiped her hands on her pants. Of course, this could be someone genuinely in the same predicament as her.

“I can hear you too!” She called, deciding to take a change this was someone friendly. “I don’t know where we are, but this is the ugliest labyrinth in history. It's like whoever built this place was trying to give an edgy haunted vibe and gave up at abandoned, 1980s flop house.” For the first time, she wished she’d stayed in school to learn more than the most basic of basics in magic. If this was some creeper trying to lure her into a false sense of complacency, she’d fling everything she could at them. Rolling her shoulders, she followed the direction she heard the voice coming from, wincing at the sound the carpet made beneath her feet. It was almost as bad as the buzz and tink of the flickering lights, and that was awful.

“If you can’t follow the sound of my voice, stay put. I’ll come to you. No sense in getting lost trying to find one another. Just keep talking so I can find you.”

MIKA ABYASS
Mika_Front.png“Delivering a prophecy, how cute… And what do you mean, it’s not the Underworld…?” Mika glanced over at Charon with a deadpan, neutral expression. “I was literally in an old mansion just a moment ago. I’d need a whole planar gate and preparation to hop through another realm.”, she brushed off matter-of-factly.

She let out a sigh. This android’s words actually made sense. This location had a completely different atmosphere than the mansion and it would explain the presence of a celestial and the robotic being. This thing also did seem much more advanced than what she knew was possible to construct in the Underworld…

“Alright, alright, I’ll play along.”, she spoke after a few moments. She crossed her arms and turned away from Yophie. “I’m willing to explore and see what this place is about.” Now that the tension was down (at least slightly), Mika took a moment to give a proper look to her surroundings. Of course, the same ugly wallpaper and buzzing lights were the same as before but that alone intrigued her; this building seemed way too big, with the twists and turns being completely nonsensical. Taking a look around might reveal rooms, or at least something that made sense.

“Oh, right, I’m Mika.”, she introduced herself to the other two, trying to force a smile.

"And I was on a space ship traveling between multi-verses when I ended up here!" the soul eater cheerfully remarks in response to Mika's initial reaction to his announcements.

With both of the others having introduced themselves, Charon supposed he should respond in kind. "You can call me Hug Lord of Doom 3000!" With that bit of niceties out of the way, the android started to examining some of the nearby passages, trying to figure out which ones were more likely to take them somewhere interesting. Or safe. But he'd rather have interesting as just walking around would be boring. Having something to fight would be way better. Though, seeing as how this place was put together, he had to wonder if it would make a difference or not which way they went.

Skelly
Shawdios Shawdios

His eyes turned a searing yellow as the giant fell through the wall, but made no sound. He felt the presence of magic, but it soon vanished with the giant.

"''It was magic. He may come back, but I can check still." With that, he turned the blunt end of his spear to face the wall the giant fell though, approaching cautiously. When he reached the wall, he extended the spear's butt to it, only to make a slight tapping sound.
"Alas, it seems that the wall is solid again. I don't think that he was the one who did it, by the look on his face."

A strange smell, not resembling anything Truffle could identify, met her nose as Arlund fell through the floor, leaving behind his briefcase. Truffle wondered if magic was as real as the two seemed to treat it as. After all, this unidentified smell wasn't present in the show put on by the magician and rabbit. The rabbit she had talked to never said anything about other possible instances of magic, so perhaps it could be.
"I'm not sure what I'm smelling, but yes, I smell it too."

"Totally! It stinks in here too, like a musty smell." Agreed Fledge at the mention of how the labyrinth looked like a 1980s flop house, Giving a nervous laugh. "I'm going to stay put then," They answered, "I'm staying put then. My name is Fledge. What's yours?"

Flame watched anxiously as the blunt end of the spear tapped against the wall. The action relaxed him with the knowledge that the wall was safe.

The wall was solid, that’s good. Right? At least him and Skelly won’t risk falling into it like the giant had. He’d probably still have to check every other wall, but this one was safe.

Reaching out and placing his hand against the wall, Flame felt the wall’s solidity for himself. The texture of the wall reminded him of the smooth but gritty feel of a plaster ceiling. It was a pleasantly stimulating texture.

Yeah I doubt it wasn’t an accident...” he replied, words trailing off along with his gaze. The walls leading away from Skelly were the magnet. What about the other walls? Skelly said something about magic? Is it magic that causes the walls to—

Flame furrowed his brow. Skelly’s words from before the wall check finally registered. He turned back to the skeleton with his question, “Magic? How do you know?

NEIL BLUES
Neil_Front.pngNeil let out a curious hum as Nyklas explained how dragons got human forms. As he expected, he seemed to operate under different rules, despite coming from Earth. The conclusion to gather from this was pretty straight-forward to him but there was no time to go too deep in his thoughts, especially at the sight of the scared man… disappearing through the floor, much like how Neil got into these yellow hallways in the first place.

His eyes tingled at the detection of a strange aura, the magicborn’s brows scrunching in confusion. “The fuck…?” He carefully eyed Nyklas when the dragon took a step forward, most likely to test the tangibility of the wet carpet at their feet. “It’s… solid now…?” He sighed. “Sheesh, this is gettin’ weirder and weirder.”, he added, scratching the back of his head. “There was a strange magical aura. Like teleportation magic, but… er, more chaotic, if that makes sense.”, he tried to explain. “Less of a spell and more of a brief, random rip in reality or… something like that, I dunno.”

Neil pushed his glasses into his face, which he commonly did unconsciously whilst in deep thought. “Looks like we all crossed dimensions or something along those lines.”, he mumbled. “And if we four -er, three, got here, there probably are more people, for better or worse.”

His curiosity now properly piqued, he decided to slowly walk away; staying in one unknown place for too long wasn’t always good. They already lost one person and there was no use in crying over spilled milk. If anything, the most important thing to do would be to find something. Be it food, other people, or a dry floor.

"A magical rip in reality, yeah?" Nykolas nodded in agreement, "Like a rampageous apportation of some kind." He gave the briefcase a final prod with his booted toe and backed away a few steps before facing the human, listening intently and finding himself nodding once again in agreement. "Right. It's happened to me once before, but I didn't end up here. i ended up in a cage." His hand moved to touch the pocket watch tucked away in the pocket of his jeans.

He watched Neil walk away slowly and followed, his gaze moving thoughtfully from the human to the pig woman. "Which leads me to my next question. Well...questions, really. What are your names? I'd hate to keep referring to you as 'Magic Human' and 'Miss Pig'. Also, neither of you has a predilection for capturing and collecting exotic magical species, do you?"
