He's more like a brawler that uses magic on the side. He can totally function without magic, but he just finds life much easier with its use.

And yes, they are huge, lol
 
That's fine. It works out either way. Most other characters would have a tough time dealing with his magical attacks, probably unable to get anywhere close to him without getting shot down by a lightning bolt, but Arryn's hammer makes those a non-issue, so he's still best equipped to deal with Raijin of all the characters on the light side so far unveiled (besides Roland). Or at least, so it seems to me.
 
We're sneaking into the Shadow Queen's castle. Silver's disguised as a cat and following us. We're being attacked by 20 orcs. I'm hoping your character can deal with the orcs first and, when Silver reveals herself, he can be the one to fight her.

ooh, NPCs? They can remain in the Aether until something prompts them otherwise, correct? Or, better question: will they have an impact on the story from the Aether?
 
Cool, cause I should have an NPC for Raijin's lieutenant who was left in charge after Raijin left for Blackrock

What kind of timeline do you have in mind for the events in your character's history, if any? In relation to Lucrezia's conflict, that is. 'Cause I'd like to say that the ships they initially encountered were from decades prior, sailing under the reign of Roland and Ophelia's grandfather, who was paranoid and saw shadowkin behind every corner, responsible for every bad thing that happened. The sort of person who would, knowing nothing about them, label Nevians Shadowspawn and declare war on them because of how they looked.

The current queen of Alcamoth, Ophelia, is more shrewd. I imagine she's very interested in trying to negotiate a peace with the Nevians, who seem to be allying with the dark side for their own survival more than for any serious ideological differences with the light. I can imagine the Church of Light is less inclined to make peace with them, but Ophelia wants to fight them on this.

Perhaps this can be something that plays out behind the scenes when all the main characters are on Earth.
 
Oki doki Aetherian NPCs are done, rest will probably be Earth. Left bare bones to thread them into player lore, but they're all gonna have a role to play.

Speaking of cat treats, I had this funny idea in my head where someone distracts Silver with a laser pointer once they get to Earth. It was a pretty amusing mental image.
