also norway with vinh i kind of have been thinking of him as like... because of his mom working as a medium and having him come into contact with spirits (which i'm assuming are some sort of canon here?) that vinh has like......... v..... vague..... weaksauce....... sometimes misguided Precognitive Feelings. i only hinted at in the cs but didnt delve much into how hes really fucking superstitious. but like usually its just like some most-irrelevant-in-presentation nightmare and general Bad Vibes for the day. lmk if that's too much though? and i can just make him 100% superstitious everything-in-his-head type deal

Which region is the story taking place in? norway Never mind I see that it's in Kanto...(and I read the plot like twice...why brain why...) Well other than that I do have another question; what is class referring to? Is it pretty much the occupation of our characters?

ahhhh imhereimhereimhere! hihihi everyone and i'm so sorry im late to the party! i've managed to read through everyone's messages wow there were a lot of them and i have to say I'm super excited about all of this! I have a few ideas/questions I'd like to contribute.

- the plot so far sounds awesome! just to be sure, we are going with rocket as big bad government/smaller organisation wreaking havoc as well?

- if so, how would pokemon normally be treated? are they on the sentience level of animals, often bred/captured humanely (probs not so humanely with team rocket around) or are they sapient with languages & reasoning abilities?

- technology? Pokemon tech is pretty advanced, but would there be regulations around who gets access or can anyone stroll into a mart and buy half a dozen pokeballs? im not sure if this seems a tad dystopian but then again you don't have access to all technology in the real world either i guess.

And i think that's it! I hope the questions were decently coherent to you guys rather than just someone who is just barely kept alive via far too much caffeine and sugar! i have a few ideas for characters already, but it might take a while for me to get around to posting it.

Life. i believe class is referring to something akin to trainer class, like youngster, ace trainer, etc. i personally looked up a bunch of them on bulbapedia and tried to see what thing was closest to fitting my people and improvise if not. i think its just kind of a canon or madeup classification based off of occupation, lifestyle, trainer style, trainer focus . .... .. stuff like that shrug emoji!

but as for the code, i focused on this part

then for adjusting the image, i changed background-size and the % of background-position. usually doing a smaller #px to shrink the image down to fit into the window better. the first 20% is kind of how far right the window is shifted, and 13% is how far down. so for example if you changed it to 50% 50%, the top left corner of the image window would start with the middle of the picture aka ur background. does that make sense?????????

Hello peeps!

I'm still getting a character together btw but I am curious... What happened to the old gym leaders? Did they get their titles stripped away? Locked up? I can't seem to recall...

Are we sticking with only canon gym leaders and champions is another question.

class just means trainer class. Coordinator, gym trainer, ace, etc. If you don't have anything just put trainer. Sorry about the lack of mobile friendly coding, however don't even worry about the code and this can be said for @ everyone if you can't figure out the code just send me your character sheet filled out and I will edit in the code. Don't let it daunt you. Pine p much answered everything shout out to the only weirdo that seems to be on the same fucked up page as me, sorry guys for not being more clear.​

Vesuvius answering your questions:

1. yes to both the rockets being the big baddies in charge and then there will be a smaller organization who is also not good, but not quite as evil as the rockets. Everyone's welcome to get their sheets up now, but in terms of this smaller organization we still have things to discuss OR we can just have the Rockets and not include another organization which honestly sounds a lot more simple. But its up to the group as a whole to decide. there will be gangs of all kinds, top side and underground, just like we saw in Saffron in the games, etc. as well.

2. How pokemon are treated is entirely dependent upon the species in question as well as the human judging them. pokemon are used in everything, production, sports, etc. some people may see them as just batteries and fork lifts, while another finds them to be beautiful contest worthy pets, and yet still others see them as families and scientists would likely view them as intelligent but not always giving them respect. So it's a super diverse perspective. but with the Rockets, pokemon are valued goods, and power sources, that's about it. some might care for their pokemon, not all of them are chaotic bad but non of them can be considered good unless you want a character that switches sides like RingSlinger and Life. had in mind.

3. before the rockets took over, yeah you could walk into a pokemart and purchase whatever you have a wallet for, like variously strong poke balls. but right now prices are inflated like mad, and trainers are mugged before they can even get going, not to mention the professors have either fled, shut everything down or gone missing, so there's no one to grant official licenses to anymore. so tech is available but for an arm and a leg, or I'm thinking of incorporating opportunities to find rarities like we do in game, perhaps raiding rocket warehouses or going through abandoned homes.

(luck will likely be dice based) Would anyone be interested in incorporating some sort of side quests? I'm thinking raids on bad guy warehouses/establishments to get items to proceed in game play and also shut down sources of the Rocket's power/expand resistance territory. Also, rescue missions, to break certain canon characters of influence out of jail/wherever, and perhaps even recruitment missions to get some professors/gym leaders/leaguers on their side and out of hiding. Perhaps it can also be a thing that we are trying to find the league champions, like Lance and Red, who have completely vanished but we require their strength desperately? Would anyone be interested in using quests like these to keep the story interesting??​

only canon gym leaders and champions, yes. Like the scientists/professors, gym leaders have either fled the country, shut down, gone missing or joined the resistance. Who exactly has joined the resistance is up or debate, I still like Pine 's idea of having Lt Surge running things with his military experience, bringing in recruits and keeping things under lock, perhaps with the help of someone a little more shady, like Gimsley my husband.​

we all have a lot to discuss still. remember i explained this would be a slow process as aside from everyone having lives, this rp does require some extent of detailing. If you feel confused or your character has some gaps, that is okay! we are still fleshing things out. I'm writing down the major points and when we feel like we have enough ends tied I will go ahead and post what we have in the first post of the OOC so everyone can read and be grounded in what we are doing. do not stress. but thanks everyonefor showing investment and being patient. my health is rocky but i am perfectly capable of running this just albeit a bit slowly.

I'll be NPC'ing Surge, his self proclaimed assistant and first recruit, and then some wayfarer. I'm going to have it that the resistance operates from somewhere -- oh! what if their hideout was the abandoned power plant just outside of lavender town? is that too obvious? that place where you catch zapdos in red, green, blue. thoughts? all suggestions for the resistance base are welcome -- they could also have fortified the tunnels going under saffron, but I would say that's already taken by the rockets as it was theirs before.

I like that, Blaine being incognito on the island means he could also be aiding the resistance.
