Lazarus
Mikaelson Garden
He could hear Elwin shouting for him as she was set within the house, the dhamphir moving backwards as she was taken from him, a snarl on his face with anger. Lazarus watched in fear as Elwin rushed towards him, shifting into her wolf form and snarling at Reed who spoke of killing the child like he had killed the child's father. Lazarus stepped forward but Maliki was on the other vampire before he could make a move, continuing the fight and knocking Reed away. The violent vampire got up and knocked Maliki away as he became distracted before Reed was knocked a flower bush and then staked, the vampire shouting that his brother was stripped of his name and a disgrace upon the family before killing him. The child buried her face within his legs as she reached him before looking back at the scene, Reed's body going still. For the dhamphir's thoughts, he was as confused as Elwin was concerning what he had witnessed. Why had they not teamed up to kill Elwin when they had the chance? Lazarus's brow furrowed in concern as he watched this scene unfold before patting Elwin's head and turning the child's face away. "Why did you do that?" Lazarus questioned, keeping a hand on Elwin. Vlad might find this interesting information...Nomvula...well she might take the man's head off. He wouldn't blame her if she did.

Eliruz Eliruz (elwin, Maliki)

Vladimir
Vlad's Bungalow
An elder and the master of the secretive and hidden reformed Celestial Order...or what was the beginnings of it with any luck...had gone back to eating his Chita Deer raw, swallowing the meat down and savoring the blood. He was lucky, having gotten away before any more of his claws and his fangs could be taken from him. Others were not so lucky among his race...something that infuriated the elder to no end and caused frustration. Unfortunately his meal was interrupted for a second time when his phone went off but this time the vaewolf was sitting and not half sprawled on the floor ripping into meat with his teeth and claws. Swiping the back of a hand across his mouth, Vladimir grabbed his phone from the coffee table and looked at it before leaning back in his chair and beginning to type out a message.

Location: Custos home | Interacting: Ordan ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon ) | Mentions: Zumitri

The sound of a text message coming in alerted Avicenna, his ears perking up. He looked down at the device resting on the floor, crawling over to it from his spot against the opposite wall. Picking it up, he read the message. It was short and to the point, yet the wolf wasn't sure how to answer. They didn't know the name of the murderer, only that, whoever he was, he seemed to be someone Zumitri had known. Avicenna tried to recollect what the doctor had spoken of back when talking to the murderer, but there was a big block in both his and Xen's mind. Clearly from trauma.

I think it was some guy Zumitri had healed. But he looked like a zombie almost, all scary and injured like.

Sitting there, he received no immediate response, so he scrolled up to read some more of the messages sent between Ordan and Zumitri. Right away, his eyes caught sight of the last message the doctor had sent. Piecing it together, Avicenna sent another text.

Scythia.

Avicenna continued to scroll. There were some messages detailing a tri-pack hunt, whatever that entailed. The most important thing he got out of that was the fact that there were more than just one pack in Ithawell. He wasn't sure why he and his human counterpart had originally thought otherwise, but that hardly mattered now.

A few texts described the construction of something; there was talk of the issue of money and trying to keep the whole thing a secret from yet more people who Avicenna didn't know. It didn't really interest him, so he kept going. Some of the other messages spoke of celebrating Zumitri's birthday and Ordan's anniversary for something Avicenna wasn't privy to. Whatever it was, Zumitri was insistent upon giving Ordan time away from the pack.

Xen sniffled, slowly calming down and sliding back into reality, of course at the worse possible time. "I wish I'd known him sooner so I could've spent more time with him. He really was a good guy."

"It wasn't your fault; don't worry," Avicenna assured, feeling his own heart ache.

Regaining some level of control of his own body, Xen gave a small nod, but he wasn't really sure his wolf was right. If he'd only been a bit faster...

Jaehwa
Location: Beach to Custos villa to outdoors | Interacting: Eden & Adesina ( Eliruz Eliruz ), Ordan if he heard Jae yelling ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

With Eden's compliment, Jaehwa grinned, feeling honored. "It's no problem, really," he assured as she squeezed his shoulder. She turned towards the house but stopped before she could get anywhere, looking back at him. He nodded with a playful salute. "I'll be here. Just holler and I'll be ready to beat some sense into him."

Watching her form disappear into the house, he stayed outside for a few more minutes, taking in the sound of rolling waves. There was a lot on the omega's mind, but he strived to focus slowly on the sounds of the nature around him instead. This was a vacation, after all. He was going to relax, dammit.

Sighing, Jaehwa finally turned and headed back indoors. He thought he smelled popcorn--were some of the others watching a movie without him?--but decided it wasn't worth getting worked up over. He needed to feed Xiulan. Heading into the kitchen, he caught sight of Adesina. "Watching a movie?" he asked, curious. "I may join once I finish feeding Xiulan. She's probably starving... I'm a horrible parent already."

He was interrupted in his efforts to get a bottle of formula ready by a distant, angry scream that turned into a deep howl. Startled, Jaehwa nearly jumped. It didn't sound human... A wolf? A rogue? No, it was oddly familiar... Ordan. It clicked in his brain and he took off, sliding a little as he turned out of the kitchen and made his way to the stairs, which he clambered up with a speed he didn't know he had. He burst into the alpha wolf's room only to find no one there. The balcony doors were open, though. Had he jumped off?

Rushing onto the balcony, Jaehwa cupped his hands around his mouth. "Ordan?!" he called, worried. Then he turned back around, eyes taking in the scene. Had something happened? Someone attacked? No, it didn't look like it...

Ordan's phone dinged. Cautiously, as if it would bite, Jaehwa approached the device. It was opened to Zumitri's contact. Concerned, he read through the most recent ones. His heart sank just after reading the first one that caught his eye. It all made sense now, why Ordan would run away so abruptly. Zumitri was dead. It took him a moment to process that. Ordan's closest friend was gone. He knew how much the doctor had meant to his alpha. Jaehwa couldn't imagine what Ordan must feel right now. If he was that emotionally distressed, he would've run away, too.

Still, there was no way he could handle just sitting here, waiting for the alpha to come back. Heading out of the room and pattering down the stairs, Jaehwa once more returned to the outside air. "Tarquin, we need to track him down." His body began to shift, bones snapping and realigning, causing him to wince in pain. It wasn't as bad as it used to be, but that didn't make it okay.

"Damn right we do," Tarquin growled, reeling to go.

Fully transformed now, Jaehwa took in a long sniff of the air. There was the scent of salt, earth, and sand, but also... Distantly, he smelled Ordan. With no further hesitation, he took off at full speed, trailing after the alpha wolf. Hopefully, Ordan would sense him coming and would stop and wait for him. Or, at least, slow down.

Eden|Custos|Human Form
Ezra's Suite
Interactions: Ezra ( Shaded Shaded )

As Ezra raised his hand to his hair and sat down on the bed, rattling off questions about his mother and replacing it with questions about them, Eden sighed softly and moved forward to stand in front of him. "Actually, you were my first kiss." Studying his features, her expression softened and she bit her lip gently, unsure of how to start. "Well, for starters, yes you did cheat but.." She sucked in a deep breath and rested a hand across her abdomen, her eyes growing sad. "Everything was fine, we were even trying for a child and we finally got pregnant but things weren't looking too good. Your mother had fallen ill and you were spending most of your time with her, trying desperately to nurse her back to health but..she had an illness that couldn't be so easily cured and she ended up passing in her sleep at the hospital. There was nothing they could do." She spoke, her voice beginning to shake a bit.

Looking down at her belly, she traced the scar cutting across horizontally from one side of her abdomen to the other. "I was beginning to stress out and get worried, which caused a raise in my blood pressure and I ended up fainting. I-I landed wrong and I-I couldn't save her, they tried everything but I..I had a miscarriage and I guess that was the last straw for you; after a few months of drinking and staying out late, you met this woman who was supposedly trying to help and you came to me, saying that you fell in love with her and that you wanted to be with her then..took your things and left." With a shaky hand and teary eyes, she sniffled and wiped her eyes carefully, trying desperately to not break down.

Maliki Elwin|Lichen Celestial Order|Vampire Vaewolf
Mikaelson Garden
Interactions: Lazarus ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

Maliki stood, wiping his hands off and moving forward to look at Lazarus and Elwin. "I want to give her a better life, but she seems to know you," he inferred before crossing his arms and watching the Dhamphir; he seemed protective over Elwin, which was a bit annoying but endearing and he was grateful. "I've tried for a century and a half to help Vaewolves, Dhamphirs, and Humans alike; nobody deserves a life of torture and agony except people like my brother. I would've tried to save more but I only had so much money on me at the Auction, which I'm guessing you were at." Elwin whimpered, shifting and clinging to Lazarus' leg, her face hidden within his pant leg. Her eyes flickered up with uncertainty to if the situation would distress at any point. She allowed Lazarus to

"Laz, is it safe to look?" She whispered and tried to look, but he blocked her view and kept a protective hand on her. Maliki noticed that she knew his name and he furrowed his brow. "How do you know her anyways? Why are you here?" The vampire questioned, his eyes slowly returning to their normal brown as he gazed at the Dhamphir with a cautious look.

The Dhamphir began putting the substance into a container and stored it away, deeming it a worthy time for taking a break. Hearing a buzz from his phone, he quickly strode over to the desk and picked his phone up. Silvan unlocked it and read the message; great, so he did have the right number! With an accomplished smile on his lips, he began typing a response, explaining who he was and what he was working on.

Hello, my name is Silvan Sorel. I am a Scientist, I guess you could say. I'm currently working on a solution for defanged and declawed Vaewolves. I was hoping to possibly meet with you to show you what I am working on? I've found a rare compound that is able to mold and heal to muscle; I think it can benefit Vaewolves greatly, but I haven't been able to get in touch with you. My colleague gave me your number.

Feeling confident in his message, he hit send and pushed his phone into his pocket before moving towards the exit of his laboratory to grab some food from his kitchen.

Ordan
Outdoors somewhere on beach
Landing splay legged on the ground, shock went through his body but he didn't notice or care. Leaving Achilles to have free reign, Ordan screamed in anger as he began moving through the varied geography that made up his mind now, all in an attempt to block out Achilles. Now it was the human side's sanctuary as Achilles ran onward away from the villa, disappearing out of sight. Ears flickered as he caught a faint shout from somewhere behind him but Achilles didn't stop, rather the wolf sped his pace up, feeling his human half's anger and grief over his friend's loss, guilt over not only his friend's death but swamped now with guilt that he might never get a cure for his pack and they would be stuck as they were, guilt over the children he never knew that were out there somewhere within the world. Wolves couldn't cry tears like humans, so none shed, but if he had been human at that point he would have been crying. Achilles wasn't sure where they were going, only that it was away from the house, away from the pack, away somewhere so Ordan could grieve. Assuming that his human half did not go feral.

His right eye hurt from the transformation and not being fully healed. It stung as the wolf ran, nearly losing traction on the beach as the wolf ran along the beach, disappearing into the surf at times, then re emerging onto dry land, leaving wet paw prints behind that were washed away by the flow of the tides. The wolf skidded over the sand and the few rocks lining the shore, his ears twitching as he sensed someone following them, a snarl leaving his mouth. Achilles reluctantly slowed down as they reached a sheer cliff blocking their way further, the wolf turning to pace the beach and look for a way around it or over it. Finally he saw something...a steep path heading upwards, the wolf eying it critically and trailing his eyes upwards. Snarling to himself, Achilles reluctantly turned to face whoever was coming, soon catching the scent of Jaehwa. Why was the omega following? Had it head Ordan's shout? Achilles figured it was likely.

Lazarus
Mikaelson Garden
Lazarus kept the child near him as she shifted, glancing down at her briefly before looking back up at Maliki as the vampire spoke of wanting to save humans, vaewolves and dhamphirs. Lazarus inhaled sharply, unlike vampires who didn't need to breathe, vaewolves and dhamphirs still needed to do so. Somehow the vampires' had evolved enough to continue having heartbeats and keep their organs functioning but were always cold or gained that cold over time if they were turned. Dhamphir and vaewolves were warm. His eyes narrowed until there were only faint glimmers of red behind mostly closed eyes as he stared at the vampire, Elwin asking if it was okay to look before Maliki spoke again.

"I have been looking for little cousin here for years," said Lazarus. "Each time I came up empty despite hearing rumors of a child being within the trade.. I know the child's mother...helped raise the child after her father was killed from the time she was born until she was stolen as a toddler."

Vladmir's Bungalow
It was a few minutes before his phone dinged and he glanced at it, flicking on the television in the process. No word yet from Lazarus. He had sent Serenity and Nomvula out as well as Analise to go look for more auctions that might be taking place and see if they could rescue any more cousins. Glancing at his phone, he read over the text message.

Vladimir considered this information carefully, lifting a hand to rub at his chin as he stared down with bright green eyes at the information contained within the text message. What colleague would that be? I have few members in the secret order...was it Nomvula? If so, the master would need to have a talk with his kindred sister at a later date when she got back to Laz's home.

Very well Silvan. I will meet with you moon high tomorrow at the safehouse and you can discuss with me these ideas.

Pressing send, he watched as the message delivered before ripping off a leg and beginning to chow down on it like it was a chicken leg as he watched some international news station out of boredom, his mind mulling over this information. Perhaps he would have someone new joining the Celestial Order...he would really hate to have to kill a potential cousin or one of his own. It was never fun if cousins went insane or his own race went feral or were too broken down to be saved but for death.

Eliruz Eliruz (Silvan)

Ezra H. Hastings
Location: Custos Villa
Interaction: Eden Eliruz Eliruz

Her opening statement was about being her first kiss, and in that moment of curiosity the male werewolf let a smile slide onto his face at the mention of it. Though soon enough it slid down, down into a deep set frown that marred his features while his eyes creased worryingly. She died, yes he knew that, but the flashing stampede of how she died had been a subtle blow to Ezra. He could remember her faintly, how strong she stood, owning up to her mistake with pride and confidence. He remembered the blonde haired woman glaring down at the people who chastised her for having a child so young, and the illness might have even been a draw back of him being born—did he kill his mother? Rubbing at his temples, his eyes slowly began to lift as Eden mentioned something else of importance. Something extremely important.

We—we were going to have a baby?” his voice wavered, green eyes softening as tears began to pool in the corners of his eyes. He might have not remembered mourning the child, but the fact that he didn’t remember that sent him into a catalytic mood as his salty tears streamed down his face into his stubble. Glancing up hesitantly at Eden, he couldn’t think. His usual hesitation wasn’t there as his tearful eyes glanced over the woman. He had no memory of her but a deep rooted connection he couldn’t get rid of—but another root that’s made him, was ripped out the moment it sprouted. The feeling of loss, the mourning feeling he received currently was years worth of buried emotions he couldn’t remember.

Standing to his feet, the male walked up to Eden, the short distance allowing him to envelop her into a hug. He was making her relive the pain, tell him something he shouldn’t have nor had the right to forget. Wrapping his arms around Eden, he didn’t care if he ruined her, but she was feeling the same pain again. He hadn’t been there for her, and now after she didn’t need him he was there at last—a pity, bad timing. He didn’t wipe his tears, only when he stepped back did he bring a thumb up to her cheek to wipe her own tears. “I hurt you, and I can never make it better,” he confided slowly, shaking his head while his chest hurt. Even Elias remained silent, grieving for the half of Ezra, and the male just stood there, his and Eden’s heartbeat his only distraction from his inner turmoil. “Our child, what did we want to name her?” he inquired softly, barely a whisper with his hoarse voice.

Eden couldn't contain her onslaught of tears that were now trickling down her cheeks as he spoke, asking if they really were going to have a child. She gave a slow nod and let her hand drop to her side; she couldn't form any words because of the inner turmoil and agony of the loss of their child. Eden didn't even blame him at this point, seeing the pain it was causing him too. Her eyes flickered up towards his movement, his form blurry from all of the tears coming from her pink, tear filled eyes. She felt his strong arms wrap around her and pulled her into a tight embrace, one that she hesitantly returned; so many emotions, so many happy memories, angry memories, and the sorrowful memories. The female's arms slid around his torso, to which she embraced him back and finally broke, a sob breaking through her lips. She began to cry into his shirt, her hands fisting and wrinkling the material.

As he spoke once more, she could feel the vibration in his chest and his pain as he confided in her. She slowly looked up at him as he reached up and cupped her cheek, wiping away her tears. A hiccup left her lips as he finally asked the name of their child, her tears falling vigorously now, as if it had her emotional all over again. Hesitantly, Eden reached up and cupped his cheek, wiping away his tears with her own thumb and smiled pathetically.

"Her name was going to be Gracey Alexia Hastings, in honor of your mother, Alexia; you loved the name." She whispered, her voice shaky as she caressed his cheek. "You always spoke about it when we first started dating, how you always wanted a daughter named Alexia. You always wanted a daddy's little girl.." With a pained exhale, a sob racked her body but her smile didn't falter.

Jaehwa
Location: Beach | Interacting: Ordan ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

Sensing the alpha wolf was slowing down, Jaehwa quickened his pace, his heart hammering away in his ears. He slipped, finally seeing Ordan, or at least his wolf, standing on the beach. Sand and pebbles were kicked up behind Jaehwa's paws as he slowed down before coming to a complete stop. He was panting, not used to having to move so fast just to keep up. He didn't think he'd ever seen Ordan's wolf get from one point to another that quickly. It was incredible and terrifying at the same time.

"Ordan? Is that you or Achilles? Are you alright?" A bombardment of questions was probably not the best thing to do at this moment, though, so he stopped. "I'm sorry... I saw your phone, the text... I'm so sorry." The omega didn't know what else to say.

"Nuzzle him already, damnit! It's like you're new," Tarquin huffed, practically growling. Jaehwa was about to tell him to shut up, but thought about it. He himself was a hugger. When he was upset or sad, he turned to physical comfort. What physical comfort could he give while in the body of a wolf besides a nuzzle? It seemed utterly ridiculous to him, and not at all an option, so he ignored his wolf's peculiar desire.

Taking a step forward in the sand with his paw, Jaehwa lowered his head, eyes watching the wolf in front of him with worried eyes. "You're probably distressed and grieving right now, but this isn't the way to go about it. You're still injured, Ordan, yet you jumped off a balcony. A balcony. What the hell were you--?!" He snapped his maw shut, knowing exactly what the alpha must've been thinking in those moments: nothing. Surely he was too overwhelmed with emotions to fully process his actions, both then and now. There was no point in scolding him. Jaehwa just needed to get him back to the villa. "Look, no one else has to know about this. I just need to make sure you're alright and in a position to finish healing. Which means safe, indoors, and preferably under 24/7 watch because I swear to god you're going to otherwise give me a heart attack.

"Do... Do you think Zumitri would want you acting this way? Running around, leaving yourself prone to injury, probably making your eye worse? He wouldn't. So come back with me. Please." He paused, taking a wary glance toward in the direction of the villa. "If it is any consolation, I'll... I'll stay by your side until you're okay, until the tears go away. I'm here for you." His voice grew louder, a bit more confident. "And I know you might want to be alone right now, but... not like this. It's unsafe." He was putting his foot, or, rather, paw, down on this matter. He didn't care how much arguing it took; he was taking his friend, the man he loved, back to the villa.

He remained silent, words never coming nor forming for him to utter to console Eden of her and his own loss. A child was long gone, the baby having been miscarried would have carried far more weight on Eden than him—and in the end he had been selfish. That wasn’t what had him distraught, the information of the child had him—a grown man in tears, and the fact that when he held Eden it felt familiar. He wouldn’t have that familiarity anymore, not after this talk, she had moved on and he was only reopening old healed wounds. The man, the one which caused his chest to burn, he helped heal Eden when Ezra couldn’t do it himself. Ezra remained broken because of his own stupidity.

However knowing that, he leaned into the comfort she provided, he would never mend what he did, an impossible task he would fumble to complete anyway. So for the time, he would not grieve for the loss of Eden, he would grieve with her over the loss of their child. She had revealed the name, and it pulled at his chest, “Gracey Alexia Hastings,” he thought to himself, his mind swirling so much he nearly forgot the wolf settling down inside until he heard a hymn in response to his echoed thoughts.

You don’t need to smile, not for me, nor should you force it. Cry, god knows I am,” he attempted at a soft humor that spiraled away, his green eyes closing. He didn’t really move, he would never be as close with Eden as he was then, and so he gave one final question, “When was the due date?” he inquired, gaze faltering as the grown man fought back another set of tears that were beginning to spring forth through his eyes. “When was her birthday supposed to be?”

Eden watched for his reaction, finding his own tears returning and making his eyes watery; he had really changed. He felt horrible for the things he'd done and it was quite obviously written on his face. Blinking desperately to see his expression as he processed the name, she sniffled quietly and shook her head at his lame attempt at the soft humor. She gave a pitiful laugh, but a laugh nonetheless through the sniffles, sobs, and hiccups. Shaking her head and leaning into his touch, she closed her eyes for a moment, relishing his touch.

She hadn't felt his touch in more than a year and it absolutely felt like a small chunk of her own heaven but the thought of Ordan hit her, her heart wrenching to her feet painfully; what would she do with this whole situation? Her thoughts and feelings began to tangle themselves further, causing her smile to waver until Ezra brought her out of her thoughts.
"Her due date?" Eden echoed and allowed a sincere smile to break through. "She was due on May 5th, 2016.."

The female shivered lightly, her own tears beginning to form once more, a shuddering exhale leaving her lips. "A-And if we had a boy, we came up with Chance Lee Hastings. You always talked about having a boy first and then the girl after so he could always protect her, like you never had. A-And.." A lump began forming in her throat, causing her to choke a bit on her words until finally her dam broke once again, another sob leaving her lips. Tears began flooding down her cheeks and her ebony strands began sticking to her rosy tinted cheeks.

Ezra sighed, with his eyes closed he intently listened to her words, she spoke of the due date being the 5th—and his heart stumbled at the thought. The man had to remember that date no matter what, it was supposed to be one of the second happiest says of his life—aside from his wedding day. That thought struck him hard as well, he had gotten married yet it was gone from his mind, and maybe that was what made the other man better than him. If he hadn’t cheated, that man that Eden and her wolf desperately wanted, they would still want that man because Ezra forgot. He was unsuitable because he was the past, and he was so hung up in it even if he didn’t remember it.

Chance—it would have been a wonderful name,” he murmured, thumbs stroking her cheeks as tears wet his fingertips. “It’s alright, you don’t have to dig up old wounds anymore. It hurts—I know because it hurts me,” he confided, before snaking his arms back around her and holding her close. He couldn’t repair the damage, she was broken and his arrival had unglued her pieces that the alpha had done. “I should have never came here, you’d be so much better off,” he observed in her neck and hair before pulling away slightly again. Taking his fingertips, the wolf moved the strands of dark hair that cling to her face, “I’m sorry.”

Ezra had many more tears to shed, his face contorting as he tried to express his apology to Eden even if it didn’t mean anything to her after what he’d done—even when it couldn’t fix anything. The brute didn’t know what to do. He was pulled in any certain direction, no guidance from Elias and no impulses to act on. His mind had shut down in a sense to leave him on his own, no wandering thoughts, only emotional reactions to their conversation. What struck him most, was why Eden came to talk with him. He was sure she might have rather been with the man than him, or at least she had attempted to go to him before rushing to the beach instead. Why had she sacrificed the composure she had left for his sake? He had cheated, abandoned, and practically derailed everything, yet she came to him and spoke of what happened. She didn’t have to, and yet she did.

As the female practically came crashing down and began sobbing, she felt his gentle touch along her cheeks and heard his words; her body relaxed a bit but her sobs only continued. Eden felt his arms snake around her, her arms almost instinctively wrapping around him as she buried her face into his shirt. His scent, the sound of his voice, all of it was making her feel emotional but calming her down all at once, causing her sobs to slowly decrease. Her jade eyes slowly closed and her nose pressed into his chest, her body almost immediately relaxing.

"Is this..our true mate or is Alpha wolf true mate?" Her wolf finally spoke up, feeling the full force of Eden's emotions.

"At this point, Ellie, I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know who to go to.." Eden replied mentally to her wolf before Ellie quietly settled and observed through Eden.

"Don't say that, Ezra.." She whispered, slowly opening her jade optics and gazing up at him as he gently pulled away the strands of ebony tresses that stuck to her cheeks; his touch was gentle, which made Ellie nearly melt. Eden peered up at him and sniffled gently. "There could've been reasons I don't know, but I will admit, yes, it hurts to revisit the past but..sometimes to get over it, you have to revisit it.." The female shivered lightly before stepping forward and pulling him into a hug this time, her nose burying into his shoulder.

"I missed you..so much.."

Maliki grimaced as the male Dhamphir confirmed his assumption; so, this man had known Elwin longer than many. He listened to the man and slowly nodded, his eyes falling onto the clinging child. It was obvious that she didn't want to let go of Lazarus, nor be away from him; she seemed to have a strong bond with her 'older cousin'. The vampire inhaled involuntarily and slid his hands to his sides. "I give my condolences for her and her mother's loss; I had no idea until this point that he'd killed her father. If I could've interfered, I would have and killed the bastard sooner, but he nearly killed my daughter when we discovered he was back." He explained quietly before stepping forward and stuck out his hand out of respect. "I know it seems odd to find a vampire helping out hybrids such as yourself, but I try my best to rescue your cousins. I will help in any way possible to keep this girl safe, you have my word." Elwin looked up, her gaze flickering between the two men; she didn't know how to feel about Maliki yet, but Lazarus, she trusted with her life. Reaching up, she grabbed a hold of his free hand and held it close to her body, squeezing gently.

"I wanna see mom.." She whispered quietly and let her eyes go downcast, staring at her shoes.

The male quickly put away the container of substance and got up from his lab chair, stretching out his body with a loud yawn. After stretching, he quickly picked up his phone once it buzzed and checked the message. He couldn't help but smile; Vlad agreed to look over his work! He began typing back, making sure to be careful with word choice.

Hello, I really hope I am not bothering you but is this Vladimir Mortem? I have some things I would like to talk to. My name is Silvan Sorel, and I've been working on some new technology that could change things. If not, please disregard this message and delete it!
them
Yes it is. What things and how did you get this number?
me
Hello, my name is Silvan Sorel. My colleague gave me your number.
them
Something to benefit vaewolves. By this I am assuming you are not a form of prey but a cousin.
them
Very well Silvan. I will meet with you moon high tomorrow at the safehouse and you can discuss with me these ideas.
me
Ah, yes. I am a Dhamphir, as many of my colleagues. I look forward to the meeting; thank you!

Hanah was scared when she saw how fast Maliki was, as he moved to window, front of her and out of room faster than she could blink. After Maliki had shut door, she walked to window to look what he had seen, but she didn't see anything, it was too dark. She then backed up to corner and sit down on floor, holding her knees. These people are scary, Maliki was faster than anyone who she had known before and could see when she couldn't.

Her sobs seemed to come down more forcefully, she needed to let everything out now, and as she might state—sometimes digging around in old wounds could help them heal all over again. She had been crying for a long moment in his shirt, him holding her for comfort, while his mind was on a temporary shut down after the information passed to him. He wasn’t overwhelmed with grief, he held it in his chest but he wasn’t being weighed down by it—he would have to handle it some how. Maybe keep himself away from everyone else and allow Elias to remain in control until he could meet their eyes.

Don’t say that, Eden,” he murmured after she mentioned missing him. He had burned her, scorched her heart with what he had done. Ezra didn’t believe he had the right nor the place to have her speak of missing him. Aside from that, when she said that, it gave him hope. He had hope that it wasn’t all too impossible to gain her favor again, be her support, and be there when he wasn’t before. “Thank you, you didn’t have to tell me anything but you did...I shouldn’t keep you here for long, huh?” he informed, his own voice weighing down before she pulled him into a hug. He relaxed himself, arms looping around her once more, “You should go to him, you like him, yeah? He should be able to do what I never could,” he nearly sniffled as he took a deep breath, he couldn’t find himself letting go though. The only memories he had with her that he could remember was right then and there.

Ordan
Beach
As the wolf thought, it was the omega who had come to find him. The not mother according to his human half. Achilles stood there, feeling Ordan slipping further and further away as he vanished into the trees of the forest, the wolf keeping one eye on Ordan and one eye on Jaehwa as the wolf panted after slowing to a stop before speaking. The wolf parted his jowls as he listened to Jaehwa speak, the wolf barking at Jaehwa asked if it was Achilles as remaining silent at his human half’s name. The alpha’s ears pinned back against his head as Jaehwa began questioning him, stating he had seen Ordan’s phone and learned of Zumitri’s death. The wolf rumbled in answer, lowering his head as that was brought up. “Ordan is too grieved to speak right now omega,” growled Achilles. “His last remaining human ties and connection to that life was brutally taken from him by his friend’s murder and he learned it from a rogue who stole from our house apparently that Zumitri has taken in after catching. A rogue whelp that asks for our help.”

Achilles exhaled as he stared at Jaehwa, listening to the the other wolf as it spoke to him concerning Zumitri not wanting Ordan’s to potentially injure himself. “Blow upon blow upon blow has shattered Ordan’s psyche for the moment. Zumitri’s death was the last straw and I am doing everything I can to keep my human side from going feral. There are...other things that contributed to me being given control in the past few hours...but what hurts the most is the severance to his friend’s death and the guilt for not making Zumitri come with him on this vacation. Without Zumitri there may not be a cure found for the pack.”

“Gone...” Ordan’s mental voice was strained and hollow, the wolf’s ears twitching and rising up to point forward at Jaehwa as the omega spoke, the human side only now barely registering the young male’s appearance. It was heart wrenching to hear the brokenness sense of overwhelming loss in the wolf’s voice, to see it in his good eye...see the lost look within. “Scythia...alive. How? I felt him die...I know I killed him! Betrayed....again...never should have bought him.”

Lazarus

Lazarus continued to watch the vampire, the dhamphir’s eyes opening once more. “Hawaii and the Pacific ate a safe haven for us cousins. The packs here do not seek to murder us and neither do the humans like on the mainland,” spoke Lazarus. “You should not know if the existence of dhamphir and vaewolf, even if you are a noble vampire...as far as we know the mainlanders consider us cousins a myth and story. Extinct and now that there are rumors of mainland packs here...”

Lazarus frowned as his voice trailed off, the dhamphir’s eyes furrowing. This was bad information. He looked down at Elwin, then back up at Maliki as the vampire offers his condolences which was another strange thing. The vampire then held out his hand to shake and Lazarus glanced down at it, then at the vampire’s face. Mentally shrugging, even as his dark side resisted the urge to treat the vampire like an equal when it had enslaved little cousin and could kill it, something Lazarus fully agreed with, the dhamphir did the polite thing and shook the vampire’s hand.

Releasing it, he looked down at Elwin as she said she wanted to see her mother. “Nomvula is...busy but you need to get proper nourishment. I din’t Imagine you have been fed properly since you were taken from us,” said Lazarus. “I’ll take that corpse. It might give her mother a semblance of peace to know the vampire that took her mate is dead. As for you little one...I’m surprised to see you use your abilities with likely not having blood or meat to fill you. You certainly inherited your father’s strength from what your mother has said when she speaks of him.”

Eden's sobs quieted into an uneven breathing, her eyes feeling sore and a bit puffy; how could he even hold her at this point? She was a blubbering mess and couldn't stop her tears coming. The female asked herself why he had even come here; did he miss her too? How could he if he couldn't remember? Eden shook her head as he spoke, the lump making it hard for her to speak but she managed to push out a few, strained words.

"I-I mean it.." She whispered against his chest and knew this would make things complicated but she needed this right now; everything was so confusing and this was one thing that was real at this point, he was here. Closing her eyes and sighing, she connected his mind to hers through a mind link.

"Just hush and focus on me. I want to show you something.." Eden murmured before squeezing her eyes shut and allowing memories to be shared. Images transferred to his mind like copies, playing one memory by another, showing their first kiss, their first date, even their first date, even their first fight. Her energy began to dwindle but she fought to stay upright. Her hands quickly grabbed ahold of his shoulders and her connection continued to allow memories to be shared through the strong mindlink. His mother and her strong spirit were shown in many memories of having dinner with her, going to her house to surprise her for her birthday; so many memories were shared and transferred to Ezra that Eden's legs began to shake. The last memories she was able to push through the waning connection was the first part of her pregnancy, happiness, confusion, so many emotions swarming within so many memories that were now his too. Growing dizzy, Eden leaned against Ezra heavily, her legs nearly giving out.

Nodding slowly as he listened, Maliki furrowed his brow. He knew that they were said to be a myth, but he'd met a few in his centuries. "I have heard the stories and myths of your kinds yet it's been a long time since I've spoken to one." The vampire murmured before combing his fingers through his dark locks. "When we were out today, I managed to find a small doe for her to feed on, though it seemed she was still hungry. And as for the corpse, you can have it; it is no longer a matter of my family. You may do what you please with that bastard; light him ablaze if that is what her mother wishes." He waved at the body dismissively. Elwin licked her lips at the mention of food. "Someone said that I look like dad; I think it was mom. And I am a bit hungry again.."

Her words were what brought a dull ache, and when he felt the pull towards her mind, his own attempted to rear away at the sudden touch before calming and accepting the mindlink. He wouldn’t put a wall up and block her out, no, if she felt his emotions and he felt hers, then so be it. Ezra was patient, he waited for her to show him something as she stated she would do for him. When she started expressing memories, he had to take a moment to recuperate as her memories and images flooded his mind continuously. First he saw their kiss, then a date, a few dinners with his mother—her stubborn eyes sparking with dedication as he faintly heard the mumbling of his mother asking and interviewing Eden. Her voice was muffled and barely came through before there was another dinner that had entailed them all laughing even talking and rambling on about something. Next on the memory train was the baby, it was the last bit of information he had been given from Eden.

He could feel the emotions Eden felt when delivering the news to him, and even saw his own reaction as it lit up his face. Ezra could feel his cheeks being soaked again, the memory enticing something else to start up in his mind. He didn’t know if she would see it but, he saw it clearly in his head. It was Eden, walking down in a white adorned dress, dark hair tied back loosely. He could hear music faintly thundering in he back ground, playing a repeated noise and then he could feel his nervousness, and how eager he was. He could feel his hands clam up, sweat making his hands flex at he contemplated what could be an outcome. Then it was over, his head overwhelmed but so was Eden as he opened his eyes to see her nearly topple over. Grabbing her gently by the shoulders, he guided her towards the bed to sit down. “You didn’t have too—thank you...are you alright?” he inquired bringing his hand to her cheek, palm pressing into it as his tears attempted to dry themselves up.

Eden's tears began to flow once more, her mind becoming overwhelmed and her body beginning to weaken. With the help from Ezra, the female stumbled to the bed and took a seat on the edge. Trying to regain herself and focusing on calming herself down, she felt a hand slide across her cheek; her skin was beginning to tingle. The female lifted her eyes to find him looking over her with worried expression before speaking, asking if she was alright. In response, she gave a small nod and leaned into his hand. She lifted her eyes to his, raising her hands to his face and wiping away his tears. Through her tears, she somehow managed to smile at him.

"You needed to see for yourself; I wanted you to see instead of just sitting in the dark."

Eden's words held sincerity and a glimmer of some warm emotion within her mossy depths. Her thumbs carefully moved over his wet cheeks, continuing to wipe away his tears. With a settled mind and a more calm breathing pattern, she began letting her thoughts wander as she studied the man in front of her. What was she to do now? What was Ezra going to do? Everything seemed so normal for the slightest moment.

Lazarus
Mikaelson Garden
Lazarus shook his head as he heard this information, filing it away to speak to Vladimir about. "Probably because vampires and werewolves tend to kill us in the past," said Lazarus dryly. Listening as Maliki said he could have the body, the dhamphir left Elwin and went over to the body, yanking the fence shard sticking in the body before dropping it and then hefting the body onto his shoulders. As it was mentioned that he had found Elwin a deer and that she still seemed hungry, Lazarus wasn't surprised. "Their hunger is insatiable...they need blood same as you or me but their is also their wolf side craving raw flesh from anything. Like you or me, we can't live on animal blood...she needs the blood of a human, a vampire, or a werewolf to feel fully quenched of thirst. That she has managed to survive this long without a proper meal is surprising, let alone that she could shift at all," said Lazarus. As Elwin spoke of her parents, Lazarus shrugged. Letting go of the body, he dropped it on the ground. "You can get some meat and blood from this," he said, kicking the body towards the child. "Not a lot...you'll get sick and make a mess. Afterwards I need to leave."

Elwin watched Maliki, her eyes flickering between the two as they shook hands. Her stomach growled in protest to her growing hunger and whimpered softly, holding her tum; Maliki was starting to look like a snack to her, her feral side slowly surfacing. Her eyes began reddening to a glowing crimson at the sound of the body dropping and her gaze snapped over to the corpse. Maliki watched with a sickened stomach, but knew this was what they had to do to survive; he felt somewhat fortunate to only need blood every-so-often.

Elwin blurred forward, her claws extending and her fangs elongating past her lips; she could only control the constant hunger for flesh for so long. With a watering mouth, she looked up at Lazarus with an uncertain until he told her she could eat a bit from the corpse. The little girl who seemed so innocent at first raked her sharp claws along the body's arm, easily slicing it off with a vicious rip.

Backing away with the arm, she crouched down, driving her fangs through the cool flesh and taking off chunks. She let out a satisfied grunt and continued to chow down on the arm until there was only cleaned bones left on the ground. Maliki watched, his pale features unchanging; this is what Reed got for the crimes he committed through his century of life. Looking down at the young girl, Maliki sucked in a deep breath and handed her a handkerchief. Elwin gratefully took it and licked her lips clean before wiping her face. Turning to Lazarus, she smiled happily and ran to him, wrapping her little arms around him, her eyes returning to their stunning blue.

"Thank you, Laz! I missed you! Now can we go see mommy?" She asked, eager to see her mother.

I see, I really do see it now,” he murmured, slowly getting down to his knees, he didn’t remove his hands from her cheeks as he sat on his knees with his elbows pressing into the ground. The dirty blonde haired male sighed, his chest rising before he let out an exhale quickly and briefly, he had no recollection of anything before meeting Eden, she brought a large chunk of what he needed to know back—he couldn’t ever repay her nor be able to make it up to her. He needed to figure it out, he needed to work some kind of miracle to give himself a chance, and make her happy—even if he never got it. “I might not be the same Ezra, but I need to own up to my mistakes, and I promise I’ll do what I can. You gave me the life I couldn’t remember, and it means everything to me—you mean everything to me,” he murmured. Snaking his fingers through her locks of dark hair on instinct. It felt good, kneeling before Eden, trying to soothe her pain. It was working as well, she wasn’t crying or wheezing as she had been before.

Lazarus

Lazarus watched as the child looked up at him and then rushed towards the corpse he dropped of the vampire that had slain her father. The dhamphir glanced at the vampire who seemed sickened by what he saw but made no move to stop the child. She was luckier than most, not having been subjected to slavery for much longer, lest she lose her claws and fangs. "Hmmm did you?" Lazarus questioned as the child came up to him after taking the handkerchief from Maliki and using it to wipe her face off blood, the arm now nothing but bone. Walking towards the corpse, Lazarus knelt and picked up the corpse, slinging it over his shoulder before picking the child up and holding her against him. He didn't even look at Maliki now as he cloaked them and then turned the bodies of himself, Reed and Elwin into smoke before rising up into the air and floating away on the wind.

Eden felt the bed shift, opening her eyes to find Ezra slowly kneeling down, his hands still upon her warming cheeks. Her gaze softened and she allowed her fingers to caress his jaw gently; he was studying her and spoke once more, making her nearly melt where she sat. She meant everything to him? Not being able to form any words, she leaned into his touch and smiled, giving one that was actually genuine. "Thank you.." She whispered before happy tears began welling up in her eyes. Her body was relaxed as his fingers combed through her long ebony locks; she couldn't help but feel odd..like the missing link was filled in her life once more.

With a loud yelp, she clung onto Laz and whimpered as an odd sensation came over her. "W-What's happening?! Laz!" The child cried, burying her face quickly.

Preston Takett | Rogue | Human Form
Pharmacy

Preston arrived at the small pharmacy once again ready for another workday. He had noticed how dull and slow the weeks had become, even with the various anxieties. He greeted his superior with his usual 'enthusiasm' before heading to the back room. He removed his denim jacket, which revealed his blank, work casual t-shirt underneath, and headed into the main room again with a box in held firmly in his hands. He retrieved various curios from the container and placed them on the shelves. It was nothing of importance, just small retail items that required no note or medical recommendation to purchase. Overall, he seemed bored out of his mind as he placed item after item onto the shelf. The man working the register chatted idly, but the words bounced generally bounced off of Preston. His responses were short and concise.

Of course, it was impossible to see the nervousness beneath the skin. Internally, Preston carefully calculated his next moves for the week. He had used his free time during the past month expertly. He had kept a careful and silent eye on the pack activity around him, as well as the organizations that he held any knowledge of. As it stood, there was little of interest to him, but he still remained watchful. Silently, he calculated everything to keep himself safe; the clearest route home, the best times to hit the markets, the people to talk to and the ones to avoid. Though he could recognize old packmates by scent, there were still several others that evaded his senses until it was too late. Too many close calls had led him to remember every face that he encountered, and specifically avoid the ones that gave him the wrong vibe.

After stocking the regular shelves as need be, Preston took some of the pharmaceuticals for himself. Anything that might sell on the streets was worth taking if he could keep the 'boss' from seeing noticing. He hated the idea of thieving from an unsuspecting human, but he admitted daily that the wage his work paid simply wasn't enough to get by, even in the lower streets. He took a deep sigh and returned to the back room for other duties. He hid the goods in a protected spot and returned to work, still keeping his ears open for anything interesting.
