from the 2nd GM post in the rp, it says most examinees skipped foods and hadn't eaten much
19 hours had passed since the majority of the occupants of said seats had taken anything into their stomachs. In the meantime, they had come to the academia grounds without being allowed to bring anything but the clothes on their body with them, they had slept, skipped breakfast «, taken the written test, skipped lunch and forced to do various exercises.

The reason there will be a vote about this is because the level of trauma would be up to what the players find reasonable. But it's possible that what's reasonable isn't whats fair.
