To her this was the only thing that mattered. Always looking for that next hit that momentary moment of....pure bliss. It was incredible and it controlled every part of her. It wasn't always this bad you know? At first all she did was smoke a little weed maybe drink a bit, but soon she realized that wasn't enough. She needed more she needed something she need to be numb. To escape the reality that constantly haunted her. Her childhood wasn't the greatest and could probably be the cause for all this toxic inside of her.
When she was real young her parents died in a violent car crash , having no other options she was forced to live with her wicked uncle. He treated her like a slave forcing her to cook and clean. He beat her but worst of all he would rape her almost every week until she was old enough to leave to run away and never look back. And that's exactly what she did. She ran all the way across the country to California.
At first everything really did seem much better, she was starting to get her life in order starting to forget. But she could never really forget could she? It haunted her keeping her awake night after night tormenting her. No, her only escape was that momentary blissful world. Currently she's addicted to coke, and ecstasy, but she uses weed for the come down, though she never really stays down for long.
She was 22 whe she met him, boy how he changed her life. She actually had a reason to want to wake up in the morning and every night she could almost find peace in his arms....almost. He was everything she had ever dreamed from when she was a child, strong, yet gentle, smart, yet fun. He took care of her and always cleaned her up and brought her back when she went to far. He cared, and he married her. Though lately it's been getting worse. Sometimes he just can't find her, somerimes she just can't find herself.
Today seemed to be one of thoose days. Demi sat on the floor in the middle of their living room with a blunt between her fingers. She flicked it into the ash tray before taking another hit. She set the blunt down then leaned forward, in front of her lay a tray full of cocaine, she snorted a big line, before standing up and hiding the tray away. She sat back down and stared at the door anxiously, he should be home any minute now. And he would know, he always knew. She picked the blunt back up and pressed it between her lips inhaling the sweet smoke deeply.
