Realistic or Modern Be My Valentine?

Freyja managed a small smile and did a sitting curtsey, "I dont want to stand up" She mouthed back. She had never talked to this guy before and it was odd. She took a drink of her water for a moment and found this across the room conversation interesting.

"I don't want to stand up," he had read her say.

Brown eyes studied the way she took a sip of her drink, then fractionally widened before blinking. He felt warmth rushing up to his neck and cheeks faster than bushfire and slid his gaze elsewhere, back to the front where he saw Sudbrock slumped over his table, head glued to the desk.

I hope I'm not making any discoveries, like oh I don't know, having a water-drinking fetish.

"Don't be disgusting," he sighed aloud.

Jay just watched the girl and guy make a invisible conversation, when she was drinking water, the guy acted in a strange manner. He looked back to him and he simply shook his head to him and looked the other way. He didn't honestly want any conversation with a guy.

Freyja showed a look of curiosity, his face change for a moment then he turned away form her. She sighed quietly and folded her hands on her desk, he must have thought her boring or weird. She was having fun with the conversation but it seemed it was over now. She sipped more of her water and put the cap back on. Maybe sometime after class she could talk to him face to face.

The teacher must live in the other side of the country - the punctuality of his/her (not my right to decide) attendance was astounding. And so, Ethan did what was the smartest thing to do while waiting for a teacher to walk into the classroom.

"Sudbrock," he began carefully, "I appreciate your choice of apparel colour today."

Taking advantage of the few minutes before class started to go and "aquire" some cash for lunch led to Madoxx waltzing into class after it seemed most of the class had already arrived. He didn't bother looking around at his classmates. He zeroed in on the girl sitting near the back beside the large window. Dacia was her name. He'd been looking for her all week. He moved to her and slumped into the seat behind her, the very last row. His feet found the back of her chair and her pushed rapidly a few times to get her attention.

While she waited for the teacher she pulled a book form her bag, one of the few ways she could make herself feel better. Her parents had a large collection of old books and she always had one with her to read. She opened up to the page she left off on and began reading Phantom of the Opera. It was much different than the movie and play but thats what made it interesting.

Claire smiled at Avery. Claire opened up her pencil case and a purple pen rolled out and under Jay's desk. "Hey, Jay, could you get that for me?" I asked

Jay wakes up at the sound of a girl calling his name. He gets his head up from being slammed on the desk. ''Uh..., yeah, sure Claire.'' He got up and grabbed the pen from the ground, then walking to her desk and handing it to her.

A soft clap sounds as Dacia drops her book, the jarring of her chair startling her into letting her hand becoming lax enough for the book to fall from her grip. She sits straight up, her back tense, even her high pony tail is still. She doesn't want to turn around. She knows who is behind her; a week avoiding him was not enough it seemed. He was like a blood hound. Slowly the pale girl turns and meets the grey stare of the boy behind her. He frightens her, he shouldn't. There is nothing he can do to her here, yet still his evident delight in bothering her alarms her. Sweat develops between her fingers and she blurts out the first thing that comes to her mouth. She never did have a brain to mouth filter when startled.

"You're still too old to be in this class...." and he is. 18 to her 16 though she knows there is a reason he was held back.

Avery looked over at Claire and then up at Jay. Returning her gaze back to Claire she spoke up, "Do all guys do as you ask?" She curiously asked her, not many guys would do something that Avery asked them to do, whether it was picking up a pencil or practicing a skit with her, the answer was usually no.

He smiled at the question of Avery, since he actually didn't do what anybody asked, he just did it since it was a very simple task. ''I'd do anything for you, Avery.'' He smirked at her and gave her a wink. He was dying of laughter on the inside, but, she activated his flirty side, so she had to suffer it.

Claire shrugged. "Maybe, all guys do what I want, maybe they don't. But you know now that appearently Jay would do anything for a girl," I say teasingly

Freyja flipped through the book quickly, she was glad she was taking French here at school as well. A lot of the words in her book made much more sense when you knew what they meant. She peeked up from her book and noticed how everyone was talking to one another. It wont be to hard for those girls to get dates.

If he could be a bit more expressive, Ethan would have pouted. His facial muscles were unaccustomed to that however. Not the lip part at least, so he settled with spying on Pretty Blonde and her assumed new bestfriend of the week.

He was ignored (yet again by many of his peers). So much for wanting to praise a fellow classmate's fashion taste in a mundane February da- ... It was then that it dawned on him; Doomsday was around the corner.

Well, for a single-since-birth young man like him anyhow.

Dread swamping his system, he sighed through his nose and bent down to re-tie the knots of his shoes, trying new styles until the teacher's arrival.

"I'd do anything for you, Avery," he heard.

He was quite sure the last time someone on TV said that, the character lost an arm. Have fun with that, he thought wryly. I might need a change in seats. Maybe Gothhard - was that her name? - won't mind a new seat partner.

He was seventeen and single. He'd like to change that before the dance, at least, even if he wasn't part of society's definition of "not weird".

He frowned slightly at the conversation he could over hear not far away. Color his grossed out; flirting had never been an activity he understood. Shaking his head he turned his attention back to the girl before him.

"Maybe I am. Sue me. I didn't hold myself back now did I?" He lays his boot clad foot over her book and drags it under his desk. "You still owe me anyway remember? So don't start opening that big mouth Dacia." He knows it's wrong, yet he takes pleasure in the way she fidgets under his gaze.

Freyja crossed her legs and stretched in her seat. The teacher was pretty late which was weird. She was halfway through her book already when she looked to see what page she was on. People usually made fun of her books. Not popular amongst the teens of this age she guessed. She looked around the room again and stopped on the guy she was speaking to earlier. She didnt know his name and she felt rude for not asking.

Claire turned and notice Ethan. "Wonder if he's staring at me," though Claire. "Anyways, I know we haven't talked a lot but you seem cool. Here's my number if you need anything," Claire said to Jay and handed a blue post-it note.

She winces slightly at the tone of his voice. He would have such a nice voice if he didn't snarl at people so much. She bites her lip, a habit she needs to break, and watches one of her most beloved book be dragged across the tile floor. There will be marks now. Focusing on his large foot she sighs.

Dacia knew it was a bad idea to borrow something from Madoxx. He was known for collecting depts in the most painful and/or humiliating ways. She wouldn't be spared of that even if she was a girl.

"I know...and I'll have it. Just give me some time and I'll pay you back." She turns away and looks around, not a friend in the world is in the room. Maybe she should have been more social, leave it to her mother to finally be right about something.

(Oh god how much more of this torture going to prolong? I've always been the kid who's always making it in the nick of time so I have no idea what people do during homeroom/first period. Asian system and all. Can we just, time-skip if everyone's here already? ; - ;)

He looks and accepts the blue post-it note and smiles. ''Your number? Hehe, you also seem nice. I'll see if i can call you later. I'd like to have her number tough.'' He looks at Avery and looks back to her, smirking. He walks to his seat again, sitting with his feet on top of his desk.

What? I'm not understanding what your saying here. Are you saying that the teacher should some in :P

Avery giggled to herself as Jay told her he would do anything for her then winked at her. Guys could be so weird sometimes. "Is that so?" Avery could be an awkward person but, she didn't care, it's who she was although having awkward situations left and right weren't very okay to her. She then turned to Claire who had just handed Jay her number, Avery might have felt a bit jealous. Claire had a way with people, that's just how she is though, so she accepted that you should be yourself, not try and be like others. Unless you're on stage and supposed to be someone else, that's different though.

Claire laughed sweetly. "Yeah, maybe you should give him your phone number," she teased Avery. Claire laughed and sat down.
