If I never got help, I would be totally lost...Is "Giving humanity a chance" considered a positive idea?
Like, an alternative to simply saving them when they need help 24/7.
Night, night Archtoddler :3Night night everyone!
G'night! rest well!Night night everyone!
To be direct, yes, it is a positive thought, but I don't think it's a good idea as a principle. For the most part people are not good at self-guidance much less self-discipline. A good system gives people freedom, but only after assuring the bottom half has minimal conditions. People are greedy and will explore any loophole, usually rather than choosing to use that intelligence for more pratical matters like assuring the good of everyone. Is "Giving humanity a chance" considered a positive idea?

Well, I was thinking something else actually... Perhaps I worded it wrong. But I meant giving them a chance in the sense of heroes not being the only line of protection or service. Giving law enforcement the ability to deal with stronger quirks through devices or augmentation. To be direct, yes, it is a positive thought, but I don't think it's a good idea as a principle. In short, the "live and let live" kind of suggestion is a well-intentioned thought that ultimately forges a system of exploration.
That's just poor resource management. By doing that, you'd be harming everyone, because you reduce the efficiency with which villains are dealt with, you take resources away from the bureocratic stuff the police normally deal with, and you leave heroes who were specifically trained to deal with certain situations sitting idle.Well, I was thinking something else actually... So basically by advancing police and other forces, everything sucks? I doubt that. How would it reduce efficiency? You'd have more people taking care of issues. People that couldn't be heroes because of the quirk not being suited for it would have an alternative. That's just poor resource management. Those people already DO have an alternative- do something they are better suited for. You can't just ignore that resources are limited. So basically by advancing police and other forces, everything sucks? I doubt that. How would it reduce efficiency?
