Five Thousand Club
Name: Tome Alderan

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Personality: Tome is harsh and almost cruel upon first glance. He's lived a hard life and it shows on him, in the way he almost never smiles. The only people he's ever cared about were his mother, and his half-sister.

History: Tome was born to an elven king by a faerie mother. His mother, after his birth, was too much of a scandal and was banished from the kingdom, but her son was allowed to stay. He was treated like trash, by even the king, and had to work ten times as hard as anyone to gain any sort of shred of approval. He was penalized and beaten for any tiny failure, and because of all of the bad consequences of doing anything wrong, he grew up having to do everything perfectly. The lack of affection or even approval from anyone caused him to become hard-hearted and cold.

The only person Tome has ever cared about is his younger sister, Fawn. She's been weak and ill her whole life, and when he was finally old enough and strong enough, he was given a job, to protect and take care of her, in a place a bit distant from the castle - outside the kingdom, at a solitary house by a lake. Tome suspects part of it is to get him out from under the king's feet, but he doesn't mind so long as he's able to keep Fawn safe. Not wanting to leave her alone for any period of time, he's finally broken down and bought a human slave to assist him.

Because of his mixed heritage, Tome has the ethereal beauty and pointed ears of an elf, but the bright yellow eyes of a faerie. (not purple. Yellow lol Also, short hair like in second pic)

Other: His sister is 12 years old and doesn't often leave the house. His days are spent caring for and entertaining her, and cleaning the house, as well as running quick trips to the kingdom for supplies.

Name:

Mia Terrence

Age:

18

Gender:

Female

Personality:

Mia pretends to be a friendly and obedient slave that would always follow her masters orders no matter what they are. Nevertheless, in reality, she is a pretty outspoken and brave girl who is truly friendly and caring towards those she thinks actually deserve it. When she doesn't pretend, Mia is an extroverted girl who, though stubborn and sometimes hot headed, has a noble heart and will not hesitate to stand for what she believes in. Her sense of justice can, most of the times, be clouded by her vengeful ways.

History:

Mia was born to a small and simple family which consisted of only her and her parents. She used to live on a comfy house in the woods and was raised there. During her first years she lived happily with her mother and her father. However, everything changed when her mother started to act strange and distant, making her father worry and suspicious at the same time. When Mia's father discovered his wife had had an affair and had become pregnant of a non human creature and even worse wanted to keep the baby he left Mia and her mother behind, though Mia was still too small to understand what was truly going on.

Time went by and Mia's half-brother was born, he was different, Mia could tell, and had some beautiful and strange pointy ears. Mia lived happily once again, this time alongside her baby brother and her mother, that was, however, for a few years, as both Mia's mother and brother fell ill and eventually died. Mia was pushed to live on the streets by herself until she found her dad a few years later, now re married and with a family. He didn't took Mia in but he did told her the reason why he had abandoned her 'sinful' mother and her. Ever since, Mia had hated both her dad and the elven king and, wanting to avenge both her mother and her brother, she decided to take revenge on the man who had tore her family apart.

She made herself a slave and, though she knew she couldn't really take revenge on the king himself, she decided to take revenge on his other illegitimate son, who Mia believed to have received the privileges her own brother had been denied to have because of his human heritage. Therefore, at the first opportunity to work with him, Mia took the job, wanting to get close to the king's son and destroy him, hence, taking revenge on the king as well, unknowing which have been the king's son real misfortunes.

Appearance:

Mia has got both her mother's complexion and rare amethyst-blue eyes. Her hair is that one of her father.

Other:

She has got a large, nasty scar across her back.

((Ooo, speaking of scars, I forgot about Tome's. He's got a bunch of different scars everywhere, and a brand on the back of his right shoulder that looks sorta like this:

Oh, it's perfectly okay! I must head off to bed right now, but will start posting tomorrow! I love your charrie btw! xD I think him bringing him to the house would be good x)

It felt as if things had gone too smoothly. Nothing went smoothly for Tome - but then, this wasn't for him. This was for his precious little sister, and everything went smoothly for her, excluding her health. Tome had sent word ahead, of course, to receive approval of the idea of keeping a human slave, and to have one ready for when he arrived. He didn't want to take very long, as he had to leave Fawn alone in the process, but this was supposed to keep that from ever happening again. He had stocked up carefully so that he wouldn't have to leave before he had sized up the human and found out if she was a danger. A female, obviously, to make Fawn more comfortable, and a human because humans couldn't practice magic and usually weren't very strong.

The girl was smaller than him, but most young human women were, and she didn't seem too weak, so he took her. He had a carriage with a driver in it to take him home, also for issues of timing, and that would drive away with the cart and horses after dropping he and his new slave off. For most of the ride, Tome remained in silence, but when they were about ten minutes or so away, he finally spoke up, his cheek on a hand and his gaze alert out the window.

"I won't have you do anything you aren't capable of." He said simply, without preamble. "For the most part, you will take care of cleaning and other tasks around the house. If you don't know how to do what's required of you, I'll teach you." He didn't expect her to now everything, especially the things she would eventually have to do for Fawn. Just because he wasn't particularly nice didn't mean he was unreasonable.
((Also, Fawn. Or, close enough. She'd be full elf, so pointy ears))

It had taken quite a while for the young girl to get a chance to perform her revenge, she had set her eyes on the king’s son, but up until now she hadn’t had a real opportunity to get close to him and that had made her feel even more frustrated day by day. She had even moved to the town near the house she knew he habited, but she couldn’t even get near the place. Like that, time had gone by and Mia had to deal with the constant fear of being sold to someone who would eventually take her away and would separate her from her only chance of ‘redemption’

Nevertheless, Mia’s luck seemed to be working for her this time, and with an unexpected turn of events she now found herself riding beside that whom she had chose to use to quench her thirst for revenge. She tucked one loose strand of her hair behind her ear. The silence was suffocating but if there was one thing she had managed to learn from those past years as a slave was that she was not to break a silence if the master didn’t take the decision to speak first. So she had nibbled down on her lip as she forced herself to focus on the road.

After what seemed like an eternity to Mia, the man finally spoke. She looked up at him, her amethyst-blue eyes making their way to his face. She heard everything patiently, listening carefully to each of the things he had to say. When he fell silent again she nodded “Yes, Master” She finally managed to say, her voice coming out as a soft and soothing chiming of bells.

(Oh my God. Is that Rin? So pretty! x3)

((Yup :3 Vocaloids ftw! Lol))

Tome grimaced a bit, shaking his head, when she answered him, her voice small and weak. He needed so,done docile, yes, but not someone so subservient that he would begin to feel guilty. He had grown up as close to being a slave as any, and he didn't particularly like the idea of a person - human or elf or faerie - belonging to someone so thorough that the owner could do whatsoever they pleased to the slave. He'd been beaten often as a child and adolescent, and knew the feeling of absolutely no one caring if he were hurt, or even dying, at all.

"My name is Tome," He said, after a moment of silence, "And you may address me however you wish, so long as it is not 'Master'." Just because he had a terrible fate as a child and even now didn't mean he wished it on anyone else.

Mia blinked at Tome's statement, clearly surprised by it. In her head, she had created a whole different image of him. She had thought of him as cocky and arrogant as she had thought his father to be, he was a king's son after all. Instead, such a simple comment as that made Mia realize this guy seemed to be pretty humble. Mia had always been good at reading people, it had been of the things she had always felt proud about. So she knew that if she had met Tome under any other circumstances she would have thought of him as 'good' even underneath the evident harsh appearance.

Nevertheless, she stopped herself from letting such thoughts going any further. She wouldn't a let herself to think of that man as 'good'. Because as such she knew guiltiness would soon follow and she was not allowed to have any mercy on him, nor have second thoughts regarding the vengeance she wanted to fulfill. So she shut those thought on a tiny box before she nodded again "Yes, Sir" She finally stated.

(Totally agree!! *^* xD )

Tome fought the urge to roll his eyes, just nodding instead. "Better. And you?" He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, not bothering to turn his head away from the window. "What is your name? Or would you prefer that I call you Slave Girl?" No one would prefer that, he was sure, but he wasn't sure how else he was going to get her to tell him her name. She wasn't very forthcoming with answers, and he suspected she wouldn't until he asked something of her directly. He didn't particularly want to call her Slave, but he would if she wouldn't answer him, even though he knew Fawn would like it less than even he. She had always been treated kindly by slaves and servants alike, though, and would likely try to befriend this one as well. He would have to keep close watch.
((Your sig is so distracting xD I just sit here watching it over and over and going "D'awwwww! :3" lol))

How funny that man was. He even asked her for her name. She had only had a few masters before, maybe just 3 or 4 but they had never took the time to ask her name out "It is your choice, Sir. But my name is Mia" She answered after a moment of silence. How bothersome. Mia had always had a hard time acting so obedient and such, it made her feel inferior but right there she had to bit her tongue not to be disrespectful, first she had to win herself that man's favor and trust and the only way she could think of to achieve that, was to act like the 'perfect' slave, or what she actually thought of the perfect slave stereotype.

Before, it had been a real challenge to act like that, for Mia had always been a girl who believes no one has the right to own the other. She had gotten herself into trouble with her first master because of the way she spoke to him and as such she had gained herself the sole long scar on her back. Ever since she had had to learn to keep her mouth shut to avoid trouble and fortunately over the time had managed to refine it.

(Awn I know! It's just so cute! When I first saw it I couldn't help myself but watch it countless of times with an idiotic smile on my face, believe me! xP)

Tome glanced at her again, made a quiet sound of acknowledgement, and didn't speak again. When they reached the house, he got out first and came around to help her down, his hand curled around the rope lead that bound her wrists. He sent the driver off and guided Mia inside with him, letting her in first and shutting the door quietly behind them. He untied the knots and wound up the rope as he walked deeper in the house.

"Wait here a moment." He said, and jogged up the stairs to his sister's room, knocking on the mostly open door before stepping inside. "I'm home, Fawn." He said quietly, walking over and kneeling next to her bedside. "Yes, I bought someone." He added with a sigh when she looked t him suspiciously. "We need help around here and there isn't anyone trustworthy." A slave wasnt trustworthy either, but would at least be more obedient, he hoped.

Fawn huffed at him, but didn't do more than give him a hug hello and let him tuck her back into her blankets. He would come back to her once he'd spent more time instructing Mia. Before returning to her, though, he found a loose bracelet he had prepared with a binding charm earlier, one that would keep her a certain distance from the house unless he instructed otherwise, or unless she was desperate enough to cut her own arm off - he highly doubted that. He had seen strength in her, but not that much.

When he got back downstairs, she was right where he left her and he just nodded. "Good. You'll have a day or two to rest and settle in, should you need it. I know the slavers aren't exactly gentle." He held out the bracelet to her. "Put this on."

Mia had stayed still on her spot when he had told her to wait a moment. As he disappeared upstairs she took the chance to let out a relieved sigh escape her lips. Well she had made it safely to his home, for now she had managed to enter his house to say the least. It was, however, kind of gloomy. She had expected the million of slaves, the fancy decorations, the extravagant resources. Nevertheless, there seemed to be none. It didn't resembled the house where a king's child would live in.

Mia crossed her arms above her chest for a moment as she skimmed her eyes around the place and absently twirled one loose curl of her light colored hair with her index finger. So that would be her new home for the time being, huh? As her eyes stopped on the stairs she raised her brow a little. What could it be that had made him practically run all the way up? While she thought about it, Tome was already going downstairs, making Mia's relaxed position stiffen as she straightened and unfolded her arms to let them hang to her sides, keeping her head kind of low in fear of appearing disrespectful.

Mia then nodded quietly at his indications, only looking up when he held out something for her, eyeing it curiously. Somehow it resulted kind of familiar to her, as if she had seen something like that in the past, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't quite remember it. She slowly took the bracelet between her long fingers and slid it on her wrist, still wondering what was it.

Tome nodded his approval once she had the bracelet on and just gestured towards the inside of the mouse. "It's to keep you from running away, that's all. If you absolutely must have it removed, only ask." If she had a good enough reason, he would remove it for whatever it was that she wanted to remove it for, then put it back on. "It's charmed against water, so you will be able to bathe with it without it growing anything."

Leading her further into the house, he showed her where the kitchen, sitting room and such were, where cleaning supplies were kept, and finally took her up the stairs. He closed Fawn's door quietly before Mia could see in and just glanced at her. "My sister's bedroom." He said, his voice kept low. "You are not to step foot inside unless I tell you otherwise. Quiet now. I don't want to wake her." Tome had learned long ago to walk in complete silence, enough so that it was just something he did all the time now, but humans were loud and clumsy. He didn't want Mia interrupting Fawn's rest.

Mia blinked before she raised her wrist to her face, taking a closer look of the bracelet this time. ‘Nice, so it is like a different and much more deathly kind of chains’ She thought to herself rather sarcastically. This man seemed to be much more cautious than her other masters. Her amethyst eyes looked for his for a moment and as they found their way to some pair of yellow ones, like liquid gold, she averted her gaze to the side almost immediately, her hand dropping to her side.

As he showed her the house she fidgeted absently with the bracelet, nodding at each of the places on the house he pointed out. Now, even though it sort of felt more real than ever it also felt so unreal. She was really going to live there. All those years thinking about vengeance, all the time being even delirious about this moment and still it kind of felt like a dream.

Her train of thought was, however, interrupted when he spoke again. Mia stopped fiddling with the bracelet and suppressed a frown. A sister? Did he have a sister? She felt kind of deceived. She had never heard of that fact before. Without really realizing it, she tilted her head to the side lightly, trying to get a glimpse of the room’s door as if by doing so she would be able to see the girl standing right in front of it. She then stopped herself when she heard Tome saying “You are not to step foot inside unless I tell you otherwise” And quickly straightened, correcting her mistake.

Mia too had learnt to be quiet, if only because on her first job she had been forced find ways to go unnoticed to avoid being punished. Her first master had taken a fancy in punishing her and on doing much more... horrible things ever since she had dared to speak back at him, tired of it Mia had to avoid being either heard or seen by the lord. In the end, it kind of had become a habit and her other masters would either congratulate her or scold her when she ‘appeared out of no where’ every time she was called. She nodded at Tome, it wouldn’t be a problem.

Tome considered telling her that she could speak, just not loudly, but let it go for now. There would be time for that later. Shaking his head, he led her on and pointed towards his own bedroom door, the bathroom in the hall, and then her own room right across from it. For convenience and because it had always been that way. Fawn had the room that had its own bathroom, and he had the one across so that he could be at her side in the smallest amount of steps.

"I've gotten it cleaned up and ready for you, but there isn't much of . . . practical value inside, I'm afraid." He pushed open the door and let her precede him so she could take a look. All the bedrooms were sizable enough, it being a big building for just two people, or even three, and there was a bed, a table, two chairs, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a small, empty bookshelf in the room. "I haven't had the chance to fetch clothes for you, but you may borrow some of mine until I've sent for more." He stepped back to the doorway, tour concluded, and waved her ahead to the bathroom. "Now I suppose you would like to get clean and settle in. The towels are inside, I'll bring clothes for you and you may take as long as you like while I prepare dinner."

Mia's eyes skimmed around the room. It was... perfect actually. She walked to the empty bookshelf and ran her finger across it before letting a smile escape her lips. It had been quite a while since she had last read, she remembered the bookshelf on her old house and her eyes softened at the thought. It was so pretty and full of books. When his voice interrupted her thinking again she looked back at him and shook her head, for once talking more than a couple of words "The room is perfect, Sir. Thank you for the clothes as well" Her voice was, as always, calm and soft. Mia had always felt happy because she felt that it resembled her own mother pretty voice, though Mia would always think hers could never compare to her mother's.

As he stepped back to the doorway, she took long steps to follow him. Glancing at the bathroom as he mentioned it and raising her eyebrow when he was done talking "Are you going to be the one to prepare dinner?" Her voice came out as low this time as she remembered the be quiet thing. Now that was definitely strange. She was the slave, right? More importantly, had she gone with the wrong person? The more she talked with him, and it had been quite a few exchange of words, the more she thought of him as a rather normal person instead that a king's child.

Tome looked back at her, having started moving towards his own bedroom to get closed, and hummed a quiet, questioning sound. When he realized what the problem was, he just shook his head. "My sister has a very specific schedule at times. I don't know how well you cook and I haven't the time to remake something if you don't know enough. I have always prepared dinner for us. It isn't a concern."

He enjoyed cooking, actually, the methodic motions and the science of it. He liked being able to provide for Fawn. Walking away from Mia, Tome went into his bedroom and picked out things that he thought would fit her best, bringing a small, neatly folded pile back to her and setting them in her hands. "Off you go, then. Take your time, if you wish. I'll let you know when the food is ready."

(OMG Sorry if the post is too long! v.v)

Mia looked down at the neatly folded clothes which had been placed on her hands before giving out a nod "Thank you" She finally granted before sliding herself inside the bathroom and closing the door behind her. She took a step forward and looked over her shoulder at the door "Strange man" She thought out loud as she undressed. Her simple white dress falling to the ground as she slid it off. Barefooted as she was, she made her way to the tub which was located at the other side of the room and let the water run, softly sitting by the edge as she absently brushed her fingertips against the flowing water.

She had talked about revenge, but now that she had the chance to perform it she didn't quite know how to do it. The man didn't seem greedy and so money didn't seem to be a weak spot. He didn't seem to be arrogant either and so humiliating him didn't seem to be an option. For a moment she could only think of the girl he had called his sister, that who she was yet to see, but Mia didn't really see herself hurting anyone else but him. She allowed for a soft and frustrated exhalation to escape her naturally red lips before she twisted the tub's knob to the side, stopping the water from coming.

As her body got submerged under the hot water she felt how stiff she actually was. Her muscles then slowly relaxed and Mia slowly closed her eyes. It had been a while since she had been allowed to have a hot bath. Usually she was forced to take a bath with buckets full of cold water. She had gotten used to it, but they would definitely not beat a good shower like that. She took a reasonable period of time on the tub, humming softly a melody as she scrubbed each part of her body thoroughly.

Several minutes later she was already pushing herself out the tub and draining the water as it disappeared inside the small hole on the tub's floor. She picked up the clothes she had been given from the floor and unfolded them, sliding herself inside. They were not as big as she thought they would be but she still looked small on them. The sleeves were too long and so were the pants, nor her feet or her hands could be seen. So she carefully rolled up the sleeves and did the same to the pants before quietly leaving the bathroom and walking to her room to leave her own clothes.

Tome had told her he would let her know when the food was ready so was he telling her for her to wait to be summoned? That man did confused her. His orders were kind of ambiguous. As she thought about it, she let herself fall on top of the bed with a noiseless thump. She raised her hand above her to take a look of the bracelet again. It kind of felt as if with that he stated the I own you thing 'So.. I'm here mom' She thought to herself as she stared at the accessory.

((It's okay xD I don't mind reading long posts lol I just feel bad when mine are short after))

Tome went immediately down to the kitchen to begin preparing dinner while Mia bathed, wanting to get it done so that Fawn could eat. If he woke her for dinner, she would perhaps want to come out and walk a little, or be carried outside to sit for a while. She generally did try to be as active as she could, but too many of her days were spent just lying in bed, trying to rest or simply lacking the strength to stand or walk. He never minded being her legs.

Fawn liked her fowl cooked a bit overdone, but he did set aside a better piece of meat for Mia since he knew most people didn't like it that way. He filled two plates with the foul, a lightly spiced rice dish, and a small portion of greens, and took one on a tray with silverware and a glass of fruit juice up the stairs with him. The bathroom door was open, so he knew Mia was done, and called softly towards her bedroom door.

"A plate is ready for you downstairs," He said, switching the tray to one hand to open Fawn's door. "You may find a glass and drink whatever you would like." He wasn't going to keep food from her unless she started to eat like an animal. He had to keep the house supplied, very strictly, and he would portion out her food for her if she had to.

Once the message was across, he took the tray into Fawn's room and closed the door almost all the way, leaving only a crack so that he could hear if Mia called for something. He stayed with his sister to help her eat in case she needed it, and would later eat his own meal after it had long since gone cold. It was how he always did things, because she always came first, no matter what. He was used to it, having eaten far worse as a child, and he didn't count anything a burden when it was for her.

(Oh no! There's nothing to feel bad about! It's just that sometimes I may get a bit too descriptive with my charries feelings and such xD )

Mia turned her face to the side when she heard Tome's voice, her eyes on the door. She nodded and with a soft sigh pushed herself off the bed. She stepped outside her room and as softly as she could she closed the door behind her, trying carefully to avoid producing any sound. She had taken seriously the quiet part and was determined to go as unnoticed as possible.

As she reached the kitchen, she spotted her plate and took it with her to a table before bringing over a chair and sitting down in front of the table. Before, in her previous houses, the table located on the kitchen was huge; there were at least as many chairs as there were slaves, for the table also doubled as the eating place for them. Mia set her cutlery on the table and with her fingers raked her hand through her hair, braiding the still wet strands in a sole loose braid which she shoved to one side as she was done with it.

Mia ate slowly, she was used to do so by now. If only because she was not used to eat a lot of food. So when food was served she tried to enjoy every bit of it, therefore taking her time on each bite she got of it. She remembered a time when her mother used to call her a glutton, for Mia ate quite a lot when she was little. Nevertheless, time went by and she became a slave, the food was scarce and it had felt as if he stomach had simply shrunk.

(Awn He's just such a good brother! :') )

Tome took his time getting Fawn to eat, then to finish up the water he'd brought for her, and sat with her a while still to be sure her stomach didn't reject it. When she smiled for him to let him know it would be all right, he gave a small one back of his own and felt relieved. She didn't always get ill like that, but it was always a good thing when she didn't.

After she was done, though, she wanted to leave her room, so he warned her again about Mia, just to let her know there was another person in the house, and picked her carefully up off the bed. She was small, compared to him and to most everyone, and he cradled her in his arms as he walked out of the room, opening the door carefully and stepping out. He carried her down the stairs to the sitting room, setting her gently down on the couch and moving to open up the window

"Now you eat dinner." She said, her voice quiet and soft like always and her eyes stern and caring on his.

He wanted to say he could wait, but there was no denying her, so he sighed, pressed a kiss to the top of her head, and just gave in. "I'm going, I'm going," He muttered, walking away to the kitchen to get his own food. It was cold, as expected, but he didn't mind, just filled a plate and took it back out to sit on the floor near her. When she looked towards the piano in the far corner of the large room, he followed her eyes.

"Will you play for me?" Fawn asked softly, curling up with the blanket that usually was draped across the back of the couch. He nodded, without speaking, and was tempted to stand, but she shook her head. "When you're done eating." He'd learned to play just for her.

Mia was washing her plate when Tome suddenly walked into the kitchen. He seemed to be really concentrated on something because he simply entered the place, filled a plate with food and walked away just as quickly as he had walked inside. He hadn't even looked at her even once nor he have gave a single gesture of acknowledgment of her presence. Mia's brows furrowed and she pursed her lips together, however she did not speak, nor mutter a single noise.

Then, when she was about to return to her room upstairs another voice reached her ears and she turned her head back, brow raised. Curiosity took over and made her move towards that voice. Who was it? Was the only think that crossed her mind as she neared another side of the house, if she remembered it correctly Tome had told her it was the sitting room.

She peeked out her head to take at least a glimpse of the one who had spoken and froze right on her spot. A little girl with pointy ears was curled up on a blanket and she reminded her so much of her little Elliot. Mia's own eyes softened as she pulled herself off the wall just to lean against it, hidden from view. Was she the sister Tome had talk about? She was so pretty. Like a little angel.

When he was finished eating, Tome showed Fawn his empty plate just to placate her, making a are-you-happy-now face that got a quiet laugh out of her. It made him smile slightly and he took his time finishing his drink just to make her happy, then got up and picked her up with him, blanket and all. He kept her bundled up like that and took her over to a chair closer to the piano, settling her in a large armchair set up just for that purpose. It wasn't entirely big, but it dwarfed her small form, and it was big enough that they sometimes sat there together and did nothing when she didn't feel like going back upstairs.

Tome took a seat at the piano bench, lifting up the cover from the keys and running his fingers over them a bit before starting to play a soft, soothing melody. She liked anything he played - she'd always loved the piano - but she wasn't quite having a good enough day to waste energy trying to clap along or even dance, as she sometimes did. He missed the days that she had been able to danced as her heart desired, but such as it was and he lived every day to make things better for her. If it meant living his life in this place, taking care of her every second of the day, he would do it.

((Something like this, ignoring the creepy picture xD

Mia closed her eyes when the melody resonated all over the room. It was so heart warming. It brought back so much memories from the past. When Mia used to sat just beside her mother at the piano bench just to hear her play. The sound it produced was so lovely, so overwhelming. Mia had looked up to her mother, she had loved each side of her and even when her father had told her after so many years she had had an affair, Mia would never bring herself to hate her, for she and Elliot were the people she had loved the most in the whole world.

She let herself slid down to the floor as her body still rested against the wall. Her head rocking back and forth lightly to the rhythm of the melody. The way he touched the keys was so full of feelings that Mia could tell for sure Tome truly loved and cherished the person who came to his mind when he played the piano. Mia could have spent the entire day and night listening to that piano, for such a gentle and sincere melody would be always worth it.

(Honestly, the whole image of him playing to his sick sister and all as I listened to the melody was just so... overwhelming. It is truly a beautiful melody! :') Makes me want to play it)

((Makes me wish I had any musical talent besides singing lol I don't have the patience or attention span to learn an instrument, I think))

Tome played quietly through the song, aware that there was more than just his sister's eyes on his back but not caring. He didn't truly care if someone like Mia saw any of his 'softer' emotions. It was only his father and the people he had used to report to that cared about any sort of weakness like that. He had grown used to it, but he had also grown used to doing whatever he wanted around Fawn, without boundaries of rank or anything expected of him. She was the only one that had ever saw through his hard outer shell, and she continued to be that way.

His fingers moved smooth and practiced over the keys as he played, not one song but two, then three, and a fourth as well. When he stopped after the fourth to look back, as he had after the end of every song, Fawn was smiling a little and not looking sleepy, something he took as a good sign for the rest of the day. "The sun still has a couple of hours left," He said, swinging his legs around to get to his feet and walking over to Fawn's side. "What say we go and sit outside for once?"

Her eyes lit up and she reached her hands up to him because she knew he was in a carrying mood, though he did let her walk around when she wanted to. He picked her up into his arms again, blanket and all, and glanced at Mia as he walked to the back door. He didn't ask if she was hurt because he knew by the way she sat and the way she held herself that she wasn't. "You can come if you'd like."
