Charlie finished eating rather quickly, probably due to the fact that he'd just spent three weeks undergoing the most painful and exhausting form of torture he'd ever endured. He stood from the table he was at and carried his tray over to dispose of it before taking a second to stretch. Once his body felt relaxed, Charlie turned back to the tables, which were still quite lively with people eating their meals. His eyes scanned the room until they came upon an empty table with only one person sitting there. It was a girl who stood out for two main reasons: her peculiar skin which was somewhat dark with lighter patches throughout, and the fact that he hadn't seen her there with the others and she was alone. Charlie realized that she was probably also new here, and wouldn't have much stake in the happenings of this place just yet. Not just that, but she also seemed like she didn't know anyone, or at least didn't want to get to know anyone. Regardless, Charlie knew that in a place like that it was best to stick together.
He took a deep breath and exhaled before walking towards her. Charlie made sure he wasn't walking so fast that it freaked her out, or so slow that he, well... freaked her out. Once he got to the table he decided to make his presence known to her before taking a seat, seeing as how she was in the process of eating her food. "Hey there, I hope you don't mind if I grab a seat." Once he made sure that the girl noticed him, he pulled a chair opposite her and took a seat. He didn't stare at her but his gaze made it clear that he wanted to talk to her. "Is this also your first day in the gutter? Quite the 'rite of passage' just to get into this lousy place, don't you think?" Charlie laughed internally at this last statement, thinking back to all the suffering he had to endure just to get a subpar meal at the end of it all, and a prison cell with his name on it. He then realized that he never introduced himself and internally reprimanded himself before speaking up again. "The name's Charlie, by the way. But most people call me CJ."
