"Yeah, sometimes it does..." He quickly wipes his eyes and gives a sad chuckle, looking off at her with a smile. ".. Is there... anythin' that you wanna' talk about? Anythin' on your mind?" He offers, holding her hand.

".. What...? I don't know what you're talkin' about..." He said after a long delay.


"I need the bathroom--.." Nathan said, sounding slightly uncomfortable. He tried standing up but instead collapsed to the floor with a thud, he grunted and shuffled back into a sitting position. ".. Can you help me up?" He asked her quietly, sighing softly to himself. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth closed her eyes tightly and sighed. "Yeah.. Yeah there is... You know how you told us about the bone runners...? My dad... Had become one of those... But it still had his face... He... He could talk.." She whispered softly.

Brianna nodded and untangled herself from the blankets and got up and made her way over to his side. Putting his arm around her shoulders, she stood up.
 
".. Talk? What do you mean he could talk?" He asked, his eyebrows instantly rising.

He'd rely on her heavily but allow her to help him; he lets himself get essentially carried down the stairs but thanks her when they finally reach the bathroom door; he rushes inside and closes the main door over, leaving her waiting for him. He stumbles and sways while walking, but thankfully doesn't fall over again. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth trembled slightly. "I don't know... But it was he knew what he was... God... I nearly got killed because I was so stupid..." She said while running her hands through her hair.

Brianna waits outside of the door, leaning against the wall. Hoping he would be okay on his own, she bit her lip slightly while thinking.
 
".. I think--.. I think I know what you mean... Right before our ma' turned she--.. She acted like them. She was aggressive but still tried to talk to us like everything was fine... She even held a knife to Nathan, for Christ sakes..." He said, caressing her hand to comfort her. ".. There's another thing as well, honey... I--.. You've been losin' a lot of weight recently. Haven't you been eatin'?" He asked her, looking rather concerned. (@Soul OMU)

Around five minutes later a toilet is heard flushing, followed by the sound of running water from one of the sinks. Nathan walks back out and dries his hands off on the PJ shirt that he was wearing; he was stumbling about and swaying - just by looking into his eyes she could tell that he was very dizzy and disorientated; he was the ghastly pale again, his body quivering. "You know... I really wish we could just go and sit on a couch and watch TV, but--.. You know..." He said with a hint of sadness, his voice slurred. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth bit her lip slightly, cursing herself slightly for not being more careful. "Well... I have been... But nothing seems to sit well with me... Other then my tea.." She said softly while looking down.

Brianna slips her arm around him to help him since she noticed he was swaying slightly. "Well maybe we could read a story..." She said while looking at him. (@DrTrollinski)
 
"What do you mean it doesn't sit well with you? You mean it makes you sick?" He asks her, taking a deep breath of worry as he moves his arm around her body and pulls her close, resulting in her head being against his chest.

".. Yeah... That'd be nice..." He says after a five second day, nodding lazily but still forcing a smile. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth leaning against him. "...it just... Whenever I stomach it... It just... Doesn't stay down." She said while closing her eyes, taking comfort in his arms.

Brianna helping him back to their room. "...how about I make up a story and you imagine what happens?" She said softly while sitting them down. (@DrTrollinski)
 
"That's strange... maybe it's just an--.. I don't know." He says, sounding worried as he places the side of his head atop her own, kissing the top of it. ".. It might be the nerves, darlin' - I mean, you were under a lotta' pressure since you first arrived. You were worried about quite a lotta' things... Maybe you should jus' try unwindin' a little... Y'know, take a hot shower every night, eat some basic food if you don't want anythin' too fancy... Then maybe even read for a while, hell, when I went out earlier on I picked up a loada' books from the book store. You should read each night, maybe--.. Nathan used to read all the time when he was a kid - he always slept easier 'cause of that, I swear." He paused for a moment and held her tight, rocking from side to side.


"Then after all that, me and you can snuggle up in bed together and get a good night's sleep, eh?" He smiled and kissed the top of her head again, laughing for a moment.

".. Yeah... that sounds nice, Brianna." He gives a weak smile and collapses back down onto his bed, setting his head down on the pillow while quickly drinking down the rest of the water by his bed. He covered himself over with the blanket and hugged it tightly in an attempt to get warm; he looked up at her with tired eyes and smiled. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth smiles faintly and leans against him. "As long as you promise to shower with me...?" With a soft but sly look on her face as she leaned up and pecked his lips. "And that would wonderful Norm..." She said while looking up at him.

Brianna sits by him and smiles a bit. "Alright... What kind of story...? Adventure... Love... Drama... Comedy..?" She said with a smile.
 
"Heh, you don't even have to ask, honey. I'd shower with you any time of the damn day." He said to her, winking as he quickly kissed her lips once again and kept her close to him. "Plus... Seein' as you've got a little Norman or a little Ellie along for the ride now..." He reached down and rubbed her stomach area, smiling at her. "You've gotta' keep your strength up so that they get a fair share of food, too." He said simply, kissing her cheek and then her lips once again.

He'd look at her blankly for a few seconds and would then smile. ".. Adventure--.. I want somethin' that's got of a lot of adventure." He smiled up at her and curled up into the fetal position again, staring up at her. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth smiles a bit and wrinkles her nose in amusement. "Alright.. Good to know I can have you in the shower with me anytime. Also I will I will." She said with a smile and pecked his lips back while holding his hand.

Brianna smiles and laughs softly. "Okay... But I'm throwing some romance in it cuz I'm the story teller here." She said and got settled down.

"Good... we want the little one to be big and strong for this world, eh?" He said in happiness as he gently caressed her stomach area again, gripping her hand with his free one.

Elizabeth smiles a bit and leans against him while resting her head against his shoulder. "Mhm... That we do... And they will be." She said while lightly squeezing his hand gently.

Brianna giggles before getting serious. "Long long ago, in a beautiful land... There lived brave and strong prince, who was also a knight mind you. Everyone loved him and praised him so much. His parents having grown old, wished that there son would find a nice young woman to settle down with. The Prince, however was not ready for such thing... Ran away from the kingdom on his dark stallion. He travelled very far and very long..."
 
"It's funny, Ellie... As bad as this world is, I... I just can't wait to be a daddy... I bet it's so much fun, don't you?" He said to her, smiling as he leaned back in his chair and stared up at the wall in thought.

Nathan closes his eyes over while listening to her, taking his time to interpret what she was saying but also wearing a soft smile. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth smiles and laughs softly. "Yes... I bet it is." She said while leaning against him and closes her eyes with a smile on her face.

Brianna smiles brightly while continuing to speak. "Eventually he came upon a small farm. The farm wasn't much to look at, but he needed a place to stay and rest for having travelled very long and very far without stopping. As he got off his horse, he made his way to the door of the small house by the barn and was greeted by a young woman. She had smudges on her clothes and on her face, but didn't seem bothered to why a strange man was on her land. She questioned why he was here and how he got here. He answered her truthfully since he was curious to why it was her who answered and not a husband or man."
 
".. If you need anythin' to make you feel better, just think'a that... Those times we'll hit - I imagine it to be similar to when Nathan was little. You know... havin' to bring 'em back to bed because of a nightmare... Takin' 'em downstairs to use the bathroom either really late at night or really early in the mornin' 'cause they're too scared to go alone... I bet it'll be nice." He says, moving his arm up around her shoulders and rocking her from side to side.

".. Then what happened...?" Nathan asked in a tired voice, his body seeming more relaxed and his eyes still softly shut; his smile had begun to fade, but he still looked happy. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth smiles a bit as she rests against him, being rocked from side to side gently. "Mhm... They will be the best moments of our life. Along with some others." She said while looking at him.

Brianna smiles while closing her eyes. "She let him in, not because of who he was, but out of kindness. He thanked her for her hospitality and decided to ask his own question. She was surprised by his question, but answered him without hesitation. 'I need not a man to keep me happy, but hard work and trust to keep me going.' Was her answer as she began to cook up some dinner for him. The Prince was shocked by her words as he watched her move about the kitchen with an unseen grace that he had never seen in another woman." She said softly while making up the story.
 
"Yeah... Did I ever mention how madly in love with you I am?" He flirted, winking at her briefly with a grin on his face.

Nathan takes a deep breath while listening, his eyelids becoming heavy as Brianna continued speaking; a crack of a smile lit up his face as she spoke but it soon faded away again as he gave a small and quiet yawn. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth laughed softly and smiled slightly as she looked at him. "You might have mentioned it... Care to remind me?" She asked teasingly.

Brianna continuing to speak. "A few days passed and the Prince was still staying with the young woman on her farm. He just couldn't find a reason to leave. She was unlike any other woman he had ever met. She was a hard worker and didn't take no for an answer. She even managed to make him, him! The Prince, help her take care of her cattle."
 
"With pleasure..." He said as he leaned forward and gave her a deep and passionate kiss on her lips, holding her close with both arms for a about ten seconds before slowly pulling away and smiling at her.

On first glance, it appeared that Nathan was asleep, or at least very close to it. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth smiles and cups his face slightly once their lips connected and kissed him back just at deeply and as passionately before resting her forehead against his, a light blush dusting her cheeks.

Brianna smiles a bit as she notices but keeps going. "However... The peace and serenity... Didn't last long... Eventually the Prince's guards found him and forced him to return to the kingdom, having told him his parents had passed away. He wished he could have said good bye but he didn't it. The young woman didn't know he had left when she noticed him missing from the kitchen where he usually waited for her."
 
"I hope we live a long life. And hopefully that life's as happy as it possibly can be." He grips both of her hands with a deep breath, giving a soft smile at her. He glanced around the kitchen and then towards the exit. "I wonder how Brianna's doin' up there with Nate. Been pretty quiet so far." He stated.

Nathan was asleep. His mouth was slightly open and he took unsteady but soft deep breaths while his body slowly began to spread out across the mattress. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth smiles a bit as she held his hands. "If anything... After all this, I think I should ask you to marry me." She said with a small smile.

Brianna smiles a bit and takes the cloth off his forehead and puts on a new cool one. "Sweet dreams." She said while settling down on her mattress.
 
"Isn't me who's supposed to ask YOU to marry ME?" He questions, winking at her. He leans forward and whispers something into her ear. "It'll be sooner than you think." He says, kissing her cheek thereafter. (@Soul OMU)
