Ψ Plot Ψ

It's been a few years since the war. Since Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter rose together to defeat Gaia, in a rugged battle that ended with a mass loss of lives on both ends. From then on, both camps set out to reconstruct what remained of each haven for their kind. This included building more cabins and shrines for Minor Gods that helped with the defeat of Gaia. Four long and messy years later, Camp is finally starting to look up again; with the gods starting to claim again, more children are appearing outside the camp borders almost daily. With that, Chiron had set up a border patrol with many of the Veterans that haven't yet become too old to remain at the camp. Others, like the infamous Perseus Jackson and the other six, had moved on to settle down in Camp Jupiter and search for a normal life. The new children of this era, mixed in with some Veterans of the war, try to find their place among each other. And with the potential of a new prophecy rising, the demigods home may be under threat of a new danger.

I understand how appealing it is to be a child of the Big Three, but there are many other God/Goddess's that have extraordinary powers and traits that many also match your character. I'll put a list of ALL the cabins below. This being said you can be a Big Three child, but it won't be a fun roleplay if everyone is.

Powers:
Vitakinesis - By singing a hymn to her father Alina is able to heal wounds. How fast the wounds heal depends on the type. For example, a small cuts or stabs is easy for her to handle without any drawback. However, life-threatening wounds take more time and energy, it can be fatal as well. She can’t regrow any missing limbs.

Audiokinesis - Alina has the ability to manipulate music and sound waves. She mimic, intensify, hush, and distort, as well warp, strengthen, echo, speed up, and slow down sound. Alina often uses this ability in the form of a high pitched whistling sound that causes an intense headache to those who hear it or in the form of sonic waves that she can physically release from her body.

Rhyming Curse - Alina can curse others to only speak in rhyming couplets. The time length of the curse depends on how much power she puts into it. The longest her curse has lasted about a week.

Minor Photokinesis - Alina can only turn herself invisible. She can stay invisible for about fifteen minutes before it becomes too much and she has to return to normal.

Strengths:
Athletic - Alina has a vast history in sports ranging from cheerleading to basketball. Because of this she has a great amount of muscle and stamina.

Ranged Weapons - As a daughter of Apollo Alina is an expert archer. She is also talented when handling other ranged weapons.

Observant - Alina has a skill of noticing things that most people don’t. She’s excellent when it comes to reading people and situations.

The Arts - Alina is a skilled musician and artist. No matter the instrument or art form Alina excels in it. Though she prefers singing and writing poetry.

Weakness:
Hand to hand combat - While she has been trained to fight Alina prefers to use her weapons. Because of this she is not that skilled in hand to hand fighting.

Sensitive - Alina is someone who doesn’t take criticism well. This usually leads to her doubting herself and making mistakes at the worst times.

Darkness - Alina has a terrible fear of the dark. When surrounded by complete darkness she feels as if she’s suffocating and gets the chills.

As clichiè as it sounds Alina can be described as a literal ray of sunshine. She is an outgoing young woman who always seems to have a smile on her face and bright eyes. Alina is a lover of the arts, from music, painting, and theatre she loves them all. A little on the shy side it takes some time for Alina to warm up to others. Once she is used to you a different part of her comes to light. She’s affectionate and at times invade others personal space without realizing it. Alina is a loyal person who would do anything for those that she cares about. She’s someone who loves to laugh and entertain. Alina has a talent when it comes to cheering others up. Alina is someone who doesn’t take criticism well. She can be described as a perfectionist.

Brief Bio:
Alina was born in Marseille, France. A place known for its sunshine. She grew up in a single parent home with her mother, a well known poet and artist. Alina grew up in a loving and carefree house hold. Her mother being the laid back type, she was someone who loved spending time with her daughter and letting her express herself. The topic of her father was never that important to her, of course she’d asked and her mother had been completely honest.

The two of them had met in an art galary and had hit it off right away. It was not love that they had between them but they cared for one another or rather that’s what her mother thought before he up and left. Alina had no desire to meet the man that had abandoned them but little did she know that she’d have too.

Like many demigod children when her powers emerged the monsters arrived. Alina’s mother ended up getting hurt trying to protect her, luckily a centaur who’d been disguised as a family friend helped them. From then on Alina was introduced to a whole new world. In the beginning in was difficult for her to adjust as she wanted nothing to do with her father and anything relating to him. Eventually Alina was able to open up and accept that part of herself, gaining friends and family along the way.

• Aerokinesis: The Ability to Manipulate Air
  • Similar to telekinesis, Jackson can use the air around him to lift and use objects with his mind, although the larger the object the more effort and energy he has to put into moving it. He can’t move animated objects, but he can put a level of resistance against them that can slow them down.
  • Unlike his Roman half-brother Jason, Jackson can’t fly. He’s tried, but no matter how much he focuses on how much energy he exerts, he can only jump great distances. (This is the one ability he has that he has never found a drawback too, other than situational problems)
• Electrokinesis: The Ability to Control Electricity
  • Jackson can withstand almost any electric shock he receives.
  • Jackson also gives a minor shock to people he touches.
  • In extreme circumstances, Jackson can call down a bolt of lightning from the sky to strike an enemy. This is a last-ditch effort as doing so will cause him a significant amount of pain and if wounded enough could kill him as it takes almost all of his power to do so. He will most likely pass out and be useless afterward.
• Atmokinesis: The Ability to Control the Weather
  • More of a party trick, he can create little clouds in various states.

Strengths:

• From the start of his time at Camp Half-Blood, Jackson has been focused on training with Swords, Daggers, and Spears, making him an excellent and talented warrior.
• Linguist: Outside of Greek and English, Jackson has used a lot of his free time to learn other languages in order to become a better communicator and to improve his leadership capabilities.
• Much like his father Jackson has shown to be a very capable entertainer, he can sing (Not nearly to the level of a Child of Apollo) and dance, even take and learn a new skill relatively quickly.
• As most demigods are he is naturally more durable and faster.

Weakness:

• Much like any child of a god, there is a certain amount of control that comes from his own control over his emotions.
• Because of Jackson’s focus on combat weapons, he has neglected both hands to hand combat and ranged combat, while he can manage, he just not good at either discipline.
• Jackson is a very brash individual as well as outspoken and often say things before he speaks, which can get him in a lot of trouble.

Weapon: Jackson’s main weapon is a celestial bronze short-sword that when not in use is a Lightning bolt shaped charm on his camp half-blood necklace, he also wears a bracelet forged from one of the grips of an old lightning bolt of his fathers that turns into a celestial bronze short sword that crackles with electricity.

When Jackson is stressed or overwhelm he chews on this inside of his cheek, most of the time he catches it and stops but he has also caused his cheek to bleed.

Brief Bio:
Jackson grew up in a small town in northern New Hampshire, his mother is a Pediatrician and his father (well step-father) was a general contractor and owned his own construction business. His childhood wasn’t all that great though, he had a younger sister, who died at a young age due to health complication and it sort of sent his father into a downward spiral, he was a heavy alcoholic, but thankfully he never turned abusive. It put a lot of strain on his parent’s relationship, and they constantly fought and his father would leave for the night and often not come back till the end of the next day. But she never left him.

It wasn’t till she brought Jackson, turned eleven that he and his mother drove down to New York that she told them they were getting divorced and she would be moving to the city. This is when she brought him to Camp Half-Blood and told him about his real lineage, although she didn’t even know his real father was Zeus, just that he was a powerful god who told her to bring Jackson here when he was old enough. Now Jackson spends almost all his time at Camp Half-Blood making frequent trips into the city to spend time with his mom.

Dream Walking - Jeremy is able to lucid dream and also enter the dreams of anyone that's asleep within a certain distance of him. He can merely observe the dream without the person knowing he's there or he can alter the dream in any way. The more he alters a dream the more someone will become aware they are dreaming and will eventually wake up. Can also influence dreams and bring out distant memories.

Hypnosis - The son of Hypnos is able to lull people to sleep. The duration and depth of their sleep depend on their own mental strength and what they are doing at the time. It is significantly harder to cause someone to sleep in the middle of a battle, for instance. The power also weakens the more people are under his spell. Too much use of the power requires him to sleep it off.

Mental Strength - Jeremy spends the vast majority of his time in his own mind. It is incredibly difficult for him to fall prey to an attack or charm on his mind and he is very aware of it the few times it happens.

Jeremy's mother is a sleep scientist. Her father, Jeremy's grandfather had struggled with sleep apnea his whole life. Hypnos was attracted to her devotion to his domain and they had a child together. The signs began showing incredibly quickly. Even for a baby Jeremy slept way too much. His mother started noticing that she would dream of her child all the time and it felt so real. Turns out the dreams were real and her son was forcing himself into them. From that point Jeremy never really left home. After the wars and a cabin was erected for Hypnos Jeremy was sent off and has lived there since.​

Brief Bio:
Wallis Potters had been studying the effects of climate change on ocean life when he met his first love. They did not last longer than a year, but he would later reminisce about it being his most productive year of all. She had taken an interest in him due to his devotion to marine life and helped him develop more effective means of tracking species migration. The last time he saw her was when she left their son with him.

Lyric grew up practically aquatic. He was constantly around marine life in the wild and in the aquarium his father worked at. It was no surprise when he won his division championship for freestyle swimming at age 8. Around that time, Wallis got married to a perky young man who Lyric affectionately referred to as 'Pa'.

For some time, Lyric's teachers were very concerned by his lack of response to their lessons and told his fathers they were concerned he may have a developmental delay. The doctor's determined that he simply could not focus to the point of zoning out and diagnosed him with ADHD. Wallis called the school and set it up so that Lyric could have some fidget toys to mess with in class. At that time he was doing extraordinarily well for a 14 year old. We all know that never ends well. The first monster attack was written off as a freak accident with a stray dog despite Lyric's insistence that it was a demon. His fathers were concerned for his mental health as he continued to talk about the demons that followed him around whenever he left home. It was a Thursday when his Pa caught sight of what had been attacking Lyric. He too was very alarmed to find that it was in fact a demon, or at least something that resembled that. He hit the thing with a stick and tried to protect his adopted son, but it became too much for them both especially since Lyric refused to attack them despite the damage they did to him. His satyr came just in time to save them both and Lyric was off to camp. He cut his hair for the occasion and lost his iconic ponytail.

Powers:
Forge Fiend: Daea is a remarkable craftswoman, she is capable of making weapons, armor and equipment that can stand up to any mortal encounter. While she can not make advanced machinery in time she may be able to create weapons and armor imbued with special properties and godly charms.

Volcanism: Daea is capable of turning almost any material into molten lava through touch. In doing so she is inherently resistant to fire, able to shape, mold and forge items simply by using her hands if a forge is not present. She is currently unable to use this ability beyond physical contact. In time she may be able to control the fluid nature and melting speed of slagged objects as well as direct it through sight.

Strengths:
An eye for fine detail: Imperfections are rarely found on objects she has poured her heart into, she holds herself to a high regard and a broken weapon is a slight against herself.
Sharp as a Knife: While not physically strong she is sharp as a sword and has a clever nature to herself that must be brought into account when making deals with her, for one may not always come out on top of a transaction.
Heart of a Salamander: Daea is inherently resistant to extreme heat, able to shape molten materials by hand. She also uses this to help keep herself from getting sick, keeping temperatures around her above natural body temp.

Has nearly drowned twice in her life. Once while at the beach and another when she fell through the ice after her feet melted a hole.
Can suffer from severe bouts of depression and mania, she can beat herself up over it especially when she should be doing something important. While on the opposite side of the spectrum she is capable of working herself into the ground or making terrible decisions thinking she can handle things.
Brief Bio:
Born to a mother incapable of caring for her Daea was put into foster care at the age of 6. Having bounced around from one foster care to another she finally was welcomed into a family that for once, openly cared for her rather than use her as a means of getting an extra income. Being raised in this household introduced an already interested Daea to the art of metal working, her foster father having been making chain mail for a local festival. Taking to this art rather quickly she was soon helping her father make the suits, her natural skill beginning to flow out. Her unique qualities however showed one afternoon when she gripped a red hot bar of Iron to keep it from falling onto her fathers foot. The sudden shock of what happened caused her to drop it, her father rushing to her side only to find that her hand wasn't burned or even red from the heat. The sudden 'miracle' as her father called it began to turn into a nightmare.

The sudden attention being given to her by her foster parents began to turn into loathing and questioning as to what she was. Hypnosis- Generally, hypnosis is thought to ease the mind into subconsciousness, allowing the hypnotized to be present, and yet, not at all. On top of that, those who hypnotize will then be able to guide and/or use (depending on the being’s intentions) to fulfill their wishes. Maggie can only do one of those things, and sadly, it’s only the former half. Able to lull those into transient tranquility, but unable to do anything with their minds, I suppose it’ll come in handy one day.

Dream manipulation- Now, those who have the ability to manipulate dreams can often mold, enter or suddenly change the course in which it takes (often becoming a nightmare). But for now, all that Maggie can do is enter them- and not for long, for, she is quite the clumsy one with her powers and in being so, alerts others even in attempting to be sly.

Through My Eyes: Sometimes people forget that Aphrodite controls beauty as well as love. And everyone is beautiful to someone. With a touch, Hollis can allow a person to see themself the way somebody who loves them sees them, allowing them to glimpse how beautiful they are through that loved one's eyes.

The Way I See It: Aphrodite has the ability to cause a fighting couple to fall back in love. Hollis, by touching two people who are arguing (a hand on each shoulder, nothing major), can force the two to rewatch the same argument they just had from the other person's perspective, helping them to see both sides and come to an agreement without the miscommunications and assumptions that so often drive people apart.

Strengths: Compassionate, a good listener, gives great relationship advice, charismatic, gives people chances, always willing to find a peaceful solution and/or see the best in people and things.

Weaknesses: Naive, daydreamer, useless in a fight, gets his heart broken easily, easy to manipulate

Positive/Negative Traits: Kind, dreamer, a good friend, loyal, has his head in the clouds most of the time. Soft spoken, patient, romantic. Unassuming. Doesn't think much before he acts. Pacifist.

Habits/Quirks: He's a compulsive doodler, often drawing little sketches of the people around him. He puts a lot of time into his outfits, trying to make the orange tee shirt look as classy as possible with scarves, cardigan sweaters, etc.. He journals and presses flowers into the pages.

Brief Bio: Hollis grew up in an environment with very strict gender roles. He was yelled at a lot, as a kid, for being "too soft." He realized he had crushes on boys rather than girls when he maybe nine years old, and remembers feeling very different and isolated and scared. He knew that if his dad and his dad's girlfriend were to find out, he'd be on his own, or worse. He heard the way people talked about gay people, about feminine boys. So Hollis grew more soft spoken and reserved, trying to get by through blending into the background. He made himself small for somebody else's convenience.

Then, the monsters started showing up, and Hollis had an excuse to run. He found himself running with a small group of other kids, and eventually, they made it to Camp Halfblood. He was claimed almost instantly, and it amazed how much of his mother had rubbed off on him, given that he'd never met her. His first few years at CHB were rough. He got into a relationship with a seventeen year old boy, as like, a thirteen year old, and that was... not a good choice. The relationship turned pretty abusive pretty fast, and the boy played off of Hollis' kind, forgiving, nature to keep him trapped. Again, there were very strict rules for who and what Hollis was allowed to be. Again, he make himself small. Eventually, he got himself out.

He blossomed, after that, getting into fashion and art and really embracing his sexuality and identity as a gay man. He feels very much at home at CHB, and he is proud to be somebody that people can come to for advice or just to chat. He's genuinely popular, simply because he takes the time to get to know so many people, and has a real knack for making people feel appreciated and heard.
