☾⁺ Balteum Ex Caelum ⁺☾
Woven between the rifts of our reality lies the Great Wheel of Cosmology, a series of alternating spatial and transitive planes, these planes include the Inner, Ethereal, Material, Astral, Outer Planes, and the Far Realm. The Prime Material plane is home to human civilisation, a race of people who have been shielded from the angelic forces of the Celestial plane and the demonic inhabitants that run rampant in the Abyss. Though, it is not uncommon for the Great Wheel to experience fault, a “slip up” within its workings that could mean, and has meant that one could experience a minor demonic invasion in your local mall, the barrier between realities disappearing as the planes pass through one another; but humanity never seems to remember.
Twelve zodiacs, born in the Celestial plane found their home in our night sky at the dawn of the Babylonian era. The zodiacs, commonly referred to as “Celestials” are the constellations Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius and Pisces, they have given themselves the responsibility of protecting the Material plane from these abnormalities in their reality; fighting demons and detaining aberrations who have escaped their plane of existence. Though, in spite of their cosmic abilities, the twelve celestials gift twelve humans their powers every century, training them and entrusting them to keep their home safe whilst the celestials travel further through the Great Wheel.
The date is February nineteenth, 2019 and the chosen of Pisces has just celebrated their eighteenth birthday. Once the youngest of the chosen had turned eighteen, the corresponding Celestial of each chosen visited them, offering them an ultimatum; join them, and explore the universe as a hero as the memory of you fades from those who knew you, or don’t, and forget what you had seen. The option was yours, and for whatever reason you chose the first, leaving your life behind to be trained in the art of pyromancy, aeromancy, terramancy, hydromancy (each specialising in your celestial/zodiac’s element) and further mage work to keep humanity safe.

☾⁺ Basics ⁺☾
⁺☾ This RP will center around the training of the chosen, aka. the apprentices of the celestials. They will be trained in the field to defend themselves against the likes of Basilisks, Banshees, Gargoyles and Ghouls so on and so forth. They will be primarily taught how to manipulate their zodiacs element, however will be taught further mage work and special talents e.g. Gemini has the ability to duplicate oneself, and Sagittarius never misses a ranged shot.
⁺☾ Balteum Ex Caelum is latin for "Belt of the Heavens" and refers to the group as a whole. It is also the name of the building which they call home, a mansion in Venice, Italy. The apprentices will live there for the duration of their training but are not secluded from the outside world. They are welcome to leave during their free time but are not allowed to speak of this with anyone on the Material plane.
