Fantasy Beast's Legacy Reboot

"I'd be surprised to see if they could..." Emilia said. Emilia cringed as Gabriel brought up the topic of the caretaker, and how practically no one else had gone to see the burial site. She adjusted herself and lowered herself to the ground, resting her head on her front paws. "I... I think they're trying to pretend it didn't happen," Emilia said slowly. She downcasted her eyes. "Or perhaps it's just too painful to go see the stone." She sighed and stood up again once she realized she just covered herself in mud. She shifted back and rubbed the dirt off her forearm. Gabriel was still twice her size while she was human.

After Levi made his statement he zoned out the tempting bamboo in his hand had already caught his eye once again but this was the last of his supply so he just put it away in the kitchen saving it for later. The fight between the two cats wasn't really anything special it was the usual between the two and it's not like they will ever seriously harm each other, turning back to the conversation. "So as far as the winged one's can tell there's nothing stopping us well besides the wall he pauses "But what happens if we could leave will we would you? I would" his mind was set on more bamboo and other foods as well.

Brutus tilted his head. "Emilia." Brutus said in a low tone. "I miss her too, she really loved each and everyone one of us equally, no favorites, no outcasts. I miss her too, greatly, everyday I go out to the place. Hoping that she is just sitting there and reading a book. But we shouldn't pretend, we have to stick together in this and accept that what happened, happened. We can't change the past, we can't change what happened to her, but we can still choose our future."

Brutus stood up on all four legs again. He silently watched Emilia shift from her fox form to her human. "It's not easy, I am not going to lie, Emilia, it's taking a toll on all of us." Brutus shook the water from his fur and shifted shortly afterwards.

"Come on Emilia, you'll be sick if you stay out here for too long." He said with a meek smile. "I'm sure one of the others already stopped the two from fighting."

Jeb noticed Emilia leaving. He contemplated it for a moment, and then thought that she might be onto something. Staying with these people was more than he could handle sometimes. He turned to Parker. "Just tell me if it's gonna happen.." Before walking through the front door, leaving the rest behind. It was still raining, but he wasn't planning on turning back into an owl anytime soon.

He hadn't planned on approaching her, but his natural urge to hang around people forced him when he noticed her conversation with Gabriel. With his hands in his pocket and his eyes half shut, he approached the two, not really saying anything, assuming that they'd tell him of if it's something personal. "Hey.."

Sammy gave a nod and spoke up murmuring, "If we can get over the wall, I'd be more than happy to. This place is home and all, but there is so much out there for us to see and explore. And the lack of food, there may be other delicious things to sink our teeth into." She gave off a little happy sigh thinking about all the other types of food their care-giver would make for the small 'family'. She rested her head on the table, "If we can, I want to leave these walls."

'If' it was going to happen? Seemed more like a matter of 'when', Parker pondered. The rest of them all seemed in general agreement that it was time they venture beyond the wall. They were all curious, even himself, but he could see the hesitation present in all of them. Lylah had raised a point, however, which could not be ignored- food. It was true that there was only so much they could hunt out here in their little enclosure, and now that their caretaker was gone, so were their supplies. It was now a matter of survival. It was a harsh truth, and he had trouble accepting it. The loss of their caretaker was still a very fresh wound, and he absolutely hated the idea of going on without her, but maybe it was what they had to do.

Parker glanced at Levi. Poor Levi. Their caretaker always had his favourite snack on hand, and now it seemed that would be the last stick of bamboo he would ever taste. Even a small gesture like that must have meant the world to him. She had something special for each and every one of them- including Parker.

He backed silently out of the room, making for the kitchen window again. He opened it up, then shifted and flew outside into the rain again. He had no problem flying in the rain, since his feathers were oily and kept the water from weighing him down, but the reason he didn't mind it was because of her. Parker was a late bloomer. He was so terrified of flying, that he simply didn't learn to fly until she spent the time to encourage him. Rain or shine she would take him outside to practise, and even built him a 'safehouse' (which was really just a little birdhouse nestled near the roof) where he could nest. He'd spent a lot of time there recently, ever since she passed. He perched, tucking in through the round entrance and settling into the insulated box. He watched the sky pour its contents, safe from the weather- safe from the world. If he had a choice, he wouldn't ever leave his safe zone, but he had a feeling he wouldn't have a choice in the matter.

Theo bit his lip when Levi threw the question his way. Part of him wanted to run and escape and be free, while he also we under the impression it really was best for the shapeshifters to stay inside of the walls and inside of the house where it was warm and dry. But that presented its own problems. What would happen to them if they remained here. Once upon a time, they would receive boxes and crates of foodstuffs. Foodstuffs, fabrics, clothing. It was slowing down now. The last crate that had been found was two months ago. Where did the crates come from? Theo didn't know. None of the others knew (or at very least he didn't think they did), and it was becoming a problem. Whoever delivered them needed to bring them faster. They were starting to starve.

'I don't know Levi,' Theo mumbled, turning around to face away from him. It was a rude move, but Theo didn't really have anything else to do and wasn't really thinking straight. 'I don't really know,' he said again, before collapsing to the ground, fur rippling over his thin frame. A tail grew, and his face extended, and then there Theo was, a wolf. It wasn't really uncommon for the shapeshifters to do this. It was normal, everyday procedure to change in front of others.

The wolf that was Theo made its way out of the kitchen and out into the hall, where he changed back into a human and slipped out the door, before changing back again and padding around the house. It had nothing to do.

Lucy watches as Theo thinks for a moment. He then turned wolf and walked off. "I'm gonna go talk to him. It's best of it's not a crowd." Lucy walks past the others and out into the hall. She heads outside in human form and she spots him in wolf walking around the house. Lucy runs up to him. "Theo, are you okay?"

Lylah watches as Parker leaves and then as Theo and Lucy leave having on intention to chase after them as Lucy suggests not to anyways. She wasn't one to run and chase after others in fear of their feelings may be hurt. She wasn't one to tip-toe around people's feelings, she often spoke the truth rather than sugar coat it. She wasn't rude for no reason though and of course she cared about everyone in this strange place they called home but she wasn't exactly a "motherly" or "best friend" type. She often did her own thing and that suited her just fine, she often wondered if it was her actual personality or the cheetah in her that made her that way. She liked read books and watch documentaries on the animals she and the others were. It was interesting to compare them to each other. I mean technically they were as one with their animal, she shouldn't really think she's one way or another. It still made her think though.

She gets up and washes her plate in the sink before looking up and out the window with an agitated sigh. She wanted to go outside but not in that type of weather. And it would be quite muddy for a while after that. She grumbles a little and makes her way towards the living the room to go sit at the bay window on her usual perch.

Sebastian keeps hearing arguments whether or not they should go past the walls. "Alright! If we want to go past the walls, might as well do it now, while we have food and our sanity is intact." He said, addressing them all.

Luna sighed. "Fine. Only because I want out of this place." She said, looking at them. She truthfully was very protective of her friends, just not Sebastian. She would rather rip his head off and eat it.
