TheFluffiestCat TheFluffiestCat RoninN7 RoninN7 I will start with your tags here and let you know where it's all at šŸ˜Ž Meanwhile I will get a basic CS thread up and link it, the CS skeleton will come once it's shared on how exactly we or Fluffiest would like it. But least a thread for now will be available (:

P.S. Interest check is tagged already

Okay then why dont we start talking about a basic plot outline? If we have all four elements present from the start, there needs to be a reason for that.

Given we go with the "Until the fire nation attacked" part, itĀ“d be good to find a reason why a groupf of all four elements would be running around and possibly running into the avatar...

Also, the way i understood it, none of you two wanted to be the avatar?

Sounds like a plan Fluffiest. The difficult part of the plot would be tackling that detail right there. My guy is kinda of a wanderer for personal reasons or will be, gotta find which tribe best suits him as well, but he is a wandering Water bender for the time being for information that could help.

But as for me.... Sometimes I try the lead role with a OC in the spotlight of the plot. But very rare for me, I usually tend to play the companion/support or some kind of role like that and tell things from that perspective. So I'm good not taking the avatar role.

I'm good not being the avatar.
As for the plot, we could make it so that the traveling group of benders each has their own reason to be traveling. I think if we could first work out exactly the setting we're in, it'd be easier to figure out each characters' motivations and goals. The Fire Nation's attack would be a good point of reference to start with. How early on in the attack would you want this RP to take place? The very beginning? After some key events have already happened?

Hm, iĀ“d say already a little into the attack. I like the general plot of "The situation seems very lost, the world needs the avatar more than ever, but the mood turns against him". Which makes it a tad harder for me to fit my fire bender in, but thatĀ“ll work out somehow.

Important would be, if they know that the avatar is the avatar. Also itĀ“d be good to know what kind of bender the avatar naturally is. I think without that key figure of our plot present, itĀ“ll be hard to discuss a lot.

So this is before the Air Nomads were wiped out and before the conquering of the Earth Kingdom and whatnot, the beginning of the Fire Nation's assault on the world around them. Perhaps we could start after plans had been laid out to initiate a massive conquering of one of the neighboring nations to create some tension and give the group something to achieve, as well as give more reason for the avatar to fulfill their destiny. Since this is entirely AU, then I'd say the avatar should probably be of the Water Tribes since that would put the avatar a relatively safe distance away from the Fire Lord and allow them to develop their bending a little before the first confrontation.

Nice ideas, i like the sound of that. A lot actually. But that means either my character, the fire bender, has really travelled a lot, or we dont start in the water tribes, right?

Maybe the avatar was with his water bending master, traveling to find other bending masters, and along the way, our characters ran into them. As for the first major plot point, it could be the Fire Nation's assault on either of the Water Tribes, for which our gang has to make their way there to deal with it.

Hm yes that works pretty well! Maybe the fire and earth bender know each other, travelled together... My fire bender could have fled the nation and helped or have been helped by the earth bender, becoming companions from there. And they end up working with the avatar for a short while, that then turns into a long while

Hmm, alright I'm caught up and really liking the ideas so far. The Avatar and Water bender meet in the tribes, then leave to get better training. Where they run into the fire and earth benders and decide to stick together for a bit, all the while the Fire nation is becoming more aggressive with their campaign to conquer. Correct?

Thats generally the idea we had so far, yeah. ^^

I really like it! And it would make sense for the airbender to more or less 'drop in' because of them being on a nomadic journey or something.

So, maybe this has already been discussed but, I think we should be talking about the differences this world has to the timeline of the source material. For example, the avatar being born into the water tribe changes things dramatically. We're potentially dealing with the complete genocide of the water tribe Instead of the air nomads. I think this is the type of world building we need to do before we settle on character motivations. What does the world look like.

Well we had the idea that the first plot arch would be the fire nation attacking the water tribe. So i believe that goes along with your point very well. What if, instead of doing it ahead of time, the Fire nation attacked the water tribes now, before the avatar is fully trained, to get rid of that threat preventively. Our avatar might not even know they are the avatar, maybe their bending trainer, our water bender, knows but kept it a secret, so that they can focus on learning water bending fully first, before then opening the world of avatarism to him.

Maybe the attack of the fire nation is what makes our avatar find out who they are, makes the fire nation realize they are a tad late, but now have them focus on executing their invasion plans on water, earth and air asap, while also dealing with the avatar.
