1x1 between QueenCupCake and recreational

Dragged out of harsh lives and bitter relationships, two girls are tossed into an asylum so that they might be "cured". In truth, no one wants to deal with them anymore, and so they're labelled as insane and sent off so that someone else can deal with their difficult personalities.

While this may seem like the end of the line for the two, perhaps being institutionalized could wind up being a blessing in disguise.

Ellie Lackland

17 years old // Pisces // Black hair // Brown eyes // 5"4 // 115 pds

Ellie just happened to be born to a couple of drug addicts right before they made it big. Unfortunately for her, her mother didn't wait around long enough to see it happen. The woman left Ellie in her father's care almost before she was out of the womb, and disappeared into the sandy beaches of Florida. Ellie's dad, Jason, is hardly a fit parent, but he made an effort before people started recognizing him on the street. Since then however, and to this day he started leaving the parenting to whoever he could leave her with while he went on with his own life.

{this is just the childhood part of her story, I might write out the rest, or I may just figure it out as I go owo}

Ellie sat and waited for the doctor to walk through the door, just like she had been instructed. There was still no sign of anyone coming through the metal door though, and her anticipation just kept building. One of her dad's groupies had brought her in her awhile ago, maybe half an hour, but she couldn't be sure because there were no clocks in the small room, and they'd taken her cell phone. She glanced around again, although she felt like she already had the space memorized. There was a tinted glass window to her right, with a fine metal mesh running over it. So she couldn't break through? Hah. From what she could make out, the only thing on the other side of that glass was a room exactly like the one she was sitting in. Besides, she wasn't the violent type. Well, not the outwardly violent type.

Sarah, or Sasha, or whatever the infernal woman's name was who'd brought her here, insisted that she was "reckless and dangerous", and "wasn't fit to walk among the general population". Ellie'd wanted to slap the curvy woman's face, but considering they'd been standing in front of the asylum's secretary at the time, she'd decided it would be better to channel her anger by plotting revenge.

Sighing, the slim girl leaned against the back of the hard plastic chair that she sat on. How much longer would she have to wait?

{just kinda winging the beginning cx}

Lola was being brought in by two of the "doctors" and they threw her down in the chair. She grunted in pain and looked at them. "I don't belong here!" She told them yet again. "Right.. it's okay just sit here and calm down, hey talk to her" they aid pointing at ellie. "You two seem like you will be friends" they said, laughing and walking out. She crossed her arms and leaned her head against the back of the chair that she was sitting in next to ellie. Exhausted from fighting back, she had very little strength. "I don't belong here" she told the girl next to her, quietly. anyone with half a brain could see what this girl was doing to herself.

Ellie was surprised when they brought the other girl in, but she didn't let it show on her face. Was it safe to put two "crazy" people in the same place so soon? Whatever, she thought. They made the rules around here, she wasn't one to question them. At least, not when they brought her some sort of break from the monotonous time she'd been having.

She slid her eyes over to the tiny girl they'd brought in. Ellie herself was slim, but not as thin as this girl. It was surprising that she'd been able to put up such a fight.

"Neither do I." she whispered, her black-colored lips barely moving. She wasn't crazy. At least, probably not. She did crazy drugs and partied and broke down sometimes, but that wasn't her fault. It was the life she'd been born into.

Of course, this girl might actually belong here. She looked like she might need some help. An urge struck Ellie, and the girl had a habit of being spontaneous, so she acted on it and reached out to wrap her fingers around the girl's wrist. Ellie's hands were small, but her middle finger and thumb still touched each other. Glancing for a moment at Lola's face, she dropped her wrist and turned back to stare straight ahead.

"What the hell are you doing?!" The girl asked, jerking her wrist away. " I know what it looks like... but I'm not crazy, I don't belong in a nut house.. I just.. want to be thin" she said, keeping her eyes on the floor and away from the girl. "Don't judge me either" she said rather harshly, she wasn't very good at making friends, especially since she was constantly hungry, it was just yet another road block in her way to a happy life

A smile grew on a Ellie's lips, and just a bit of cruelty shadowed her face. She held up her own hand in front of her face, fingers stretched wide. Her brown eyes slid over to the girl again. "You know, there are drugs for that. Powders and potions that'll keep you thin." She flexed her fingers and her joints popped audibly. "They're not too good for you, though." Ellie would know. She'd never cared too much about her weight, but with how often she ended up strung out with her father, she'd pretty much stayed underweight her entire life. This girl though, she was sick. Ellie could see it on her face, just like she could see it on her own.

Turning in her chair, she faced the girl. She tucked her feet underneath her, leaving her chunky shoes on the floor. "Hi, by the way. My name's Ellie."

Lola rolled her eyes to the first comment. "I don't like powders and the like.. I like being able to tell myself no, j like the fact that I have more will power than 95% of america, I know how it sounds, but don't get the wrong idea" she said and finally looked at her when the girl introduced herself. 'Be nice lola, this girl is nice, just be a decent human being for once' she thought to herself. "Hey.. I'm lola" she said softly, staring at a wall in front of her. "Why the hell are we in here? Are we waiting for something to happen?"

Ellie tapped a black fingernail against her face, smiling sadly. "I'm not sure. I think I've been here for awhile, someone's bound to come in and cart us away eventually." She shrugged, as if it didn't matter, as if she was comfortable here. She was not, however. She was starting to feel an itch beneath her skin, begging for open air and color. The walls of this place were painfully bare, and she'd grown up around live music and "cozy" decor. The clinical bareness was irritating.

She dragged a quick breath through her lips, trying to fight the sensation off. If she really was going to be stuck here, she'd have to get used to it. Her dad would could for her eventually, she had no doubt, but he was off somewhere at the moment, doing things that could probably end him up locked up just like his daughter if he got caught. "Who brought you here?" she asked, her voice light. No one would come here of their own accord, probably, so someone had to have dragged this girl here as well.
