Feel free to copy over your characters~

Before we begin, please note, as this is a reboot, everyone who created characters and participated in the previous version of this can feel free to copy over your sheets. For all of you who were in the previous last one, I'm must say I'm sorry for forgetting about this. The ship sank, and the crew were sent tumbling overboard. The strange metaphor is over.

Short version- Teenagers who can shapeshift into animals living together within in an enclosed space.

Long version-
There were two separate worlds. One of them was only ruled by animals and the other by humans (the other being akin to our Earth). The animals, while bearing the same level of "intelligence" as the humans in the other, were not as advanced as the humans, possibly due to their shapes and forms.

On occasion, small tears would open up between this world and that one, and when, for instance, a human stepped through, they would have to assume the appearance of animal, although it would be painfully obvious that they weren't of that world. The reverse for the animals was also true-they would become humans. However, these "humans" weren't as obviously "not" human as the humans who passed through into the opposite world were.

In the end, the world occupied by the animals began to crumble away, turning into nothing but a memory, and in a desperate attempt at saving their races and culture, some of them fled into the human world, where they had children, and then shortly died after. The children, however, due to being born in the human world could alter between being animals and humans upon desire.

The animals knew they would die after the children were born, the children ended up arriving in orphanages. In the orphanages, the children, due to being, young could not control their forms, and the various governments of the world could hardly not take notice of the reports of children swapping between being animals one moment and humans the next.

In an attempt to keep the children safe and relatively unknown, the different governments sent the children off to live in a house in a forest with a dangerous, yet false, reputation. There the children lived with an elderly lady, who looked after them for several years. She, however, passed away, leaving the children to fend for themselves.

The house was surrounded by an extensive garden, along with some of the forest within a series of large stone walls built around the building, sealing in the children (not perfectly sealing in. Of course there would be a few that would be able to fly, and they would fly out of the walls. They just wouldn't ever land, and would return back to the supposed safety of the walls).

The children were brought up never wishing to cross the wall and never do so. They have lived alone for many years and are extremely capable of surviving in both their human and animal forms.

Nobody goes near the forest, due to the unpleasant rumors and stories regarding the area. The children have never seen any other humans-barring the elderly lady who looked after them-and have never set foot out of the walls (excusing the ones who have flown around above the forested area). That is, of course, until it is noticed that there is something wrong with the walls.

Firstly, the house has grown since the previous version of this RP, and is now much bigger. Jut imagine it in a forest.

The bedrooms look much like this.

While the living room looks like this, except larger.

And the kitchen like this.

cosy-kitchen.jpg

The current season in this RP is autumn. As such, the forest looks very much like this.

Autumn-Forest-Wallpaper-1.jpg

And lastly, the style that the walls are built in. Imagine them to be a little bit higher.

AOB5284.jpg

1. All standard RpNation rules are to be followed.

2. No extreme amounts of cursing/etc

3. When creating a character application, please keep the animal shift

within reason. Example-A variety of dog would be within reason. An elephant would not be within reason.

3.1. Again with the animal shifts. Can we please have no double-ups? If you wish to reserve an animal, simply ask.

4. Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus are strictly prohibited.

5. Please refrain from one-liners.

5.1. Three line paragraph at minimum please.

6. Wait for others to post.

7. Keep it within the age rating. Fade to black when needed (which it most certainly is.)

8. Don't ignore actions made to you.

9. Should be obvious, but here it is. No Godmodding please.

10. If you have read these, place the word "Shift" in your character sheet somewhere.

11. Keep with the theme please. These teenagers aren't going to know popular music or anything.

12. Grammar people! It exists. Everyone makes mistakes with it, but please at very least try. You know, capitals on names and at the start of sentences. Capital "I". Commas and full-stops/periods exist too, you know.

"The rain, oh I enjoy the sound of it." A female crooned as she twirled a strand of her mahogany hair on her index finger. Her green eyes fixated to the windows that showed to outside. She sat herself up, and got up from the plush couch to the nearest window. Sammy took a seat on the wide window still that was there and paced her feet onto the cushioned seat and rested her head on her knees. She pushed all of her hair off to one side and gave a small smile, "I love the rain I see it as a lovely thing, but others see it bring sadness. . ." Her voice grew a bit more quiet as the recent loss of their care-giver struck her mind and she gritted her teeth slightly, then she sat up, burying her face into her hands, "Why did you have to go?" The young girl whispered trying to bite back the tears.

For crying out loud, she was 17, she had to pull herself together and act like a young adult, but at times, sometimes crying just seems to be the best relief and that was what Sammy wanted to do. Relieve herself of the pain, but for sure she wasn't going through this alone. Everyone felt the weight of it.

So instead of her crying, she allowed the rain to do so.

The sky was crying for her. The tears she didn't want to shed.

"Maybe the rain isn't such a lovely thing after all." She murmured to herself, hugging her knees closer to her body.

Luna sighed, looking out her window. The rain was cleansing, but she didn't feel like being cleansed. She sighed, pressing a hand to the glass. She sighed, stepping away from the window. She walked towards her door and headed downstairs. She flicked her tail as she walked downstairs, enjoying the peace and quiet of the house.

Levi sat in the middle of the living room floor in his panda form gnawing on some bamboo which was usually given to him to eat even in his human form he craved the taste of bamboo. He indifferent about the rain outside, he never really minded the rain and it kinda fit the mood after the lady past away surprisingly he didn't feel so sad he was doing what he usually did on rainy days.

Lucy sighs. She wanted so badly to go outside but didn't like to go out in rain or mud. She sits on the windowsill of the kitchen, watching the rain and nature inside the wall take its course. Not much went on in the confined space. She flicks her tail, for she was in her blonde cat form. Her green eyes dart as squirrels climb trees and droplets of rain come crashing down into the ground.

Lylah was stretched out in her cheetah form on a cushion in front one of the bay windows. She rested her head on her paws, eyes closed, and listening to the rain. It may seem like she was asleep but her ear would twitch every now and then to a noise of something nearby. It seemed like today would be a lazy day, nobody seemed to be doing much of anything. Though ever since the old lady died, there wasn't much pep or any kind of good spirit in the air. She opens her eyes at feeling her stomach rumble and stands up on her long limbs. She stretches and jumps down from the ledge and pads her way to the kitchen, shifting in mid step. She pushes some of her hair behind her ear and makes her way to the fridge and frowns at the selection. A few hot dogs and a chicken breast, apparently the meat being brought it was getting less and less and even more so, less palatable. She grabs a couple of the hot dogs to warm up in the microwave. "What are hotdogs even made from anyways?" She asks herself while waiting for them to warm up in the microwave.

Lucy's ear twitches as she hears some one enter the kitchen. She turns her head as she hears the famaliar microwave beep. She hears Lylah ask herself a question about hotdogs. She turns back towards the window and then stretches, leaning forward. Her claws had left small marks in the wood but she didn't care. She gets up and leaps off, landing on all fours and then turning into her human form. Her blonde hair dissapearred and shrunk on her body and grew on her head. Her facial features became more like a face and less like a snout and her whiskers went back into her face. Her tail shrunk away and her legs and arms and body expanded. She glances back Lylahs way before heading into the living room to May sit on the couch.

To Luna's dismay, the house was soon filled with the noise of other people. Sighing, she walked towards the kitchen. She opened the fridge door and found a slab of meat. She smiled and placed it on the counter. She shut the door and quickly transformed, taking the piece of meat off the counter and onto the floor where she could eat it.

Rain meant, "Be inside" and "Don't go outside, you'll get soaked and catch a cold!" But Parker rarely did what the weather told him to. In fact, he rather enjoyed it, granted it was not nearly a storm, rather a light shower with a little wind on the side. It wasn't so good for flying once his feathers got wet, but he didn't mind. He liked to hop around in the puddles, and, well, be outside while the scary things were busy keeping dry. He made it a game to try and catch the ripples in his beak, which effectively got him a mouthful of mud which he promptly spat out. He shook his head, flinging the mud off of his face, and then peered up at the house. Everyone was inside, he was certain, having a lazy day. He bounded to the house from the ground, and then with a great leap he managed to perch upon the kitchen window. He tapped on it with his beak, the way he usually did when he wished for someone to open it.

Luna heard the tapping and looked around. No one seemed inclined on moving and she was the closest one. Changing back, she walked over and opened the window, letting Parker inside. She sighed, hoping he could shut the window by himself and transformed back. She walked back over to her steak and started eating again.

With a happy little 'caw!' he leaped inside the kitchen, landed on the back of a chair, and proceeded to shake the water rapidly off of his feathers, spraying the immediate area in cold water. It left him a little puffy looking, but when he switched to his human form, it was hardly noticeable.

"You're missing all the fun!!" he chimed, closing the window Luna had opened for him. She was already on the floor again eating her steak. It was then he realised the kitchen was full of cats, he'd just showered them all in rainwater, and cats really, really didn't like water, for whatever reason. Parker smiled a little sheepishly, but neglected to address this occurrence, and scooted away someplace he wasn't on the receiving end of angry cat-glares. (And cats knew how to glare.) The first he ran into was Theo.

"You too?! I swear, everyone is inside today," he complained, but he then noticed the distracted look on his face. "Something on your mind?" He didn't mean to pry, but everyone was used to how quickly he noticed these things.

Luna was peacefully eating her steak when she was showered by water from Parker. She growled, glaring up at him as he scooted out of the room. She gave a snap of her jaw at him before returning to her picture perfect steak. She honestly didn't like interacting with the others that much. She was always angry at them anyway.

Theo smiled slightly at Parker. There was a good reason that he was inside at the moment. In fact, there was good reason for everyone to be inside at the current time. Maybe Parker didn't see that the weather was horrible, or maybe it was Theo and the others who were overreacting regarding the weather. Either or, it was raining, and wolves didn't like the rain. Or Theowolf didn't, at very least. And for Theo, Theowolf came first.

'Mmmmm,' Theo mused in weak reply to Parker's question. He was debating lying and passing it off as nothing, or telling Parker his thoughts. It didn't really matter, in all honesty, since Theo was under the assumption that everyone considered the questions he had been mulling over frequently too.

'I was just wondering why we are here. In this house,' Theo said, the slight smile fading. 'You know, the things we think about every day. What is the world like beyond the walls? Are there others like us?'

@cor\!

"You're thinking too hard," Emilia piped up. She had been quietly watching the people of the house awaken and feed themselves, or splash everyone like Parker had. She had given an amused smile to that but had neglected to comment. She decided to join the conversation with her comment after Theo had spoken. It was technically her business, right? It was everyone's business, everyone in the house at least. She frowned a bit, and clasped her wrist. Shoot, should I have just barged in like that? No, I shouldn't have, he was speaking of personal matters to Parker, not to me. Emilia sighed. Well, you spoke up anyway, might as well explain yourself.

Emilia walked over and crossed her arms as if hugging herself, eyes downcast. "We are here for a reason, right? I mean, why else would the care-giver keep us here, and why would there be the walls? So... wouldn't it be best not to question it and save ourselves the headache and worry?" Emilia instantly averted her eyes after speaking. She really wasn't a social person, that was likely the most she had spoken all week. Even then her voice was still quiet and raw. It had a certain I-lost-my-voice scratchiness. "Sorry."

Levi paused in eating his breakfast turning his focus to the conversation, he shifts back into a his human form and walks into the kitchen hold the bamboo and still attempting to eat it even though it was unlikely as a human stopping again after Emilia finished speaking. He began to add in his 2 cents in a indifferent tone of voice "Who is to say we can't leave? thank about people fly over the wall but nothing ever happens, do you think anyone is watching us and will stop us from leaving?". This was a risk taking move what if there was a limit to how far they could go and there where something that guarded that border someone could get hurt.

Lucy hears a conversation taking place in the kitchen so she gets up and heads toward the kitchen. Her inner cat curiosity was getting the best of her. She comes in and sits on a stool at the bar, listening, waiting for a moment that she could jump in.
@Zakkol @Offspring @Cuddly Kraken

Sammy turned her head she grew interested into the conversation and the female removed herself from the window and walked over to the kitchen, taking a seat right next to Lucy as the girl seemed to be doing the same thing, observing till she can put some input in. She drew back a chair and plopped herself down into it. Sammy rested her head in the cup of her hands as she observed the others.

@Wolfette157

Theo shot Emilia an odd look when she apologised for joining in on a conversation. It wasn’t like she had done anything wrong, and Theo wasn’t really one to randomly snap at people for intruding on a conversation. That wasn’t really the way he worked, and didn’t wish to act in that way either.

‘Why are you sorry?’ He asked, a small smile forming on his lips. He directed the smile and the question at Emilia, trying to indicate that he wasn’t concerned by her joining in on the conversation. ‘We all have our own opinions on such matters.’

Turning his attention to Levi, Theo’s smile shifted. It wasn’t as…nice as it had been before. ‘I’m fairly certain that there is something there, guarding us,’ Theo mused, thinking. ‘Why not ask Peter or someone who can fly over?’ Theo question, directing the last part more at Parker than anyone else.
