It was another evening at Camp Half-Blood. The sun was nearly gone, and the fire in the amphitheater burned bright with the energy of the demigods in attendance. The camp's activites director, Chiron, smiled amiably as the conclusion of the night approached. Or so he thought. A nagging feeling gnawed at his subconscious mind, causing the centaur to become hyper aware of his surroundings. Everything seemed normal... children were singing and putting on displays utilizing their various skills. A loud pop sounded off in the night, causing a downpour of somewhat burnt popcorn to rain down on some. Some sat close to the fire, others sat some distance away, as if trying not to be noticed. When it hit him, it felt like Heracles himself had punched him in the stomach.
"Gods of Olympus," Chiron uttered mostly to himself, as he surveyed the faces of those both old and new to camp. His brow knitted with worry, and the old centaur's eyes were glazed, as if he was struck with a high dose of Deja Vu. "It all makes sense now... The visions, the influx of new campers..." Chiron shook his head, but still looked deeply troubled. He eyed particular faces in the crowd, and with each face he met, the anxiety in his heart grew heavier.
"Alright, youngsters. It is late, and I do believe we should be settling down. You'll need your rest for tomorrow, I expect you seniors will show the newcomers the ropes and stay close by them during our game of capture the flag tomorrow afternoon!. Everyone back to your cabins... Everyone except the following campers. Zanna Aswerlath, daughter of Nemesis. Nathaniel McNeal, son of Apollo. Asha Kapoor, daughter of Hermes. Arabella Eriza, daughter of Aphrodite. Juliet Orion, daughter of Demeter. Logan Fletcher, son of Hypnos. Alexandra Clay and Samantha Yu, daughters of Hephaestus. Zeno Ukwtakun, Agatha Sthenius and Derek Newman and Leah Rose, children of Zeus. Tyder Reinhart and Marion Hale, daughters of Iris. Caspian Phillips, Momilani Luana and Leila James, children of Poseidon. Luna Ashwood, daughter of Nyx. Dylan Vega, son of Hebe. Karen Ellingsen, daughter of Triton. Adam Spark, son of Ares. Avalon Quinn, daughter of Hecate. Alana Jameson, daughter of Dionysus. Riley and Alex Greyson, children of Hades."
"I need all of you to come with me, immediately." As the campers cleared the amphitheater, murmuring amongst themselves, they all shot glances at the people whose names were called. There was tension and curiosity in the air. Some were jealous of the called names without actually knowing why. Some were somber, as if the names called were a death sentence. Some snickered, like the called names were in trouble with the principle. The reactions were many and varied. Those who followed Chiron would eventually come to a, for some, perhaps familiar sight. The Big House. Chiron didn't wait very long before beginning a steady trot past the lake towards the Big House. Thalia's pine loomed in the distance, a tall beacon signaling the edge of the camp. At the centaur's pace, it only took a few short minutes to get there.
“My children, I know you have questions. I will certainly do my best to answer them, but let us all speak inside. I ask only for just a bit more your patience.” The sky blue multi-story house loomed over the gathering of demigods in the night. The lights were on inside, visible from the first floor's windows. Chiron walked up the stairs and backed into his magical wheelchair, waiting for him on the porch that wrapped around the entire perimeter of the house. Without a moment's hesitation, he wheeled his way inside through the front doors. Anyone glancing out past the deck would be treated to the sight of the expanse of the forest and the Long Island Sound, lit only by the veil of starlight that flickered above.
Chiron continued, wheeling past two doors until he got to the Recreation Room. In the middle of the large room, a ping pong table stood, serving as both a pastime and an official business table, as any cabin leader would already know. Various arcade games lined the walls, along with dartboards and even a mini fridge. Playing a game of Pacman in the corner was a man with an exotic print shirt and a portly figure. He didn't bother turning around, but occasionally, he'd murmur a few choice phrases of victory. "Hah! Eat my grapes, Blinky!"
Chiron came to a stop at the head of the table, huffing out a breath as if some part of the trip was tiring for him, even if it wasn't likely. He waited patiently for everyone to gather around the table. "Now then--"
"Not today, Inky! You're drunk, go home."
Chiron cleared his throat loudly.
"Yes, yes, I hear you. I'm setting a new high score, I'll be right with you. Probably."
Chiron shook his head, but didn't object. "Let us get to the heart of why I've gathered you all here tonight. Firstly, I know some of you are new here to Camp Half-Blood. You may be wondering about what you thought you knew about your past, and your parents--or how I know for that matter. There is no simple way to say this, but--"
"Rot in Tartarus, Pinky! You didn't see that coming, eh?!"
Chiron's eye twitched in slight annoyance, however, he continued. "But the truth of the matter my heroes, is that I don't exactly know. You see, there has been relative peace ever since the most recent fall of the Titans and the Giants decades ago. However, ever since then... I have been dreaming. I've seen things that go beyond normal dreams, perhaps visions." From Chiron's expression, one might get the impression that he meant to say horrible visions, but he didn't vocalize those feelings. "I've seen each of you, long before you came to this camp. I often wondered who these strange faces were, but I kept it between only Mr. D. and myself, all these years. I knew it wasn't a coincidence when Dylan and Leila came to camp 8 years ago. Slowly but surely, all the faces I'd seen began to arrive, and after tonight? There are none left. As for how I know your names... It is difficult for me to say this, because I don't want to scare you, but I must be honest with you all. Every few nights, I would see one of you demigods, standing inside the Judgement Pavilion of the Underworld. I see the three judges, deeming each of you--"
"Clyde? CLYDE?!? Why you--of all the ghosts, Clyde outwits me? The great and all-powerful Dionysus?! Take that!" Dionysus pointed at the arcade game, his finger shaking with concentration, as vines came up from the wooden floorboards and crushed the machine. As if that weren't enough, the wine god cleched his fist, and the machine exploded in angry purple flames of passion. The god guffawed maniacally for a few long moments before calming down, clearing his throat, and turning to face the demigod gathering, nonchalantly adjusting some minor wrinkles from his button down printed shirt. "...I won."
Chiron fingered his temples, perhaps suppressing another surge of irritation. "It doesn't have to be this way. I know in my heart, that we can change your fate." The last thing the old centaur wanted to see was a group of children who he sincerely cared for, all dying before their time. As he looked upon the faces of the divine offspring, he felt as if he knew them all. And yet, they were complete strangers. "I never hear why the judges of the Underworld judge you the way they do, only the end result... but the prophecy you heard tonight, is what I believe, a chance to take your fate into your own two hands," he glanced in turn at each person. "And write your own destiny."

Samantha dutifully followed Chiron toward the Big House, regretfully saying her goodbyes for the night. She kept relatively close to Dylan and Karen, the only other people with which she was at least slightly acquainted with. Max, in turn, kept close to her; the white haired husky was more curious than his human companion, eager to run circles around everyone and receive numerous scratches and rubs. Occasionally, Sam would glance over at a stoic-faced girl with red hair and glasses. She had no idea who she was, but for some reason, she felt a connection to her that she couldn't place. Maybe... could she be the other daughter of Hephaestus? It was highly illogical to make such an assumption without any solid evidence, so Samantha dismissed the feeling for now, following the crowd like a sheep amidst a flock.
Samantha gazed at Chiron's towering height and tried to suppress the urge to sigh in relief that this being was on their side, unlike the monsters that chased her in the woods earlier that day. The world had changed a lot in 24 hours, but she was glad to be somewhere safe. As they reached the Big House, Chiron backed into a wheelchair--was that even physically possible? What kind of technology was that! Amazed, all she could do was continue into the house. This looked like a serious matter, so Samantha didn't bother harassing the centaur with any annoying questions. They came into what looked like a game room, where a man with a horrendous shirt was already waiting, playing an enthralling game of Pacman.
Chiron said his piece, doing his best to satisfy the curiosity of the campers gathered before him. And though the man at the game, who eventually revealed himself to be Dionsyis? Donysius? ...Mr. D., interrupted every now and again, Chiron managed to conclude his monologue without losing sight of the severity of the situation, even after the "god's" rampage. Samantha would have been stunned into silence were it not for the questions blazing to life in her mind. Did he just say they were all basically going to die? That couldn't be right! Samantha began to bite her lower lip at the moment of silence that ensued. Finally, the daughter of Hephaestus spoke up.
"T-this is crazy." Yeah, she was new here, but how can anyone know the future? It sounded ridiculous to her. Even as she began to speak, she knew the evidence was pretty conclusive. That Chiron could see all their faces and recognize them... and hear all their names and repeat them with unerring accuracy was practically all the proof one could ask for. Unless he was psychic... "A-and even if it's true... well, how would we change it? Our, um, fate, I mean. What if... What if going on this quest or whatever, actually seals our fates? You know, out of the frying pan and into the fire."

Zeno's eyebrows had risen when Chiron had called his name. He was so surprised he almost choked on his popcorn. Here he was, thinking he'd successfully infiltrated the camp discreetly, when suddenly the camp activities director called him out by name. "That can't be possible," he replied inwardly. "How could he know?" The director had continued to go down his mental list of names, as if it wasn't a big deal.
Awestruck, the son of Zeus stood on numb legs and followed Asha, who coincidentally had also been called. He went without saying much, but he looked up at Chiron, wishing he'd brought his weapons with him. He had his long knife with him, but he felt more confident with a strong, reliable axe. All the same, he followed, compelled by what felt like an unknown force daring him onward.
Once they got inside, Zeno couldn't help but admire the house. It was all over the place, but it had a homely feel to it, and he relaxed a bit. They gathered around a ping pong table, and Zeno checked to see if anyone else thought it was weird. Chiron spoke, and Zeno listened. He tried his best not to pay too much attention to Mister D, but it was pretty challenging for him. Everything about him, from his demeanor to his fashion sense, commanded attention. Finally his game of Pacman ended, and Zeno could pay full attention. Chiron ended his speech on as hopeful a note as could be, effectively answering his question of how he knew his name in the process. Then, an Asian girl spoke up in a rather shaky tone, indicating she was probably unsettled.
"T-this is crazy. A-and even if it's true... well, how would we change it? Our, um, fate, I mean. What if... What if going on this quest or whatever, actually seals our fates? You know, out of the frying pan and into the fire."
Zeno frowned as she finished, feeling the tension in the room elevate again. He spoke up, looking in her direction. "What if we don't go, and our actions guarantee the vision comes true? It seems, I think, that we are at a crossroads."

For the majority, if not all of the day, Avalon was inside her cabin sleeping. The previous night she'd been awake reading extensively through a book which explained to her the concepts of her magic in greater depth. That and talking Luna out for a very long walk that involved some fetch and running around. When she finally awoke, it was already past sunset. Swiftly getting out of bed, she shuffled around and got ready for the day-uh night. Dressing briskly in her usual dark clothing she walked out of her cabin and glanced around to figure out where everyone was. Snapping her fingers quietly to call her dog, she made her way down to the bonfire that was clearly visible against the dark skies.
Letting out a long yawn as she walked, Avalon ran a hand through her hair a bit, not really caring if it stuck out everywhere. It wasn't like she'd be doing to much, or at least that's what she assumed. Making it down to the amphitheater, she stretched out and relaxed once finding a spot off to the side. Leaning against a tree, she stood waiting for Chiron to speak. At her side, Luna sat there quietly, looking around in her own animal like curiosity.
A small smile twitched across her lips as she watched Chiron call the evening to end which half sucked for Avalon considering she just woke up. As he spoke, she started looking around, having forgotten that there was a bunch of new comers today, or old timers returning, all for the summer camp. Being an all rounder, she typically forgot about these things partly due to not interacting with everyone else much. Ava figured it was safe to assume none of the new arrivals were children of Hecate, by now they would've been introduced to their Cabin and upon waking, she had not seen anyone thing out of the ordinary. Just her things splayed out all over the place. Ava wasn't known for being lazy, she just had a bad habit of not putting things away after taking them out to look at. Or organizing and stacking papers. It was a wonder sometimes how she managed to make it look presentable when Cabin sweeps were done.
Her mind started to drift as the centaur started talking again but was pulled from her thoughts as she heard her name be called. Eyes narrowed slightly as she listened for the instruction that followed after. Instantly, all sorts of reactions followed suit. Ava herself said nothing, not really reacting to the news at all. Why she was called? She didn't know but Ava had the feeling it had to do with the prophecy. Turning away, Avalon headed to the Big House quietly, Luna following obediently. Out of all the names called, she vaguely knew a couple of them which made her feel slightly guilty. She wasn't the greatest at interacting with her fellow camp members so she wouldn't be to surprised if none really knew who she was. Maybe this way she'd be able to get to know a few a bit better. 'Oh yeah, a mission where we could all possibly die is a great ice breaker.' She sarcastically retorted to herself.
Yawning again, she took the semi long way around to give other people time to enter before she did. "Well, now I wish I looked a tad more presentable. Oh well, I don't mind. Come Luna, I'll take you for a walk later if time permits." she said looking down at the collie with a smile. The young dog barked in agreement and Avalon reached down to pat her head briefly. Making her way up the stairs, she entered the Big House and glanced around before moving to one side of the room. Luna lay down at her feet as Avalon leaned back against some table/desk/dresser type thing, whatever.
Her eyes traveled around the room as she observed some of the people, trying to remember who some of them were. Again, a sense of guiltiness washed over her but left as fast as it came once Chiron started talking again. Listening quietly, she raised an eyebrow slightly. Frowning, she was about to say something when a couple others spoke first. Shutting her mouth, she turned her head to them and listened.
Somewhere in their remarks, she started rolling her eyes slightly and as soon as they were done, she stood up straight and spoke. She wasn't particularly a quiet speaker but she wasn't loud either. Her vice easily carried throughout the hushed and tense room."So, is there a prophecy that made you realize this? Or something else? Or did it just sorta hit you...I mean, dreams aren't exactly just dreams for us sometimes but I'm just curious. How did it come to the conclusion that our deaths are possibly awaiting us?"
Mood: Hopeful and Anxious / Location: Big House's Rec Room / With: Everyone, responding to Avalon @9forgotten
Chiron gazed thoughtfully at Avalon, listening to her words and doing his best to understand her concerns. It seemed like she considered the possibility that his dreams were merely that. He didn't know her terribly well; she had been coming to camp for three years now, yet she kept to herself. As a child of Hecate, Chiron hoped that she would bond with her brothers and sisters when she first arrived, even if she preferred the company of her canine companion. Chiron couldn't imagine why Avalon would be deemed unworthy by the judges of the Underworld, let alone any of these demigods. Before Chiron could respond to her, Dionysus butted in.
"Don't be ridiculous, Adaline, the dreams we have aren't like those silly mortal dreams. You'd be wise to pay attention to them, they've been warning us of danger ever since the dawn of Heroes."
"Her concern is valid, Mr. D. Something is amiss with my visions," Chiron admitted. "However, I cannot simply take these dreams as simple mental constructs. That I knew your name and parentage years before you ever arrived, the odds alone... My dear, for people like us, dreams like mine must be taken very seriously. What I feel is not quite right," Chiron continued. "Is that all of you were sent to the fields of punishment." He forced the last of his sentence out with a pained expression and a heavy tone. "I am inclined to take this for what I believe it truly is. A warning. But of what? Truly, I cannot say."
Zanna continued to remain laying on the ground, facing skyward as she began to think about the new prophecy, and to be truthful, it didn't sound like much, mostly just the gods making them run errands for items they are too lazy to get themselves; like a parent sending a child to the store for some milk. She didn't mind doing those sort of tasks, but it did get boring a lot. She let out a sigh at that thought.
After a while, Zanna raised an eyebrow, just now noticing it was way quieter then usual, it sounded like just one person was speaking now. The voice was a familiar one, Zanna could tell that much, she just couldn't put a name to the man at the moment, until he revealed his name, Chiron. Oh yeah, the centaur that watches over us...I almost forgot about him... thought Zanna to herself, remembering how she rarely ever interacted with him, for there was no real need to.
The girl continued to listen in on his words, explaining about the oracle and other things, before dismissing almost everyone, except for a few people, herself included it seemed. This made Zanna curious, why would he need her for anything? This curiosity prompted her to slowly stand up and follow the sound of his hooves hitting the ground, luckily for her, the footsteps of hooves and of feet were extremely different from each other. After a while of following, and going through her mental map, Zanna began to realize that he was leading the group to the Big house, a place she rarely passed by, once again, no real reason to.
"Something wrong Chiron?" asked Zanna in a curious, yet worried, manner as she used her right hand to fix her purple sunglasses, a habit she preformed when anxious or nervous, usually when talking to people as she wanted as few people as possible to know about her blindness. She wanted to be treated no differently then anyone else.

"Daughter of Triton?!" gasps Karen. "I don't understand. My dad died when I was--but--" In something of a daze, she accompanies the others.
Looking back over her life, she remembers little things. The way water has always cradled and embraced her, as if she belongs to it. The speed with which she picked up the skills of rowing and sailing. She has never "caught a crab" -- lost control of her oar, in the parlance of rowers -- never made a mistake in tacking on a sailboat. From the time she was able to walk, she has never lost her balance or become sick when on a boat.
And the beautiful women -- sea nymphs, the mythology books had called them -- why would they have come to her rescue unless she was somehow like them?
She remembers the glowing conch shell over her head like a period, punctuating a sentence her mind had already formed.
"But," she says painfully at last, "I had a father. I knew my father. Are you saying he wasn't--?"

"Why not?"
Alex speaks for the first time since the bonfire, her voice as flat as an old 8-track tape that's been played too many times. When she lifts her head, her eyes lack their old hard brightness, and seem tarnished and muddy.
"Maybe that's just the way it is. Maybe we're like Oedipus -- we're just going to screw up badly no matter what we do.
"You know the secret truth about Oedipus, right? He wasn't ambushed by the prophecy he would kill his father and marry his mother. He always knew when it meant. When the he got the oracle, he knew it meant he would have to treat every man or woman over thirty as his parents from now on. When the old man cursed him from the chariot, and the woman laughed beside him, he knew. But he couldn't change his nature, give up his anger. So he killed his father.
"And then, when he defeated the Sphinx and was led into the city as a victor to marry the queen and there she was, he knew. But she couldn't be sure. She'd only seen him covered in blood and dirt from the road. She wasn't sure he was the same guy. And her look at him, the soft bright look of the she-wolf at the new alpha...
"He wanted to be king. So he pretended he had never seen her before. And that's how Oedipus killed his father and married his mother. He wasn't a helpless victim of Fate. He walked into it with both eyes open -- that's why he had to put his eyes out afterwards. Not because he was innocent, but because he was selfish.
"So...what if we end up in the fields of punishment? Maybe we deserve it."

Standing there, Avalon waited for Chiron to answer, wondering where this whole thing would lead them all. Before he could answer however, Mr. D interrupted, getting an annoyed expression from the typically topic Avalon. Her gaze shifted to the God for a moment as he answered her question although something about the way he said it pissed her off. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she mentally debated on snapping back in annoyance but figured that wouldn't be the brightest idea seeing he was a God and all. Looking back at Chiron, she waited for him to answer her question in a better way. Listening silently, she nodded slightly and shrugged faintly. "Fair enough. I suppose we'll find out when the time comes." she decided with a nod.
With that, she withdrew herself from the conversation and jut stood there listening and watching everyone else. She turned her head slightly now and then as people spoke amongst themselves, discussing the topic of this heavy news. Avalon herself didn't feel to concerned about it all, whatever came she'd tackle head on. Running a hand through her hair, she wondered how things would proceed from this point on. It wasn't like they had a prophecy to follow or anything so would they just be waiting around for things to happen? Or would they go out and face whatever 'fate' had in store for them?
There had to be a reason why there specific names and faces were seen and called. Humming lightly to herself, she leaned over slightly to pat the top of her dogs head, murmuring quietly about whatever. giving Luna one last pat, she stood up again and looked back up front. Hopefully this wouldn't take much longer, she was getting a bit hungry and Luna was getting restless. Both wanted to get out and go for a walk or something but of course, camp things and danger warnings came first.
Seven years. Derek Newman has been a demigod for seven years. Well, he's been a demigod child of Zeus all his life, but only knew why his father was a deadbeat for seven years. "This is crazy." He was reliving that hydra attack back when he was only eleven. Son of the sky God, the four people had called him, right before becoming a massive, black, four headed lizard. "Thanks, Nicanor." Derek spoke to himself, having been stuck in a meeting that he wasn't entirely fond of. "I owe you one, buddy." Two, actually he thought to himself, remembering his plummet into a river after being pushed by his own jealous stepmother. Derek coughed as he looked down at the floor, focusing on the memory of the water and how he now feared any body of water bigger than a swimming pool. The boy began to shiver. "Could be worse," he grumbled to himself, "could be a Poseidon or Triton kid. That would be way embarrassing if I'm still scared of lakes and whatever." Derek realized he'd been talking to himself more than normal, and quickly shut his mouth, focusing on the meeting, until his ADHD kicked in again. He began to tap his foot, making his lightning bolt shaped sword, Keravnos, tremble at his side. Derek had received this single gift from Zeus, back when he was eleven and first claimed by the sky God. Ruffling his dark, cropped hair, he waited for a good three minutes, and everyone still seemed to be focused on this meeting. Set an example, he mouthed, rolling his brown eyes again. Whatever. He didn't need to set an example all the time. He wasn't the only Big Three demigod at Camp Halfblood, after all. Upon hearing the names being called off, Derek sighed, hearing his own. "Crap. Whatever. I guess this is cool." He stood, preparing to follow the group.

She is called by Chiron. No kidding, she is called. Instead of the older and more experienced camper, those who already trained so hard so they can embark on a journey and returned as a hero. What would she do if people jeer at her?
"Look at that girl Agatha she got called because she's the daughter of Zeus while she just arrived in the camp for two years" or "Zeus's baby girl."
Agatha would probably lock her self inside her sleeping bag, and stay in the corner of one of Zeus's cabin until her half brother roll or drag her out. But somehow she managed to calm her self down. The phropecy or vision might not be about her. It will probably for Derek or her other half siblings and half cousins. But of course Fate doesn't want her to have a easy live. Wait, correction, Fate will not let any demigod live peacefully.
Hearing that Chiron saw her and everyone inside the room judged by the three judge in the underworld certainly did not sound like a heroic quest. More like a suicide mission, whatever it will be. Thanks to Chrion's scary vision, walking out of the camp and taking the bus to buy a magazine in 7Eleven is already sound as dangerous as Hercules's quests.
Agatha tried to calm her self, thinking of butterflies and a cute little puppy and flowers but it didn't work. She glanced at her translated version of "Oliver Twist". Oh how tempted she is to open it and continue reading, instead of listening to some shitty vision.
Luna's name was called, her name. Why would her name be called when she only just arrived a couple of days ago. Frowning slightly she followed everyone else into the Big house, glancing up every now and again to have a look at the other mysterious faces that names had been drawn from Chirons lips. Her name, it just didnt make sense. Luna kept repeating Chiron saying it along with "daughter of Nyx" In her head. Whoever that was, no nothing was going at all the way she had planned it.
Luna shook her head, no this cant be right. In all honesty she just wanted to run out of the cabin and keep running, this wasnt the life she had chosen and now there was a possibility she was going to get judged by 3 judges in the underworld and if the looks on everyone's faces was something to go by it wasnt going to end well.Luna glanced out of the window, hoping the night would give her some solace but Chirons voice continued talking and Luna slowly slumped up against a wall. "Well this sucks" She muttered to herself unknowingly, "This really sucks"
Alana Jameson's name had been called. Not that she minded. True she wanted to sleep at this point, her day had been spent in the strawberry field, having a heyday with the plants and even pocketing some, but she also knew that her father, Dionysus, would be there. Alana ate one strawberry out of a small jar that she'd used, savoring the taste and getting to her feet as well. No doubt they were to be discussing some new quest while relaxing on the furniture and laughing about their activities throughout the day. It made Alana smile to know that she was part of something greater than just getting up and going to school, maybe hanging out in a movie theater on the weekends. No, Alana and every student at this camp were demigods, half God, half mortal, and all exceedingly gifted. True, all she could do was manipulate plants, but that was way more than the other kids at her school could do. As Alana listened to all the names, she bit her lip, already wary of her power and how it could possibly help that she'd been here for such a short time and could barely use them properly. What an embarrassment!
Riley scratched is head as he listened to Chiron spoke and called the select group of kids, and somehow his name happened to be called. Everyone else around him groaned and mumbled unnecessary thing under their breath as the kids walked away. " Guess the old mans picking favorites again" Some guy named Benny spoke up from the crowd. He was in his seventh year here and the son of Apollo. A few of his friends agreed while others just spoke among themselves until the crowd of kids old and new dispersed. Riley watched the kids as they walked away only letting his eyes linger for a moment before he turned and walked with the rest of the kids who's name was called ignoring the comments from others, especially my Benny son of Apollo. " Look at him, you can just tell he's up to no good, he probably prays to Hades himself".Yes Riley was the son to the most hated and feared god that there was, Lord Hades himself.
He was one of the few born to one of the three highest gods being Zeus and Posiden. People who didn't know him just assumed that he was trouble and up to know good, or would fall into the group of kids who left due to their want of control and power. No one really knew Riley for him but then again he didn't really care what people thought of him. It was annoying at times and he felt like some people either hung out with him for their own selfish benefit or because they were afraid of him.
Riley quietly listened as Chiron spoke, even though he didn't quite see things eye to eye at times he still respected the old man. When Chiron spoke of them being judged in the underworld he raised an eyebrow and looked around at the other kids faces. Maybe he wasn't hearing things right or maybe Chiron's dreams were wrong. He ran his hand through his hair and then tapped his foot slightly to a beat in his head. " So your saying that all of us have done some crime we have no clue about to have up sent to the underworld....Huh I don't really see that happening but then again you can prove me wrong." Riley spoke looking straight at Chiron. Their eyes only looked in each others direction briefly before Riley turned and walked away He was trying to make sense of it all but it was pretty hard to believe to a certain extent. Riley's powers weren't that stable and they weren't friendly but he'd never use it to kill someone, that would be the only reason he could see himself being sent down there....his fathers domain, somehow that sent a chill down his spine. He sighed as he walked down near the river to clear his head.
It had been quite crazy for Momilani over the past week, packing up and leaving her small island home with a person she never met, traveling across a foreign country and seeing some great sights, arriving at a strange camp with a bunch of different people of all... origins was the best she could describe it. People with the ability to sing amazingly, half goat like creatures, etc... So much was going through her mind as she layed there on her bored in a inland body of water, a lake at the others had called it, letting the water gently rock her soothingly as she gazed up at the stars, letting her mind catch up with reality. After everyday she liked to come out and surf on the waters of either the beach or just float on the lake and just stargaze, it helped her relax and unwind.
"The past week has been amazingly crazy, but why am I here?" she asked out loud to the water around herself, call her crazy but it was something that she did from time to time back in Molokai, talking to the water. The crazier part was sometimes she swore that the water talked back to her on a rare occasion, how cooky is that?
She turned her head towards the bank of the lake to catch a glimpse of the man in the wheelchair, Chiron, wheeling himself away with a big group of kids and what looked to be adults behind him, this raised her curiosity, maybe she could get some answers to her questions, or maybe she could at least met some new people. With those thoughts, her mind was made up. She got up carefully so she would be sitting on the end of the long board and started to slowly and silently paddle towards where the group of people were going, to a big house it seemed. What's in there? she wondered to herself as she paddled, concentrating on not making a ton of noise; despite her being a bit behind the group she didn't wanna get caught for doing something she might not be allowed to do.
As the group of people went inside, Momilani decided to get closer to the somewhat looking worn-down big house, it defiantly wasn't like the rest of the structures she had seen at camp so far, but it had a sort of rustic charm to it; making her smile a bit. She paddled to the bank of the river and got onto dry land before taking her 9'0 board out of the water and started to walk closer to the house, water droplets dripping from her hazel hair and watery footprints being left behind.
She slowly walked up to the porch, climbing the few steps that there were, before stopping at the door and quietly placing the bottom of the bored onto the ground, it standing a whole 3 feet above her. She slowly raised her arm and knocked on the door a few times,"Aloha, Chiron? Can we talk?" asked Momilani, hoping that maybe she could get some answers without getting into any trouble.
Leah Rose watched as the group filled behind Chiron, 'at least I was not called', she thought to herself with a sigh. 'Well I should make my way to the wall while I have the chance.' She rose from her seat and began briskly walking towards the climbing wall in the north east corner of the camp. This, was probably her most favorite place. She loved the challenge and most of all she loved the view. It was probably the best in all of camp at least by her telling. She took a deep breathe in through her nose then slowly out through her mouth. A calmly technique shed found very helpful.
She smiled as her fingers touched the warm gold chain around her neck with a simple gold lightening bolt hanging off of it. Her dad had given it to her upon their first meeting. You see on her way to camp half blood she was attacked by a chimera. She was so scared and inexperienced she thought for sure she was dead. Suddenly in a flash of bright golden light, her dad appeared. He rescued her that day, then lead her safely the rest of the way to Thalia's tree. On their walk he answered questions and gifted her with the necklace. It was her most dearest possesion, it also doubled as a very strong shield with a lightening bolt in the middle.
Ever since that day Leah Rose vowed to never be in such a situation again, weak scared. From that day forth she trained day and night as hard as she could until she was strong, fast, agile. She mastered the Kantana as well as the bow and arrow, her aim never missing its target.
As she approached the wall she stared up at its vastness and just admired its beauty for a minute. She then proceed to attach herself to a harness and hook onto another demigod who agreed to belay her. She walked up to the wall and placed her on its rough surface with a smile. She then released the wall reached into the bag around her waist and rubbed some chalk onto her hands. She then began her assent. Right hand left hand left foot right foot, up and up she climbed. The air thinned and smelled of fresh pines. From here she could see it all. And boy what a view it was. She smiled as she neared the top, just a little farther. She could feel the burn in her forearms and her legs. It was getting harder but she was far from a quitter. Finally she reached the top, her hand hit the bell and she stopped for a minute just to relax and admire the gorgeous view.
All this talk about fate and a prophecy, yet none of it appealed to Nate. Nate actually had difficulties following all of what was said or what was happening. His moment of clarity had all-but vanished, leaving him in partially-ethereal trance of surrealism. It was far from the crazed delusions he used to have, but the reality was that he was actually far off reality. Nate was actually still reeling in the destruction of the arcade game. Dionysus seemed to have an attitude more akin to his own, and this led his thoughts astray. Of course, the first question was 'what game?' and then came the second thought: Mr. D was using vines. Of course, Nate required direct sunlight, but still. All of these things interested Nate far more than the discussion of the group.
After a deep amount of thought, mostly wondering if Mr. D could teach him to use his vines better, Nate finally returned to the group. Grounded in their questions, still had little regard for the prophecy or even Chiron's dreams. In a nonchalant tone, he said, "Fate is decided by three: Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos. When I was locked away, I saw them draw, measure and sheer thousands of threads. Sometimes, I saw it drawn. Life was given. Sometimes, I saw it measured; we are only given so long - it's determined from birth. Sometimes, I saw it sheered; Atropos decides how we die. I know now what those dreams meant; a few books about mythology and the random makes sense...
...but I think we look at fate all wrong. We cannot change fate directly... but I have seen the Fates change the length of a thread and even change how it is sheared if a man proved himself worthy. These were not gods or demigods; they were mere men. If I was given these visions for a reason, I'm sure it was to have this conversation. To tell you that I have seen fate change. But, we do not change it. They do and it is through great acts that it is done." Nate looked around after his little rant. Really, he was just talking. Absolutely everyone could have ignored him and he would have kept going. His time spent in solitary severely impacted his social skills.
More notably is that while Nate seemed to make sense, he also seemed off. While his explanation seemed perfect, he also seemed distant. Confident in his answer, but apathetic to it's consequences. While everyone else was nervous, anxious and excited, Nate was bored. He had seen Fate extended for various reasons. An firemen inside a building, destined to die to a falling support beam, might have his life extended twelve years last second by the fates. For what reason, he didn't know. On the other hand, a paramedic called on scene might have his life cut short by a gunman from a street gang trying to prove a point. The Fates took no sides, Nate knew this. Nate thought he knew everything, and the fact was, he probably didn't. But, inside his head, he was sure of himself. It was arrogance, it was ignorance. Nate didn't realize the weight of his words.
"We are demigods," Nate added, "if we want the fates to change something for us, it must be through something great. I have seen them reward men for saving lives when a situation didn't call for it and have them take lives from those trying to save them. If we want their attention and to earn their respect, it would take nothing short of moving Heaven and Earth." At this point, Nate was staring at blank space. He was recalling all the different visions he had. Night terrors, he thought. Death, sometimes slow; life, sometimes short. There was little rhyme or reason to it, but maybe that was because he didn't know how to see it properly. Or maybe, Fate was something too complex for even a demigod to understand.

The campfire wasn't any different than normal to Alex, he was sitting with his other three siblings. It had taken Alex awhile to get use to having new siblings. He leaned back on the stone seats and put his hands behind his head and acted quite relaxed. He had become quite use to the jeering comments about his father and who he was. The same songs hadn't changed for years and in fact, Alex was quite bored of them. He closed his eyes and thought about the latest quest his father sent him on.
He had to retrieve a soul who had somehow evaded being collected by Thanatos. It was a messy job, seeing as the soul decided to suck at his deepest memories. Old ones he never wanted to have surfaced. Thank the Gods that Chiron's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. The campfire was over and campers were heading to their cabins for the night. His dark eyes downcast and he let out a sigh when his name was called. He took swift steps to follow behind the others that Chiron called out.
He felt awestruck at the Centaur's words, he didn't really know what to say. His eyes turned darker than Erebus and his fists clenched. "I wont let this happen, I'll change my destiny even if it takes my death." he said in a serious and chilling voice. He needed to...no he would get to Elysium if it was the last thing he would do. "I think we should work hard to change all of our destinies, I don't think my father would do something like this. There has to be some other reason." he said relaxing himself. His smile played on his face "We are heroes, are we not? We are meant to the impossible." his eyes had a playful hint to them.

Chiron carefully studied the varied reactions of the campers in regards to his dark news. He anticipated a certain lack of cheer at the disheartening revelation, but he didn't exactly anticipate the few shreds of hope and optimism that some of his campers displayed. He listened to everything the demigods said; a few seemed so upset that they simply left the room to go about their business, perhaps at the limit of what they could emotionally handle. Dionysus scoffed aloud audibly, crossing his arms and shaking his head in disdain.
"You know something? You heroes are all the same. I can't tell you how many demigods in the past whined about their fates, and yet they were made into legends--if you buy the hype. I say you just accept your destinies like men and women. Not every tale ends with birds chirping and the sun shining."
"Mr. D, I for one, have a lot of faith in our new heroes. Perhaps you should give these children a chance to prove themselves, before firmly attaching false stereotypes to their chests." Chiron turned from the god back to the divine offspring. If the god of wine had anything snappy to say, he seemed to keep it to himself for the moment, and he resigned himself to exhaling loudly as if being at the meeting was physically painful. "I'm glad to hear that you haven't lost hope because of my visions. Needless to say, I don't think any of you children are guilty. Whatever is in the works here, we will surely unravel this mystery. I fear greater powers are at work here, though what I cannot say. Tomorrow evening, I will see the Oracle and see what she can gleam." Chiron stole a glimpse toward Nate, wondering if it were possible for him to receive such visions of prophecy. The youth seemed neither here nor there, a certain aloofness to his demeanor that slightly concerned the centaur.
Alex and Zeno seemed to be the only ones who were truly optimistic in the face of this unknown threat, and Chiron took note of that. Everyone else was either neutral or depressed in some respect, understandably. Chiron clapped his hands together and smiled in a display of faith. "Well, it is official; I am the bearer of bad news, and for that, I am sorry. But, from here, we can only move forward. There will be plenty of time to dwell on this in the future, for tonight, I ask only that you salvage what rest you can. Tomorrow is another day, and after consulting with our Oracle, I should hope we learn more than what we know now. I bid you all a goodnight, you are dismissed."
Chiron would then proceed to kindly shepherd the demigods from the Big House, along with Dionysus.
"Alright, you heard the stallion. Out with the lot of you! Go on, get!"

A soft knocking would interrupt a conversation between Dionysus and Chiron about the events that had taken place. Chiron answered the door and greeted Momilani kindly. "Hello my dear, how may I help you?"
Adam had been sitting on a stool, sharpening swords and polishing shields for several hours as punishment inside the armory. His reason for being here was that two of the Hermes kids had stolen a certain item from one of the Athens girls and Adam was at the wrong place at the wrong time and was blamed. He didn't really feel any anger at the moment but couldn't help but he did have a thought of bashing the two Hermes and sending them to the bottom of the lake. He finishes polishing the last batch of shields and then throws a Xiphos into a pile. He stretches his body with a sigh of relief, "Alright adam you deserve some damn grub." He walks out of the armory in search of the fat man, aka the wine God. The first time he came to this camp he already disliked the guy but he showed no expression . He heads to the big house and to report back that he had finished cleaning and sharpening every last damn weapon and shield there was. After walking for several minutes he walks up the small stairs and approaches the door with a knock and also hearing voices chatting amongst themselves from inside. "Oh great Dionysus you there?"
Momilani stayed quiet as she heard the echo's of a party inside the house speak to each other, there was no point in rushing things; she knew that eventually she would be able to speak with Chiron. And so she waited calmly, watching the surface of the river nearby as she waited; this put a smile on her face as she always liked being in the water, maybe after this she would go on another run on the water, even if it was getting quite dark. After a little bit, her semi-trance of peacefulness was broken when she heard the distinct sound of someone yelling, she snapped out of it and returned to face the door on which she had just knocked on. Maybe I should come back at a better time?... Momilani thought to herself as it seemed that someone was angry with the people inside and she didn't wanna cause any more problems.
But before she could turn and walk away from the house, she heard someone approach the door and speak to her, greeting her with a kind voice; it was Chiron. She smiled and offered a friendly wave of her hand, producing water droplets that flew in random directions, "Aloha Chiron, I was wondering if you had a moment for us to speak?" asked the surfer girl in a friendly tone and smile.
Zanna Aswerlath
Mood: Tired, Quiet,
Location: Big House -> Back to her House

Zanna remained quiet as the other demigods had chance to respond to the given situation, some sounded like they were completely distraught, some like they were optimistic about the opportunity, and others still that had just completely left, causing her to sigh quietly to herself. She continued to hold her peace as Chiron and Dionysus, or whatever his name was, spoke back and forth to the group, it was kinda hard listening to all the others talk at once, it made it difficult to pinpoint the location of the sound and to hear all the statements; but he tried the best she could. Zanna nodded her head lightly when Chiron dismissed them, I'll be ready whenever you need Chiron" was the response she gave to him, telling him in such simple words that she was on board no matter what, no way would she turn down the quest.
And with that said and done, it was time for them to leave, which put Zanna in a somewhat awkward position. Since she had never really been in the big house, she had no idea of her surroundings or how to exist, and so she had to wait for everyone to leave so she could use the sound to follow her way out; sometimes using one of her older strategies of clicking her tongue lightly to use as a form of Echolocation so she wouldn't bump into anything. rue she might of looked strange at the moments to the others, but she didn't really care, it was better then bumping into something or someone and causing a scene. When she got outside and back to familiar territory, she didn't need to rely on anyone else and could go her own way back to her cabin, "Another lonely night" Zanna stated to herself
Bad visions? We all have to go to the Underworld? "Gods of Olympus. I'm gonna die. No way am either I or my siblings or the Poseidon kids going to get out of this at the very least. Hades is certifiably insane!" Derek grumbled, finding his sleeping bag in the middle of the room next to those of his siblings. Just don't worry about this now, Derek. Come on. You're Zeus' kid, the Prince of the skies, you can do this. "I just hope that centaur is wrong." Derek dove onto his sleeping bag, on his stomach, and it skidded a little ways, but thankfully, it skidded away from the creepy statue of his father. He didn't like how it always felt like he was being watched every time he locked eyes with the depiction. Derek always wondered if his old man really always looked like he was disappointed. "Fine. I trust you, but I just hope you know what you're doing." He turned over, facing the wall, removed the red muscle shirt he wore and Keravnos from his waist and tried to get his mind off of this quest long enough to get some sleep.

I'm dead. I'm dead, I'm dead, I died, I'm dead. Alana rode down from the roof of Mr. D's cabin on a vine that she produced from the ground and entered the cabin, grumbling about this quest. I'm useless in the Underworld. The only plants there are in Persephone's garden, and I don't know if they'll react to me. Alana shook her head in annoyance. "Looks like I'm just gonna use my knife in this fight." Alana removed Gut-Wrenched from her pocket and set it beside her bed as she changed out of her strawberry juice stained t shirt and into a leopard print t shirt and pajama shorts, then climbed into her purple sleeping bag, continuing to snack on her strawberries she picked earlier. "Father, you better not punk me out on this quest." Her heart felt heavy. What if this was a bad idea? What if Persephone's garden didn't work?! She'd have to talk with the wine God in the morning, before she died.

The first thing Agatha do when Chiron dismissed them is opening her book and continue reading. She don't know why, but reading a book always calm her down. Maybe that's because it distract her from the real world problem.
Oliver Twist is a young unlucky lad, who suffered a lot from such a young age. But at least he will get a happy ending in by the end of the book, a happy end to close the story. Agatha is a demigod, moreoever the daughter of Zeus. She haven't met the other gods aside from her father and Dionysus, but Agatha already know that Hera despise her and her half brother. It's weird to know that a Goddness hated you just for being alive.
Agatha arrived in Zeus's Cabin, Cabin One. The door is slightly open, one of her half brother must have returned already. She walked in and close the door behind her. Derek was sleeping in his sleeping bag, so Agatha tried not to wake him up.
She sat on top of her sleeping back, resting her back against the wall and continue reading... But something's keeping her from focusing her mind to read the story.
"Bro, are you still awake?" Agatha called out to Derek, whispered in case he's already asleep. "... Nevermind, i just want to say let's kick some ass in the game tomorrow. Unlike the past years, there is a lot of Big Three children this year. It'll be chaotic as the Battle of Troy."
After being ushered out of the Big house Luna had found her way to Nyx's cabin and had climbed up onto the roof. Laying on her back she contemplated Chiron's words and the different reactions by the camp mates. Most of them had reacted just as she had and didnt seem too optimistic about the future. Being on the roof Luna was finally able to focus on the night sky and find some peace of mind. Lifting her arm up to the sky it appeared to Luna like that the darkness started flowing in and out of her fingers and continued all the way down her arm until dissipating at her shoulder. She started smiling to herself and started debating whether to sleep up on the roof or down in the actual cabin. She was used to sleeping outside so another night such as this wouldnt bother her but she couldnt be sure how others in the camp would feel about it. Luna finally decided that she would sleep outside just this one last time, with everything that had gone on today she doubted she would be able to get any sleep inside anyway so this was the safest bet. Closing her eyes she found solace in that the stars were watching over her and tried to push the negative thoughts from her mind just long enough to get a good nights sleep.
"Aloha Chiron, I was wondering if you had a moment to speak?" Momilani asked.
"Of course," The centaur replied, making his way out of the front door and rolling his wheelchair onto the porch. He folded his hands across his lap and waited for a reply, wondering what was on the girl's mind. From the looks of it, she had just finished going for a swim; one of the strange differences between this daughter of Poseidon and Percy Jackson. When Percy got in water, he never got wet. Either she enjoyed it, or there was something different about her. "I don't believe I saw you at the meeting today, though I recall calling your name." As he sat on the porch, another demigod approached the front door looking perhaps a bit unhappy.
"Oh great Dionysus ae you there?" Adam asked aloud.
The front door came open a few moments later, with Dionysus standing at the doorway. He was sipping a drink from a wine glass, but it's contents were a mystery.
"Ah, why if it isn't Aden Park, the troublemaker. What is it kid, what do you want?"
Opening the door into the Great hall and his mood somewhat got worse. Hearing his name get pronounced wrong even though it was a four letter name kind of ticked adam off, but there was the fact that he had only been in this camp for a month now. However he didn't want to upset the wine dude with any attitudes and wasn't sure if he was pronouncing his name wrong on purpose. "Yeah I just finished cleaning up the equipment, So I was wondering if I can go eat now?" As he adressed to Dionysus he noticed another person in the room, a girl that seemed to be around his age and quite the beuty. He gives a somewhat nod of her presence to her and then folds his arms back to the direction of the Wine god. With his eye raised in curiosity.
