i still like the idea of the second organization! like for the sake of starting things off simply, we possibly could just slowly implement them. but itd be fun to have them because they could be there to sometimes ally with during times of mutual interest v rockets or otherwise?? though im wondering if we could make rockets/the other organization as playable characters? because i would definitely make a character for both organizations IF everyone is okay with like... me not using every character equally LMFAO. like i know there are some people that dont like people making multiple characters and not using them in equal amounts. if thats the case then i'll just stick to two LOOOOOOOL
the idea of side quests interest me kind of? it might depend on how many characters we ultimately have, but i definitely think its a cool possibility. personally!! i'd like to avoid making this rpg-y. maybe its because it reminds me too much of people who view character success/power > character development/story, but when things get Too organized with like... mission boards and stuff, i just find it off-putting. i'd like it very much though if theyre kind of like... still relevant to story progression/more improvised kind of thing, if that makes sense? that's just me tho because ive never Really done any sort of dice thing before LMFAO
as for lt. surge as the leader of the resistance, im not voting in the poll because to me its kind of like... it'd probably be best if

rps the resistance leader, so i'd just leave it as whether you want to rp surge for that or have some oc. LMFAO like i'm good either way but it should probably be you who does it for obvious reasons.
lmfao i forgot about gen 2!cinnabar. i think it would be good if i guess they built it underground?? like its v secluded but they wouldnt be able to get supplies as easily, maybe unless they have some sort of submarine tech? i think the power plant isnt Too obvious though the possibility of them being discovered is really Real (which isn't a bad thing imo!) potentially we start out in the power plant and at one point get discovered and have to move to cinnabar
! and then have that #Struggle of having like 0 supplies. then our characters die of starvation that its thats the game cue music roll credits gg no re

no mission biards or stats I hate that shit. Bur side quests that are entirely centric on story and character development might help us keep this moving along. Because it will eventually come to an end. Too little or too much structure kills a story so Im just trying to find balance.
I like your idea on transitioning. Perhaps they are at the power plant for a while and... What if they get attacked? And the power plant is destroyed? Very realistic possibility. And then Blaine offers refuge somewhere else. Eh. We'll wing it.
So yeah. This weekend I'll have things up. And then I'll be super all over the place with acitivty so Im only asking everyone post minimum once a week with reasonable exceptions.

before i get Too deep in my bullshit, i was wondering how open finn would be about his past with team rocket? i'm guessing someone in the resistance was bound to find out since he was such a big name in rocket propaganda to begin with and all the videos (destroyed or not), but would he be too ashamed to ever talk about that period of his life? or would he be more of using his knowledge ????/

Oh he'd be very open about it. He's gonna use his former place in the company for as much leverage against as many sides as he can. His whole thing is being super charismatic and very utilitarian.

so for vinh, i think it would depend on how long theyve been together in the organization, but at least to start, vinh wouldn't trust him, and he'd probably let him know that in some super bitchy way. vinh has a tendency to think in black and white, so he has a very negative outlook/distrust of anyone that would ever voluntarily join what he sees as a borderline and/or Actual terrorist organization.
that being said, since finn would be using what he learned for their benefit, i think he'd come around to no longer being able to deny that finn is very genuine with his efforts. vinh still might not be anywhere near as close as he might be with the others though, mostly because he still fundamentally disagrees with finn's ideology. vinh is really kind of... traditional? and he doesnt see any need to reform the old league system and just wants to return to that (+ he might think any sort of ex-rocket spearheading any sort of major reform would be dangerous, less at that point about finn's intentions but more that he's "young" and has been influenced by an organization in the past). i could see their relationship being rocky, and at least one side of them (vinh) butting heads half the time. (it's 99% just because vinh is kind of an ass tho tbh.)
and for orval, he would try not to show it, but he would be wary around finn. i picture him as being a lot newer to the organization, but even if he had spent more time with them and if finn tried to appeal to him more, i dont think this would really change. this has a lot to do with his own history. but orval acts super goofy/doesnt take things seriously 99% of the time, even (or especially) around people that he's being cautious with, so him being wary might just look more like that he has v few uh... weird moments around them? and even more than that would just try to avoid them as much as he can (without making it too obvious that he's avoiding them). he probably just clings to other people as an excuse lmao.
when i talked to lifenovel i had been wondering if he (and veena?) had ever been particularly active in the saffron-celadon area because we might be able to collab on something with that but ehhhhhhhhh. since u guys are already doing A Thing that probably isnt needed + the more i think about it the more i think it wouldnt work out anyway ? it's all good tho ??

Yes I love all of that. I think Finn is going to see someone who doesn't trust him as a challenge to his own charisma, and like most hyper-charismatic people he'll want nothing more than to win them over. That being said, being a zealot and an evangelist means he'll be spouting off on talking points ALL OF THE TIME.

Oh also for what it's worth, Finn is fairly obfuscatory with strictly defining his orientation, but it's going to feel vaguely like he's flirting with every single person in the world because he's literally flirting with every single person in the world.
