Futuristic Brain Burger

'' Ahhhh so that's what this is all about!'' Noah realised with wide eyes as he slammed his fist in his palm. '' Oh well, that can be fixed easily!'' he stated with a huge smile as he sat one of the chairs crossed legged. It almost seemed like he wasn't mad five seconds ago.

"Take a guess, General." He said as he spun around and returned to his chair, sitting in it. ".. Take a guess at everything you think I'm referring to." He said softly, staring into his eyes. (@32sillylight32)

"I don't know, for Christ sakes. I just am. Like sometimes I call Nathan 'son' although he's not my son, sometimes I call people 'shooter', others 'tough guy'. Jesus Christ. I just do. Now tell me what you think it is." He said to him. (@32sillylight32)

'' Confusing..'' Noah whispered to himself looking at him like he was an Alien but then shrugged it off with a shake of the head. '' My guest is.... either you are tired of getting used and being looked at by the others like some backstabber or.....you are simply taking too much responsibilities on yourself.'' he said using another chair to prop his legs on.

".. I'm tired of not bein' trusted, Noah... Every time..." He shook his head and glanced around. ".. Every decision I make, I'll say black, someone else says white. I say walk, they say run. Because after all, good old Uncle Norman's just some shit-kickin' redneck who doesn't know what he's doing." He kicks the desk harshly with one foot, his head bowed. (@32sillylight32)

Noah nodded, '' Well, that's kind of human nature. Plus, there is a lot of people who can be....well they think they can a leader and take your place.'' he stated while playing with his now long nails. Which was kind of gross since he always had them short. '' Show them who's the boss and if they are not happy and think they can find better, they can just leave.'' he added with a shrug

"Yeah, but how many people would leave if I said that? How many people would leave if I turned to them and said 'If I ain't good enough for you, just fuck off somewhere else'? How many people would I be left with Noah... My brother? Hell, he'd probably leave if he had the chance..." He said, covering his face with his hands while leaning forward onto the desk and giving a sigh. (@32sillylight32)

'' Oh damn... Overstatement. I'm pretty sure I'll stay here with my group. What is better? Having lots of people who can backstab you anytime or having a few that you can trust''

'' True Story bro. But we just ain't dying yet'' Noah said with a wink as he taped Norman's shoulder very hard, not that he realized. '' Now come on. Let's go share the stuff.''

Noah smiled softly as he walked out of the office and walked down the stairs. " Guys! Get your asses over here! We got clothes!" He shouted as he opened one bag to separate everything by size

"Heh..." He looked down at all the clothes, starting off on the shirts and sweaters. He needed to balance them all out so that every got at least one or two out of it. He just emptied them out onto the floor and starting rummaging them about for a minute, separating them all; he reached forward and picked up the smallest red, long-sleeve casual shirt and looked at it, a spark of happiness finally returning to his eyes. He gave a gentle laugh under his breath. "This one's Asha's, right here." He said as he carefully folded it up and set it down beside him; he then dug through them again and looked for some other smaller ones - he found the second shirt that was fit for Asha and folded it again, placing it on the same pile.

He found it easier to sort out the kids' stuff first, that way whatever was left over would be pretty much suited for all the adults that were there. After finding Asha's stuff he sorted through the shirts again and found the stuff that was fit for Brianna and Tony, and folded them up and placed them on the opposite side of the other shirts - it was obvious what he was doing. Men's stuff on the left, women's on the right. He kept going, sorting shirts of different colors out for Nathan, Clay, Bellamy, and Chandler. That was all the kids sorted out once all piles of shirts were on the left or right. Now he needed to go through the sweaters - It was funny, he seemed to actually look a lot happier while he was merely sorting out clothes for people; a nice change of pace, I guess. Before he moved onto the sweaters he sorted out the piles of clothes for adults and placed them in front of himself, but kept the left-right layout to divide gender.

Now it was time to do it all over again with the sweaters, pants, underwear, socks, boots, coats, pajamas, and hats. (@Stew, @Soul OMU, @Stew, @Soul OMU, @Stew)

By the morning of September 5th, Belinda was done with this place. She was fully healed and had just about had it with these crises-loving people. Even without the hubbub that had filled the first few days, the atmosphere was unpleasantly tense. She'd always intended to leave anyways, and now that she knew she was back to full strength, she had every intention of getting out of there. First, though, she thought she'd say goodbye to Brie. Quietly, she knocked on the door Nathan and Brie shared.

Ash clambered on top of Tony and poked her cheek. "Tony." He whispered.

Her eyes flashed open, panic in them, but she calmed the instant she saw Ash. Groaning, she pushed him off her and rolled to the side. "Ash. What're you doing? Is something wrong?"

"Nanika is wrong with Norman to omoimasu." He told her seriously. (Nanika = something, to omoimasu = I think)

She sighed, fully awake now. "I know, Ash. I know." Norman had been weird ever since that day she'd said he should concentrate on Nathan instead of acting as their father figure. A small part of her felt guilty, because his recent state of depression had to be because of that, but another part of her was annoyed and defiant. She didn't think she'd said anything wrong, after all. That was why she hadn't approached him earlier, but he was making three days feel like an eternity. Standing up, Antoinette patted Ash on the head and told him to stay with Clay while she talked to Norman. She went to the office Norman was usually in at that time, only to find Chandler already in front of it. She hadn't much talked to the new kid, and it felt awkward to be there with him. She hung back from knocking on his door. "Hey. Are you here to see Norman, too?" (@DrTrollinski)

Skylar had started getting sick and a lot weaker than she usually is. Noah had started getting worried to her but she always pushed him away. She hated being taken care of and that is what Noah constantly tried or did. She always depended on him and she hated it. It had been two days since she figured she was sick. Even with all the medication he regularly brought her, she didn't seem to be healing at all. She sighted as she looked out the window, somehow with a smile on her face. The snow was falling down like flurries and it actually made her happy. It then faded as she looked at the door, another argument with her brother. But he was being annoying nowadays. She didn't feel good and yet he didn't stop stressing her. She just wanted to rest.

Noah was at the kitchen with a cup of coffee looking grumpy.

"Huh? Oh, right. Yeah... I was... I--.. There's a chance my family's in Virginia. I was gonna' talk to him and tell him I was planning on leaving at some point today. I can wait, though - You can go speak to him, if you want." He said to her with a nod and a soft smile. (@firejay1)

Brianna yawns slightly as she slowly wakes and makes her way to the door and opens it. "Yeah...? Oh hey Belinda... What is it?" She asked while rubbing her eye.

Elizabeth and Annie having a cup of tea, currently seated in the kitchen with Noah.

Belinda leaned down a bit so she was at eye-level with Brie. "Good morning. I just thought I'd stop by to say goodbye. I'm leaving now. If the others wonder what happened to me, you can just tell them I've left to wander. Okay?"

".. Yeah, sure... I'll only be a few minutes anyway... I don't think we met - I'm Chandler, by the way. I was plannin' to go around and get introduced but I was... I don't know, I was thinkin', mostly. Hope I didn't cause too much concern." He said softly before walking forward and into the office. Norman slowly looked up at him with a death-stare which ran a shiver down his spine, but he still went and sat down nonetheless. "Norman...?" He called out, Norman took a deep breath and lied back, bags forming under his eyes from the two nights that he'd been up.

".. Chandler." He responded in a murmur.

".. I wanted to talk to you, man... I'm leaving." He said to him bluntly, Norman's eyes shot up to meet his own and he started regretting instantly. ".. Nathan said you wouldn't mind. There's a chance that my family's in Virginia; my mother's pregnant, and there's the chance she's alive, Norman. I need to leave." He said to him, taking a deep breath. Norman's stare turned to a saddened one. Chandler stood up and walked over to him; he placed a hand on his shoulder. "It really upsets me that I'm leaving. I want you to know that, dude." He said.

".. Why? What is there to miss about bein' around here with someone like me?" He snarled, Chandler shook his head.

"You've done well, and you've got some great, GREAT people that I would've loved to have met before all this started. You're keepin' it together, man. But you've gotta' calm down, and look after yourself, alright?" He said, patting his shoulder. "I'll head out now... I should be able to get to Virginia in a week or so."

"No... Stay for a few more hours and I'll help you out, okay? Have some breakfast and say goodbye." He said with a nod, Chandler nodded in response and smiled at him before walking out without words, nodding to Tony as he went by. (@firejay1)

Tony had heard the exchange through the door, and wasn't happy with it. She walked inside as Chandler left, closing the door behind her. "Norman. What's going on with you? Are you okay?"

Belinda nodded, starting to feel a little sad about leaving, if only for the younger girl's sake. "I- I have to go. I can't stay here. I have to keep moving." For the first time, a slightly haunted look entered Belinda's eyes. Her brokenness shone through for a second, before she regained control of herself and smiled at the younger girl. "I have a present for you, though, like the bracelet you gave me." The bracelet was still attached to her belt, though looking significantly unhappier after having been battered around for so long. She took out her long-unused cell phone, which hadn't fallen out of her pocket through the entire month through sheer, dumb luck, and undid the little keychain hanging off of it. It was a little shark tooth - a birthday present from her mother in a different life, what felt like so long ago. It was the only thing she really had to give. "Here. You can keep this." She winked at Brie. "So you don't forget me." (@Soul OMU)

Belinda actually felt herself tearing up dangerously as she hugged the little girl back. She choked on any words and simply hugged Brie. Finally letting go, she turned away so Brie wouldn't see her watery eyes, and walked out without another word, vanishing into the distance... ((She'll be back, people. :P ))
