I think that the best location to head next maybe to go to Wanderer's Darkwood. http://www.rpdom.com/threads/darkwood.58777/

A forest has been mentioned already in Chapter 1 and the levels of monster do not seem to be that difficult for people fresh out of the sanctuary. So maybe the road could take us there or we decide to go there off the path for a different reason?

Thoughts on this or alternatives?
I have an idea of straying off the path if you haven't already made a decision of being lead there...

You can of course make any creature you'd like.

I will on on Team Speak for a while tonight. Drop by and come talk about the game, your character, or world building. I'd love to help get others involved in the world building aspect of the game.

Just a warning.

You really.

Really.

Reaally. Don't want to go into the Mountains. Yet. I mean, eventually, sure.

But not yet.

Also- will be making Sloth monsters, in between Dragons.

I will be going through all character sheets, and submitted areas/monsters and fixing any formatting issues, or trying to format everything to have a uniformed look. I will comment on threads once I am done. No content will be removed or added. Simply formatting. If I do add or remove, I will detail it in my post.

Do hope me slipping that in isn't out of question? They've been traveling long enough to have a sustained conversation, and their a large band of exposed humans- it's not implausible that creatures that travel in packs/swarms/hordes across the countryside most of the time could take notice- and the grass is, apparently, prairy- and thus tall.

Nope. People can stick in encounters as they see fit. However, I recommend you starting with your D6 and declaring how many there are.

NOTE:

Your first combat! How exciting. Combat will work as follows:

One round of combat - Each player may post once each round of combat. A round of combat will last for 24 hours from the initial post of the round of combat or until all players participating in the combat have posted whatever comes first. Players may post in OOC if they will not be participating in the combat.

Monsters Always Hit! Monsters never roll to hit their targets. We roll to not be hit. This is so everyone only needs to worry about their own body and actions, not juggling enemies trying to strike them, they only need to dodge the damage.

We get the control if the enemies will attack us. You must be OK with being aimed at or taking damage, even dying. This is part of the game. Play for fun. If we notice you constantly don't have enemies striking you - then we all wont be happy about it. The game doesn't have a Storyteller to control enemies, and we don't want to get one if we don't have it.

Lastly - Have fun!

Just so you guys know, I'm like six hours ahead of you(If you live in eastern time), so when you say team speak tonight, at 6:00, its more like, see you when you wake up in 8 hours.

Alright, I posted the start of the combat. Be sure to use the Dice Roller on the site. I hope my post helps demonstrate how to do the combat. :) I kinda boned my roll though >.>

After you roll the dice, you can copy the BBcode into your post and it will add it for you in that spot. This way, you can do what I did. Write actions and roleplay up to the skill. Then, declare the skill used, and roll. You will know if it failed or not, and how to proceed. You should be able to easily fit in your actions and the actions of the enemies.

Failed abilities (1 or 2) refund the cost. Yay!

It might be worth reviewing Die 6 System in the How To Play: Bloodlust.

I did my round.

Those feelings when you are a Boss in your rolls to such a degree that even your character is surprised.

Indeed. They always hit. Again, it's a D6, 1 or 2 is a fail. Unless there is other circumstance.

In the future I plan to go over all skills (from weapons/sins) and monster skills to improve the fluidity of the game, as I think some abilities may feel clunky.

@SephirothSage

Awesome. I think your body color was screwed up. Everything is white. Also, next time stick all three of their attacks as 1 dice roll (you can roll 3D6). Lastly, you forgot to update your health.

I figured I'd simply notate it differently next post, as it wasn't 25* yet at the beginning of that post- will do, though.

@Misanthrope

I think you misread the dice rolls. Two's are failure. Remember - monsters always hit, we need to dodge their attacks. You also didn't include an attack of your own.

@ShadowCharmer

I think you got a bit confused with combat. For starters, you can roll dice here: http://www.rpdom.com/dice

This will generate a BBcode, you put that into your post, and it will appear. This way you can do many rolls in One post.

Further, I feel you didn't get the idea of Blood Blade Roulette in your post (I think that's what you used?)

I'll do an example of it here for you: Blood Blade roulette states that it creates 2D6 knifes. So, first I roll 3 dice - the first dice is the success roll and the other two are the amount of knives. (In this example, I will not use a diceroller, but imagine the numbers were generated by the dice roller on the site.)

4 - 5 - 3

Alright, a 4 is a pass. The ability worked. This means - I now spent 2 Virtue. I'm at 23/25 now. I also spent 6 health. I'm at 7/13.

Now onto the Blades. I have 5+3 = 8 of them. I need to generate random targets from among the Available targets.

We know Stross isn't valid, he walked away. Noel is over Raphael, making him un-strikable. We know there is 9 Rotting Surgers at the Moment (as Noel killed one). As well, there is Elisa, Ebon, Avvros, and yourself.

So, we can order this as the following:

1-10 enemy

11 - Elisa

12 - Ebon

13 - Avvros

14 - yourself

Now you would roll 8D14. Each dice represents one of the possible targets. Then, roll 8 D6, corisponding to each generated target. Imagine you rolled the following

9 - 12 - 4 - 7 - 2 - 8 - 7 - 10

1 - 1 - 3 - 4 - 6 - 1 - 3 - 2

Ok. So lets go through this.

9 is a enemy. It took 1 point of Charity damage. It's not at 3 hp.

12 is Ebon. He got healed for 1 hp.

4 is an enemy. He took 3 damage, he's at 1 hp.

7 appears twice. He is also an enemy, and took two knives, dealing 7 damage. He's dead.

2 is an enemy and took 6 damage. Hes dead.

8 is an enemy and took 1. he's at 3.

Finally, 10 is an enemy and took 2. He's at 2.

--------------------------------

You only get 1 action each round unless your ability states otherwise. So, you can use 1 attack or skill a round. A normal attack as a knife user would be two dice. The first dice is your main throw (dealing 3 damage) and your second dice is your secondary throw (dealing 1 damage). This is considered 1 attack (think that paired knives get duel wield).

Any questions?

You can also roll from directly within your post.

Also I apologize for my delay in posting, I will be getting to that sometime today.

Yeah, me too. The internet at my current living place is so fickle. I'm having trouble getting on at all. This is the first time all day I've had enough of a signal to get on, and it's 11pm here.
