I was not a fan of the first connection and I do not think either of the characters really fit it. I put Bull Bear there for now.

All his history questions were answered and I put them on the backstory tab originally, I moved them back up to the first profile tab.

thats the issue my man, he has to put someone in the connections given by his playbook, they cant be empty.
which will be hard since you have a non bending sis, and the family that raised Hayase is a non bending one.
so no one really fits in that connection.

I got mine done, also we could spin by saying Gauneng hasn’t really heard of the Emerald Rangers and doesn’t think much of them compared to main EK army his sis is in

thats honestly the best way to have both of your connections fit in. Since Bull doesn't know emerald rangers he doesn't know if what taka says is real, so he doesn't need to respect his accomplishments. although he can later learn they are real and that will be cleared up

Ok let's work on those two questions then since they are group questions.
My first pick for the first question is Sabotaging the fire nation supply lines, albeit they might not have been the main ones, but less stuff the enemy has access too the better for the earth kingdom, we could probably add guerrilla warfare to that.

For the second one i don't actually have an idea, since what would be something all three of us or at least two of us would want? [since i know Hayase could not want that but would accept if those two wanted it.]

So its a question on how our group got together and what they did to get Long Feng's attention.

Well, in order for Long Feng to be effective he has to have lines of communication so he can maintain his control. So maybe our group came together saving one of his couriers from a Fire Nation Ambush.

• Maybe Hayase knew the courier and decided to accompany them?
• It is possible that Duanmu was tracking the ambushers on a long range reconnaissance patrol for the Emerald Rangers.
• Maybe the courier was part of Guoneng sister's unit and he received word from his sister that one of her people may be in trouble and he went to try and warn them of the trouble.

Anyway, our group meets there fights off the Fire Nation, and then proceeds to accompany the courier to one of Long Feng's agents who then reports their activities up to the boss and he makes an offer to them.

What did Long Feng offer you in exchange for delivering Onomu and the war plans to Ba Sing Se?

I am not sure of this yet...what could he offer to this group that would be worthwhile for all three members?

Maybe relief on the front for Guoneng's sister unit?

I mean money is good but we can earn money after selling stuff we stole from the fire nation.
but if we can go with individual boons then it would be easier for us.

For Hayase it could be something as simple as getting his village a tax evasion thingy [like for some amount of time they don't have to pay tax], since the village has a lot of trouble with whatever their source of money is lately.

I think the adventure expects the group to go through the “Set up the inciting incident exercise” on page 111 of the core book to determine how the group got together.

Anyway I think we are pretty close in determining the meeting anyway. I know Duanmu would take part in this mission more to figure out what Long Feng is up to with this plot.

I'd go for that. If Omashu hasnt fallen yet Guananag would want Long Feng to send a few Ba Sing Se troops to defend fleeing refugees. If it has he'd want Long Feng to help covertly evacute people out of Omashu and to Ba Sing Se

Hey all. Apologies for not being around much this week. Work's been pretty hectic.

In terms of the inciting incident, considering I'm running a premade adventure here, I'd be happy to skip over that whole process unless any of you object. We can just have it so that, for whatever reason, you all trust each other enough to get to Ba Sing Se without any drama.
