Fantasy Camp Haven

I shielded my eyes as he began to rise from the water. Something about this oddly relieved me - maybe his heart wouldn't stop. Or maybe it wouldn't have, to begin with? But... Why does he think we're lying to him? My thoughts went back to their 'orientation' and for a moment, I didn't blame him for his doubt.

"You're here for the same reason I chose to come here." The rain was relentless, and cold. Something warm was dripping down my neck, a contradiction to the weather situation that was occurring which made me pause a moment. Just blood. It's ok. "To learn to control your abilities." I thought about his confession - his gifts weren't natural. "No matter how you got them." His levitation above the water caused the edges to consume another two feet of the land that surrounded it. I took another step back, unsure of whether or not the water would still be dangerous. "I'm sure you want answers. It must be frustrating. But this is where you could find the answers you seek, and others like you. Like Bray?"

The Doctor was searching through every room of the medical center. But every time he opened a door, he came up emptied handed. By the time Jason came back to the nurses station, Eris had already taken off in search of the boy. Her coat was missing off the rack and that gave Jason the clue that she had gone off outside searching for him. This really wasn't good. For one the boy was drugged, and he shouldn't be exerting himself after Eris healed his broken ribs. Quick as he could Jason tore off his lab coat and tossed it in a nearby waste bin, before grabbing his coat off the rack and charged off through the doors.

"ASHTON!" Jason called out as he took off down the external stairs and headed past the campers cabins, about to approach the forest, when he saw Lilly and Richards coming back from what must have been some one on one training. The Head counselor was the last person that the Doctor wanted to see at this moment, but he couldn't cover up the fact that they had lost a patient. Running up to them, he skidded to a stop and then almost out of breath he asked them;

"Have either of you seen Ashton...or Eris?" Perhaps they had seen the nurse looking for Ashton in the woods. Jason looked between them, hoping one of them would have spotted the pair.

No its not okay. People promised me things in the past and all that happened was more test, but no one is like me. Maybe in the powers but, no one had to go through what I had too. As I said this I lowered form the air, and took all the lighting and conducted it into my body. The only person I trust here is Bray. I will try to trust you, but if you guys break that trust you will see what training with my untapped powers will cause you. I then landed on the ground and started to walk towards the doctor. "Oh by the way thanks for healing me." I said, as I walked towards the camp.

I watched in disbelief as Ashton lowered himself into the pond again. The wind had slowly begun to cease, and the rain along with it. No more lightning had appeared, to my relief. No it's not okay. He had said. He'd also mentioned broken promises. Funny. I didn't recall ever promising him anything, or telling him everything would be 'ok'. Hell, I didn't even know myself. Best not tell him that. The less sardonic side of me suggested, not wanting to be cooked via lightning storm. Now is not the time to try and make a point.

I was relieved that he seemed relatively unharmed, apart from his previously broken ribs. I felt his hatred as he walked past me. Oh by the way, thanks for healing me. His words echoed in my mind, and I set my teeth. I felt a warm moisture trickle down on my collar bone, and ran my fingers across it. My fingertips had followed the trail of blood up to my jawline.

I waited until there was distance between us before I turned and began to trek back in the direction I'd come, comforted by the fact that he was heading back in the direction of the camp. I kept silent, pursing my lips. Nothing that was in my mind as a response would have been conducive to the situation, or to the kid's anger. What did you do to get him to not trust you? I thought back to what little interaction we'd had. There had to have been some trust there for him to allow me to use my gift to aid in his healing. Especially if he was... Experimented on?

The ground, still damp from the small storm that he had generated threatened to trip me more than once. I'd managed to get turned around, as well, returning to the far edge of the pond after nearly ten minutes of walking. After starting from the beginning again and being careful to follow a straighter path, I was able to break from the tree line, seeing the comforting light of the cabins and the pavilion in the distance.

Between the wind and the angry tree branches, my hair had managed to partially remove itself from the bun. I felt it still hanging on by a few strands, which had begun to hurt once the adrenaline died down, so I simply removed the hair tie and placed it securely on my wrist once more. As I walked up the hill's incline, my eyes scanned through the dim light cast by the windows, looking for Dr. Marsh.Or Tim, perhaps.

(Sorry been absent so long guys, but am back now)

Lilly followed The Head councillor out of the woods, she was lost in thought about various things. But she was so torn from her thoughts when The head councillor laughed. Lilly was curious why, but decided it was best not to ask. Then a man came running up to them. Lilly shook her head in reply to his question.

(Also sorry this is such a short and un descriptive post, I promise they'll get better)

As I distanced myself from the darkening forest and became closer to the camp, I was able to make out three faint figures. One of them was significantly smaller than the other two. My pace quickened as I got closer to them, my muddy shoes soaking my feet with each step. My jacket had become soaked from the rain, and my damp hair felt heavy and tangled. I'd imagined that I looked quite a mess, looking as though I'd walked straight from a storm on an otherwise clear night. I recognized the girl's small frame - the girl who had struck Tim. The latter stood beside her. Well. I thought. At least she's still in one piece. "I found him." I said. The chill of my damp clothes and the warmth of the bleeding cut caused a chill to run down my spine despite the strong winds being long gone. I briefly noted the doctor standing near the other two. "He came back this direction." I said, trying to reassure myself as much as I was informing Jason. My brows pressed together as I got closer to Tim. And closer. I stopped in front of him, well-within what most would consider to be personal space, and lowered my voice. "He's your problem Richards. He doesn't trust any of us. Even after we patched him up." I narrowed my eyes. "I tried talking to him, and he won't hear a word of it. If he hurts someone, it's on you." My eyes darted down to the face of the little girl, and then back to Tim. I lifted my chin stubbornly before taking a step back. "I'll be in my cabin. Page me if I'm needed." I wrapped my arms around myself, turning my body toward one of the small cabins closest to the pavilion.

Neither Lily or Tim had answered the question, and to my surprise, I heard Eris call out. "I found him" Turning to her voice, I was shocked to see her. God, what happened to her? Her wet clothes, her hair... wait...SHE WAS BLEEDING! I could barely contain the shock of seeing her in this state. Where was Ashton though? I looked a little to the right and could see him trudging back towards the camp. He too was absolutely soaked. Had he put up some sort of resistance to come back, and attacked Eris? For the first time I didn't know whether to race after Ashton and kick him up the backside, or swing Eris up over my shoulder and carry her back to the medical unit. "He came back in this direction." Eris said. "Yeah, I can see him. He is walking back to the cabins." I pointed him out to Richards and Lily, who would see that he was just as wet as Eris. But before I could ask Eris what had happened, Eris turned on the Head Counselor; Richards. Her voice lowering and filled with emotion. The build up from the first day of training, the treatment of the boy, and now the result - whereby the boy didn't trust any of us. Could you really blame him? I had sensed that the boy wasn't all that impressed with us at the medical unit. Hearing Eris's remarks just made me feel all the worse.

"If he hurts someone, it's on you." Now that I didn't expect her to say. Though she was right. He needed to realize the seriousness of this situation. Mending a physical injury is one thing, fixing the mental...the emotional - that took patience and skill. I watched how Eris raise her chin in defiance. One thing I knew well, don't go interrupting a lady when she is mad. She announced she was going back to her cabin, and to be paged if needed, but she was bleeding all down the front of her shirt with the cut on her chin quite deep.

"Eris...come with me back to the medical unit, please?" This was said, to try and stop her from leaving, but before she answered I said curtly to Richards.

"You and I need to talk, Tim." Oh yes, we sure did. "But after you see Lily back to her cabin, I suggest you go and deal with Ashton first." I made sure that he knew that I put the campers interests before his own, but make no mistake, there was going to be words.

I then turned my back on Richards and Lily, leaving them to mull over what had taken place, and went after Eris. If she stopped a bit further up, the first thing I would do, would be to look at that chin. "I think you need some stitches, Eris."

Relieved that the orientation was over, I followed the councilors out of the hall, grabbing a few bites to eat as I went. The path was fairly straightforward, and well labeled. Based on the applications and questionnaires I had had to fill out i found myself being directed towards a cabin overgrown with ivy and surrounded by all manner of greenery. Setlling in with my trunk I began to reflect on everything that had happened since arriving. This was going to be a LONG stay at camp...

I stopped after a step, placing my hand on the cut. "I can probably heal it." I'm not concerned about the bloody cut. It stung in defiance, and I sighed. Maybe Jason could do it, after all. "I'm worried about him." I said, nodding in the direction Ashton had come. I began to walk again, and lowered my voice as I spoke to Jason. "I didn't mean to snap at Richards." My voice was almost apologetic. But you did mean to. My conscience argued. My thoughts were scattered, and I tried to focus on what I should do next. The last thing I wanted to accomplish on my first evening here was making an enemy out of the staff members - particularly our head counselor.

My steps changed direction, walking to the pavilion once more instead of my cabin. Whether this was out of newly-formed habit or whether it was because I knew that an alcohol scrub would be good for the cut, I was uncertain. Maybe it was because I was listening to Dr. Marsh. My pager hummed again as I walked through the doors into the well-lit pavilion, startling me once more. I silenced it and took it off, setting it on one of the counters of the nurses desk, and went behind the counter to deactivate the emergency alarm. I reached over to the various knobs that controlled the lights, and dimmed them slightly. Much better. I found my seat, and more or less flopped down into it. My head rested on the back of the chair, and I closed my eyes a moment before muttering. "Stitches, doc?" I mused. Though I would have hated to admit it, it was undeniably easier to heal others than it was to patch myself up. For this one, I would need a mirror. And a clearer head. I thought solemnly. "I hope you have steady hands." I remarked, mostly to myself.

Lilly turned as she heard a woman's voice, she had found Ashton, but didn't seem happy at all. She was also beat up pretty bad. Lilly felt sorry for her, she wanted to say or do something comforting, but couldn't think of anything that someone might find comforting, when it was coming from a complete stranger, who was struggling to keep it together over a wound made by a stone. However, Lilly's thought process for coming up with something was interrupted when the woman shouted at Richards, making it very clear that this was all his fault. Then she stormed off. quickly followed by the man who had initially asked them if they knew where Ashton was, but not before he told 'Tim' that they needed to have a talk. Lilly's family hadn't exactly been what one might call 'functional' so she didn't understand many phrases when it came to scolding or praising others, but she could tell that this 'talk' wasn't exactly going to be a heart to heart with some tea and biscuits. Also, Lilly had now learned Head councillor Richards' name, Tim, he may have said it earlier, but this time it stuck, as before was a little overwhelming. Lilly watched as the man and woman walked away, leaving her alone with Tim. She thought bout everything that had happened, and decided that she'd try and find Ashton when she had some free time, to make sure he was ok. She had been worried about him since the performance between him and Tim earlier.

Jason was staring intently at Eris, and shook his head when she said she could probably heal it itself. "Be a lot easier if you just let me do it." It's not like he was trying to force the issue, cause of course she had the right to chose how she was to be treated, but he just had to offer his opinion. Course, Eris was not even thinking of herself at this point. Speaking about how she was worried about the boy. Truth was they both were. The Doctor was torn about going to check on him, but he felt that Eris was his priority. Besides, it was about time that Richards started to manage this boy properly, not leave everything up to the medics. Watching for a sign that she would agree to his request, he smiled a little, when she made a move for the medical center. Push come to shove, she knew that it was better to get this fixed up now. Walking alongside her, he listened patiently as Eris explained that she didn't mean to snap at Richards. This was truly an ice breaker. She may not have meant it, but she bloody well said, what he had been thinking. "Some one had to. Hell, I plan to as well, just not in front of the campers. I may not be able to keep the conversation at a G rating."

Hearing the buzz come from Eris's pocket, Jason remembered his own, and pulled it out of his pocket to check. It was caused from when I had activated the emergency alarm. "Damn, I forgot I switched the emergency alarm on." No doubt it was still shrilly singing out when they reached the medical center....which it was. Thankfully, Eris was first inside and went to turn it off, as he went to get a sterilized tray and the necessary swabs to help fix up Eris.

When he came back into the nurses desk, Eris was already in a seat, with her head tilted back and her eyes closed. "Stitches, Doc?" "Do you even need to ask?" Jason had the tray set up and snapped on a pair of gloves before he even started to peel back the sanitized paper. Eris just couldn't seem to keep quiet. "I hope you've got steady hands'" This caused Jason to smile brightly, as he poured the cleansing alcohol into a small dish. Picking up the swab with tweezers and dipping it into the liquid, before holding it just a touch away from Eris's chin. "Well, I have been told that I am rather skilled with my hands." He gently started to clean the wound and then finished with. "No complaints yet..." Jason winked at her, though he knew that this probably hurt like Hell.

I clenched my jaw as he began his work, concentrating more on today's events than getting rid of the pain. So far I had concluded only a handful of things. One, Tim Richards went hard on his students. With as upset as it had made me, I was hoping that there was a method in his madness. I felt a tugging, and assumed that it was the nimble hands of Dr. Marsh tugging a stitch through the skin. I took a breath and exhaled slowly. Exhale the pain.

Two, Ashton was incredibly unstable. After point number one, some of it seemed justifiable. Some of it. I pondered on some of the things he'd said, and allowed myself to open up to the idea that his abilities weren't gained or discovered naturally. Perhaps it was why he was so volatile, just like the storm in which he'd conjured.

Three, I wanted to learn more about the others - the girl who was brace enough to strike the head counselor. Bray, who had assisted me in helping Ashton back to the pavilion with next to no effort. What was her ability? I'd wondered, wanting a more specific answer to her strength. After walking back to the pavilion shortly after my small tirade, I'd noticed the camper with long blonde hair glancing out of the window of his cabin, overgrown with ivy and shrubbery. Yes, there were many names I didn't yet know - and I could only hope that I got to know more tomorrow under the right circumstances. I winced, as a sharp pain shot across my jaw, but hand to hand it to Dr. Marsh. He was doing an impeccably good job of being as gentle as possible. Which brings me to my fourth point.

Whatever is happening - whatever happened in my stomach when he'd winked at me just now - should stop. Get it together. Don't be unprofessional. I would tell him thank you as soon as I could safely do so. I didn't want to mess up his handiwork. For all of his trouble, though, maybe I would remember his coffee tomorrow morning.

Lilly stood next to Tim, she hadn't moved since everyone had left them standing there, and as far as she could tell, neither had he. She rifled through her thoughts, things she wanted to do, like make sure Ashton was ok. She looked up at Tim. He still seemed silent and unmoving. Maybe what the woman had told him about Ashton being on his head had hit him hard, or maybe it was that 'talk' he was up in line for. Either way, he too seemed lost in thought.

That's when she felt it, that feeling that she couldn't explain, but she knew without a shadow of a doubt what it meant. It was about to begin... Again. "Sorry, s-sir" she said to Tim, she wasn't sure if he was responding or not, as her mind was completely set on holding 'it' back as long as possible. "B-but please excuse me" she said. She courtseyed just to be on the safe side, honestly he still scared her. Then she turned and ran away from him as quickly as possible.

She made a beeline for her cabin, but she had the feeling she wouldn't make it. About half way there she tripped and fell flat on the floor. She tried to stand up again, but it was too late. She let out a small helpless yelp as she collapsed back onto the floor. She squirmed on the floor in agony, as a searing pain engulfed her entire body. All the while she was whimpering.

After a couple of minutes the pain receded. Lilly lay motionless, breathing heavily, unable to find the strength to stand just yet. She gazed up at the sky, watching the clouds fly by. She wasn't sure how much more she'd be able to take. She closed her eyes, knowing that each time 'he' would get stronger,

It was almost impossible for me to keep up with the questions being thrown at me, but I snapped out of my stupor, and realized what was happening. A freak lighting storm had occurred on the south side of the lake. "Ashton..." I cursed. I knew the reason behind this. It was a fit of rage, knowing that he had not been able to beat me. I guess he was signaling for a rematch with this storm he had created. I looked down, noticing that Lilly had vanished. Back to her cabin I assumed.

I ran to the lake, but Ashton was gone. I stood for a moment, thinking where he might have gone. I turned and sprinted back to camp, in the direction of his cabin. Best place to look for him, I assumed. It only took a few minutes, but eventually I caught up with him. I grabbed his shoulder and spun him around. "Ashton, do you have any idea what kind of trouble you are in? Releasing your power like that? You're completely unstable." Then I thought for a moment. "Penance Hall, now." I gripped him tightly by his collar and began to pull him towards the medical pavilion.

"What and throw me in there for a couple weeks. Okay I can do that. I will just catch up on some sleep, god knows I need it. Even though my chest still hurts from your attack its healed, but still a little sore. Once I get out I plan to make this place a living hell for you. Because this place is not really what you said it was. Was oh mighty camp leader. There is a bigger picture and you know it. So by all means lets go I'm kind of tired." I said as I shoved you off of my shoulder and walked towards penance hall.

Ashton was cocky, I'd give him that. He didn't seem scared either. However, the Penance Hall can change a campers perception of their life within a few short weeks. I thought back to four years ago, when I was thrown in there for the first time.

"You'll stay in there till you've learned to control your anger." Head Counselor Powers snarled at me. I knew why I was in here. I had snapped a camper's wrist using my blood art, which he deserved for punching me in the face. I spat at Powers as he closed the door, leaving me in darkness. I turned around and sat on the cold metal chair that was in the center of the room. "It preys on your fears." Powers told me before throwing me in here. I laughed to myself. I wasn't afraid of anything. This would be a breeze.

Then, I heard a voice behind me, small and frail. I turned, and I felt the blood drain from my face. She was wearing the same rose-colored dress, torn on the left side, covered in mud. She was clutching the same beat up old teddy bear I gave her when she was born. Her eyes were the same pale blue, just like when I saw them from the first time. But it was impossible for her to be here. She died three years ago. I swallowed, and choked out my little sister's name. "Victoria?"

I shook the painful memory from my mind, and marched Ashton up to the Penance Hall, passing through the Medical Pavilion. When we turned the corner down the hall of the second floor, the steel door came into view. I pushed Ashton forward towards the door, opening it. "It preys on your fears." I said, as I shoved him inside, and slammed the door.

My thoughts were dulled by footsteps, and I opened my eyes. At the end of the long hallway I saw two people walking in the hall perpendicular to the end of the long hall that passed the nurse's desk - at least that's what I thought I saw from my peripheral vision. I didn't want to jerk my head to look, for fear of an unwanted needle stick. "Hey." I reached my hand up to place it on Dr. Marsh's arm to stop his stitching, but hesitated, and instead pointed. "Who's down there?" The footsteps began to fade, and I'd wondered why they could be going that way. All that was down that hallway was a room full of filing cabinets containing the medical records of various campers that had attended Camp Haven. Well, that and the stairwell. I pursed my lips as I'd begun to develop a hunch as to who the vague silhouettes belonged to. @Tiny Dancer

Lilly sat up, she had lost all awareness of time, and realising that she had no idea how long she'd been lying on the floor worried her. She looked around slowly. No-one was around by the looks of it. She slowly stood up, and brushed any debris from her clothes, before using her fingers as a sort of makeshift hairbrush in order to remove anything that may have got caught in her hair. Before she started moving.

First she decided to return to where she and Tim had been standing before she left abruptly. If he was still there she intended to apologise. While she walked she frantically tried to come up with an excuse as to why she'd suddenly run off. And although she tried her best, she couldn't think of anything that explained all of her actions. Maybe if she just said she needed the toilet or something? She reached the area where she had left Tim, but he wasn't there. Where he had gone, Lilly had no idea. She just hoped she wasn't angry.

After a while Lilly decided she'd try to find Ashton, to be honest, she was worried about him. She remembered something about him being searched for... but her memory was hazy, her memories before the 'attacks' always went a little blurry in places, she also had no idea how long she'd been lying on the floor, so if he had been missing would they have found him yet? She thought to herself, if they had found him, where would they have taken him? Probably to the medical area, after his fight with Tim he was more than likely a little beat up. So Lilly set off in search of the medical area of the camp. After a while she found it. She looked inside to see a man, and he was stitching up what seemed to be a deep wound in the jaw of the woman in front of him. Lilly looked away. She was extremely squeamish. So she waited outside, half because of her squeamishness, and half because she didn't want to intrude. She had recognised the two people from before. They were looking for Ashton, or something like that anyway.

Lilly slid down the wall, and sat leaning against it with her knees tucked under her chin. after a moment she realised just how tired she was. It had definitely been an eventful day. She wrapped her arms around the front of her legs, and waited.

I cleared my throat again as the small girl had entered, then exited the pavilion. "Jason, did you see that girl? I'm going to go see if she needs one of us." I reached out with my mind, unable to detect any injury, but I couldn't trust my senses through a wall. I moved my legs restlessly, wanting for him to release me so that I could go see if the girl needed anything. Or possibly see who was mucking about upstairs. @Tiny Dancer @Geozaki

Feeling Eris place a hand on his arm, I stopped half way through a stitch and looked up into her eyes when she asked "Whose down there?" Truly puzzled for a moment, as I had been too focused on the nurse's stitches, to worry about who might be walking down the corridor in the clinic. "I'm not sure, Eris. I've almost finished though." Which I had. Only problem was she looked a tad upset, so I quickly tied off the stitching neatly, and then pulled back, so that she was free to move about as she wished. Setting down the needle, I removed my gloves and was about to toss them in a medical waste bin, when Eris asked if I had seen the girl. "Girl? What girl?" Turning around, I happened to see the back of the girl as she had gone back to the corridor. Heading outside to see her, I remember her being the one that Richards had been with earlier. The surprising thing was that Richards was no longer with her. Had he gone to speak to Ashton after all? Suddenly, it dawned on me. The footsteps that Eris had heard, and the question of who that might of been. Perhaps Richards had brought the boy through the clinic without stopping to speak to the staff.

Hearing the dull sound of a metallic like thud, it then dawned on me. There was something down on the second floor, but it was only used in desperate measures. I turned to Eris and asked. "You tend to Lily. I am going to go investigate the second floor." I didn't want to alarm the nurse, or Lily, that Richards may well have taken Ashton to Penance Hall.

Lilly closed her eyes, and thought over the day's events. It had certainly been an eventful day to say the least. Soon her thoughts progressed until she found herself in the depths of her imagination. It was her favourite place to be, her imagination. Closely followed by forests. She felt free in her own little worlds. She could be whoever she wanted to be, do whatever she wanted to do, and for a while, she could just forget about the problems she was facing in reality. Lilly had probably spent much more time living inside her made up world that she stores in her head than she had in her home, but she preferred it.

Lilly opened her eyes again, she wasn't sure if the people inside were finished yet. She stood up, but before she checked she tried to mentally prepare herself. Talking to people had never been her strong point, especially not people she hardly knew. But she felt like she had to do this. She placed her hand to her head, she'd become aware of it throbbing again. But couldn't decide weather it was from the cut that the stone had created, or just another side affect of her episode.

Lilly looked inside, doing her best to ignore her headache, as she did the man seemed to be leaving the room, but the woman was still there. Lilly slowly walked in, trying not to show how nervous she was. "H-hey" she said to the woman, even if she had managed to conceal the fact that she was nervous before, her voice probably have it away. "Sorry to bother you, but I was wandering if you had found Ashton? If you haven't I'd like to help... If that's ok, and if you have could I see him please?" She finished speaking and wiped her palms on her trousers.

I mirrored Jason's movements as he stood, reaching up to feel the thin stitches that had now decorated my cheek. The cut didn't hurt as bad now that it was closed. Perhaps if I took some time to focus on it tonight, I'd be able to take them out as early as tomorrow. Something about laying my head on my pillow tonight though sounded rather gratifying. I walked quietly toward the door, my damp shoes making a small squeaking sound as I walked. The door opened, and I looked up to see the same young girl. "Oh!" I stopped walking. "Hello. Do you need something, dear?" I listened to her request about Ashton. It was good that she was concerned about her fellow camper. She should be. More than a few of us were. "You're not bothering me at all." I said softly to her. "I saw him come toward the camp." I explained. "And I just saw two people going upstairs. Dr. Marsh is going to see who it was right now." I imagined her trying to visit him in his volatile state and a lump grew in my stomach. I tried to give her an encouraging smile, but it fell just as quickly as I'd remembered my tiny spat toward the head counselor in front of her. I cleared my throat. "I'm sorry you had to see me get upset with Tim a bit ago." I placed my hands in my pockets. "I'm not the only one who stood up to him today, though. You were incredible this morning during orientation."

I turned away from the steel door, walking back down into the Medical Pavilion. Turning the corner into the waiting area, I had to stop short to avoid hitting Dr. Marsh. I was about to walk past her to leave, until I saw the look on her face. She must have known that I took Ashton to the Penance Hall, and she was clearly not happy about it. I sighed and looked at her. "What do you want me to do? He's arrogant, unstable, and untrained. The Hall will give him the ego and reality check he needs to realize that he can't go around doing whatever he likes all the time."

So it was Richards that he had heard go past the medical center office - nearly bumping into him as I searched for the source of the noise. Sure, I was upset....the kid had just caused Eris an injury, and to top it off, Lily was looking for the boy as well. With Eris tending to Lily, it gave me a chance to speak to Richards one on one....man to man.

"What do you want me to do?" He started with. I could hardly believe what I was hearing; a head counselor that didn't know how to handle a boy with serious anger issues. Isn't that what he was supposed to be trained to be able to deal with. Like how I had done seven years of med school, so that I would be able to treat the sick and injured, and hopefully save lives. I took my vocation extremely seriously, when it came to the well being of the campers, be they campers or not.

"He's arrogant...unstable and untrained."

"He's a kid! It's part of being an adolescent, Tim. Aren't you supposed to teach him how to learn stability...to learn how to be able to control himself?" You could see the locking of my jaw, which showed off the ruggedness of my features. Dark eyes drilled his, as he then heard what he dreaded most. "The hall would give him the ego and reality check he needs to realize he can't go around doing whatever he likes all the time."

"Penance? You locked him in Penance?!" I stared at him, incredulous about what I was hearing. "This is a camp, Tim...not a prison." How would Richards respond to that?

Lilly's face started to redden when the woman complimented her on hitting Tim. "I-It wasn't, I didn't really..." she stuttered, "It's not really something I can take credit for" She finally managed to say. After a moment, Lilly had managed to regain her voice's stability. "You don't have to apologise" She said. She had understood why the woman would have been angry with Tim, She was angry with him herself, just too scared to say anything, and she didn't even have to go through the trauma of nursing the injured people back to health. On top of that she had seen worse in her life, much worse, so it didn't affect her as much as it probably should have.

"Do you think that one of the people who went upstairs was Ashton?" Lilly asked after a short while. She paused "What's upstairs?" She asked curiously, she assumed it was more medical supplies, but if someone had gone upstairs with Ashton, and that person wasn't part of the medical team then something about the idea of upstairs just being medical supplies didn't seam likely. But then again, for all Lilly knew it could have been a member of the medical team, she only knew of the two who'd been in the room when she arrived. But there could have been more.
