The female bobbed her head in response and followed after the male vampires, her muscles taut under her fur. A growl left her maw as she passed her Alpha, her green eyes glowing intensely. As she neared the door, she came to a stop and watched with caution as one stepped towards the door and listened in, giving feedback on what's inside.

Adesina uncloaked herself, appearing next to Eden, her finger to her lips. With an understanding glint in the wolf's eyes, she remained silent and readied herself to jump in when the door was opened. The female vampire looked towards Larkin and Blake, her silver eyes narrowing. They could bust in there but it would be very risky; Jae, Silvia, and a newborn was in there. Cloaking herself once more, she awaited for any signals.

"Oh! Well..my ability allows me go mind link sort of, so if I can pinpoint where she is, I could follow her..signal almost." The female tried to explain and smiled faintly. Motioning for her to follow Sienna, she began making her way upstairs. Trying to mind link to the Alpha's mate, she concentrated and managed to find a connection. Sienna quickly turned towards the direction of the mental pull, leading Eveleen through many halls until finally reaching Paulina.

Sighing softly, she dropped the connect and put a mental wall up to regain some of her energy back; her ability took some of her energy. With a smile, she dipped her head in respect to Paulina.

Location: Outskirts Ithawell
Zumitri finished the chicken nugget and swallowed before taking another one as the woman spoke, drawing herself up proudly as she introduced herself as Arya, beta of Boreal. "Zumitri Uldaroc," he said, holding out a hand for the woman to shake. "A doctor at Ithawell General." It was only fair to give his occupation as the woman had given hers after all. "Waiting for permission to enter a friend's home," said Zumitri. "Though..." he looked back at his phone "...it seems I will be making another trip back to the hospital but I do have some basic supplies if you are injured."

Audrey/Nisha
Location: Healing Room, Custos
After five months of being a vampire, it would all come to an end tonight, leaving her with one child kidnapped and her other child...no both children if her son were alive...orphaned. Audrey didn't know it at the time as she kept a tight grip on the figure that held the knife to her throat, the lavender not a danger to her kind to her knowledge though her knowledge of vampire life was limited. Her dark side only saw and smelled the several threats to its remaining child and knew it had to protect the child, no sign of its alpha about. "Betrayed...cast aside...rejected!" her dark side screamed. "Daughter...danger...protect. Food!"

Audrey, or rather her dark side growled out something indiscernible and impossible to make out before the blade pressed against her throat cut through the skin. Audrey laughed as the blade cut into her skin, the lavender clouding her nose as she listened to her daughter's crying that seemed to become more distressed, the vampire not even focusing on the wolves so much anymore as her throat was cut again, sending the teen's body spasming as the blade cut into her again and again, the woman's grip surprisingly tightening further despite her head essentially being hacked off as she struggled, clawing the girl and at the same time trying to reach her daughter...unfortunately the blood loss she had suffered from Nisha ripping out of her with the explosion and being pursued earlier plus the blood welling out of her throat at the moment was making the vampire woozy and causing her heart rate to again fluctuate. However it wasn't the blood loss that killed her, nor the likely cardiac arrest she was experiencing but the decapitation. Her grip slackened as she felt the knife cut through her trachea, causing blood to flow up through her throat as it was cut and well up in her mouth.

Not only had she not gotten to see her son at all when he had been born but she had failed him and now was failing her daughter. She choked for several minutes on her own blood, mouth trying to speak both her children's names, before the blade finally cut through the woman's vertebrae and her head rolled off the table and onto the floor, her grip finally loosening enough for the woman to wrench her hand free, the eyes still red but now glazed over and lifeless.

In another part of Ithawell...hidden underground and several feet of dirt and cement, Malachi's eyes opened and glowed with intensity as he sensed something was wrong, the infant fussing slightly before exhaustion overcame the newborn and he fell back asleep without alerting his new...the woman who would take him under her wing, while in Custos, his twin also seemed to sense her mother's death and began screaming bloody murder, her golden eyes turning crimson like her mother's had been...like her father's had been when he'd turned her mother, only being a darker shade of crimson.

Cocking her head to the side, the vampire watched with hard gray eyes as the pair interacted with one another. She had forgotten how humans were rather similar to wolves—they were far more closely related than vampires were. When wolves were turned it made even more noticeable exhibitions of human like qualities carried over, Hell she was still partial to slouching and breathing out of habit. She didn’t exactly understand it, why she went to the mundane tasks of living—something which was stripped of her and then granted to her in a different way.

Running her fingers through her hair one more time, she pin pointed her eyes towards Arya, she had heard something that she didn’t which had her turn her head nearly the same way the wolf had before shrugging it off. Casting a rather hungered gaze towards the human she kept to herself before growing bored on waiting for them to finish—one had to kill the other. “How does he know so much?” she inquired, her voice was more so traveled through telepathic communication, a fairly fun thing to play with when packmates were around, she liked a good joke every now and again so when she thought of one someone had to hear it...even if it was a bad one. She had heard the conversation, deeming him too informed, it was an issue of course but she didn’t exactly state that—they seemed to be having a mutual conversation which she had lacked since going on the road again.

Arya
Arya felt her packmate link with her mind. "I'm not sure but I think he knows someone from the Custos." She answered. She could feel Harper's hunger through the link. "If I were you, I'd hand over the food and get out of here. I don't like the taste of human, but others in these woods wouldn't think twice about draining you dry." She said leaning back on her arms. She didn't really care much if Harper fed on him a little. She didn't hate humans but she didn't like them much either. She had a feeling though that if something was to happen to this one that Custos would have something to say about it and with Isabella gone Arya wasn't going to put her pack at risk.

Jaehwa
Location: Custos healing room | Interacting: 040 ( Lenny2000 Lenny2000 ) | Mentions: Audrey {rip} & Nisha ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon ), Silvia ( Shaded Shaded )
Jaehwa was in a full-blown panic. Tears were streaming down his cheeks. He'd just watched a woman get murdered. Her head was lying on the floor. Her head. And what of her baby? A crying, screaming mess. And Silvia? She looked just as messed up as he was. Blood was everywhere. On the bed, on the floor, on the human... and it was now on him as he was picked up.

The human held him in front of her and pressed a blade to his throat. Jaehwa swallowed, struggling a little before stopping moving altogether. He even held his breath, too frightened to make any movements, too shocked to call out for help. When she finally answered his question, her voice was barely above a whisper, and it brought even more tears to his eyes.

Although he didn't understand her side of things, he knew where she was coming from. He too wanted to escape. He too wanted to be free. But maybe not from the same things. The curse was what he craved to be rid of. He just wanted to be relieved of it and its burden. In that way, Jaehwa related to her, to this human who clung so desperately to her life. If only he could find the words to say so.

His thoughts were cut short. The door was blown open, the cabinet falling over shortly after. It was the responsibility of the last person Jaehwa expected to see: Blake.

Blake
Location: Custos hallway | Interacting: 040 ( Lenny2000 Lenny2000 ) | Mentions: Ordan ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon ), Larkin ( Shaded Shaded )

Upon taking in the scent of fresher blood, Blake's eyes narrowed. The human had been able to take out one of the supernaturals in there? Sure, some humans were stronger than others, but to overpower a supernatural... Perhaps he'd been underestimating the Blood Order. Either that or this human really, really wanted to live. That strong will intrigued him if only a little bit. He would have to question her before draining her of all her blood.

Then again, now that he thought about it, Lichen could use a blood slave. Even he had thought about going out and purchasing one. Even told Larkin he would a few weeks ago. Perhaps it would be nice to get a slave like that for no cost. He'd have to think more about it later. For now, he needed to restrain this human before it ended up killing someone else. No doubt Ordan was getting madder by the second.

Taking a few steps back, Blake charged at the door, slamming into it with all his might. It tore off his hinges and slammed into the cabinet behind it. The cabinet wobbled briefly before toppling over, hitting the ground with a tremendous thud. He clapped his hands together, taking sight of the hostage being held by knifepoint by the human. It was the same subordinate of Ordan's who'd spoken up against him earlier.

Blake glared at the omega, not feeling up to rescuing him. All he'd agreed to do was help take out the human, not protect the Custos members it'd taken hostage. Especially not that one. His hesitation was evident in his stance before he made up his mind. He wouldn't go all out. There was no need.

"Why don't you let the mutt go, human?" he asked in as sweet of a tone as he could manage. "You're clearly outmatched; surely you see that." His eyes found their way over to Audrey's decapitated corpse. So it was only the fledgling that the human had managed to kill. Even still... "I'll give you to the count of five."

Ken
scorpiodragon scorpiodragon

As Ken spent his romantic exchanges with her he valued her more as a mate than her boss, his previous professionalism of a défiler thrown out as he went rogue as now a caring and passionate lover to her. And will soon be a loving husband and father to her as internally he wants to help her raise the kid. Of course recovery was a first and she wanted him to get better and he knew that well so he drifted off from his fantasy of being with her before he clings around her for support and walks to the bed, lying down again as a bit of blood reaches he top level of the bandage and is now visible. The bleeding must have gone for a while.

Alice was smiling at her new mate and cuddles up to him and smiles , feeling closer to him in bond as she kisses under his chin submissively " i don't wanna... I wanna be by you...you make me feel happy ." She defiantly clings close to him and huffs as she closes her eyes wanting to stay like this forever .. but not be like This..."hey... Icarus... when can we escape.. I'm still hungry and I don't know when we will get food.. I wanna get out of here..."

040

As she was holding onto Jaewa he was balling and crying like a baby and that made her only more mad as she wasn't one that liked crybabies " oh my god will you-" her sentence was stopped as her eyes widened to Blake walking in and blowing off the door and cabinet . Her nerves shaking lightly from first instincts from the power of that supernatural that was out of her ballpark. As he talked about letting jaewa go she takes another look at him and she saw him crying like a three year old, tears running down his face and snot as well before looking at Blake "c-come on!... just look at that hostage! He is a crying baby , a true pathetic runt, it would be better off for all of us to have him killed..." she was shaking by then as he started giving the five second warning as. She started shaking , not knowing what to do as she starts to freak out , she will be torn to shreds out there if she hurt him ..at two seconds left she let go of jaewa and pushed him to a wall before approaching to blake and handing over her weapons, not daring to look at him as she is disgusted at herself to surrender like that ..." you win... please don't hurt me or kill me.." she pleads as she is now in his hands

Zumitri
Location: Outskirts Ithawell
Zumitri just smiled as he bit into the chicken nugget as he was told to leave his food and leave. So she is one of those traitors to society that Ordan described Boreal as. Interesting...and she thinks she can threaten me. That's actually...amusing. "Interesting...a wolf who doesn't partake in the eating of its old kind," said Zumitri, "and from a feral pack as well." How very interesting. "So...you're not injured and yet want to steal my food?" Zumitri questioned.

Boreal...Boreal...what had Ordan said?

Ordan was waiting for him in McDonald's of all places, the rogue shoving some papers in front of him as soon as they had ordered food. "What is this?"

"Packs...there are mixed packs of vampires and werewolves here. That's what has been committing these murders."

Zumitri took the papers as he sipped his soda, listening to Ordan speak. "There's one called Lichen. Apparently they live eto the west of Ithawell in the Badlands. Apparently they're run by some bloke named Blake...don't much on him but that he's a leech and they're made up of purebloods. Born monsters who feed on human blood and flesh. True monsters who have never known suffering."

Ordan bit into a fry and then spoke as his friend rifled through the papers and then to the second pack. "The second one is like me in a way."

"That means you can join right? I mean...I assume werewolves operate the same way as wolves right?"

"No! I'm not joining those....mutts and leeches...those traitors to society!" Ordan growled. "They may be like me, bitten wolves and vampires, but they eat people! They hurt people like us...like you Zumitri, like these people around us. Their vampires hunt humans for their blood and their wolves hunt for the meat. They also live in the Black Hills. Led by a female werewolf named Isabella. Apparently those two packs are at odds with each other but no...I have not yet found anyone who is like me. There is no place for us. That's why...I'm going to make one."

"Make one?"

"A pack. We'll be the Guardians of Ithawell...I don't know yet what it will be called."

"Custos."

"What?"

"Custos...it's Latin for Guardian."

"Custos..." Ordan ran it over his tongue, running it through his brain as he ate while Zumitri looked over the papers. "I like it. Thanks Zumitri!"

"Yeah...you're welcome," said Zumitri. "So..what are you going to do with this pack? How are you going to get members?" Where will you live?

"I don't know how I'll get members. Can't exactly go out and say there's a pack for werewolves and vampires that hate their lives and want to commit suicide. I'll start working on a cure but I need to build a house first...that will take money. As for living..." he chuckled at Zumitri's surprised look. "I know where. That...what's it called park? The one out east with the plains?"

"Custer State Park?"

"Yeah...is that named after that moron who killed all those Indians?"

"Uhhh...I don't know," admitted Zumitri. "So you're going to be a protector of sorts for the humans and try to find a cure?"

Ordan nodded. "Protectors of the humans against the monsters of Lichen and Boreal...and against the Blood Order as well and this fabled other order."

"Other order?"

"Abominations...Celestial Order though info on these two orders are a pain in the ass to find. I think they're either destroyed or buried in the dark web."

"Ordan...that's a lot of work for one man...but I'll help you with a cure."

"Good...I knew I could trust you Zumitri." Ordan took the papers back. "Someone has to protect them....from monsters and...this human vigilante group."

Zumitri shook himself as the flashback ended. "I would be very careful Arya who you threaten," said Zumitri, lifting a hand and causing a ball of lightning to appear within it. One of the human abilities they had to defend themselves with. "To my knowledge your pack is going to hell in a handbasket to quote a human saying. You have no leader because she disappeared...abandoned you and yours without just cause from what I can see and are attracting too much attention to yourselves by going around hunting people...just as Lichen is." Zumitri's tone had for a moment gotten lower and dangerous before speaking again in a calm manner. He did not attack the wolf...he had tested his abilities on Ordan...at the werewolf's request which was a twofold reason. "If you need food, I can give you money to buy your own food. But attacking me will not be a good idea for what is left of your pack," he said. Ordan would go nuts and be more than glad to start a war...actually a complete...well it probably wasn't a genocide. A bloodbath if he lost his friend and pack doctor. Ordan wouldn't stop...he would slaughter every man, woman and child there.

Blood...he could smell it. Blood and death...even without one of the leeches saying someone had died. The alpha's claws dug into the wooden floor they were standing on...shouting could be heard...a baby's screaming. It made his ears pull back to his head in annoyance, a feral growl coming from the wolf as he parted his jaws, saliva hanging off them. It had been years since he'd eaten human flesh. If Jaehwa or Silvia were injured or deceased...the alpha couldn't deny he would enjoy eating the woman...dead or alive. Achilles seemed to crave the taste as well for he could practically feel the inner wolf's excitement at the thought at warm meat again.

He watched as Blake broke down the door, a sigh escaping him. That would cost money to fix and by the sounds of it he needed a new cabinet. Which would also cost money. The alpha rumbled to himself but those things mattered little compared to his omega and healer. The wolf stalked forward, blood coming out of the room and messing up his senses. Shaking his head, Ordan focused on Jaehwa, hoping his omega was alright. The alpha wouldn't forgive himself otherwise. "Jaehwa...are you safe? Is Silvia okay? Who died?" Please be alive.

Basilia got Ken back into bed, not knowing his fantasy playing in his thoughts or where it led but seeing the bandages she sighed to herself. "Don't move Ken," she said as she then left to get more thread and needle, more bandages and gauze as well as scissors to cut the bandages. The woman came back and carefully cut the bandage where the blood was, then unwrapping it from his torso and tossing it on the floor before beginning to clean the wound and remove the bust stitches. Stitching him up again, she didn't say anything until she was done, stitches criss crossing each other before putting gauze and wrapping new bandages around him, having him sit up enough to help her before laying him back down. "You are not to get out of this bed Ken until you're better," she said. "If I have to, I will place Shadows here to watch you if I am needed elsewhere." When she was done, she just set everything on the side table before getting to her feet. Coming back with her shortcake, she carried it back with the pitcher of water and set both on the side table. Sitting down on the bed, she began eating her treat, listening for the baby but all was quiet within the other room.

Icarus looked at Alice as she attempted to snuggle up to him as he got dressed, the hybrid rolling his eyes as the girl whined about being parted from him. Wrapping her arms around him and practically clinging to him before whining. But his assumption was right...his instincts and soul had settled down with the breeding and marking her as his. I suppose I owe that wolf a favor, he thought to himself. "I don't know when or if we are going to leave," said Icarus. "I'd like to leave but I'm not in the best shape right now to fight through the alpha and whatever other pack members he has up there. I was knocked out when coming here so I don't know my way away from here but I know that is the only way in or out of this place. We'd have to go through the house and we'd be killed."

The blonde haired male smirked as Blake had enough, he watched as he slammed his shoulder against the door before barging in like some kind of monster—well they were proclaimed to be monsters. He stepped inside, shoes stepping through the threshold as he examined the area. A baby was wailing, a rather irritating but familiar sound as he stepped pass towards that area. By now she had already moved to surrender, he just glided around. He had taken a surgery of the room from where everyone stood.

By the time he stepped in Blake had it all under control, and so he let Blake celebrate getting his catch. Alphas eat first, so he would wait for his own turn by looking over the child—his blue eyes glancing over the young babe before he remembered looking down at his own children when they were born. Placing a hand on the child he meant to send calming emotions towards her, he knew he couldn’t exactly give her the exact comfort she needed but he would exhibit some kind of safety. “Where is th—I see,” he murmured as he looked over towards the headless body. It was the fledging, her head taken completely off.

Turning around to face Blake, he raised a brow, “You disarmed her quickly, you didn’t even have to strike a blow, dare I say this is improvement my alpha,” he teased breathlessly before regaining himself as he noticed the other pack nearing towards the room. Looking down to the baby he waggled his brows before returning to a simple grin and bright blue eyes. The child would need to feed, mourn, and grow. She was rather petite and hungry, he hoped whoever would take care of her after that moment would be up for the task.

Since she did hand herself over, sir, maybe she can live as long as the alpha of Custos is alright with it, we can return her to the pack,” he shrugged, it wasn’t hard to latch onto his words, he knew Blake probably already considered it and if not then Larkin brought it up for him to consider. Leaving the baby, even if he didn’t want to, he stopped beside Blake, watching as she handed her blades to him, they were coated in something and he was tempted to touch one of them before noticing Jaehwa in the back. He had been the hostage.

His brow raised, a bit concerned and a bit amused at the wolf’s expression, he hadn’t seen much violence yet. He would prove to be a loyal brute if it came down to it, so he kept his own loyalty and looked away at the silver haired girl laying on the floor practically frozen. She hadn’t really moved much at all.

Silvia A. Brandt
Location: Healer’s Room, Custos
Interaction: Tagged everyone up top

She lay there, the head of Audrey tormenting her as she watched it roll about—the woman being decapitated instantly. She looked to the girl, alarm written over her face as she heard the wails come from the baby. All she wanted to do was get up—get up and go to the baby, help Jaehwa—she couldn’t do any of it. She felt so powerless again, like she should do something but there was nothing she could do but lay there while everything happened. That was when Jaehwa was taken up by the girl, about to be killed if another entered—well until a door came busting off its hinges.

Two tall males sauntered in, one way after the other. The first one was beyond intimidating, her heart and mind screamed to crawl away but she just lay her head back down ignoring the better judgement of her mind. Her hair fell over her face while she watched Jaehwa, she didn’t know if he was going to die or to live, was it bad she would rather have him live than her? She felt like it was her fault it had happened, if she hadn’t distracted Jaehwa it might have been easier for him to get to the door.

Soon things were handled, the girl surrendered, and it infuriated Silvia. She killed—for what? To give up? Silvia scowled at the girl as she walked towards the male, she killed an innocent baby’s mother just to give herself over and plead for her life? Murderers die, if they are willing to steal one’s life they are willing to give up their own, that is how it works and if they regret their decision then they shouldn’t have done it. Silvia bit back a remark as another male came towards her—towards the baby.

He had cooed and attempted to calm her down before looking over Audrey and herself with a simple blue hazed look. Turning away he began talking with the other, and she just merely let her head fall back down and wait, she should have done better. Silvia felt like the girl needed to trade her life for the one she took, she didn’t care how just that she died as equally painful as Audrey had. Sure in her last moments she was aggressive but...she killed a mother in front of her child, a cruel crime no child should live through. She watched her brother flatline, and her mother pass away, she couldn’t get past the scarring as easily so maybe it would be better for the baby that her mother died so young...that way she wouldn’t fully recall it. So she wouldn’t be left scarred, but she would lack a mother.

Turning to Jaehwa she placed a quivering smile on her lips, she was happy her of all people and the baby were alright. She could feel relief amongst her turmoil, her eyes closing briefly as she breathed in a calming breath before regretting it. The air was left smelling like death, blood and all sorts of rotting smells were attracted to her nose, her face scrunching up as she lay there silently, burying her sniffles and watering eyes. Each of the survivors had it worse than her, the baby was orphaned and Jaehwa was nearly killed.

Blake hadn't even had to fully count to five before the human surrendered to him. Taking her weapons, he dropped them to the side. They clanked together as they hit the floor; he didn't particularly care for them. What did irritate him, however, was that he hadn't been able to fight. He was looking forward to taking her on after she'd slit that omega's throat. In any case, the past was the past. Besides, he had one thing to look forward to.

Yanking 040 abruptly forward, Blake pulled her arm up and bit down into her wrist. She could struggle, but his strength was superior than that of a human. He could take any punches she threw at him, all while enjoying her blood. He sucked gingerly, relishing in the flavor. There was nothing better in this world than fresh human blood taken from a living body. Nothing. He growled with Larkin's teasing but was too satisfied with his meal to protest any further. Once he was done, he let go, still holding onto the side of her arm as he replied to Larkin.

"I reckon we could keep it," he agreed, letting go only to grab her chin and inspect her face. "It's pretty enough, and its blood wasn't half bad. What type are you, human?" Blake had made sure not to drain her too much--Larkin was going to have his fill of her after him, and he didn't want her dying or passing out before then--so she should be able to reply.

Blake then turned his attention to the wolf stalking up behind him. "Think we could have it? It'll have tons of fun as a blood slave," he joked, grinning devilishly. It was entirely up to the other alpha what was done with the human. Although Blake had a preference, he wasn't about to get into a whole fight over it.

Phone buzzing in his pocket, Blake hummed and retrieved the device, releasing the human for the time being as he stepped to the side. Larkin could drink from her now that he was finished.

He frowned. Not only had Rhea and Oliver gone to an auction without his permission, but they'd also bought two blood slaves in the process? With whose money? And how much had they spent? Sure, both of those blood types were rare and delicious, but even still... And what had happened to Bay? He sighed. "Change of plans, Larkin. She'll be your personal blood slave. Apparently, Oliver and Reha went behind my back and purchased two already. Besides, I feel like you've earned it for successfully tracking down the Boreal alpha."

Jaehwa hadn't been expecting to be let go of so easily. The human pushed him away and he ended up hitting the wall with his side, but he was alive. Sure, he might be panicking and crying just as much as the babe was, but he was still breathing. His head was spinning and he felt like throwing up every time he saw the head laying on the floor, but he had a pulse. And, frankly, that's all that really mattered to him at this point. He didn't care that the human girl had surrendered, that she might not be killed despite everything she'd done. He was alive.

As it turned out, he did wind up hurling. Nothing came out--he simply gagged and dropped to the floor on his hands and knees--but it was sickening. Disorienting. The nauseous feeling continued to hang over him, so much so that he barely managed to look up and see Silvia smiling. Her lips were quivering and it was clear she was trying her best, but Jaehwa couldn't return the effort. Images of the decapitation continued to flash in his mind. every time he tried. Eventually, he found himself curling up against the ground, eyes locked shut as he tried to repress the memory.

Ordan's internal voice came through the omega's distressed conscious, which he grabbed onto desperately, listening as if his alpha's words were the only thing that mattered in the world. It was better than the gruesome memories that insisted upon staying put. "I'm okay," he replied even though he wasn't; he was sure to be at least bruised. "Silvia is too, and so is the child, but... the mother isn't. She's dead." Jaehwa let out a whimper, pulling his legs closer to him. He was able to open his eyes, but it didn't really do much with how watery they were. Maybe the human was right: he really was just a good-for-nothing cry baby.

In surprise she was grabbed and her wrist being by the powerful male as she screams in pain from the bite, at first pushing away but later realized it won't work and he won't budge so she charges at him , her shoulder to his chest but his knee much harder to his groin area, smashing his delicates as it was sure to hurt him, he deserved it for hurting her as despite giving him intense pain she couldn't do anything to stop him as he was finished with her and she was held by the jaw. Being questioned as what blood type she was, blood trickling down her wrist " f-fuck you.." she murmured in response as she was dropped to the floor . Despite being a prisoner she was feisty and with her wounded arm she crawls backwards away from the man, going under the bed in hopes that they don't find her . Blood still leaking out of her as it hurts , it hurts real bad but she bites her lip to keep herself quiet

While Ordan stood outside the room still, listening and watching Blake drag the intruder forward, the alpha didn't make any move to bother stopping the leech alpha from feeding on her. He could hear the somewhat irritating screams of the infant in the room from that vampire that had hunted on his territory several moons ago and wondered why the girl wasn't shutting her up. Surely someone had listened to him and fed the crying child! Ordan licked his jowls as he listened to the human whine and huffed to himself in annoyance though it only increased Achilles desire to hunt the human. He looked around, not seeing Isabella anywhere and huffed to himself...was she not at all interested in the fact that someone had died? Speaking of which, who had died anyway?

Jaehwa's voice came in some moments later, awash with emotion as the alpha listened, mentally sighing in relief at hearing Jaehwa and Silvia were okay. He didn't particularly care that the vampire girl was dead but it was a sad thing to hear the infant was an orphan. Still, the infant was not a part of his pack and had not been born to someone in his pack. It's fate lied in either an orphanage, left to the elements or taken back to the pack its mother had been in...Boreal. When he heard the child's continued wailing, Ordan snarled to himself as Blake then turned to look at him, asking if he could potentially take the human as a blood slave for his own pack. "WHAT?! THAT'S OUR FOOD YOU GOD FORSAKEN SPAWN OF HELL!" Letting out a bark like laugh at Achilles' apparent new term for Blake, the alpha nodded once, signaling it was fine. Just get the thing out of his sight.

Nisha continued crying within the healing room though it was now from loss of every family member she had experienced in the span of a few hours, tears coming out of still dark crimson eyes that swirled with emotion. She was still hungry...the formula had satisfied her for a time but the child was still a vampire and needed blood. Unfortunately nobody but her mother had seemed to realize this. One would figure the vampires in the room would have unless they were not used to vampire children. The children of vampires were impossible to control and posed a real danger to society for their blood lust was almost as bad as a vaewolf's or a dhamphir's...in times past they could drain entire villages before feeling full. In olden days vampire children used to be...muzzled for lack of a better word and chained, kept in seclusion and out of society while wolf pups got freedom. It backfired in many ways, not only did it only create animosity between the vampire children towards the wolf children and thereby contributing to the hatred between the two races, it usually involved the one who separated the vampire children from the pack and society to attack the ones who had done the deed.

Nisha didn't have control of her abilities yet, being an infant and all, but she did notice things and had a serious greedy instinct to survive in whatever way possible. As Larkin had stated to Ordan when describing Nisha's birth earlier in the evening. The child's eyes turned towards Larkin as he approached the child and a hiss came from the infant at the approach of the stranger coming towards her, a hiss that wasn't all that impressive and sounded more like a spitting cat than anything scary. As Larkin laid his hand on the child, Nisha stared up at him through tear filled eyes as he tried to soothe the child and give it comfort, her screaming slowly dying as calming waves of emotion washed over her.

Ordan pushed past Blake as the human was let go and then ran underneath a table, the wolf moving into the healing room and taking a look at Jaehwa, the omega an obvious emotional mess and barely able to stand. As he watched, the omega collapsed and Ordan moved towards him, turning his face towards the omega's as he attempted to throw up from the scene. Feeling someone standing beside him, he looked to see Silvia who also looked bad but was trying to smile at Jaehwa who didn't notice with looking down at the floor. Shifting back as Larkin left the infant's side, Ordan straightened and looked around for the human. Not seeing her, the alpha snarled to himself and stalked forward, shifting and snatching her arm roughly before forcefully dragging her out from under the table. The alpha didn't seem to care what damage he did to the human as he was sorely tempted to pass on the curse to her and make her suffer. Cutting into her flesh with his teeth, he did not pass the curse onto her. No...her being a whore and a blood slave was enough...still there was the problem of her knowing too much. Ordan would...correct that problem...perhaps.

Once she was out, the alpha let go of her and shifted back into his human form before grabbing her wounded arm and dragging her forward towards the infant, grabbing the bottle and unfilling it before using her bitten arm to fill the bottle up. When it was filled with the crimson liquid, Ordan screwed the top back on/ He left the memory of her killing Audrey though, wanting it to haunt her for the rest of her miserable pathetic life before shoving her towards Larkin. Shaking the bottle up, the alpha picked up the child, closing his eyes as he sensed the infant's pain and distress and hunger. Cradling the infant against him in one arm, he spoke mentally to Adesina and Eden. "Get rid of the body. Make sure it is never discovered and dispose of the head as well." Nisha immediately scented blood and attacked the nipple of the bottle, beginning to hungrily suck on the blood of the one that had killed her mother. "Vampire children need blood to survive, not just formula," he spoke.

Alice didn't say anything as Icarus removed her from his person and pulled his shirt on before grabbing his coat and pulling that on. Leaving her in the cell, he sniffed around. He had already tried the walls. Those were not options to get out. Ordan had made sure it was impossible to dig through or break them for even the strongest supernatural. He moved around the floor until the sound of his boot on stone disappeared and instead hit metal. Looking down, he found himself standing on a grate and crouched down to study it, detecting the scent of water far below him. A sewer...no it doesn't smell nasty. An aqueduct? "ALICE! Get over here and help me lift this," he said as he spun and turned towards his cell. "Bring my cape as well...I'm not leaving it here."

Healing Room to Outskirts of Territory

Adesina stepped forward, as did Eden, who quickly shifted and watched Ordan cradle the child after drawing blood forcefully from the human girl. Eden studied her Alpha, her eyes flickering down to the small infant; although spitting out a small hiss, Nisha was quite the charmer, even for a leech. "As you wish," Adesina replied back, Eden still watching her Alpha for a few moments before giving a curt nod and followed after the female warrior. Both females picked up Audrey's body easily, grabbing the severed head with a look of sympathy; Eden couldn't imagine what it felt like to lose a mother so early in life.

Without a word, the two women moved out of the room and out of the house. Leaving Adesina with the body for a moment, Eden ran to a supply shed they had behind the house and grabbed some gasoline and a lighter. She headed back to Adesina and helped her carry the dead mother to the deepest edge of their territory, where nobody would find her remains. Both women set her down and gathered some dry leaves and tree limbs, creating a barrier around her body. Once done, Eden doused the body in gasoline and lit her on fire. Adesina gritted her teeth and quickly backed away, the heat bothering her cold skin.

"Her body is being disposed of properly, Ordan. I'll send Adesina back to help clean up while I stay and watch over until it's completed." Eden spoke telepathically to her Alpha before looking over at Adesina who was glaring at the fire.

"Go on and head back; I know you don't like fire. I'll stay until it's properly turned to ash."

Eden smiled warmly towards Adesina, in which got a look of confusion from the female warrior before she agreed to head back.

Scared as all hell and a bit weakened he girl was alive and well in the relative sense. Finding herself in a internal battle against to run now or hide stilll. Unfortunately being hidden still would be a bad option as ordan dragged her out and grabbed her by the wrist. She knew that she was fucked from the moment she entered that room but she knew better than to let her life end like this. All of this hard work for nothing is not an option as out of her leather vanguard is a wristblade hidden within the leather and as he started to drain her to fill the bottle she used the blade and jabbed it onto his right eye about an inch or two deep to try to provide maximum damage. Unfortunately her story was not the best or a happy ending as a operator was monitoring her vitals and was safe to determine she is a goner. To cut her losses they turned on the cyanide deposit on the back of her leather armor that looks like a steel cylinder giving a flashing green light as it would be about to enter her bloodstream to kill her in seconds, a method that they use to kill off scouts that are caught from yours truly. " heh sucks to be you as your kind are a disgrace to the human race and we will kill you all..." she laughs at his torn up eye that she decimated with her blade ( being stuck in him) until she started to turn quiet and started to hear a beeping noise and turned to look back at the cyanide disposal count down sequence starting from 10 seconds " oh shit..." she talks to herself as she looks at the flashing green light and beeping as it counts down.

Ordan was amitabley not expecting the blade that came out as he managed to successfully drag the human out and stab him in his right eye as he began filling the bottle for the infant whose mother had given him so much trouble today. Actually a lot of things had given him trouble today and all starting from a necessary trip to the grocery store. "You FUCKING BITCH!" Ordan howled at the girl, pain erupting in his right eye from the knife being stuck in there. Something the alpha knew better than to take out on his own so just left it in there. The bottle wasn't all the way full due to shoving the girl from him but he nevertheless carried on as if he hadn't just been attacked for the...whatever time this blasted day...as he focused on the child when Eden's voice came through, the females having taken Audrey's body and head away. Hearing that Adesina was coming back and the body was being properly disposed of, the wolf rumbled to himself. "Fine," said Ordan shortly, not in the mood to talk, spots and flashes appearing now in front of his right eye's vision. Damn bitch! This stings. This is why I'm protecting humans from the Blood Order...and these monsters here in my house. He turned his head towards Jaehwa and Silvia. Still need to take care of them. Might need to use Memory Transference on them...at least Jaehwa. As soon as this thing is out of my house...I'll deal with that.

After leaving the child be, he was observant. Casting his blue eyes over to his alpha as he began to feed, he crossed his arms before looking down to what was at his feet. The woman, one he hadn’t scented before, sprawled down aimlessly. She had been staring st the head for a good long minute—seeing as she wasn’t puking her guts out and already covered in blood she was the healer. Sighing he stepped away, he was told not to touch any of Ordan’s wolves and he would keep to that.

Even as things seemed to spiral about, the girl was dead set on escaping Blake—a very amusing sight to see. He’d even think that stuck up mother of his would be impressed with her fighting spirit, though being impressed was far more different than being happy with it. If they did take her as a slave she would be taught and trained. To have a rebellious blood bag was taxing, and a personal one would be similar to fostering human children. You would have to be careful not to kill it.

Raising his head as she was cast aside, he watched as she scrambled away under a bed, he didn’t bother chasing. He wasn’t in the mood for a game of chase, when he ran or hunted it usually ended with someone dying and she seemed to be a good target currently. Was it his place to be offended? He felt quite aggravated that she killed the mother, but he did imagine that his daughter faced the same thing and ended out on top of it all until the wolves got involved. Shrugging it off, he found himself not important to that situation, only happy about her crying ceasing momentarily after him trying to calm her. It was something he did for his second child—the pureblooded one that is. Both were little demons, even for him.

When Ordan came and handled the hunger the child was facing, he was tossed a present while Blake spoke to him. “They did, did they?” he murmured his accent at its peak. When it was broaching the topic of keeping her as a personal blood slave he wasn’t sure if it was an honor or a punishment. He carried it as a 50-50 chance of both. Blake did say she didn’t taste too bad.

She was rather banged up after being dragged by Ordan, and then used by the wolf to feed the child. He didn’t mind, he was a little glad she was experiencing her first feeding—it was a rather important moment since it was done with the mother mostly. He would be able to drink as much, but he was always hungry. Every vampire was always hungry. However she darted again.

He let her, though he wouldn’t inform the alpha of that, she had indeed broken free from his few seconds of holding her. She had done quite the damage, and when he could grab a hold of her he had to yank her back towards him. Turning his blue optics onto the human girl, he had to lean down to steady her in case she tipped over from being rattled such a way. That way he placed his hands on her shoulders, gripping them tightly so she would run off again. Ordan had been so kind to toss her to him, he didn’t feel like dragging her out with her being reluctant. “Name,” he inquired, eyes flashing down towards the girl, “unless you like being called blood slave that is,” he informed with the ghost of a smile on his lips. He kept his right grip, not wanting her to wretch herself free again.

Looking down his eyes flashed, examining the flashing cylinder, “That’s depressing—killing you off are they?” he informed striking his hand away from her shoulder and wrapping his fingers around the object. He pulled until it was no longer connected to her back, he held it in his hand, blue eyes examining the object to kill the girl. Her armor was attached to it until he ripped it free. He did loosen his grip, he wouldn’t hold her forever, she lost her last weapon it seemed after she stabbed out the alphas eye. “You call us monsters yet, here are three packs in one room not daring or feeling the mood to kill one another yet—your own kind is willing to kill you off and they don’t have the audacity to do it to your face,” he concluded softly, accent picking up.

As she stabbed her blade directly into ordan's eye she tries to yank it out with great force to rip out the entire eye out, wanting it removed completely but was pushed back into Larkin's arms that caught her fall but she still fell on her butt as she huffed some pain " ow" she yelled before she looked at him but was too scared from the increasing beeping before he decided to rip it out of her armor , making her shiver greatly and curl up a bit in his arms as some blood starts to leak out of her shoulder, as the device reached zero the canister started to almost explode when pumping out the amount of cyanide as it was about weighing a lb in the amount of poison . Thank good she didn't have to die that fate... " are you that Larkin one I was told to serve..." she asks softly as she turns her head to look up at him " um thanks for saving me.. they did what they had to ... but they think I'm dead now so whatever... I wasn't given a name but identified as 040... if it wouldn't be too much a name would be nice... even if it's blood slave .." she looks down embarrassed as she had been confronted by him and was merely speechless as she no longer wanted to resist as he loosened his grip... instead she wanted to test her new master out and leaned in on him . Giving a soft yawn and falling asleep as she wanted to take a quick nap as she rests her head on his shoulder .

Alice huffed upset as she felt her legs were a bit weak from the mating she has done with the wolf but she barely manages to get up, grabbing his cape she started walking to out of the cell until her headchip stared working , getting a massive headache she realized who she was now and was in terror of what she did , who she did it to... her enemy is her mate.. despite that she had a job to do from him and she needed to escape. In a sweet voice she Hollars " coming!" As she arrived to the vent with the cape she helped him open the aqueduct open with the knife to assist until they were able to go inside , being the slimmer of the two she slipped past the vent with ease and landed shoes first in the aqueduct and started roaming first knife in hand

Jaehwa was slowly coming to his senses. It was taking a lot of effort not to spill out his guts. Somehow, he miraculously managed to avoid puking up dinner and was now taking in deep, albeit shaky, breaths. He vaguely registered Ordan's presence now in the room, his instincts begging him to stand and greet the alpha, but he wasn't in the right state of mind. Eventually, he rolled over, staring blankly up at the ceiling as he continued to calm his racing heart.

When he heard Ordan's yelling, however, he was quick to get up. He stumbled, nearly toppling back over, pain stinging from the back of his head. Cautiously, he reached a hand behind his head and pat at the area that had hit the wall earlier. He felt something sticky. When he pulled his hand back, his eyes met red. There were more urgent things to deal with, however, and he wiped the blood away on his pants.

"Ordan, are you oka--?" Jaehwa's mouth stopped working upon seeing the knife stabbed into his alpha's eye. "S-S-Silvia, there's a-a knife," he said as calmly as he could, turning to her. "There's a knife in his eye. What do we d-do?" Knowing he was about to start crying again, he rubbed at his eyes, trying to hold back the tears. They would do him no good, after all. If anything, him crying would make the situation worse. No, he had to be strong. If not for himself, then for Ordan. For Silvia, too. Wait... his priorities were still...?

Jaehwa's brows furrowed. As if the situation was messed up enough as it was, he had to be getting himself all confused. Now wasn't the time to think about things like that. So what was he doing, jumping around between his thoughts so much?

Spurred into action, he went to the still-standing cabinet and opened it, searching for some valerian root. He paused, wondering if something stronger than that was needed. Some ibuprofen pills, then? "Silvia, valerian root of ibuprofen?" he asked, already reaching for the bottle of painkillers. "Or should that wait?"

We're having a talk when I return. The three of us. Don't even try to get out of it.

Blake raised his eyes from the screen when he heard the action going on. The human had stabbed Ordan in the eye which was oddly amusing to the vampire. It then landed in Larkin's arms, who freed it from the cyanide that would have otherwise been injected into its system. "See, you like her already," he taunted, slipping his phone back into his pocket. "What a perfect match." He shook his head as the human seemed to be trying to fall asleep, resting against Larkin like he was a pillow. Blake laughed, entertained by the sight. In a sense, the human reminded him of Paulina a little.

"Let's get her out of here before the mutt changes his mind," he said to Larkin, gesturing to the severely injured alpha. Blake also contacted his driver, telling him to meet them at the Custos house. Although he wouldn't be there by the time they left the house, it wouldn't take too long. A grin spread Blake's lips as he continued his teasing. "Why don't you carry her bridal style? Sing her a lullaby too, while you're at it."

A low growl crept up Arya's throat at this mans words. "Watch your tongue human or I may make an exception to my morals. It's true that some Boreal wolves like the flesh of humans. I personally can't stand the taste, much too bitter." Arya spat. She looked at the remaining chicken nuggets than back to him. "And as for your food, I'll find my own. I figured most humans would abandon food in the presence of a wolf, but you were quite a surprise." Arya said standing up and dusting herself off. "And as for your threat," She said nodding at his hands. "You need not worry. I have no quarrel with Custos. And I'm sure no one from Boreal would be stupid enough to start a conflict in such a sensitive time." She said raising her voice slightly with the last sentence.

Watching as she tumbled a bit he kept where he was until she started speaking to him, answering his inquiries. He seemingly got rid of his sly grin and kept a rather blank face on. No name? That was more than depressing than being killed by friends, he didn’t particularly like calling her blood slave, it was impolite but in public it would have to be a reoccurring thing, getting sentimentally attached started with names—like when parents told kids not to name the free kittens they found because they’d be returned to the shelter after dinner, though that wasn’t quite the situation.

Yes, I am indeed Larkin,” he concluded standing up, she was tired more than likely. Blake had drank from her—right form the source and Ordan had worn her out as well he was sure of it. He kept his responses short as he held her up in his arms, a formality much better than dragging her through the mud, that would be a horrific sight even for him. He was still nice to an extent, she may have killed one of his species but she was a girl nonetheless, he’d give her some decency. Snickering he could already hear Blake getting ready for his comebacks to jab at Larkin. He wasn’t wrong, he did like her fighting spirit—mostly because it wasn’t aimed at him quite yet. “Up you go,” he murmured raising her up.

Oh please, it’s only perfect because I’m not too picky,” he joked. He was actually rather picky, and it happened the number named female was in his list of prey. He didn’t like old women, and he didn’t like men their blood was rather distasteful and far harder to get and attract their attention. He had indeed picked her up bridal style, as Blake teased him about. It was truthfully because she wasn’t really heavy and slinging her over his shoulder was rather dramatic for his taste. “Just wait, one day you’ll be doing the same thing, only children of your own,” he commented in return. He didn’t consider 040 a child, just the way Blake referred to her as made it come off that way. He stopped from speaking with 040, she was already asleep by the time they were leaving.

Raising her head at the panicked cries and grunts front Ordan she watched with worry as the girl stabbed him in the eye. She had since then begun frantically sawing off the zip ties as best she could before getting them off eventually. When Jaehwa was going on about the herbs she shook her head trying to find strength in her body. “No,” she murmured at first before struggling to her feet and towards Ordan. “The pills—the plant won’t be as helpful without the pills too,” she murmured before she reached him. The knife, it was leaving a horrid thing behind in place of his eye. Silvia would have to operate and quick.

Looking down she scowled, but before she could say anything she leaned against the bed with her hand pressing into the mattress. “I’ll start looking for gauze and-and medical tape again,” she murmured not commenting on his stitching being reopened. He wasn’t dying yet, and with her tired eyes swirling with both blues and browns she fumbled around looking for the items needed. The previous events were all in a blur, a little like those few nights she had happen. Reed died on one of those nights, and so did her mother, she couldn’t help but slow herself down before getting serious again. She didn’t know if she’d be the same after watching the head roll from the bed.

What do you say Arya, wanna tag team? I get the blood and you the nuggets?” she teased before rolling her eyes. Her abrupt interruption wouldn’t go unnoticed if she had listened properly. Sniffing the air she looked over at his food, “Ugh, I almost forgot what those taste like,” she huffed dragging her hands up to rest on her face. “So Zumitri, you know a lot about Boreal, tell me something I don’t know about us?” she inquired. Despite her taking a quick nap in his arms she vividly was hearing the conversation throughout, hearing Blake tease him about her as all she could do was blush as her cheeks reddened more and more even after she was carried in his arms bridal style, her body felt drained energy wise as she started to instinctively wrap her arms around him and his neck as she continues to lay her head on his shoulder as it felt like the most comfortable place for her, a light purr came from her as she slept, from time and again her nails digging into his back and neck before retracting like a kitty kneading on someone's belly before it lays down. Internally she felt content with him and that he is the only one she can trust to now or at least turn to for now ..

Icarus turned towards Alice as she suddenly doubled over, concern appearing in his gaze but he didn't make any move to help her. She straightened soon after so he assumed she was alright and headed over to him, using the knife to help him lift the grate. Taking his cape from her and his other shirt, he watched as she slipped past him and fell into the water, landing feet first. He didn't jump in right away, instead he removed his coat and pulled the hoodie over his sweater and then began sliding his arms into his coat. "You go on ahead and clear the way," Icarus called down to Alice. "Check the area out...I'll be down in a bit." Without waiting for a response, the hybrid replaced the grate, shoving it back into place before slipping the rest of his coat on and then fastening his cape on him.

Straightening, he whistled to himself as he went into Alice's cell and grabbed the broken ropes before examining them and tying them together into knots. Icarus then went back to his cell and used the bottom of his cape to sweep away any tracks even though there wasn't anything to sweep before heading back to the grate and pulling it aside. Turning, he lowered himself down and then grabbed the grate with his fingers before pulling it with him, dropping to the water with a splash.

The Keeper rolled his eyes and didn't bother deigning the text with a response as he grabbed the half-finished glass of wine and swallowed it down in two gulps. "RHEA!" Oliver shouted again, hearing his sister finally coming into the living room.

"What is it?"

"You're going to explain to Blake when he arrives why we spent $3,500 on a couple of blood slaves and that you stole Blake's money to get it."

"Why?"

"Blake says we're having a discussion about it and that we can't get out of it." He glared at his sister as she shrugged and sat down.

"If Blake doesn't appreciate the courtesy we went to get him and the other vampires blood slaves...."

"No...this was all your idea," Oliver snarled. "Now I'm getting dragged into this because you wanted it to be a good idea...though I think you were just being selfish about those toys."

Silvia finally came to her senses and said she would start looking for medical tape and something else though he didn't hear her much. The alpha then moved over to Silvia and walked behind her before shifting again, the alpha then standing up on his hind legs and shoving his claws into the nape of Silvia's neck. Searching for the fresh memories of Audrey's decapitation, he began removing the somewhat blurry memories, memories that formed in his own mind. He only took care of Silvia first because it looked like she was going to try operating on him again and a healer with horror on their mind was not a good healer to have or suited to have operating. Releasing his claws from Silvia's neck after only removing the memory of Audrey's decapitation. Instead the alpha gave her memories of the girl dying on the table from cardiac arrest.

Releasing Silvia, he made his way over to Jaehwa, somehow the knife not descending further as he had shifted. The alpha then made his way to Jaehwa and took the same memories from him as well as giving him the impression Audrey had suffered from cardiac arrest and died on the table. Not a hard thing to fake, the alpha only substituted a memory of his own and put Audrey's body into the memory, adjusting the details of the memory a bit before releasing the omega who was standing with his back to the alpha. It was easier taking memories away when in wolf form then in human form, even if there was a danger to him at the moment with his eye. Risking his sight was not as important as fixing his omega and healer, however this time the alpha did not shift back, not wanting to drive the knife into his cranial cavity. "Zumitri can do it...he's spending the night," spoke Ordan to Silvia and Jaehwa.

Zumitri
Location: Outskirts Ithawell

Zumitri listened as the werewolf growled lowly at him before saying she would find her own food and that not everyone in Boeal ate humans. She described the taste as being bitter. "I suppose the taste of human flesh depends on the person," said Zumitri with a shrug. "One would hope not...that wouldn't be good for your pack or what's left of it." Popping another chicken nugget in his mouth he chewed it slowly as he heard someone else coming towards them and sitting down at the bench beside him, the doctor turning his head to see another woman standing there only this one seemed to have a pale complexion. Vampire, he thought to himself. Vampires were an odd creature to him. Alive but dead. Able to birth and able to die yet immortal. The doctor observed the woman who spoke and by her words, he gathered they knew each other, possibly within the same pack.

"Your mother obviously never taught you it's rude to eavesdrop on others' conversations," said Zumitri dryly to Harper as she admitted to doing just that. She commented on his choice of food. Zumitri certainly hadn't expected company when he had come here to eat and wait for Ordan's response. The doctor grabbed his Dr. Pepper and sipped from it again as the vampire commented that he knew a lot about Boreal to which the doctor just smiled pleasantly before being asked for something the woman didn't know about her pack. "Something you don't know about your pack that I do." Furrowing his brows in thought as he sipped his soda, Zumitri thought about it before shrugging. "Can't say," he said at last.

Jaehwa
Location: Custos healing room | Interacting: Ordan ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon ), Silvia ( Shaded Shaded ) | Mentioned: 040 ( Lenny2000 Lenny2000 ), Larkin (as “vampires” with Blake), Audrey, Nisha

As he reached for the painkillers like Silvia instructed him to, Jaehwa felt something nick the back of his neck. It didn't hurt all that much, per se, but it felt more like pressure. There was a slight sting, of course, but nothing too shocking. He didn't think to turn around, something pushing through his mind and messing with his thoughts. All images of Audrey's headless body were slowly dissipating. The terror he'd felt at seeing her die was gone. Audrey...

Yes, Audrey had died from cardiac arrest. She'd passed away on the bed as Silvia was operating on her. It was sad, knowing that the baby was now orphaned. He'd have to talk with the Boreal alpha about making sure she got the proper care. As he took these new memories in, relief spread throughout his entire body. Although he didn’t fully relax, worry for Ordan kicking back in, he felt much better than he had before. Why exactly? He didn’t know. Not anymore, and not ever again.

“Okay,” Jaehwa replied, turning around to face Ordan. “But when is he getting here?” His brows furrowed with concern. “We can’t just let you sit around and wait with a knife in your eye.” The more he looked at it, the sicker he felt, but he refused to cast his gaze away. He wanted to show Ordan, to prove to him, how much he cared. It was a strange, primordial sense of protectiveness that Jaehwa couldn’t explain, let alone rationalize why he felt it towards Ordan to this extent. But, damnit, he was going to keep acting upon it. It only felt right.

Jaehwa sighed. He’d need to sort these thoughts out at some point, but things were too hectic lately. “At the very least, take the meds or eat the roots. I don’t want you hurting. You shouldn’t ever have to hurt.” He swore if he ever saw that human again he’d give her a stern talking to. Possibly even smack her if he got riled up enough. How dare she. How dare she injure his alpha this badly. Resolved, he took in a deep breath, holding the ibuprofen pills with an outstretched hand. “I’m not taking no for an answer. And I’m sure Silvia will back me up on this.” He was so caught up on this that he didn’t even notice the vampires leaving.
