Feeling a bit lonely and depressed from being corrected from the guard as a reminder of the times now she looks down a bit and nods slowly in understanding the new rules and what is going on. The girl wraps her arms around the guard's arm and rests her head on the guard's shoulder, wanting to have a connection with some others or to play at the very least she then says " can you at least escort me to the location I need to go then? I get lost very easily~" part of that was true but mostly she wanted attention and a guarded way to the next location for fun.

Zezzanth (NPC Guard)
Location: Grounds
Zezzanth didn't move as the prisoner put her arms around one of the guard's own arms and asked if Zezzanth could escort 101 to where she was supposed to go, Zezzanth nodded. "I'd be glad to do so," she said. Zezzanth was an odd guard, having taken the job for fun and the money. She'd been here for quite some time though had developed a soft spot for the children and the females...the men she didn't really care for. Unlike most who turned their eyes away, Zezzanth knew what went on...some of the female guards went through it as well though not as much as the inmates. She enjoyed being on the adolescent wing...so much fun and innocence. She led the way towards the library, figuring the woman would want to read on what had been missed, heading through the building again and then angling their way through the halls to the library. "Guards don't watch during free time here," said Zezzanth, "but you may read whatever you wish though books cannot be taken out. I believe there are a few chess and checkers' tables and marbles to play with if you get bored of reading."

The female's scent was intoxicating, a few males around her smelling the scent. Quickly looking around, she felt the burning sensation slowly spreading throughout her body, a yelp leaving her lips. As he sat her down and decided where he was going to sit, Aella's breath quickened as the pain increased. Her eyes squeezed shut as she doubled over, whines leaving her lips once more. "It burns!" She hissed and dug her nails into her sides.

Ellie froze, hearing her sister's plead, her muscles slowly relaxing. "Fine.." She mumbled before squeezing her sister one more time. Grabbing her hand, she smiled and led her towards the cafeteria line. "I hope they have something good," she grumbled.

101 smiles as she was escourted out and was walked down the hallways, the sense of being with a guard calmed her as she nuzzled softly with the guard. Her senses calling her to just relax and let the guard take her wherever she wished made her feel sleepy in a sense as the woman finally helped her to the library where the guards won't pester her " t-thank you Ms..." she smiles softly and licks her neck gently in appreciation before sitting on the floor playing with marbles by herself . As she was playing It dismisses thé guard off as in the end it was only her.. feeling the need to sleep she started to undergo her transformation as with a terrified howl shriek she became a canine and was madly in the heat she could could control before in her human form . Now being a wolf that control is impossible as her feral nature owns it. Of course her want was sleep and so she shall, her body curling up to a ball of fuzz as she fell into a defensive ball when she fell asleep, unknowing her heat senses could attract wanted or unwanted attention...( open for anyone at the library)

Charlie was having trouble controlling himself, but was finding it slightly easier the longer he resisted the urge to do anything. Having spent his entire transition period alone, he never had to deal with a female in heat so he had absolutely no idea how overpowering it could be the first time he was exposed. "Maybe you should consider moving away from the others unless you want to attract a lot of unwanted attention since your scent is incredibly overpowering." His breathing was still heavy but it began regulating itself slowly but surely. Charlie was by no means used to Aella's heat, and he wasn't sure that if he stopped concentrating he wouldn't just lose it right then and there, but he certainly found himself freer than he did just a minute before. Feeling worried about how he would react, Charlie hesitantly stretched his arm towards her. He lightly placed his fingers on her shoulder first, testing the waters to make sure direct contact wouldn't affect him. Once he felt confident in his ability to control himself, he placed his entire hand on her shoulder and softly rubbed it, trying to comfort her. "It should pass... I think it comes in waves but it doesn't last forever. Just hold on, okay?"

Joanna smiled at her twin faintly, exhausted from the weeks of pain but being kept on her feet by the sheer emotion of seeing Ellie again. "Let's go then!" She clung to her sister, avoiding looking around at all costs since she knew that place would only make her feel more depressed. Ellie's mention of food lit Joanna up, though, as a shred of optimism crept up within her. Despite being fed regularly, Jo hadn't eaten as much as she probably should've due to her sadness. Now that she had El again, she was looking forward to her first meal which she could fully enjoy. Walking up to the line, Joanna peeked over to get a glimpse of the food. It wasn't exactly promising, but it didn't look like the worst food in the world. "I don't know what I want... I haven't eaten properly in a while so I might just eat it all!" Jo let out a laugh toward her sister, choosing to ignore the situation they found themselves in.

As Charlie moved closer and outreached a hesitant hand, Aella whimpered, afraid she possibly hurt him. She squeezed her eyes shut, whining softly and leaning into Charlie, trying to find some comfort. As soon as his hand touched her shoulder, the burning began dulling into a smaller amount of pain. Bewildered by this, she looked up at him and furrowed her brow. "Why is your touch helping?" She choked out through the pain and strained control to keep her head on her shoulders. Swallowing thickly, she looked back around; he was right, there were a few emales gazing at her with burning eyes. "I don't like this.." Aella whispered, pressing her back into Charlie's side.

Being fed disgusting food for weeks had gotten sickening to the young pup, so the sight of somewhat better looking food made her happy. Her eyes shifted towards her twin, who was bouncing up and down like she'd just received a gift. With a furrowed brow, she moved forward and stood on her tippy toes to see what they had. She pointed towards two muffins, sausages, bacon, and fruit.

Charlie felt Aella suddenly ease up a little, and gave her a somewhat strained smile, still struggling to control himself with the overpowering scent of her heat. "I-I don't know... but if it's helping then I'll stay with you until it passes." He then saw her gaze turn to face some of the other males around them, many of which looked at her with hungry eyes. Charlie's rage swelled up again, seeing how uncomfortable this whole thing was making Aella, and he shot them menacing looks, ready to fight them if he needed to. If he was being perfectly honest, Charlie was itching for confrontation and he had no qualms with taking a few bumps just for the rush of it all. Aella's overpowering heat brought him out of his thoughts and his focus returned to her and keeping her safe and comfortable as best he could. Charlie put another hand on Aella's other shoulder and held her as softly as he could, fighting his own urge to give in to his animalistic desires. "Come with me, that table over there is more isolated and you're less likely to attract as much attention." Charlie stood, his hands still on Aella's shoulders to comfort her, and he motioned towards a table on the edge of the cafeteria where barely anyone was sitting, and the few who were around it didn't seem threatening. He hoped he wouldn't have to fight his way through, for Aella's sake more than anything.

Joanna smiled at the food and stood on her tiptoes to get a glimpse of it, mirroring Ellie's movements. Once her twin had placed her order, Joanna, unsure of what to do, decided to speak up. "I, uh, I'll take the same thing please!" One of the workers there, noticing the height disadvantage both girls were suffering from, pulled two trays and served their identical meals on them before handing it back to the twins. "Now go eat and stop standing in the way..." The woman was clearly bothered by the fact that Jo and El stood there in front of the line, incapable of grabbing their food until she intervened, but Joanna didn't pick up on her tone. "Thank you miss, you're very kind! Come on El, let's grab a table." Jo turned around and scanned the cafeteria with her tray in hand, searching for a table.

Wendy Li-Jong |#100| Human form
Location: Cafeteria

If there was one thing she regretted, it was being dumb enough to think that she'd be one of them for stealing for those so called friends of her's. After not going to the police station and instead somewhere else, her and her brother ended up in the hands of some people in lab coats before ending up in some sort of facility. She almost thought it was some new program for troubled youth but she had a gut feeling that something was very very wrong.

Finding herself strapped to a cold table didn't ease her nerves either. "Let go of me you rat bastards! Where's Pan? Wh-ow!" Wendy spat, before a small yowl of pain escaped her as the woman in the lab coat before her inserted the needle. The young woman grit her teeth, trying to endure the searing pain for the moment.

"See? That wasn't so bad, was it?" The woman huffed with a raised brow, before her brows furrowed as Wendy spit in her face in response.

After being roughly escorted out of the room and into another-this one being padded, Wendy simply paced the room. The following weeks made the young girl feel as if she were going crazy. She thought she'd die from the pain, and then the shift happened, and her agitation and anger came out of the beast in snarls and growls as it paced about, ears low and fangs bared as it tried to find a way out. Then she was in control again, and agitation and anger was replaced with confusion. Once she shifted back, she remained in a bit of a confused daze here and there, and the first words to come out of her mouth once the guards came for here was "What did you bastards do to me?"

Before she knew it she was suddenly being escorted elsewhere after getting her own room and number. Keeping a hair tie on her wrist in case she wanted to put her hair up, she absentmindedly pulled it until it lightly snapped back on her wrist. Blinking out of a small daze, the guard with her placed a hand on her back and nudged her forward, causing her to whip her head to her left with a scowl on her face.

"I can walk." She huffed, before walking into the cafeteria. Getting in line to get some food, she kept her head down, strands of hair sticking to her face though she didn't care whatsoever. After getting her food she sat down and ate, ignoring all of the commotion going on to the best of her ability. She already hated this place from the bottom of her heart. Once the last ten minutes were up she was gonna book it to get away from the crazies here.

Pan Li-Jong |#104| Human form
Location: Cafeteria

While Wendy cursed and showed agression during her changing process, Pan showed silent fear after being injected. He spent most of his time in the padded room writhing in agony. Once the actual transformation from man to beast occurred...it felt like he was watching the beast move from outside his own body. It paced, taking in it's surroundings with ears pointed forward, and after a few minutes Pan was back in control, and his movements grew a bit clumsy as he tried to get used to walking on all fours. Eventually he shifted back and, scared of what he'd become, he cried for two minutes stright until someone came to get him.

Pan had, to those that observed him in the following weeks, taken things rather well compared to his sister. For now anyway. The young man didn't say much of anything as he was given a room and number before being taken to the cafeteria after being showed how to sign in and out.

Hesitantly, the young man glanced around awkwardly, eyes darting this way and that before landing on Wendy. Perking happily, he quickly went and grabbed a tray to get some food, then sat beside her.

Wendy relaxed when she realized who was next to her, and Pan simply patted her shoulder in reassurance before eating as if he hadn't eaten in days.

Poppy coughed loudly as he neared the end of his sentence, probably to signify that he was being a little too loud and a little too obvious with his plans. Taking the hint James hunkered down over his food, spooning some of the indescribable matter into his mouth. It didn't taste half bad with the salt actually and boy was he hungry. James was no lightweight by any means but he had never eaten this much. Another change in his physiology thanks to whatever this cracked up "scientists" had injected him and the others with. His eyes flickered back to Poppy to see if she had come to a conclusion and thankfully she had.

The girl leaned forward and began in a low voice, lips barely moving as she spoke. James' gaze honed in, following the subtle movements as she agreed to basically risk her life along with him. He tried to tell himself the reason his gaze was so fixated on her lips was because he could hardly hear her but that wasn't true. Enhanced hearing was also one of his newfound traits. Blinking out of his trance, his grin returned. So he had pegged her correctly then. Poppy was most definitely a fighter. They were going to do this together.
"Alright." Trying not to sound too excited though his grin betrayed that. He then leaned back in his chair with an exaggerated stretch, eyes darting about the room to look at the others. There were some who looked like they would be in but he would heed Poppy's warning. She would make the call on who to include. After stretching for just long enough he settled back against the table, meeting Poppy's warm eyes with his own and matching her hushed tones. "So got anyone in mind? I wanna start small, form a circle of people you trust." He hoped he wasn't saying too much too soon but they didn't have a lot of time to begin with. There was an emphasis on Poppy's role; James didn't know a single soul aside from her so he would leave it up to her for now. As he spoke he noticed a heady scent in the air. What was that? "Do you...smell that?" James sniffed the air, head tilting towards the direction it was coming from. He still found his keener sense of smell more annoying than anything since it was so distracting but this was different. It was enticing in a way though not nearly as good as the scent of warm hot chocolate in the area he was at currently. He wrinkled his nose finding only some guy and girl talking at the end of the trail. The girl looked rather distressed and the guy seemed to be leading her somewhere. Was it coming from them? He felt a random urge to go over there but was doing his best to ignore it.

Aella slowly got up, wincing as the pain flared up again. Her eyes flickered towards a male that had caught sight of the two, her brow furrowed and her face scrunched with pain. Moving as quick as her pained body would allow her, she quickly sat down at the empty table, looking at Charlie. "Stay back..please. I don't want you to get yourself in trouble," she murmured, scooting to the farthest end of the table. Spotting James once more, she ducked her head, trying not to attract anybody else over there.

Charlie watched as Aella took a seat and scooted away from him, asking him to stay back. "I'll stay right here AJ..." He pointed to the other end of the table and leaned back, half sitting on the table itself. "I don't like the looks you're getting, so I'd better stay put until you're in a more... safe situation." That's when he saw Aella's gaze focus on someone. He followed her eyes and came upon another male, who seemed to be under similar conditions as Charlie, and it was almost as if he was also resisting similar urges as him. The other male didn't look like he had any threatening intentions but the fact that he had caught a whiff of Aella's heat and seemed to be under its effect to some capacity worried Charlie. It was true that he was itching for confrontation, but not with another test subject, and certainly not in a way which could endanger AJ. He pushed his more violent thoughts to the back of his mind, doing his best to keep his animal instincts, which Aella's heat had primed, in check. He reminded himself that the other male was probably just under her effect and wouldn't pose a threat, but he did stand ready in case he had, unfortunately, read the situation incorrectly.

Joanna pulled her sister along, ignoring her violent words. "But that lady gave us lunch so she can't be mean!" Joanna's voice was filled with innocence and joy as she found a comfortable spot where they could sit. It wasn't an empty table but there was only one person sitting there, and they seemed to be rather focused on whatever they were doing. "Let's sit down and enjoy some food and try to forget the bad stuff, alright El?" It was hard for Jo to pretend like she hadn't just survived the most traumatic days of her life, but her sister's presence allowed her to remain optimistic and joyful regardless.

Taking a long drag of the specially ordered COHIBA ROBUSTO Silas allowed the nicotine to fill his lungs and even out his head. His mother had told him long ago that these "cancer sticks" would kill him. Little did she know what he would be turned into. Now, now matter how much he inhales, cancer never gave him any worries. Despite that the institute did not like it when the room smelled of smoke, but he could honestly care less. They wouldn't lay a finger on him. They wanted to keep him in their good graces. He was an enforcer that could actually go head-to-head with the others who were imprisoned here. They needed him.

And did he use that to his advantage.

Allowing the smoke to spill out of his nostril a deep exhale was exhibited. Lazily, the muscled man placed one foot on the ground...and then the other. Bringing himself to full length the tall, muscular male made his way out of his room--where he slept in--and toward the cafeteria. Shoulders relaxed and back slouched he maneuvered his way to the cafeteria. Hopefully there is not trouble. Little did Silas know he was about to wander right into trouble. As he turned the corner he heard a name that almost made him turn around. Striker. Damn it. Placing the cigar to his lips once again he turned the corner to find Striker with someone. He was glancing around like he was looking for something. Gliding past the table he let Striker know that he had arrived before getting in line and getting food. The cigar still lit in his hand. Upon grabbing his tray and lounging at the table with Striker he finally put out the cigar. Placing the half smoked cigar in his pocket he took a bit and finally glanced up. "Striker." Silas greeted with an even tone. He did not enjoy the company of Striker, but unfortunately the male needed a bit more...monitoring. So here Silas was babysitting--in his option. Once he took a bite he glanced around just to see what was going on. His eyes caught the door closing and then another guard following. Feeling lazy and hungry he chose to give the guard time and start eating. Something caught his attention then. A smell. For just a moment it took a second to control himself before he turned to find the source. A young girl with a male nearby. Heat. This was literally the last thing Silas wanted.

It was obvious that he was excited, and honestly Poppy was too. As James stretched her eyes followed the obviously taught muscles and catching herself she quickly diverted back to her food...only to find that she had eaten it all. Sighing the girl pushed the tray forward and allowed herself to lean on the table. The male then inquired about people to include. A small circle of people that she trusted. Poppy racked her brain about people they could include in this plan. It was overt who is could not invite. Taking a quick glance around the cafeteria her wandering orbs landed on Striker and Chief. Both were known to be loyal to the institute and friends with the guards. Striker was violent and unpredictable. Chief appeared lazy and large, but there was something about him that reminded her of the big cats that she had learned about because of a project she helped her sister with. There was a predator underneath the slow and calculated movements. He could be dangerous. It then occurred to her that being new James did not not know about duo. Thinking it would good to warn him she turned back to the face the male.

Right as she did she saw James head tilt toward the air and sniff. He asked if she smelled something. Turning her own nose to the air she found herself catching the scent of something. It took a second for it to dawn on her that it was a female in heat. Not only was their the distinct smell woven through the air, but fear interlaced with it. That alone was enough to get most of the males attention. Even James. Strangely enough she felt a minuscule pang in her chest. Shaking her head the the ridiculousness of her reaction she also turned to face the male and female. The girl needed to get out of the cafeteria before a fight broke out. It was obvious that the male near her, while not appearing to be malicious in anyway, was also wresting with the urges.

She needs to get out of here. Now.

Unable to resist the urge to assist she brought herself to standing. It was about time to get out of the cafeteria anyway. "Let me think about your question," Poppy stated while grabbing her tray, "I'm going to get her out of here before someone get's hurt. We'll talk more later." Without hesitation she shared another warm grin with James. Leaving was not what she wanted to do, but Poppy knew that blood would shed of someone went after the other girl. They didn't need other prisoners getting hurt or to give the guards an excuse to torture them. It was hard to walk away, but she had too. Placing the tray in the rack she went and cautiously she approached the pair. "Hey," she called out as to not startle the pair, "Name's Poppy. I don't think I have time to explain but we need to get you out of here."

The only thing is she did not realize that one of the guards had picked up that something was happening and started to get the attention of those around him.

It took so much effort to finish the meal, but she did it. Pushing the tray away Dani laid her head on the table and breathed. She tried to breath away her surrounding, but a cry caught her attention. Turning toward the noise she found a young boy probably around her own age. For just a minute Dani stared. She had not seen someone else around her age in a long time. He was unfortunate enough to be sitting next to Striker, a guy that no one wanted to sit by. Dani found herself wondering what he was doing with them, but realized that it was probably not by choice.

It was lonely, all by herself at a small table towards the back of the cafeteria. Zoe was used to it by this point, but perhaps some good would come from trying to break out of her shell a little. Her eyes scanned the area. Lots of people were absorbed in their own conversations. She'd feel bad if she just butted in, interrupting whatever they were on about. Eventually, her eyes landed upon two people who sat silently together. They appeared close... lovers, perhaps? Siblings? She didn't know.

Interested, Zoe picked up her tray and made her way over to their table. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked, but she was already sitting down on the side opposite of them. "So, how'd you two get dragged into this mess? Kidnapped? Volunteered?" She took in a spoonful of her food, chewing and swallowing awkwardly. Conversations weren't really her thing, but, hey, at least she was trying.

"I was stupid and volunteered, apparently. That's all they told me. Well, that and my name. Zoe," she explained. She didn't mind if she was still the only one to have spoken up at this point; it felt good to get this stuff off her shoulders. "I lost my memories during whatever experiment they ran on me. Had a seizure or something and hit my head." She rubbed the back of her neck, remembering how terrified she'd been when she'd first waken up after all that. "I hope you've had it better than I did."

Mazikeen had finally managed to gather enough small animals to count it as a meal for the four wolves, however she was pretty out of breath by the end of it, learning to hunt was still pretty hard. She put down her prey and yawned and stretched before picking up the animals and communicating with her new pack that she had food for them so they should meet back at where they were sleeping last night. She began to trot out of the woods, taking her time and navigating the dense trees pretty effortlessly now. She popped out of the woods just of to the side of the little lakes and began trotting towards, what she considered, home. Bringing along food and happy attitudes with her.

He’d been locked up long enough that his mind was confused and fuzzy, as if there was a smog covering all the important information.
Silo had barely noticed the commotion until, Yong, was it? Pointed it out. He just have a half hearted grunt in response, head still resting on his hand. He watched as the male in front of him gave up on his food, and offered it towards Silo, and Silo gave him an extremely thankful look. “Are you sure?” He asked, wanting to assure that he was being serious and this wasn’t some sick joke on his already frail mind.

Grail had moved the pack back to the Expanse for one reason. It had been a month and a half since the three experiments had escaped and they were improving with their wolf bodies though some seemed to suffer more than others with it. Surprisingly, none had followed their trail. Grail thought this was a good sign but they would need to be careful. It had been decided on that he and Mazikeen would act as distractions...well Mazikeen as a distraction for the alpha and the two young pack members were aware of his and Alana becoming mates. They seemed to respect that which was good though betas had yet to be made. Grail was lying on his back with his paws in the air, staring up at the blue sky. Rolling over onto his stomach, the wolf got to his paws and shook himself out before staring in the direction of the facility. They were far enough away that they couldn't be seen...one would have to cross into the expanse and then survive it in order to get near them. Grail growled at the thought...he would not see his little pack destroyed so quickly. Hearing Mazikeen's words of finding food and bringing it back, the alpha snarled in the direction of the facility that had been his home for years before turning and heading back across the expanse towards the others. The patrol had been somewhat useful...there were no scents of other lupines or humans in the area.

Poppy reacted in a way he hadn't expected at all honestly. Her expression went from calm to somewhat worried almost as soon as she scented the air. He quirked an eyebrow at her, entirely unsure of what was going on as she announced she would think things over but first she would go assist the pair that seemed to be having trouble. James felt a little put oit if he was honest, their conversation had been cut short. He was glad she agreed of course but he had to admit he liked talking to Poppy. She had a really cool, down to earth vibe about her that he was into. It was only once she left the table that he realized the other scent competing for his attention belonged to her. Hot chocolate... how about that.

With one mystery solved James decided he might as well see what the other was about. What was going on between those two where Poppy thought someone could be hurt? A lovers spat perhaps. No, with a closer look he could tell they were barely acquainted let alone in a relationship. So the only way to find out would be to go over himself. Which he promptly did, tossing the contents of his tray in the trash on his way. As he got closer the scent hit him harder, his eyes narrowed sharply at the soft thrum of possessive feelings that were developing towards the woman. She had mottled skin, a condition he'd seen among one of his friends back home but neither of them had been educated enough to know what it really was. That didn't detract from her appeal at all. He couldn't explain it but something in him simply wanted her. It was different from emotional or even physical attraction. She could be anyone really, it was just that scent was driving him nuts.
He should have her.
And no one was going to stop him.

James approached a bit faster than he wanted to, fists curling at the sheer ridiculousness of his state of mind. What was he thinking? He stopped just short of where Poppy stood, catching the end of her sentence. She wanted to take the other girl away. A part of him really didn't like that idea but the rational part knew he was acting on some foreign instinct that was absolutely not normal. This wasn't how humans behaved. Refusing to let himself appear anymore animalistic, James forced himself to try to relax. Try to resist the signals he felt were definitely coming his way. But it wasn't easy. Deep calming breaths were out of the question as he was likely to jump over the table and do something he'd regret for the rest of his life. He absolutely fucking hated this lack of control, these alien urges and feelings and senses. He'd asked for none of this shit and suddenly had to deal with all of it without a shred of guidance. How could he lead anyone to escape outta here if he could barely keep his head straight when someone smelled good? James let out a frustrated growl as he turned himself away from the trio. Everything in him was urging him to take but he wouldn't. He almost wanted to ask Poppy for help but feared what she would say. For some reason he wanted her to look favorably on him. What would she think if she knew he was struggling with a thing like this? Even if he hardly understood it?

Thankfully a guard had already signaled the end of breakfast. They would have free time, he could look around for others to scout. Some fresh air would be good, he felt like his nose- hell even his brain needed to be cleansed.

"Pan you're gonna choke, slow down." Wendy snickered and nudged the male, who simply rolled his eyes but smiled anyway.

"Yeah you can sit here." Pan spoke, looking up from his tray to the young woman who wanted to join him. "I'm Pan, and this is my sis Wendy. We...well, we got sent here after we got caught stealing." He added quietly, causing Wendy to roll her eyes a bit and sneer at her own tray.

"Yeah, if we hadn't got caught we wouldn't be in this shit hole." She grumbled, before sighing and fiddling with the hair tie around her wrist. "I guess we're taking it well? We're here together so we'll be fine as long as we look out for each other...and I hope you get your memory back...well, the good memories anyway. I haven't been here too long and I already can feel that this place is full of wackos." She clicked her tongue, and Pan frowned at those words.

"Other than the wackos she's talking about, I hope we can get along?" Pan added with a small smile, hoping to make friends with Zoe.

Silo's thankful look almsot surprised Yong, but given how skinny the male looked it should've been a given.

"Yeah, you seemed pretty hungry earlier anyway. Besides you look like hell." Yong chuckled as he leaned back in his seat.

"No offense, kiddo." He added almost nonchalantly towards the younger male. Something else seemed to be going on with a female and male elsewhere, and he sighed through his nose. Nothing but trouble today it seemed.

Aella heard footsteps and scared that it was a male, she scrambled out of her chair, but as soon as she looked up, it was a female about her age. As Poppy explained that she needed to get out of here, she knew what she meant. Looking down at Charlie, the strain and aggressiveness was evident in his eyes; he'd been fighting it and she didn't know how much longer he could. As she went to go look back over to Poppy, her muscles froze as a larger male was making his way over with his fists curled tightly and his eyes nearly slitted; the sudden stop of his actions filled her with relief.

"I-I agree; let's go, they just called free time." She murmured quietly, her blue gaze flickering back to the man, James staring at her mottled skin. "I don't want anyone getting hurt because of me." Quickly looking around, she looked for a more open, secluded place to go.

Ellie's gaze softened but she gave a small huff. "Fine, but you're too naive to understand. She was one of the bad guys that hurt us," she grumbled and sat down onto one of the seats. Taking some food in her mouth, she began hungrily stuffing her face.

Taking a bite if his own sausage Silas provided the other male with a heavy shrug. If he did then he did, if he didn't then he didn't. Only time would tell. It was always interesting to Silas that Striker was an ally. Often times he would wonder what the other males intentions were, but then ultimately decided that it was not worth his time to try and figure out the inner working of his ally. If Silas had to guess, he would say it was because he enjoyed hurting others. But that was only a guess. All the smoker knew was that he was glad that Striker was on his side and not the opposite. He would have been a worthy opponent if he was.

Right as he was about to finish his sausage a "Breakfast is over. Report outside for free time" sounded through the tense air. It appears the guards were not as naive as they appeared to be. They knew something was going on. For a brief moment there was a tense silence in the room. Then, probably persuaded by the underlying threat of harm on their well-being, a mass exodus started from the cafeteria. As the brunette male stood up he turned to find that there was still small group remaining still; two females and two males. The females were talking while both male were trying to remain in control. It would not be beneficial for Silas to enter the group. Another male would tip the scale and possibly start a frenzy. With that thought he sat back down and observed. "Striker," he stated casually, "if you want to go outside with the rest feel free, but I want to make sure things don't go crazy here."

In his own right Silas was a dominant. Maybe even an Alpha, but he didn't want the responsibility of leading anything. Much less a pack outside of the safety of the institute.

As Poppy paused to talk to the other female she suddenly heart movement behind her. The movement was accompanied by a growl. There was just a brief moment where she cast a glace behind herself to find James. He was struggling too. That much was clear. It was amazing to Poppy that he was able to have so much control over the animalistic reactions that were pulsing through his system. It was then that she realized that she had made crucial mistake. Prior to leaving the kinky-haired girl should have explained the situation. It had slipped her mind that the male was new. James would have no idea what was going on. If she was correct about the duo in front of her being new as well they would not have much of an idea either. Keeping herself as neutral as possible, Poppy started to approach the vitiligo girl. The last thing she wanted to do was spark something. At this point it would be hard to keep the males concentration, but she knew that she at least maybe have James.

"The smell you were smelling, James, was a female going into heat." Poppy spoke loud enough in hopes that the taller male would hear it, "It causes animalistic reactions and mating instincts. It can be hard to resist, but it is completely possible. The wolf is only part of us, we are still human too." The point she was trying to emphasis was that it could be controlled. At this point she was about a foot away from the female and watching as she desperately looked around. Desperation was never a good sign. "The best chance for us to keep you and everyone else safe would probably to be to get you outside. That way the smell is not closed up in this confined area." At that moment Poppy vowed that she would not leave the girl. And that after this she would apologize for leaving James in such a state of confusion, as well as work on her communication. There would be no excuses anymore.

While Poppy herself had never been in heat she learned from an older wolf who she use to talk to. Hannah, a women in her 50's, was turned because she was dying. Poppy learned a lot from Hannah and was still saddened over the women's death. That was the last person she had trusted.

Charlie was momentarily pulled out of his thoughts when another woman approached the two. She had a concerned look on her face, and it was clear that her concern was directed toward Aella. She spoke directly to her, and introducer herself as Poppy. Poppy's words had a sense of alarm to them, as she spoke of taking Aella away from there. Charlie sighed with relief, as finally there was someone else looking out for AJ. More importantly, that someone didn't have to fight a nearly unbeatable urge to take her for their own right then and there. Charlie didn't want to be separated from Aella and had decided he quite liked her and wanted to spend more time around her, but he knew this was for the best. Despite his best efforts, Charlie's will was bound to fail him at some point and he didn't want to hurt AJ when that happened. He went to say something to Poppy, wanting to thank her and tell her that she needed to keep Aella safe. That was when another male approached them. It was the same one who Charlie had seen struggling a little from a distance, and it was the same one Poppy had been talking to before approaching AJ.

Charlie saw the male's body language and the look in his eyes, and an involuntary snarl escaped his lips. He wants her. He wants to take her away from you. You can't let that happen... New thoughts began popping up in Charlie's head. At first, they were whispers, but they got louder and louder the closer the other male got. There was no logic to these thoughts, and certainly no justifiable reason for them. It was AJ's heat which forced these thoughts onto Charlie. Not only did he have to fight his own urges with her, but now Charlie was being forced to fight an overwhelming desire to fight this man he didn't even know. Tear him apart. Break every bone in his body. She's yours, not his. Visible rage was all over Charlie's expression as he stared intently at the other male, who was clearly fighting against himself much like Charlie had been since Aella's heat began. "Oh fuck off!" Charlie growled angrily, more at himself and his own thoughts than at anyone around him. He managed to collect himself for a brief moment just to talk to Poppy. "Y-yeah, get her away!" His gaze would not remove itself from the male, however, as Charlie's eyes were trained on him like a laser. "Don't let anything happen to her!" His words came out with hints of growling as he gripped the table once more, bending the metal a little. He decided it would be better to damage property and get in trouble rather than release his anger towards someone else.

Poppy spoke up, explaining the situation to both males what was going on exactly. Heat... go figure. It's "that time of the year," I guess. His thoughts eased him a little as Charlie realized that it wasn't entirely his fault or the other male's fault for that matter. Furthermore, knowing that it wasn't entirely all-consuming and could be controlled also helped put his mind slightly at ease. Charlie's breathing eased a little, but his body remained tense and those thoughts were still circling in his head. He went to speak again, this time to the male directly. "You heard what she said. Let's walk away... before either of us makes a mistake." Charlie had vaguely heard something about free time and knew that he'd have a chance to get away from Aella and that she'd have a chance to isolate herself from the males. If Poppy remained with her then Charlie was sure that nothing too bad could happen, but maybe he was just being hopeful.

Joanna ate her for quickly, not even bothering to stop and taste anything. Her hunger had gotten the best of her and it was finally her time to feast. Her twin spoke, but Jo didn't pay too much attention, focusing solely on the food she was eating. Before she finished, she heard a guard call for free time and ending breakfast time. The pup's eyes lit up with excitement at the sound of this as she turned to her sister, stuffing her face with the last remaining bit of her muffin. Once Jo had swallowed enough of it to speak, she began talking to her sister excitedly. "Did you hear that, El? We have free time! Let's go outside and play just like we used to!" She picked up her tray and was practically jumping up and down with excitement, as she walked to leave the empty tray and then wait for her sister to follow her.

Zoe smiled at the two siblings and their antics. It was nice to see people who could actually tease each other like that. They certainly were handling things well, and she was glad to see that. It was hard for her to even manage a smile; to see them do so without much effort was heartwarming.

"I think we can definitely get along," she replied to Pan before taking in another bite of food. It tasted awful but she was hungry and this was all she was getting for a while. When free time was announced, she continued to stuff her face, trying to finish off everything before she had to get up. Scrapping her tray clean with her spork, she stood and stretched. "I reckon we can hang out together during free time, now."

Making her way outside, Zoe took in the fresh air, a content expression on her face. She felt much better out here, like she belonged. If Pan and Wendy followed, she'd wave them along and grin toothily at them. Her eyes caught sight of a boy who was shakily standing in the courtyard. Sympathy swelled inside her and she approached him, momentarily forgetting about the duo she'd just interacted with.

"Hey kid, are you okay?" she asked, bending over a little to be at the same height as him. "I don't think I've seen you before; you must be new? Newish, at least. But trust me: it's not too bad here once you get used to it." Then again, she didn't remember anything of life before the institute. What did she really have to compare it to?

As Alexander left him for The Pit, the boy remained shaking in the courtyard, the child lookingvaround to see a ton of potted plants and a large skylight stretching over some of the courtyard. Jumping in fright as someone bent down over him, the boy lighted an arm up to shield his face as if expecting to be hit but the girl was just talking to him. She asked if he was okay and he hesitantly lowered his arm, body still tense as she continued speaking. “Mama sold me...five weeks ago,” said Sebastian. “I just get out today. Bad man...say he kill me.”

Hearing that another wolf had bullied the young pup and that Striker was going to take care of it caused a brief moment of surprise, but that quickly faded. Silas offered a swift nod to indicate that he had heard the other male and then focused back on the small group. The males were struggling. When the one female who approached--who he heard identify herself as Poppy--explained the situation he nodded. She was correct. It was something that could be controlled, but that usually took time and effort. There was genuine disbelief that both had managed to hold on to control for the duration of time that they had. Especially with the female in heat being terrified as well. He continued to watch with hawk like vision as one male, the one closet to the female in heat, relaxed at the news that Poppy had just spouted. An attempt was made to deescalate the situation by the male, saying that they both needed to walk away before something was done that they both regretted. Meanwhile Poppy continued to approach the other female. She was also correct that their best bet would be to get the girl outside. At this point the whole situation was surprisingly manageable. It had been a wise choice to let both males know what was going because it obviously affected at least one's behavior.

The one aspect of the situation that Silas could not grasp is why this female was in heat. It was not the season for it. Silas was typically decent at remembering faces and at least three of the individuals present were new. Then again sometimes the injection had strange side effects. Was it possible that it pushed this one female into heat? Making a mental note that he needed to follow-up on the question he refocused his mind back to the situation. It was not surprising that they had failed to notice him. They had their own problems. Propping both elbows back on the table he stretched out his legs and leaned his back against the table. Might as well be comfortable while the scene unfolded.

There was something going on, but Dani had not been paying enough attention to know what it was. She didn't understand why there was so much tension in the air and why the guard had suddenly stated that breakfast was over. Grabbing her tray and placing it in the rack she swiftly moved with the crowd as the poured outside. There was murmurs from all around her about the current situation in the cafeteria, but nothing too specific was being said. What was going on? And how did she stay out it? Figuring the best choice was to get away from the crowd she parted ways. It was strange how most of the male crowded around the doors of the cafeteria. Suddenly an old male walked out with the boy Dani had seen earlier. The kid around her age. He was aggressively dropped off before the older male walked away. Tentatively the blonde started to approach, but when another wolf approached--this time female--she froze. She was only a couple feet away and was able to hear that the boy's mom had just sold him and that he had just been released. The older man had threatened to kill him if something happened. Dani was unclear about what exactly the boy needed to do to avoid getting killed, but it was probably a good idea to stay near where the older man had placed him. In a streak that reminded her of her old self, Dani scooted a little closer so that she could continue to listen to the conversation. She parked herself in a sunny, grassy area and continued to listen. She then heard the older women say that it was not so bad once you get used to this place. At that Dani cringed. That was a flat out lie. This place was unbearable. They were mean and caused pain. With every fiber of her being the young girl wanted to leave. This place was hell on earth and there had to be something better than this.

Sebastian waited tensely for the woman to do or say something. As he stood there, waiting for something to happen, he heard someone coming over to them. Turning his head, the boy saw a girl around his age approaching and flopping down on some grass near by, the boy staring at her before looking back at the woman. What did she want with him? Why was she saying this place was nice when he had been hit and threatened with death? He would rather be home helping mama get drug money.
