Benders Academy [Inactive]

"Bye." Maika said as she waved Lee goodbye. She said goodbye to Misa and walked up to her room. She decide to go train also, so she changed into loose white pants and a green and gold sleeveless shirt. She was thankful that the school didn't have any dress codes. She made her way outside to where the fire benders practice. Practicing bending was everyone's first class, and it started in about 30 minutes, but Maika decide to come early to get a long warm up.

Fukumi breathed a bit and calmed down, his face returning to normal. Looking over at the clock, he realized that class would start in 30 minutes. He decided that he should just show up early for something to do. Besides, he hadn't used his bending in awhile and he needed to let off some steam.

(HA THE PUNS. STEAM)

He wore his normal clothes and just left the room, slipping outside and looking around for the training area. While walking there he had hoped that nobody would be around to see his obscure bending, however upon arriving he noticed that the girl Maika from earlier was practicing. He didn't want to disturb her, so he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck and spoke.

"I.. I don't want to.. Interrupt or anything.." He said to her, looking down at the ground.

Maika was bending fire over her head.

"Hmm?" She hummed as she looked over to Fukumi.

"Oh, hey, Fukumi!" Maika bended the fire over to the big pile of wood where it slowly caught fire. She looked back at Fukumi.

"What are you doing here?" She asked as she walked over to him.

Since there wasn't a large group of people around, Fukumi felt more relaxed and less pressured.

"Well... I just thought I would come to practice early... I haven't bended in awhile." He said as he conjured up some fire in his hand and smiled looking down at it.

"Although, I can't do anything too special like you can..." He said as the fire in his hand turned a green color.

"What? You mean my electricity bending?" She rhetorically asked. She looked at the fire in his hand as it changed color.

"Whoa! Did that fire just change color?" Maika asked smiling.

Fukumi looked down at his hand, unaware that it had changed.

"Oh, yeah. It did.." He said slightly surprised.

"But, your power is certainly better than mine or any other fire benders..." He said as he made two other fireballs and then started to juggle. His pink and red eyes followed them as they spun in circles.

"That's the way the world works I guess." He commented.

"Well, my case is extremely rare, I grew up hearing that all the time." Maika sighed.

"If anything I think that it's really cool that you can change the color of your fire." Maika made a little ball of fire and spun it above her finger, if it was on her finger it would burn.

"Mine only stays one color..."

"Color however, doesn't effect how well it fairs against enemies. I suppose it's only for looks." He says with a shrug as all of the fire disappears. He could at least be proud of his amazing control of fire. He had been learning his entire life through books and teachers of all the sorts. His mother wanted the best education for him, that way he would turn out to be a great fire bender just like his father was.

"But, it's still cool." Maika said to him. She continued to spin the ball of fire. She remembered when her mother taught her to do that. Memories flooded her mind, good and then bad. Maika frowned, closed her eyes trying to fight back tears. The fire she held disappeared and she sighed opening her eyes again. She smiled acting like everything was totally fine.

Amaya had observed long enough, classes started a bit later, she might as well go over to where the water benders practice and get some in herself. Even though she taught now, she still trained all the time, going on the occasional trip as well.

She reached the shores of the body of water, making an icy pathway floating over the water to the center of the lake area, walking across the slippery surface as if it was regular ground. She let the path melt away behind her, sitting upon a circular disk of ice in the center of the place, simply listening to the lapping water for a moment.

Ein had just arrived a few minutes ago and rushed herself to the practice class. She looked around, rather shy. Ein had just got here and she was already confused and alone. She simply began to bend a bit of water, not trying to show off, she simply threw the water around in the air like a whip of sorts.

"Uh.. It may not be my place to ask this, but are you alright?" He asked, looking at her concerned. She was obviously trying to cover up a sad face. Fukumi had seen his mother do that a lot when she thought about her late husband.

"I-I'm fine." She stated quickly. She tried to change the subject.

"What time is it? We should probably get ready for class and everything..."

Zuko was watching as everyone was doing their thing. He looked at his watch. "Time for class." He sighed. He got up from sitting on a limb of a tree. He went into the school, and sat in the classroom, waiting and sitting near the window. He looked out the window, seeing the wind blow the leafs blowing. He wanted to see fire burning the tree.

Jong Jong watched as the time passed. It wasn't his class and he was glad. He just sat down, with his feet and legs crossed. He put his fist together and meditated. Something that he was going to show his first class. Meditation was a good way to control your emotions. Something that every bender should learn.

Amaya watched absentmindedly as some practiced early, gauging the students skill levels. Deciding to do a little something herself, she focused, her hand skimming the water next to her as large ripples and a flurry of bubbles could suddenly be seen. She always made sure to put on a little display at the beginning of the year. It helped prevent students from feeling overly superior, showed them how much they had to learn to get up to her level. She didn't like showing off that much though, and it was rare when she demonstrated the full extent of her abilities expect on the first day. Some people enjoyed the show she guessed, which was a plus.

-Myri Talakitsu-

Myri flicked her wrist back and forth as the flower danced along with her. She wiggled her fingers and the flower twisted its head towards the sun streaming through the window. Satisfied with the position of the flower pot on the windowsill, her blue eyes moved to the rest of the room. She had finally moved in and everything was in its place. Her eyes rolled to the clock and widened in horror. She was going to be late. On the first day. She hurried out the door of her dorm, her braid swinging dangerously with her quick stride. Her first class was... oh, that's right. By the lake. To practice water bending. Wonderful. She hurried outside and approached just in time to watch Amaya's display of skill. Although impressed, Myri opted to stay back, safely away from the lake, and simply observe.

-Kyo Makashi-

Kyo had shown up early and reveled in the fact that no one had noticed him, leaning against a tree in the shadows, taking in the students. A male and a female were already there, but they were just talking. Suddenly, another male joined the outside class, and then a teacher. It appeared as though class was starting. This would be interesting. He pushed himself off of the tree, keeping his arms crossed against his broad chest. He joined the others, facing the teacher, and put his hands behind his back. He stood in an almost military-like position, his feet shoulder-width apart and his back straight. He stood unmoving, his face impassive as he waited for the class to begin.

-Mizuki Makashi-

Mizuki gave a sigh as she glanced out the window, wondering how her little brother would be fairing. She hoped he would be alright. He always had trouble... fitting in. He was never much of a people person. She stood from her desk chair, pulling her reddish-brown hair in a high ponytail and tying it off with a red ribbon. She grabbed her clipboard with her speaking points and student's names and headed outside. She had called for class to be in the field right next to where the firebendings would be practicing, mostly for selfish reasons. She wanted to make sure Kyo wouldn't do anything stupid. However, out in that field, she had set up an airbending obstacle course, readying to get right into things on the first day.
