Fantasy Camp Haven

Tommy came over at the beck of the Head Counselor. He was carrying one of the younger campers on his back. "Yes sir?" He asked as he approached, hearing a loud argument, something to do with another camper disappearing, and something about penance. He guessed that a camper had run away in order to avoid being punished for something. "You wanted to see me?" @SilentSir

I gently removed Lilly from my back, and set her down next to Tommy. By the look on my face, and the argument that Marsh and I just had, they knew something was up. I just didn't know how to break it to them. I decided that being gentle wasn't going to help, and that they would find out the whole truth eventually. "Lilly, Tommy, Ashton's gone. After the fight and the lighting storm that he created by the lake, I chose to place him in a room that we have on the second floor of the Medical Pavilion. It's called the Penance Hall." I turned to Lilly. "I don't know how you got in there, or what you saw, but you must not tell anyone, do you understand? It's your fear, and yours alone." I turned to Tommy. "I placed Ashton in the room so that he could face his greatest fears, and be taught a lesson. However, the room has.....powers. It has the ability to read thoughts, and if it determines that you are a danger to yourself or others here at camp, it makes you disappear. I don't know where he went, or if he will ever come back, but he's gone. I'm sorry."

Tommy was taken aback at this news. "Sir," he said calmly, "I could gladly have gone my entire life without that piece of information. I did not know that boy, and I have no idea what you are talking about in terms of the lake, after the hall I went straight to my cabin to turn in for the night." He knelt down next to the girl, he didn't know her that well, but he did know a thing or two about scared girls. "So, you're Lilly right?" He asked sweetly as he placed his hands down on the ground. "Hold on just a second." He closed his eyes and tried to focus. A part of him, and it was not an insignificant part, was screaming at him to get out of here, that coming to the camp was a danger. That the head counselor had just admitted to him and a 10 year old girl who was scared out of her mind that he had, indirectly, killed a camper. But he was steadfast, he had always been afraid of other kids growing up, and had wished that someone had shown him just an ounce of kindness and comfort. If it helps make her feel better, and if it helps assuage the councilor's guilt, I can do this. He hadn't done this often, but he had done it enough to know what he was trying to do. Focusing on the soil he started to coax it. Calling out to find what he was looking for. It took a bit, but he felt it pushing through the soft earth. He pulled his hands back, from a dome over the soil into a circle around a small sprout of green. This had always been his favorite part. "Plants, make sounds, when they grow," he panted, "but, it is, normally, inaudible, because of how slowly, they grow." Sure enough there was a softly crackling sound as the little sprout twisted and grew, before blooming into a white lily. Tommy took his hands away, and leaned back, exhausted, sweat pouring from his brow. @SilentSir @Geozaki

Lilly looked up at Tim worriedly as he explained what had happened. She was relived that she'd been told not to tell anyone what she saw, the less people knew the better, for their sake. Lilly was also relieved to hear that the room had only been preying on her fears, so her father wasn't really here. However, there's a calm before every storm. And just as Lilly was starting to calm down a little,Tim's next sentence brought a storm so big that Lilly didn't have the ability to prepare herself for it. Tim was speaking to the camper that he'd called over 'Tommy', Lilly thought that was his name anyway. The whole time Tim had been speaking, his voice had a seriousness to it, but it suddenly seemed to become even more serious. Tim told Tommy that he'd put Ashton in the room that Lilly had ended up in herself in order to teach him a lesson. However the room had decided that he was dangerous, and so it had caused him to vanish from existence? Tim admitted he didn't know where Ashton was, or even if he'd ever return. Lilly closed her eyes, she hadn't know Ashton very well, in fact she'd never eve spoken to him, but she felt like she'd known him, just a little, and what Tim had basically just said was 'Ashton could be dead' "Ashton" Lilly mumbled, almost inaudibly. She opened her eyes, which were starting to well up, just as Tommy knelt down next to her. Lilly didn't answer his question, not because she didn't want to, more because she was still a little overwhelmed with the information that she'd just taken in. Lilly watched as Tommy placed his hand on the ground and after a short while of what seemed to be extreme concentration and hard work on Tommy's part, a small plant sprouted then continued to grow, making soft crackling sounds as it Twisted and grew. Lilly watched in amazement. It was so beautiful and rather hypnotic, watching the small flower grow.

Watching Tommy and Lilly interact was exactly what I had been hoping for, but not under these circumstances. I silently cursed Marsh for interrupting it. However, when I thought about it, maybe it was time for Marsh to know what was really going on here. Maybe it was time that he knew the truth about what the camp was here for. I left Lilly and Tommy to play together, and I followed Jason into the Medical Pavilion. I found him at his workstation. "Jason, I need to show you something. It's time you knew about the real Camp Haven. Follow me." I walked outside and turned in the direction of my cabin. Hopefully he would understand what we were trying to do here.

Hearing footsteps approach, I glanced up and was then surprised to see Richards approaching the front desk of the medical workstation. I silently closed the file that I had partially obscured from view. I noticed that the campers weren't with him and wondered where he left them. I narrowed my gaze as I waited for him to say something, and when he did, he started to say that he needed to show me something. "It's time you knew bout the real Camp Haven." Naturally, I was taken aback by this. What on earth did he mean by the real Camp Haven?

"Follow me."
Said more as a directive, than a request. To be honest, I didn't want to follow him. Something in my gut was telling me that this was not good. Especially since Ashton had vanished in Penance.

However, my curiosity got the better of me. Even though Eris had not showed up for duty, I decided it was best to follow the Head counselor, to see just what he was up to. The place he led me, was his own cabin. Silently I fell in behind him and kept up till reaching the outside patio.
