Fandom Avatar The Last Airbender: Black Flames

Ryan smiled at Anana, "Thank you". His head tilted when he heard firebending. He's never seen any other kind of bending except for firebending, but to see someone else do it sounded pretty cool. Ryan knew he could not stay long due to his quest, "Do you happen to know where I can get tea?...ah it's actually not for me". After his question he saw Nanami bury her head in her hands. He's never seen the action before and didn't know what to make of it.

Aram began to get frustrated that she couldn't attack her master. She quickly began to recklessly earth bend through the earth kingdom training ground. "Aram! Your going to ruin the training field again. You have to control yourself." She growled slightly. "Im trying!" She yelled out before bending a rock through a build in the distance.

"Uh... no. I don't. Why don't you two come back with me. Cupun can help - both of you. He's good at that kind of thing." Anana leads the pair back through the villiage to the tavern, where Cupun had managed to secure two rooms.

He looks dumbfounded when he sees his twin with the princess of their home. "What are you doing with her?" He whispers to his sister, after standing and bowing. Anana explains the situation. "Of course you'll be staying with us. We can get you a fake name and everything." Cupun says, smiling. "As for tea, I think there's a vendor two shops down to the left of here."

"Thank you" Ryan nodded at Cupun and Anana. "Ah, well it was nice knowing you all. I need to go now. My uncle is expecting me back soon" He said now with only the tea in his mind while the whole other firebending thing was pushed back. Ryan began to walk out then stopped to turn back to them. The teen smiled, "Princess, Anana, and Cupun" he nodded at each of them then stepped out.

Nanami waved at him, looking back at him. She smiled and looked at Anana. "Thanks for the hospitality. I don't know how long I can stay though." She said.

Nanami smiled after him. "Yeah, but more cute than odd." She said. She shook her head and looked at Cupun. "Hmm, the name Akira sounds nice." She said.

Ryan quickly went to the tea place and bought some tea...well the ingredients that made it. He knew he had to make the tea when he reached the Temple because it would be difficult to carry hot tea all the way back while rowing at the same time. The teen held the bag of ingredients in his right hand then saw a sign on a board, "New Firelord?" He would tell his uncle the news to show him that he learned many things that day. Ryan hopped into the boat and untied the rope. His quick rowing resumed and before he knew it, he hit the dock at the Eastern Air Temple. Ryan got out of the boat and tied the rope to the post again. "This walk..." He said peering up to the sky where the Easter Air Temple sat. Ryan heard a piece of paper flap in the wind. "Step on the wood, hold on rope, then cut it. HOLD IT TIGHT!" The paper read. Ryan held the rope then cut it with a near by rock. The rope quickly brought him up to the Eastern Air Temple with the wooden platform under him. His uncle sat there smiling at Ryan, "I take it you had some fun?" Ryan walked over to the table and got the tea ready, "It was okay. People were...friendly". The uncle kept his smile, "Learn anything?" The teen finished getting the tea ready and brought over to his uncle, "A lot actually" He poured the tea into his uncle's cup and his uncle quickly took a sip from it. Ryan decided to bring up the news, "Did you know that there is a new Firelord?" The uncle loudly put the tea on the table and had a furious expression on his face, "Really? That man..." The uncle recalled how it was he who ordered Ryan's parents to be killed. "What?" Ryan asked. The uncle shook his head, "You need to go now". Ryan gave a confused look then smiled a little, "Second quest?" A silence sounded for about a minute as the uncle thought and said, "Put it that way".

Nanami, or should I say Akira bowed in respect to them. "I cannot thank you enough for this." She said.

"Well what do I have to do?" Ryan questioned. The uncle drank some tea and the younger one refilled it for him. The uncle was in deep thought trying to debate whether he should tell Ryan the truth or not. How would it sound? Hey Ryan you are actually a fire prince and are supposed to be the Firelord RIGHT NOW! Nah that didn't sound too well. It didn't even sound well! The uncle eyed Ryan. The teen was eighteen years of age. He would be the youngest king ever! Ryan just looked at his uncle, "Uncle Jao, is the tea that good?" The teen smiled as he poured his uncle another cup. Jao looked surprised as he found out that he had been drinking while thinking. Maybe he would tell the boy another time. He just had to give him a quest that would let him be on his way back to his rightful throne. "Oh I met three people earlier" Ryan said and his uncle's eyes widened due to an idea he had just formed thanks to his nephew's words, "And? Tell me more". Ryan continued, "One was..." He paused then remembered what the princess asked of him. Ryan resumed, "One was a firebender, one a waterbender, and the other...I don't really know what she was". Jao tilted his head, "You didn't tell anyone where you came from or what you are did you? Or what you bend?" Jao had hidden the actual cause of the death of Ryan's parents and his place on the throne, but was able to tell the teen that he was a mixture of a neutral woman and a firebender. "No I didn't" Ryan responded. "Don't EVER. And if you hear any myths regarding a missing fire prince around my time, don't listen to them. They are myths" Jao said. Ryan smiled, "Were you the "missing prince"?" The teen laughed. "Boy, just don't listen. Anyway, the quest is to...travel the lands and help others!" Jao announced. Ryan tilted his head, "Isn't that a little vague?" The uncle interrupted, "Just do it...Now". Ryan gave a surprised look, "NOW?!" Jao got up and brought Ryan to the edge of the Temple, "Child, how many times do I have to repeat myself...NOW!" As the uncle yelled "now", he pushed his nephew off the side of the Temple and went back to his seat to calmly sip his tea.

Ryan yelled, "Whoa! Flame up!" His body turned into flames similar to the Human Torch. Jao had done that to Ryan many times before and Ryan had flamed up the same way ever since. The uncle knew it was a unique skill that only the teen could perform. It was first performed when Ryan got mad over...his toy. Luckily since then Jao had been able to help Ryan control his anger. The teen looked at his uncle sip tea while waving, and flew straight back to Ba Sing Se crashing into the ocean.

Nanami hear a loud crash and she walked over to the edge of the sea. She saw Ryan floating in the sea and waved to him, tugging her hood farther up so people wouldn't see her face.

Ryan held his breath as the impact of his fall brought him a bit deep into the ocean. He swam back up and took a deep breath then rubbed his eyes. Nanami stood there waving at him. He had never landed anywhere else other than the ocean area near the Eastern Air Temple. Was the crash really that loud? Ryan scanned the area looking for a clothes line. His eyes lit up as he found one and dove under water to swim to shore. He reached the shore but stayed in the water. The clothes line was quite a distance from him. Heck no! He would not go running around to it like this!

Nanami looked over at him and saw him swimming towards a clothes line. She frowned a bit and walked over to him. "Hey." She said.

Ryan looked at Nanami, "Hello". He just stayed there. Was she going to ask him something or...? Maybe she could get some clothes for him. It was probably not a princess's desire to steal off peasant clothes from a clothes line though.

"Because I need clothes..." Ryan said then looked around, "Or at least something to dry off with". He disliked the situation he was in. The teen was stuck in the water with no clothing, and casually conversing with a princess at the same time! Ryan thought for a moment, "A blanket would be fine". At least they didn't have to steal.

Nanami lit up like a Christmas tree. "Uh, I will find something." she said. She looked around and found a large blanket and some short. "Well, this is what I got." She said, trying not to look down in the water.

Ryan nodded, "Thank you". He quickly got the blanket then rapidly tied it around his waist as he exited the water. Looking around he asked, "So...how are the others? Are they still around?" Ryan was hoping he could tag along with them since he had no where else to go. There was a feeling that if we went back, then his uncle would repeat the whole push off the temple process again.

"Good." Nanami said, trying to look up versus down. "Now we should probably go find you something to wear, other than a blanket." She said, a faint blush gracing her face as she looked at him.

Ryan noticed Nanami blush, "What?" He looked at himself. The guy looked normal...blanket around his waist. It looked like he had just swam in the ocean for a while. "If you're too embarrassed to walk around with me then you can just say it". Ryan walked into the place where he had seen the other firebender and his sister, "Hello? Are you guys still here?" It seemed to him that Anana was in charge of the whole "travel the world" journey.

Kai was still working the fruit stand, how fun must it have been to be a worker of a fruit stand...it was not fun at all. Kai was practically sleeping when the noise occurred, he thought it was just something blowing up or whatever, he decided it was best not to go look, it was for the better, he had a couple customers, not much had been happening, all he could think about was how weird this all was, why was no one questioning who he was, but deep down he was happy, who cared. Kai sighed and slumped back in the chair next to a couple of other vendor shops, some for tea others for weapons some for clothes, they sold everything where he was. Kai sat back and twirled around a couple of rocks in his hands.

Ryan put a hand through his hair when he couldn't find them. He had to take care of it later. The teen walked back outside then looked at the princess, "Where is that clothes place?..." He looked downward, "I mean, you don't have to go with me if you're going to get all embarrassed. You can just tell me the place and I'll go alone. I'm fine with that" Ryan said shifting his gaze back to her face. Blushing was an expression that Ryan was slightly familiar with. He connected that facial expression to the thought of being embarrassed since that was the only time he saw that expression back at the temple.

Nanami shook her head. "I would be far less conspicuous with someone at my side. Plus, it's the least I can do for dragging you into this running away from home deal." She said, walking towards the clothes shop.

Ryan got confused for a moment. Nanami didn't drag him into the whole running away thing. She literally DRAGGED him! The teen nodded and followed her.
