Plot:

The world has moved into the technology era and many have embraced the change in time, but a few groups have not. Among humans live three defined bloodlines. The Magic, The Vampires and the Werewolves.

Choosing to try and run the clans evenly, they have a loud for each of the clans to have a ruler and a council to participate in all royal matters. Tension is strong between the Vampires versus both the Werewolves and Magic. There is no sign of war breaking out, with the Vampires and Magic’s, more so against the Werewolves.

One day one of the higher prestige bloodline in the Magic had a child. She showed extreme abnormalities which suggested that an affair or some kind of mutation happened. The council was came together and gave a mass vote on what to do with the child. The Vote came that the child would be allowed to live, but must be denounced from the family and never a loud to give birth to a child. A second term was that will be the last of this Bloodline in fear of them producing another like her.

The child was locked away from the life of the bloodline, given everything she needed and sent into the human world to live her life like a normal human. Until she became the prime target for Vampires to kill to overpower the Magic….

*Whoops whoops whoops. Antje is from a vampire family and was born human, but showed signs of some magical powers. the Werewolves are the least powerful of the group because they can only shapeshift as a magical ability. The vampires have the second most powerful of the group because they can do little things, but nothing major, and the Magics are like...the supreme court type thing. ANYWAYS. We got confused? <.< I dunno. Heeeeere's Antje!

Name; Antje Amsel

Age; 18 and twelve days.

Race; Dhampire (half vampire)

Rank of power in the courts; Illegitimate due to her birth defect. Born to two full blooded vampire parents, Antje’s birth was seen as an abomination. Hasty to save their own lives from the Magics, Antje’s mother and father cast her into exile where she lives a semi-normal human life. Antje possesses some interesting magical power, but she's barely aware of it., but it could really change some things around in the night.

Height; 5”4

Body type; very proportionate for her height, no real fat to be shown. Her hips are shapely, but she has a smaller torso than most girls, often times she feels like she is a plank of wood. Even though she has a smaller torso, she has a small bust, but she wishes she were more attractive, as no one has ever dated her. This is because she gives off pheromones of a predator, and most people unconsciously sense that and are careful.

Antje has her mother’s honey-brown eyes and her father’s darker hair, and it would be very easy to figure out who her parents are if she stood next to them. Antje has a torn relationship with her mother and father; while they are very good actors when it comes to them visiting her, but they secretly do care about her. When in Antje’s company she feels like they are uninterested in her, or condescending toward her, even though some affection has slipped out from time to time.

Antje has a guardian, a lower ranking vampire (a vampire who was once human), and she was sort of raised by her. Her guardian is a phlebotomist, meaning she is trained to take blood from patients in the hospital for tests. She also runs her hospital’s account of red-cross donated blood, and she has always been able to bring plenty home for herself and Antje. Antje does not know her guardian’s name, instead she has always called her Tante, or “Aunt” in German.

Antje’s family is from eastern Europe, as well as their servant, ( Antje’s guardian). Being a dhampire is hard on Antje while she tries to live a normal human life, which was to be more expected, as she was born with a heartbeat. She is anemic due to her Dhampirism, because her bone-marrow is half vampiric and half human. Her heart and lungs function to oxygenate blood, and her body can create new blood unlike a vampires, but more recently her body has tapped into its own blood, a sign of possible changing. This causes Antje to consume more blood than normal vampires, or even the courtiers. Sometimes Antje skips blood altogether, annoyed by her own body.

Antje dresses rather casually, despite her parents ability to provide nicer, more expensive clothing. She is rarely seen without a hoodie, and she practically lives in skinny jeans. Antje loves school, she loves anything that will distract her from how depressed she is because of her unusual upbringings. She hates summer, because then she is stuck inside, hiding from the intense sun. Tante isn’t as sensitive to the sun, so she can work. Antje CRAVES some form of friendship or contact with someone else, but she’s sort of given up at this point.

Antje thinks about killing herself a lot, but it would be very hard, and despite her crumbly relationship with her family, she’s always felt desperate to please them, and suicide would be insult to injury for them.

Antje is very witty, but she hardly has anyone to share her wit with. She likes to do some mild hooligan activities, such as vandalizing the walls on the abandoned buildings in her town with some interesting murals. She has never hunted a human before, and the idea makes her very dark on the subject.

*Frick. I sort of wrote a small novel of rambly babbley stuff.*

Antje had skipped school, deciding not to waste such a perfectly conditioned day (kind of cloudy and crisp) on sitting at a desk with no one to talk to. Her scraggly, choppy hair hung around her face like a picture frame, but the rest was pulled back into an odd looking bun. She had her backpack, but it wasn’t for school. She had spray paint, wall paint, and a cacophony of brushes of size and use. She had chalk for the rough of whatever she would make, and she also had some primer that she had mixed in with most of her paint, making it very difficult to remove whatever she was going to make.

She liked to make murals. Nothing ghetto or real graffiti, but real paintings and art and such. It wasn’t like her town wouldn’t appreciate it. She made the abandoned mills’ walls better to look at. There was even an article in the paper about her murals, which she was deliriously pleased with. She had some of her rather raggedy clothes on, jeans with rips in them, rubbery sort of boots that touched the beginning of her calves, and a plain undershirt. No hoodie today. She rarely wore a hoodie when painting, even if she got cold.

She hadn’t slept well last night, the day always making her more sleepy, but she’d sleep when she was good and ready. Tante was at work, drawing blood and needling humans and such, so Antje had to wait later into the afternoon to text her that she was out, to make it seem as if she had gone to school.

She made her way confidently through some rather scarier parts of town, making eye-contact with everyone she saw. They were more wary of her than she was of them; they sensed her, and they knew better not to be near her for fear of..something. It was the unknowing that made most scared, because of the dangerous invisible feeling of possible death. Whatever. She pretended she wasn’t lonely, she’d even smiled at a few, making them look uncomfortable, making her look like she loved to scare people.

Lucifer, or Luke for all intensive purposes in the human world, lost track of time and is now stuck outside of the abandon building on the outskirts of town. He had no jacket to cover his face or arms to move to the inside of the building. Being severely burned was not on his agenda for the day. So instead he was sitting inside the tight ally way waiting for the sun to finish climbing the sky. Looks like there was no way he was going to be sleeping today. Oh no, he gets to play ring around the building to stay in the shadows.

Lucifer currently sat with his arms crossed and a defined frown on his face. He will probably ditch work tomorrow and sleep all night and the next day. Luckily he has spent the majority of the night with a lovely Blond girl with a tasty vain. Lucifer licked his lips in remembrance and chuckled to himself. He has not regretted a single day of living in the human world. Granted it was much harder living here then in the mansion of his parents, who pretty much were the highest you could go in blood.

He would admit though, he does miss seeing other Vampires. But he would never say it out loud. He siblings have yet to find him and he had only had one run in with a Vampire hunter. Most never really recognize him anyway, no one can. He has yet to murder anyone here yet, he has tried to be very careful about that so he did not have to relocate often. Because of this, he has been able to keep a steady job and live among the humans and do pretty much whatever he wanted.

Lucifer growled and scratched his hair, “UGH!” he jumped up and kicked the side of the building. Why was he so stupid? He wanted to just sleep! He was stuck out here instead, in this ally way. Not sleeping. “ugh..Dimmit…”

Antje found a good spot to begin with, and she quickly set to work on making an outline of her work. It looked like a fat snowman, but she was going to make a set of nesting dolls. She went down the wall horizontally making her dolls smaller until they were her own height, at which she outlined a person, which would later be herself.

She whiped the chalk on her jeans, and accidentally touched her face with the chalk. She took painter's tape and made a border at every edge, a perimeter. She was almost done, the length of the final doll/person hard to do because it was much sunnier on that side of the building. She glanced at the sunnier alley while she taped, and she startled noisily at the sight of a white-haired guy, sticking to the wall and it's shadow. Noob. She thought, rolling her eyes.

He wasn't covered at all, a noob mistake. He looked pretty sour pressed to the wall. He looked like a mean ghost.

"Faaail." She finally said quietly.

Lucifer looked over where he had heard what sounded like a female’s voice. Pressing he face more against the wall so he could see, he saw a young girl drawing on the walls of the buildings. The sketch of the wall was looking rather nice. She was obviously good at what she did.

“Excuse me?” He said out loud. He was pretty sure that was directed at him. He said failing at what? She could have know way known what or who he was because he was to far away to be identified. Beside she looked human so there was no way she could even know he was vampire. Maybe she thought he was a bad hider or something…

Crossing his arms he leaned against the wall and continued to watch the girl.

"You're excused." She smiled. She caught his glance and she shrugged.

"You're not very good at this, are you?" she said, holding her arm up with her palm facing him. There was a small little symbol tattooed there, a badge that meant "vampire" universally. Hers was smaller than most, changelings (humans who became vampires) had to have a larger symbol, and members of the court wear their family symbol as a necklace. When heirs are born into the family they get a similar necklace, but later if power was bestowed on an heir they had their childhood necklaces change, with small jewls added or other, nicer things. Antje's symbol wasn't that of her families', and she could never wear her necklace.

Lucifer laughed out loud, she was a changeling, though it was surprising him she was sitting out in the sun. “How… and why, are you sitting out in the sun like that? I have stronger blood in myself, so I burn rather easy. It’s a curse really. And for the record, I am VERY good at all…. This.” He gestured to himself and grinned. “I have no tattoo, I just look super hot.”

He had no tattoo, nor did he had a crest. He left his behind when he denounced his family. Not that this less vampire needed to know that. She was already getting on his nerves. He would admit though, she had some wit about her. “Say, what is your name?” He asked, his arms crossed again.

"Well you seem to be wonderful at hiding behind buildings. From the sun. In the day." She rolled her eyes and started down the alley to grab the biggest can of hairspray on the planet. She started spraying at the chalk to save the outlines for when she'd paint the background white.

"I'm Antje. It's German. Like Angie but with a T." She kept spraying. If the sun moved any, he's probably have to hide behind the other side of the building. He seemed like he was hiding something, and she didn't really care for that. She was hiding enough shit herself, she didn't want to take on anymore. Her last name was out of the question. It was weird talking to someone else than Tante, and there were lots of people she'd kinda rather talk to.

Lucifer huffed, “German huh? And your last name?” That’s what he was really after. He wanted to know if she was a no buddy or a somebody. The more he thought about it, the more he did not want to know. “I second thought, I don’t even want to know. Who cares about those royal pains. They mostly just prance around all day thinking they are all that and a bag of chips.” Lucifer said, making funny motions with his hands.

“Ohhh don’t let them catch you calling them royal ass holes. Oh no, they would have your head! They are rather stuck up.” He laughed at himself, technically head was a decedent of one of the ‘royal assholes’ but none the less. “I actually live in that building over there.” He said, pointed to the building that was behind her.

“You wana maybe, lend me your back pack so I can hid behind it to get into the building?” he asked, pointing at Antje’s bag. “Come on, help a vamp out here. I just need something to cover my arms and head.”

Antje laughed darkly. Why should she help him? He was dumb enough to be out in the day, uncovered. In a sense she thought he sort of deserved it. Her bag wouldn't cover his head well. Plus she needed her paint back, and directly walking in the sun wasn't a great idea, even though she could handle it.

"Nopenopenope.." She was going to help him, yeah, eventually, but he seemed like he would be fun to mess around with. She liked pushing buttons sometimes, and maybe that wasn't a good thing given his identity.

She finished spraying the person outline of chalk, and she reached into her bag for the pallet of colors she wanted for her nesting dolls. She needed bohemian colors, but she needed to paint their faces first.

"If you pull your shirt over your head and your arms in, you could get across fine. Shouldn't your white hair like...not attract light anyways?" She glanced at him, sizing him up. He seemed really proud of his appearance, and she sort of understood why; he was aestetically pleasing, but it didn't give him any advantage over the light.

“Boo…” Lucifer said, pressing his lips together in frustration. “Noo, then my chest would burn if a pulled my shirt up to cover my head. That would be pretty painful too.” Looking over next to here, there was a corner close to her that was shadowy. Deciding to run over the gap of sun, Lucifer pulled his hands into his shirt and then tried to pull his shirt up a bit to cover his neck.

Taking a few steps back, Lucifer ran straight across the light and into the shadows next to Antje. He felt the skin on his forehead blister a bit. “oow… oww geez.” He said, pulling out his hands to touch his forehead gently. “Man, I don’t regret that at all.” He said with a hiss.

Sitting down cross legged in the shadows, Lucifer studied Antje’s piece of art. “Uuhu…. What is it suppose to be?” he asked, crossing his arms across his chest.

He won’t be able to get into his building till the sun reached a point where the shadow’s were covering the entrance of the door. He did not really want to break a window, beside he got his wish granted about missing other Vampires.

“So you come here often Antje? Because I swear I have not smelt you around here before. You have a rather tempting smell about you for a changeling.” Lucifer rubbed his chin a bit and looked at Antje carefully. She was a very pretty girl, her dark hair and brown eyes were something to gaze at. Lucifer grinned and leaned back on the wall and watched her work.

Antje shrugged and started working on the face of the largest doll.

"I've only recently started painting down here. I filled up the mills on the other side of the town, so I came here." She could feel him looking at her, and it made her bristle a bit.

"I'm only essentially a half vampire. That happens a lot to some changelings, or so I've been told, but it's whatever."

She carefully painted the face a pale fleshy color, and she moved down to the second doll.

"They're nesting dolls, y'know, from Russia and such? I wanted to try them for a new painting style."

"How long have you lived around here?"

“huh, I read an article about that.” Lucifer said, shrugging and continuing to watch Antje, she had still yet to ask for his name. Maybe she did not care enough. He kind of liked that, although it seemed like at first a lot of what she was saying was getting on his nerves. Her non’shualant attitude was something that caught his attention.

When she asked if he had been living around he smirked. He was not sure himself, “ehe… maybe 4 years.” Four years of being free from his family, and four years of being completely under the raider with minimal incident. “I have been on my best behavior; I try not to cause trouble. I actually have a job at that 24/hour convince store downtown. The really popular one that drunken people like to go to when they have a hankering for sweets.”

Luscifer closed his eyes a bit, “I have been thinking about moving on though, staying in one place for too long might be asking for trouble. Not sure yet though. Have you lived here long?”

Antje nodded.

"Since I was born. I turned 18 two weeks ago." She finished one face and started on another; you have to work fast or it won't get done before people saw it unfinished.

"It's sort of funny how long you can live somewhere undetected if you're really careful." she smiled, almost friendly.

"You're lucky you don't look young and you don't seem old, either. I stopped growing when I was 16, so I'm stuck looking like a teenager."

"So why don't you have a tattoo? It's kinda mandatory..."

“I have to say, I think I stopped growing at age 24. Which was a pretty long time ago, but that’s beside the point, you are a pretty young Vampire.” Lucifer said, his grin right in place.

When she asked about his tattoo he flashed her a large toothy smile, “You can say I am as rouge as you can get. They are looking for me all the time since I got away. Changed my name, hair and everything. I’ve seen them only once looking for me. You can call me Luke by the way. It’s my human name, pretty awesome huh? The girls love it.” He laughed, he felt so brilliant evading his siblings.

Although he was slightly bothered by what Antje just said. She said since she was born here and she stopped growing at before 18. She must have been born a vampire, but she smelled human. That was impossible under every vampire law. You cannot have a half human half vampire baby, and everything about her spoke human. But she had the vampire mark for changelings on her. “Nothing you say makes sense. Who are you? You are not a changeling… is one of your parents human?” Lucifer asked.

He got up and moved a bit with the shadows as the sun made its way around the sky. It seemed like they still just meet, but the sun was moving over the sky quickly. He did not mind though, she was making awesome company, before she would even have a chance to answer his question he said something else. “You know, I have not had decent company in a long time. A lot of who I talk to are rather bubble headed. Humans are really naive. Of course there was this one time I was talking to this slayer, he was pretty dang smart, he made so pretty good company too. I did not kill him, but I did leave him in a ridiculously hard place to get out. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had died from starvation or something. I thought about turning him, let him run around as what he kills. But that would have been awkward for me, and on top of that, if there is one rogue vampire, there is probably a second. Aka, the big wigs would know where I was running around.” He paused in his rant and then slapped his forehead.

“I might have to kill you now that I think about it. Your tattoo means you are being watched, and you saw me and I said I was a rogue.” He sighed, “I am half kidding, I don’t think I have the guts to kill a girl as cute as yourself, specially so early in your vampire-hood. But really, you could do me a favor and not tell anyone about me…” He was lose of lips talking with such a pretty Vampire girl. For that he would kick himself, but oh well, such as life and pretty women.

Antje scowled at him. Way to go. Killing people. Neat. She had much better things to talk about, and she almost expected better than him.

"Because when my mom asks me later what I did today I'll be like '
WELL, I graffitti'd and vandalized my little heart out, met a douchy rogue with loose lips, and then he was all 'don't tell anyone or I kill you' and I was like 'WELL, I CAN'T ARGUE WITH THAT'. Her voice changed octaves when she said that, usually her 'I'm being stupid' voice, mixed with an interesting impression of him and a light little accent.

She rolled her eyes and went back to work.

"Maybe we should play the no-questions, no kill conversation game. It's easy." She smiled.

Luke laughed loudly and held his chest, “You are absolutely adorable. Why have I not meet you sooner?” He asked, learning back on the wall again. He was not really upset at all at the impression of him, he had to admit it was funny. But in truth, he just did not care if she told or not, he would run if he had too. His siblings were easy enough to evade. “oh? And no questions? I think do think that is much of a game, no questions is no fun. All though I keep asking you questions and then keep telling you not to answer them.”

He paused and watched he painting or a little bit, noting that it looked like she was almost done. “So you run around and do normal human stuff? Like school and what not? I think the most I do is that job down town. Also, do you enjoy art? Or just graffiti?”

Antje smiled a little, relaxing some.

"I try to go to school as much as possible, but sometimes it's too sunny for me and I'm stuck at home. I skipped today because it's nice and cloudy today." She got more paints out of her bag and began to mix more colors, briefly sitting back on the wall he was on.

"I like lots of art. And I'm not doing graffiti. Graffiti is ghetto. I'm vandalizing." she laughed, vandalizing sounded much more deviant, with more class.

"I do much cooler shit at my house. My room isn't big enough for my art, so I took it to the streets. I got the attic suite recently, which is cool." She felt weird talking about normal things like that.

"What do you do when you're not stuck in the sun or workin'?" she looked up, actually noticing him for the first time. Her hazel eyes took him in, and the artist in her mentally started to sketch him. She did that a lot to people she met, just immediately drew them or painted them in her mind.

“You seem to have not liked the story of the hunter so I will try and be nicer in explaining this, I feed. When I am not feeding, I am hiding or working. It is a boring life really, work provides me with the normal of humanacie. Although, the other day one of my co-worked invited me out to dinner. It was an interesting experience to say the least. “ He paused and thought a bit. “You know I never stop to think what I do… Sometimes, I take walks at night. I like the fresh air. I also like scaring people, they get really skittish around men who look like they will snap your neck in the middle of the night. It’s quite funny actually. I remember the other day-”

Lucifer paused and then scooted a little more into the shadows after he noted they had moved again, then picking up where he had left off. “I was walking to the park and there were these two guys, I think they were drunk off that atrocious beverage the youth of humans favor, alcohol. Anyway, they were being rather obnoxious on that fine night, so I felt obligated to tell them to go home. I calmly approached them on told them to go home and one of them just flat out droped everything in his hands. I swear I did not do anything to him, I just came up behind them and told them to hush.” Lucifer threw his hands in the air a bit and was chuckling through his story.

Leaning back on the wall he thought for a moment, “You know I draw a bit myself. Although I will humbly admit it is nothing like what you have there. I have to say I am not very good at anything but hiding.” He said, throwing his hands in his lap and shrugging. He just had no desire to do anything. If he ever did have a desire, he went to go to it, because he was free and can do what he wants.

Antje raised an eyebrow, half understanding his humor, and more than anything understanding his boredom. He liked to scare people? That was certainly a forte of hers.

"I heard that feeding is dangerous." she thought outloud. Bagged blood was safer, you couldn't accidentally inject any drugs and become addicted, or become drunk, or catch a disease.

"I can't hunt anyways. I'm dentally challenged." she grinned. "I could see why they'd be scared. If I saw you at night I'd jump a little." she admitted. "But I've smiled at people and they wig out, too. It's more fun with people my age." she laughed softly. "So why'd you get a boring human job?" she asked, stirring the new colors more. It wasn't the right shade yet, and she had to be careful.

"I mean, humans are pretty boring themselves. I don't even know why they aren't extinct yet..."

Lucifer laughed, “Dentally challenged? That’s a new one.” Lucifer had to bite his tongue not ask how that manage to happen, even changelings don’t have that problem. She was the strangest Vampire he has ever met, and he has meet and probably knows a good majority of Vampires around. “The job passes time, and like you sad earlier, feeding can be dangerous if you don’t know where your food has been. I really don’t have problems most the time. I use the money to buy raw meats. I usually only feed once a month.” Lucifer yawned. He was getting rather sleepy, at this rate he will not get a wink of sleep and will call in sick to work. Frowning Lucifer added on the end, "besides, boredom doesn't kill. At least I have yet to see that happen." he chuckled a little and yawned again.

Antje nodded, thoughtful. She had sharp teeth, but not enough to ever be able to feed without causing massive trauma to any prey. She'd probably never have fangs, or even claws. She sometimes didn't blame her family for not wanting her; she was pretty useless.

"I have a nurse friend who helps me out, thank god." She noticed his yawning and she almost laughed. He looked like a sleepy lion.

"You could probably make it back to your place now. The sun's almost gone around here." She almost didn't want him to leave, she hadn't talked to anyone in forever. But that made her feel dumb and clingy, and he wasn't exactly her friend anyways. She would need to go home soon anyways. Her metabolism was so perplexing that she actually had to drink a specific amount of blood at certain times a day to stay healthy. Even elite vampires didn't need this much, but she wasn't exactly at a normal weight for a human, or a vampire. Maybe 120 pounds soaking wet. She hated how emacieated she looked when compared to others. Why'd he call her pretty earlier? Could he actually see straight?

(We can move it on the next day, or next evening when she runs into in the store.)

Lucifer stood up, “your right, I really do need to get some rest. But do me a favor Antje, say my human name. You have yet to even say it.” Lucifer soon slowly walked closer to Antje, he towered over her small frame at 6’1. The closer he got to her the better look at everything about her he got. He thought her face was rather beautiful, her eyes a normal human color but an edge that most Vampires carried. Her hair looked soft and full of color, unlike his own hair which lacked color and his eyes who shown with creepy red hews. Although he thought she was extremely skinny and he wondered if she was feeding right. She did just say she had a friend who was from the blood bank.

He waited for her answer, regardless of how she answered he flashed her a smile and walked away, “I hope to see you again miss Antje.”

Antje held her breath unintentionally until he was out of sight and then she slowly slid down to the ground with her back on the wall. She looked at the end of the alley where he'd disappeared from, blinking dumbly. The entire time she'd hidden really well any sort of attraction or interest in him. She hadn't really meant to be so dismissive of him, but she was forever stuck between being anxious of being discovered, which made her nearly suicidal and depressed at her rejection from both humans and vampires and then there was all the normal emotional teenager/woman emotions. The emotions were always second to her dire situation and it's never ending woes.

Jesus Christ. Just because he's the first man on earth to talk to you doesn't mean you should plan the rest of your life with him Antje thought, angrily trying to not care about it. She scooped up all her materials and put them back in her bag neatly; she had to go anyways. Dinner time. She sighed and started walking.

Antje had to wait until the weekend to go back and work on her painting again. She'd certainly forgotten all about Luke, or had at least been trying to. It was dusk when she was going to go back, she worked better at night, it certainly killed time. She was thirsty, to her chagrin, and instead of taking anything with her she just decided oh we'll. She'd stop at a store and buy a two liter of soda and drink that instead.

Luck was a little restless that evening, and he did not get much sleep either. Antje seemed like a mystery box waiting to be opened. He was certainly extremely curious about her. He truly did hope he would see her again. Of course that wish was upheld that week.

After he just started his night sift with his human friend Rick, Luicfer ran the register of the small convenience store. He watched people go to a from often. He occasionally chatted up the people that bought stuff because he was friendly like that, sometimes people were too afraid to talk to him. Yep it was a normal day, just like any other. Until he saw Antje walk through the doors of the shop.

He watched her, ever move she made he watched. He watched as she pondered what to get, deciding upon two sodas. She did not actually look up at him when she placed the soda’s on the counter. She must never look up at people, which was understandable. Luke placed his elbow on the counter and rested his head on his hand and flashed a large smile at her. He did not take her things and scan them, instead he waited for her to look up and notice him. He wanted to see her surprised face, he was sure she would look at him to see why he was not doing his job.

“Miss Annnntjee.” He said when she finally looked up at him.
