Crowhaven has some of the most advanced medicines in the world. It's one of the perks of almost the entire population being intricately familiar with the human body. There's never been a sickness that can't be cured by magic or healing.

Sickness of the mind however, is rather more of a problem. What with a lot of people being kinda crazy.

Surprising no one, living under a harsh regime that thinks murder is the solution to every problem, and in which the dead actively parade in the streets daily is not good for one's mental health. Who would've known?

Harsh but necessary. All practice of Dark Magic leads to a thirst for more power and madness eventually. Best way to stop everyone turning on each other is to be so strong they wouldn't even dream of trying.

Ulfric's ideology keeps the others in check. Outside of the occasional backstab in the dark, but that's the Hollowvale equivalent of "Banter"

Also too much light magic usually results in a "The unclean must be purged" ideology so honestly it's not much better.

High level magic messes with your head.

Also, what the hell. I thought nobody was talking in OOC because I got no notifications but when I came back it's already at page 34.

Sure would be a shame if the one so strong he keeps everyone in check died and the realm erupted into a horrible civil war.

Fs in the chat, baby.

Sometimes I get no notifications after a while. I really wish it was more consistent.

I'm sure this might have been explained in one of the posts somewhere and I just missed it, but why exactly are Asherah and Seldanna disguising themselves as maids again?

Is Lucrezia also disguised as a maid?

So no one knows which of the several dozen maids are actually the fantasy Terminators.

Keeps visitors on their toes.

Is this something they're doing because they were ordered to from higher up, or have all the dark maidens decided for themselves this is just the best way to keep the guests from causing trouble?

Probably a group decision I imagine

So if one of the dark maidens decided they didn't want to appear as a maid and just showed up as themselves normally, that would be fine?

Violet (Eats people) and Sever (Always asleep) are both so monumentally poor at it that they're exempt I imagine

Well, what I mean is, if this is a decision the dark maidens came to as a group rather than a binding order from somewhere else, if one of them--the nonexempt one's, that is-- didn't like the idea, would they be obligated to do it anyway or could they do as they pleased?

Uhhh, Lucrezia and Ulfric I guess?

I don't know I just thought it was neat if they were maids ahaha

Sever and Violet get away with it because they're just shit at it - if they were capable they would do as they were told I think
