As Darell entered the living quarters, he couldn't help but want to wrinkle his nose in disgust; however, he was in no place to, because he knew he should be grateful that they even gave the contestants any. That being said, though, they were the ones that put them here in the first place. While Darell continued to ponder, he couldn't help but have his thoughts drift to the things that Malcolm had said; This years, and previous winner were among them. Drawing clues from the context, he could derive that this was an annual event, and that it had happened before. He couldn't help but feel sympathy for the others, but then he steeled himself. Judging from the fact the man only listed one winner, he concluded that he had to pick his enemies and friends wisely. If chosen incorrectly, it could be his downfall. As all of this ran through his head, Darell couldn't help but sink into depression, going over to his bed. When he rubbed his fingers against the sheets and then looked at them, he could see the accumulated dust sticking to it like syrup to a mischievous child's hands. Better clean up, he thought, tidying up his area.

Rorschach came pacing into the barracks at a rather brisk clip, and didn't relent for even a beat when they passed through the threshold. The scarred youth made a beeline straight for the mess hall, striding into the kitchen and actually just walking in a large circle through the area until they found where the silverware was left out to dry.


Rorschach took an entire bin of... spoons, for some reason, and promptly left, now on the hunt for a maintenance closet.
