Ba Sing Se: a Recruiter was at a tavern in the city looking for People to help protect his shipment of items to deliver to the Northern water village but nobody came up to join which made him sad

The soldiers looked around and the captain of the ship came out along with his right hand man. One of them announced, "All firebenders approach us. It would be better if you did before we personally hunt you down. Don't try lying to us!" They started walking around.


Ryan heard them then looked at Nanami, "How would they know whose a firebender? By their clothes?" As he asked the question, a plan started to form in his mind.

 

[IceQueen]

"Yeah, probably, but why don't we go to that tavern. It's better than being out in the open." She said, dragging him inside.

 

[RyanJXavier]

What would th-? Ryan's thoughts were cut off when he saw a firebender approach the officers. The officers asked for his name, parents, and bending history (basically if both parents were firenation or not). The captain looked around, "Just marking down a roster, no need to fear".

 

[IceQueen]

Nanami darted inside and looked around. There was almost no one inside, but she would not risk taking off her hood.

 

[RyanJXavier]

This girl keeps dragging me Ryan thought glancing at Nanami, "Hm not as aggressive as I heard they were". The Firenation kept searching around the area.

 

[Archdemon]

The recruiter was sitting at a table with a sheet of paper waiting for somebody to help protect his shipment

 

[IceQueen]

"Trust me, if they found me, guess where we would be going." Nanami said, looking around. "We need a fast way out of here."

 

[RyanJXavier]

"They're just looking for firebe-" Ryan paused when he noticed someone sitting down at a table. "Hello, do you know why the Firenation is marking down a roster?"

 

[LyraDark]

"Well, seems like we meet again" both of Evan and Nami said as they saw the two enter the tavern. The siblings suddently seemed to get along very well.

 

[RyanJXavier]

Ryan nodded at the siblings. Didn't the Firenation soldiers usually raid places rather than mark a roster? He's never heard of any region mark down a roster. Or was that a "minor" detail that most of the journals left out. "Just a roster check" Ryan heard one of the villagers say as he/she passed the tavern.

 

[Archdemon]

The man looked up "They do roster check usually..." He thought for a moment "Hey I've got a proposition for you! I'll pay you big money if you help escort a shipment to the Northern Water Village!" He asked Ryan.

 

[IceQueen]

Nanami froze at the Northern Water Village part. "Best chance we got." She said, signing her fake name on the sheet.

 

[RyanJXavier]

"But no one ever does that outside of their territory" Another stranger said. "Now that you mention it, it is truly bizarre...especially since it's the Firenation" The previous stranger replied.


Ryan looked at the guy and lighted up when he heard the words "help" (his uncle's quest) and "shipment" (his plan to not go through the roster thing). The teen quickly nodded then signed his name. Ryan knew that if he underwent the roster thing, then he would have to explain the truth...which his uncle said he had to hide.

 

[Archdemon]

The man lighten up "Okay then welcome aboard! Now anyone else wish to join?" He asked around.

A soldier went up to Cupun whose Firenation attire was obvious. He saw him standing next to his twin sister, "The fire water twins Cupun and Anana?" The man was getting ready to check them on the roster. He just waited for them to confirm their identities. @giraffesarebetter

 

[LyraDark]

Nami and Evan looked at each other and nodded. They went to sign the sheet, well Nami wrote both of their names since Evan was having trouble writing. "That's done" she said.

 

[Archdemon]

The Recruitment guy was now smiling <------- ((that's him smiling)) and he said "Okay anyone else?"

(Hey, good timing on my part xD )


Cupun nods. "That would be us." Anana says. "Why do you want to know?" Anana was never very fond of the Firenation, particularly when they know her name.

"Just checking the roster.." One of the soldiers responded. Another soldier came back from the other side of Ba Sing Se then shook his head at the captain. The captain called the officer next to the twins, "Did you find the person?" The officer shook his head as well. "Keep searching!" The captain commanded and the officers dispersed again.

"Who are you searching for?" Cupun asks one of the officers, following them. Anana hangs back, looking over the recruitment. "What's this for then?" She asks the recruitment guy.

 

[Archdemon]

The recruitment guy looked at Anana "This is a recruitment for people who will help protect my shipment to The northern Water village! I promise you'll get paid a lot of money!" He said

 

[RyanJXavier]

The officer looked at the captain. The captain responded, "No one in particular. We aren't searching for anyone. I just got used to saying that". They walked away from Cupun and into a shop.

Anana nods. "Lots of money. I like that." She signs her name, as well as her brother's. "We'll be there!"


Cupun frowns. They were lying, and he knew it. Now to find out just who it was they were lying about.
