Odin is a galaxy buster, Thanos is slightly below Odin, so technically, Thanos is more of a solar system buster, with no feats (outside of IG) of him busting ANYTHING near a universe.


IG Thanos is a Universe Buster.

Thanos has never, will never and can never, beat Galactus.


Galactus >>> Odin > Thanos.


Thanos is incredibly smart, but unless he has years of prep, he could never beat Galactus.

I've seen the battle where Galactus ends up half naked, and that was a victory for Thanos. But Thanos had a lot of time to prepare, like I said, with prep he could, and has won. Without it ? Not a chance.


 
Not to mention that fight was not between Thanos and Galactus, but more, Thanos, tricking Galactus into battling two (one?) higher powered beings, and then claiming victory. Sure, it counts, he tricked the Devourer. But it wasn't a fight between just them.

yeah you found it . i count it as a victory because galactus in this apparently is not as smart as thanos in this when i think galactus should be the smarter one.
