The best part will be getting to see the effects of this energy fluid effecting the Rival character over the course of the story, since we'll be introduced to them when the effects are at a minimum. Whether folks win or lose against them, the fact that they're steadily growing more powerful due to the substance will make fights with them bigger and bigger spectacles.

It also gets to emphasize the power of the main baddie, who's able to manipulate them either through charm, coercion, or trickery. Taking advantage of the rival character and turning them into a frenzied powerhouse will indirectly inform the readers on just how dangerous this big bad is.

I can't really think too much farther than that without cobbling together more plots, but hopefully I got the idea across.

Ohon I'm smelling what you're selling though. For what I had in mind they could definitely be puppeted or the big bad, just whatever works for what other people had in mind.

Ah yes, I remember my first hour....

Basically, to jump in you need to submit a character sheet for the character you want to use. Up above is a sort've index for the pages on this particular RP, one will lead to a list of character sheets, where you can submit your own. Just follow the guidelines, maybe look to the other ones for inspiration if you need it, then post it. Once its approved by our GM, you can start posting.

Generally speaking though, I'd like to get through the first day before setting up any big plots just yet.

The readers need time to get to know the characters, setting, and even a few themes that might run throughout the story. Sure we could hint to these villains or future events, but I'm not sure we shoudl be too overt until we've finished with the foundation.

Just by name, not explaining their quirks: I have Willow, King Taijitu, Cryonic, Autopsy, and Hardware. Of course this is just establishing ideas, we do still need to establish the theme. We really haven't spent all that much time with our characters yet.

I don't think it hurts to have a vague idea of where everything is heading. It's a nice feeling to be able to incorporate little hints in your writing about the enemies we'll be facing in the future. Foreshadowing is powerful. It's fun~~ we're not saying anything concrete yet

I've actually found in many BNHA rps that people get waaaaaaaaaayyyy into thinking about villains and villain plots.

Knew this one gm who had to set up a separate character page just for all the villains and side characters they'd started making.

Well, to be fair: all the character's I've talked about so far have been characters I've made for this comic book universe I wanted to make called Voltage Comics. Nikkolaüs was supposed to be the main character by the hero name of Tesla. I've also hinted to characters, like Flügel. While she probably won't be making an appearance, her wings have already (kind of).

Also, that is a good point, I would like to fight villains, as it would be a powerful catalyst for our characters to be motivated to fix their faults; however, let's try to keep it low scale. Give our characters the moderately peaceful time to work through their shidd without interruption.

Well like I said, we're not saying anything concrete. I've had the opposite problem of people not planning enough and the RP died because we were going on without any direction. I'm very grateful I have so many of ya'll actively thinking about and bettering the RP. It's why I'm so gushy gooey about it I still want this to be slice of life above all else. Lets not forget that~~
