1567463295966.png Thomas had to be woken up by Locoma due to him staying up too late working on something for her... thankfully she didn't notice. She gave him something akin to Coffee that had him hyper... well more hyper than normal.
He was somewhat disappointed at not being the manager but he soon perked up again at the mention of inventory specialist. "I'LL DO IT!!!" He jumped up, his face practically glowing with excitement.
His attention bouncing everywhere as he kept making things.... he already had a pocket full of clockwork creatures.
"Clothes? I don't know anything about making those... I can make robots and stuff though! Well anything clockwork really! OHHH!!! I can make some security robots too!" Declares with passionate hyper glee. He stands up presenting the clockwork robots which began hopping, crawling, and moving in various manners around the table. "See!"
(Anyone who has seen him before knows he's hyper, but not this hyper)

Vulmar Lulana
interactions: Mook-LandStrider Mook-LandStrider Jet Jet EldridSmith EldridSmith ManofManyRoles ManofManyRoles Deathkitten Deathkitten
Vulmar found the teacher interesting while they were clearly a humun, yet they carried themselves with a different air to the other ones... even the way he dressed was different they didn’t seem to be as worried about complete covering themselves as the other people, although the bodysuit... damn did it make the humun look good like seriously Vulmar was considering trying the teachers clothing style. Overall the teacher was probably the closest thing to an Arachne Vulmar would be seeing around here.

The concept of running and working in a shop was incredibly daunting for him, however, considering the scale of the place well at least what was implied was a lot bigger than anything else back home.. even then there wasn’t exactly any stores. He just waited a while just to listen in all, a male human apparently called jade was choices as the "store manager" whatever that meant. they seemed to give vulmar a weird look... was it the multiple arms? probably? even jade's speech was... well it was intimidating simply because vulmar didn't really understand what they were saying at all. then a human girl spoke up we at least tried to she seemed kinda shy? at least they made more sense soo? clothing... and books... yeah... vulmar could possible do clothing he'd done some sowing. well, he'd done a bit of everything back home, it was just something young nobles did you had to know how things ran before you ran things.

another humun spoke up after the girl finished, she (xelon) did make a good point, what about those sliver tokens? the teacher did say it was important, maybe sovereigns would work? back home the people that visited the villages often liked to trade in bits of metalwork.. mostly the artistic verity so maybe that would work? another person took the role of customer representatives. that didn't bother vulmar he had no idea how to deal with humans and humuns. or at least what they liked, that well. he was about to speak up but was instead startled by another person suddenly producing form there pocket a verity of strange moving metallic creatures, causing vulmar to back up into a wall. apprehensive about the strange devices eyeing them with suspicion. "u..umm... well.. ok.. those are all good ideas... I think I could help with the... with the cloths.. but umm.. I don't know too much sowing.. and well I only really know how to do clothes like this" he said somewhat shakily as he was still eyeing the strange crawling metal things as one of his limbs gestured toward the top he was wearing to give a example of what he knew of making "soo I'm not sure what people would like that.. sort of thing... but I could do the... carvings on the tokens haven't worked with silver... but I'm sure it won't be that hard to put some patterns in it..." while he did have his main set of arms crossed one of his other arms was scratching his cheek.. as his cheeks were going somewhat red, he was at first feeling just a little unsure of what he had suggested by now he was feeling much worse and vulmar really didn't understand why, and well those moving metal things were putting him on edge. "ooor I could just to security... I'm sure a guy like me would at least ward off any thieves" he finished up looking around at everyone, maybe one of his ideas would be good?

confusingly the humun that had produced the small swarm of moving metal bit reacted instantly to his last comment "Ehhh?! You're a guy?!" vulmar stared at them giving them a look of are you serious? all sets of his arms crossed "yeah if course I'm a guy? isn't it obvious? what do you think I look like then?" vulmar responded dead seriously. despite the fact, vumlar had some very... prominent feminine features...

María and Nikea... the fuck. Why did she have so few students right now? Where the hell were the rest of them? Diana looked infuriated but sighed as the bells rang and eyed the two students for a moment longer. "So it's just you two, for now, I guess. Should be fun... it does mean more one on one time, so I guess there's that. Weak ass other students wouldn't be able to handle this shit anyway," she said with a huff, clearly personally irate about the lack of numbers in her class. All the same, though, she sighed again, louder this time.

"Right. Anyway, my name's Diana. You two should be María and Nikea, yeah? Welcome to Dux, the Leadership Program. Here we're gonna set you guys up to be good politicians. There's gonna be a lot of talk about current events, how they pertain to politics, and then a whole assload of psychology to go along with it. Hopefully, we get more people into this as time goes on, but we'll see. We can start with your parent countries. NHRE and JUE, yeah? Both countries are fairly stable. The JUE and Terra Augurium are closely knit together and trade heavily with one another. Likewise, they share an intense love for magic. The NHRE, on the other hand, isn't so fond of the school and a lot of that has to do with Phonecia. They shared borders with the nation before its demise. They still trade, though it is limited. Their views on magic are nearly as anti-magic as Terra Austri, believing it should only be used for extremely important reasons."

"We can talk about Phonecia first and foremost. That short war was one of the most influential things in today's politics, so it's a fitting spot to begin," she said, opening a drawer and producing a small remote. When she clicked it, a screen appeared beside her in midair. "This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the creation of the Great Phonecian Crater, an event which sparked massive controversy. Before this happened, however," she explained, screen changing to match the information, "Terra Augurium and Phonecia had a short cold war. Two years before the event, this cold war escalated, and the nation refused all trade with Terra Augurium and refused to allow its people to become students. Augurium saw this as an affront to their efforts toward global freedom and took action. Unfortunately, many civilians were caught in the ensuing conflict."

"Now, why do you two think Augurium would choose such a seemingly dramatic political move?"

~María de los Ángeles~
Thursday, the 5th of October, Year 500
08:50 - Dux Class

Maria.jpg María did her best not to make a face at the language. Sure, it wasn't like she hadn't heard it before, but at a school? Seriously? It didn't matter much though in the grand scheme of things as long as she learnt something though. The soldier wasn't disappointed as Diana immediately jumped into her lesson. Sitting with her notebook already open to a blank page, the brunette clicked her pen and began furiously writing. She didn't want to miss a single word. The Phonecia Crater had been a looming shadow over the Empire and it's politics. Her own family lived near it and made it a point to bring their children to the crater to cement into their heads what Augurium is capable of. And how dangerous they are. As bitter as she was over Augurium's actions, she could at least appreciate how impartial her teacher was being so far. She's even asking for our own opinions. María's lips thinned out into a line as she quickly debated whether or not she should be honest. If they locked me up for treason just because I was honest then it'd mean war with the Empire; they wouldn't risk that. Especially with all of the backlash they would get from it. Still, she could always be overestimating how reasonable Augurium was. Glancing at the only other student in the class, she inwardly groaned as she realized that she was going to have to be the first person to speak. Her pen tapped against her desk as she mulled it over a little more before raising her hand. "To set an example. Out of all of the countries, Phonecia was the smallest by far so it was the smartest choice to eliminate. Not like Terra Austri which is much larger. After Phonecia's destruction, Augurium was acknowledged as a global superpower and those that were openly hostile against Augurium became much more cooperative and quiet." The fact that she was even here was proof enough. Had Phonecia never been wiped off of the map she doubted that her superiors would have ever let her study here.

Kira took great pleasure in her victory having obtained first place and got the team she wanted, although she was still pissed with Ahmar who decided to shoot a ball of fire at her. She still felt the heat of it and it hurt like hell, she was pretty sure that wind blasting him up into the air and back to the ground was him getting off too easy, she was gonna give him hell for until she felt satisfied. It would be way easier since she was now his leader, she was defiantly gonna have fun messing with him although his twin brother will be given at least a little bit more mercy as a useful sorta grunt for her. Her brother Arik was key to helping her win the race overall, boosting her up high into the air so that she could use her wind powers and wings to glide and dive to the finish line. With her victory settled and the other set of twins under her thumb and her already knowing what roles who was gonna play, she didn't just choose the other twins just to get back at Ahmar after all but also for a stratigic reason. Arik as her Tactician and the other twins as her pair of Muscles and her as the group leader, those roles should do fine for now, although she did respect the fact that the other set of twins were also willing to fight dirty to win was also a key decision when it came to nabbing them for her team. Her arms were still red from the heat of the fire that Ahmar threw at her but she marched up towards Ahmar non the less passing by Arik and only saying to him "Arik, go make friends." before stopping in front him giving him a once over. He indeed looked exactly like her fellow roommate Aswad although the way he carried himself was the main difference between them, she smirked at Ahmar before speaking to him "Ya know, im a really going to enjoy having my fun with you, but you're lucky that i find you useful to say the least. Maybe if you apologized or just beg for my forgiveness i may forgive you, for throwing that little fireball at my face, after all id say your a bit lucky i was able to block it with my arms in time or else id be in a way worse mood." Kira looked smuggly at him she clearly wanted to see his reaction to see what sorta person she was dealing with although she would be very surprised if he actully did apologize. She had her fan ready just in case he planned to attack and stood a few feet in front of him.

Arik Kawin
Interactions: Leanan Aelia Aeldyne Aelia Aeldyne
Arik looked over to Kira happy that she had won, they helped boost them and wind pushed the Leanan girl back in order to make her hit the ground and give Kira the time she needed to obtain victory. When Kira marched past them and told them to go make friends, he knew what she meant and that also meant that she was a bit agitated to say the least. He nodded at Kira before going on over to the 2nd place winner putting on their charming smile so that they could talk to them real quick while Kira dealt with the other set of twins. Arik looked over at the smaller girl as he would assume, although he was only a bit taller than them to say the least. They then went on to kindly introduced themselves in the usual sorta way they used in order to sway new people to their side back home "Hiya, my names Arik, Arik Kawin no hard feelings about before it wasn't personal or anything, i'd be more than happy to treat you to dinner later if you took offense." Their voice was filled with cheerfulness with the added bonus of trying to sound innocent and sincere , the main reason they offered is cause they didn't need a team leader as a enemy so soon and figured that it would be best to do as Kira said and play nice until they had more info on the sorta activities their instructor was gonna give them. They were already self taught by their family and was good at masking their true intentions although Kira was better, still a smile on the front and a knife behind your back was the way they were planned to deal with things to say the least.

Chepi.png Chepi wiped the sweat off of her forehead with the back of her hand. At the risk of sounding arrogant, that race was easy. Maybe it was due to all of her previous training or just natural talent, but now she had the honor of becoming a 'team leader'. She wasn't quite sure what that the teachers were planning on making them do, so she tried to make a well-rounded team. Willow, a powerful woman of flames. Nyara, a healer and fellow Spitirus user. Venissa, a mysterious and quiet girl who had more to her than she let on. Zak, a man full of energy and bravery. And of course my wonderful Kitchi. She wasn't blinded by love whenever she mentioned how great of a warrior he was. The man truly lived up to his name, and she didn't want him on any other team but her's. Glancing at the man who beat her, she approached him with her hand outstretched and ready to be shook; just like she learned to do. "Congratulations, you were very impressive." Offering a friendly smile, she said, "My name is Chepi, and this is my husband Kitchi," she gestured to the man by her side before continuing, "What is your name?" If they were to be pitted against each other, it was only polite to get acquainted first. In their brief passings, she had noticed that he carried himself like a warrior and seemed like a good man. This was an opponent she would be honored to compete against. I can't wait for us to begin.

Honestly, she was surprised anyone would pick her. She was last in the pack, was as quiet as a dust mite, and looked depressed and shy. Maybe they were just trying to take pity on her? She sighed a little. Whatever. It didn't matter. She'd end up in a team either way. She would just be the tiny little Asian girl she looked like and try not to make any trouble as she tried not to panic.

Though... Liliana would probably want her to try to make friends... Who else was on her team? Chepi, obviously. She was the leader... and her significant other seemed to be Kitchi. They were both giants, absolutely huge and a bit strange-looking. Then... Nyara, who looked normal enough... Willow, who looked like a human torch, which was really weird... and finally Zak, the hyper bumkin that was really hard to miss. Their team was totally going to be a train wreck. Her shoulders drooped and her eyes settled back onto Chepi. Could she keep them all in line? Heck, what were they even gonna be doing? She supposed it depended on that more than anything. If it was more running, clearly she would lose.

Right... make friends. She looked at Zak and sighed trying to calm herself before she walked up to him. "Hi...," she said, quiet as a whisper as she raised a hand to give a frail wave, "I bet you would have done very well in the race had you arrived on time." Not the best introduction, but oh well. It was out now. She did wonder why he was late and more than that she was being honest in that she thought he would have done well. He looked well-built, like someone who actually got exercise or at least knew exercise better than she did. She was still trying to settle into the grueling regime of the school. Exercising every night was not something she was raised for and was not something she was good at either.

"DAYUUUUUM! Cmon C! You see all that crazy shit they did in the race!? We coulda won that man! Fifth place is some mediocre ass shit.... Average as hell, middle-a-the road fuckin' last playoff spot energy! Thought I trained you better man!" rambled Ten from Cayd's shoulder as the race closed. If only Ten's mouth would too, sure it was the usual yada-yada but this time it was worse because this bs rang true; that Cayd might've won if he cheated like the rest.

He'd thought it pointless; no reason for swindles. Brick-dumb too cause teach would punish cheats of course....? Wrong that was with the inverse true, rewarding scams in the strange game Lou misunderstood. In it lies were praised, breaking rules was the only law and nothing was too far. So even with speed keeping close he'd lost by default being honest; he'd checked in without a skiff so to speak. It was annoying to miss the true game and Ten's ramble stoked an ember; a rare tilt buried under stone stoicism.

A good trait to have because from the looks he needed focus in spades. He didn't know a soul among his team but they looked weak. All three were kids, maybe one a teenager? Against the other units? Lou hoped the game peaceful to be frank. It was true that one never knew in the twist-tale world who could do this or couldn't do that; but it looked the massacre if things went war-way. Cayden would keep it to himself, best be polite but behind floating eyes he mused life expectancy, muttering "Cayden" with a head nod to the three.

Followed short by a moron-esque "AYO! Thanks for pickin my mans here, lord knows he need friends with his weird quiet ass. I'm Ten, the Cayden whisperer, born in..... " he'd intro obnoxious, cut off by a hand to the metal-face and a slow-simple "Ten.... shut up" from Cayd.

Yanvara was clearly excited to have scored second in the race, they loved the fact that they got to be their own leader and at least show that they weren't to be underestimated to say the least. They looked into the direction of the teammates they chosen and smirked in their direction, she didn't know much about anyone other than how tall they were and their gender, which sorta reminds them of the guy they shouldered into the dirt when they had their super strength activated. He was pretty tall to say the least but their was another guy with the exact same height as him and she honestly didn't know which one was the dude she shouldered. Although as of right now her main goal was to relish a bit in their victory as of now, she choose her teammates at complete random, being blind and all pretty much unabled her to choose based on complete looks. Although being blind was also a bit of a handicap as well, she thought that maybe it would be best to choose a co-leader just in case. They went on over to the team the chosen so that they could introduce themselves in a eccentric manner "Heyo, guys and gal, Im Yanvara, your new leader and i just wanted to get to known my peeps for the Yan Yan Squad!" they then went over to muse about how they just called their team the Yan Yan Squad thinking that maybe a better name would be cooler "Ya know maybe the Yan Yan Squad is a bit tacky any other suggestions for a cool name? Ya, know what we can come up with a cool team name after all the introductions. Anyways as i said my names Yanvera Shakti i'm from Terra Occidens and don't ask me to do anything that requires the use of my eyes because im pretty much blind. " they were a bit enthusiastic as of now and spoke with the sorta enthusiasm as one could expect as they were smiling at their group. Although thinking about it telling them that she was blind may not have put them at ease since she was the team leader and all.

Ivan Timurovich

0850

Patronus program

They were to race today. Thankfully, he had already warmed himself up in the morning, but he didn't see any harm in stretching while he listened to the rules. With what seemed like little to no effort, Ivan lifted his right leg so that it would be perfectly perpendicular to the ground before reaching with his left hand for his toes... And then bending left. The motion itself made it look as if he was a bow being drawn, but he didn't give it any thought as he kept his balance and listened. Today was going to be a footrace to decide team leaders, which was odd considering he thought the point was to make them all comrades in their efforts, but a little competition didn't hurt anyone. Switching sides, he continued his little stretching routine through and through until they were instructed to line up and ready themselves.

The countdown seemed slow as he took in one deep breath, yawned, and then took off with both his use of Navitas inwardly to spring himself forward out of a crouched starting position. His first step alone had left a divot in the ground from where he started, and his long legs were serving him well... But someone was keeping pace. It was a woman that looked to be a descendant of the NRNA tribes, and even without his height advantage, she was hauling ass just as well as he was. It was surprising to him to say the least - Timurovich trained since they were kids to be as athletic as one could be, and she was keeping pace well enough that he had lost his concentration for a moment and ended up falling behind by a yard.

It didn't matter, though. With a huff of effort, Ivan lunged forward to kick his shoes off, using the airtime to strip his socks so that he could use his toes. Little known fact: The toes are where the last vestiges of strength in stride come from, and the traction of being able to use one's toes lent itself well to footraces, which once again let him get back into a tie.

The race was over, however, with him squeaking through just a foot in front of who he would find out later was named Chepi, and she seemed far more of a good sport than he was used to. Admittedly, he was somewhat ashamed that his undershirt was now starting to become transparent from his perspiration, and having used everything he could to win, the uniform was starting to feel too warm, so.... Off it came. Ivan took off the jacket and shirt/tie of his uniform, leaving just his white tank-top beneath on before he dried his hand and shook Chepi's own.

"It was good race," Ivan said with a smile, though he felt himself somewhat out of breath. He took her hand gladly and shook it in earnest. "I'm Ivan - good to meet you both. Is obvious you're no slacker - I almost lost against you. You did well in race, and will be good to get to know you better in future events. For now, though, I must see to new team. Keep up good work, friend."

Having said that, Ivan turned from Chepi to look at his team with his hands on his hips. Ivanna - a relative of the Timurovich family, Ian - someone who he was sure he took on earlier in the week to fight against the instructor Seryva, Gavin - his roommate, which was even better since he now had a good reason to whip the man into shape, and two others he hadn't had the chance to be very familiar with, but he would welcome them anyway. The basis of a good team was coordination, and that always needed work whether you were new or a veteran, and he'd do his best.

"Hello," he said to them with a wave of his hand. "Name is Ivan. It will be good working with all of you. If there are any concerns, I guess is my responsibility now to address and sort them, so don't be afraid to talk to me about them since we are comrades. We'll be working together from now until instructors decide otherwise, so we should get to know each other well and work on days to meet up for team training, from coordination to conditioning. Let's do our best, friends."

Out of this year, he didn't expect that the Unum Forus would be made to develop teams so early, and suddenly having the role did in fact make him nervous, but if he was to be team leader, he couldn't show it. They would have to rely on him and vis-a-vis. A team needed to be able to work with each other without hesitation and have trust in one another completely. There couldn't be reservations or hesitation to do what they needed to do, and as long as he was team lead, they would have to learn to work with each other and come to be more than just friends, but a unit in itself. A single unit that operated like a well-oiled machine...

Nyara Innistra

0830

Patronus Program - Team Chepi

She was out of breath by the time the race had ended, so much so that she had found herself on her hands and knees trying to catch her breath. The Patronus in her class were insane with their stamina, and it was clear that her own training regimen wasn't good enough. She would have to work harder and put more time towards her physical conditioning. She couldn't fail from this point on, considering the path she was taking now. The Innistra of old would have been ashamed of her performance and she knew it, so how she got on any team was a wonder to her. She had tied with Avia and just barely squeaked ahead of Chepi's husband Kitchi somehow. Slowly sitting back on her knees, Nyara swept her light-hued locks from her sweat-covered face before taking off the uniform jacket that she had neglected to take off before the footrace, still trying to catch her breath as she wiped the sweat from her brow with the sleeve of her shirt.

Yes, as a resident of the NRNA, she had physical conditioning and marksman training, but Marksmen were only mobile in bursts - switching their position only as necessary unless they were posted on the walls of their fortified communities to hold back the Deadland beasts, and that was the problem. Again, she was ruminating over the fact that her past training wasn't going to cut it at all, and she had even tried her best.

Maybe it was just a bad day for this, came a voice in her head, but she shook it off. It didn't matter if it was a bad day or not. This was to see just how well-conditioned they were, and it was obvious she wasn't. She had to do more. She had to switch up everything she's been doing so she could do more than just this. Would her mom be ashamed of her for this, or would she at least have been proud that she tried?

A frustrated groan left her lips as she sat back square on her behind with her arms supporting her weight behind her, legs crossed as she thought over what she had been doing until now. A single mile jog wouldn't be enough. She'd have to get up earlier to tackle her exercises. Thinking about it, she had to change her diet, too. This past week was full of nothing but introduction-to-the-school time and eating, and she not only wasn't doing more, but she had been slacking on what she should have been doing as far as conditioning went. Looking at Ivan and Chepi, she was noticing more, too.

They both were definitely more functionally toned than her, and pinching at her stomach revealed that, yes, she had already gained weight. Another frustrated, yet quieter groan escaped her as she stood up and dusted herself off. She came in nearly last out of everyone who was doing their best, and that wasn't going to be good enough for her at all. Whining and complaining about it wouldn't, either, but it was hard for her to try to motivate herself after the loss. Would she hold the team back in team events? They'd likely have to pick up her slack until she got into better shape, and that only made things worse.

"Get it together, darnit," she muttered to herself before picking her uniform jacket on. She had to stop complaining or it was just going to get worse. "Just get back on the horse."

It wasn't much as far as self-aimed motivational speeches were concerned, but with her current mood, it had to be enough as she dusted the debris from her jacket and threw it back on...

Issac Jackson

Insidiator Program

Holy fucking shit, that race was a blur. Absolutely drenched from moving his little legs as fast as he could while tripping up Aswad with some Terra tricks had been taxing, even with him being at almost his peak of shape, though he guessed that this probably meant that he wasn't since he came in third. In fact, just for his own sake, Issac had to recap the whole race in his head just to make sure he was right about coming in third.

When the instructor had said to go, the whole mass of his fellow insidiators were bolting forth rather than simply lurching, and it was all he could do at the beginning just to stay among the crowd before everyone was using all sorts of little tricks. Maybe it was because he was so small that people didn't notice him, but it seemed like he was the only one who wasn't targeted. Just thinking about it made him feel bad for tripping up Aswad mid-stride to keep his lead on the guy, and he gave into the fact that he would probably have to apologize later since it seemed like the guy might've gotten double-screwed if he remembered correctly. After all that was just a mad dash, using Navitas to keep propelling himself forward in order to stay among the top four, and after crossing the finish line, he actually let himself stumble before skidding and plopping down where he was right now, laying in the grass and heaving life-giving air into his lungs.

He felt gross. All the sweat and heat made him gross, and far as he could tell, these uniforms were made to keep them all comfortable, which said something about just how much he had to exert just to keep up. Issac forced himself to sit up, then clamber to his feet before taking his jacket off, followed by his shirt, and then his undershirt so that he could feel the cool crossbreeze of the area against his skin, face and flesh flushed red with proof of his exertion. In fact, he didn't even allow himself to look down as he kept his hands on his hips and his head tilted up to catch his breath before realizing that he had the smallest team of the whole group....

Which made him grin. It was a happy, yet wicked grin as he looked at Hira and Talvyn. The three of them made a very small group, and while the other teams might have an advantage in numbers, that only meant in something like firepower if they had snatch-and-run challenges for their class, for instance, and had to fight their way out, but smaller teams worked more quietly, and were easier to hide than otherwise. To be even shorter about it, they left even less footprints than the other teams might, and their chatter could even be more silent.

Issac wanted to laugh at his luck. He drew the short straw when the short straw was the one you should be aiming for, for once, and his little abs quivered as he tried to stifle himself. Having felt the little quivering, he hadn't really inspected himself as of late and decided to do so as he aired out his clothes, which seemed to be drying remarkably fast:

He looked like a stick. A very well-defined, small, inconspicuous stick. Like a stick that shouldn't have as many muscles showing as it did, and it almost made him a little embarrassed. His tiny body looked almost as if it was cut from stone, and-

"Alright," he said, cutting himself off. "Enough'a that." Throwing his clothes back on, sans undershirt, he took a moment to make himself presentable and adjust his tie before walking up to Talvyn and Hira to introduce himself.

"Sup, mates?" He started, hands on his hips as he looked to the two with a grin, though he had to look upwards to do so. "Looks like we're a team, and we're the smallest team, so let's get along and learn to work well with each other. They might make me team lead, but I don't really care as much about it as I care about gettin' along, trustin' each other, and all that jazz. So let's get ta know each other as well as our strengths n' weaknesses so we can work together like a bunch'a cogs in an ass-kickin' machine, yeah?"

Magister Program
It had been the better part of a week, and she was still shaking and hyperventilating every time she stepped foot on the Aquas Island. It wasn't as bad as the first time... and she had to constantly remind herself that she wasn't actually underwater. She could breathe. She didn't have to worry. Even if her body was screaming at her to worry, she really didn't have to. The school refused to change her classes, stating that she needed to push past her fears. Assholes.

Once she managed to seat herself in class, it wasn’t as bad. The addition of Artor sticking his arm down his familiar helped a little. She smirked at some of the horrified reactions.

Then came the actual work, and it seemed they’d begin with something rather cutesy. A pop quiz of their own design. What topic would it be on? She looked down at her paper and tapped her pencil rhythmically.

1. How long does it take for a crystal-infused appleberry blend to ferment optimally?

2. To what size should you chop up deathwart into your brew to avoid being poisoned?

3. How much mana does it take for Benitoite to pop?

4. What is the optimal temperature to store a potion of healing?

5. What complications can arise from poor brewing of a healing potion when administered?

Those would be good questions. She smiled down at her paper and looked up at Artor, raising a hand only for a moment to note that she had completed the task.

Thur, the 5th of October, Year 500
8:50 - Magister
Miranda had arrived at her magister program before she was late, since she had shown Maria the gift and the note before she had to go. Her breakfast was eaten as well, so she was ready for her first day of the magister program.
Once at the Aquas Island, Miranda was sitting in the middle row. Since she didn't want to be in the front row this time.
Mr. Artor told everybody in the class his name, and then talked about the magister program. Everything was normal like usual until Mr. Artor asked them to do a pop quiz. 'A pop quiz on our first day of the magister program? Well, this is going to be annoying.' thought Miranda. She doesn't like pop quizzes, because they are way too random.
Mr. Artor said that they need to write five questions down, but Miranda doesn't have a pencil or a paper to write on due to her situation. As she was going to ask their teacher about that, Mr. Artor had given them a pen and paper by pulling them out from the shark's mouth.
'Did he just pull some pens and paper from that shark's mouth?' thought Miranda. Even though, she wasn't going to ask Artor why he put that stuff in a shark's mouth. Miranda wrote her questions on the paper.
1. How did you become a teacher for Augurium, Mr. Artor?
2. If an ex diem student were to be using their light magic to draw on the walls during class time. What would you do?
3. If someone were to have a leaky magic problem during the magister program. What would you do about them?
4. Do you like Soup the Ex Diem teacher, Mr. Artor?
5. What is your favorite color?
Upon finishing with the questions, she wanted to ask. Miranda put the pen down, and just waited for everyone to finish. 'I hope that Mr. Artor doesn't mind about this. Because I am not sure what to ask him, due to me being in a desert for three years.' thought Miranda.
Despite trying to learn new stuff from the school's library, and trying to preserve the stuff she learned from her school in the sand. Miranda wouldn't remember everything.

Magister Program
She was dragging her feet this morning. Osuka, her tagalong, was still more or less refusing to leave her side. Authorities had determined he wasn't an immediate threat and just wanted to observe him. She didn't... mind so much, him being around her. She felt safe. He was kind. All the same, it was still so strange. He was convinced her memory was missing, and that he was a part of it. She didn't remember her past, sure, but she couldn't just trust any tom, dick, or sally that walked up and told her they were a part of her life.

At the moment, she wasn't worried about any of that. Osuka made sure she got breakfast, which she probably wouldn't have had if he hadn't. Then she was off to her first class of the day. This one was with Mr. Artor on the Aquas island, and though she hadn't met him yet, she was excited to. The island itself was absolutely wonderful, and the fact she could swim about in the air there like she was flying was beyond amazing. It woke her up quite a bit.

Once in the classroom... she had no clue what to have for questions. Sure, the familiar thing was... disturbing, but she'd seen weirder here. This was the real conundrum!

Question One... hmm... "What year was Terra Augurium founded?" That one was well-known. Not too hard. Question two, "What is the Japanese Undersea Empire's cute mascot?" Also easy. She wasn't very good at this. Three, "How many electives are there at this school?" She sighed inwardly. Why not ask things more elementary, Colette, she muttered mentally to herself, in such a way that Osuka could hear. Fourth question, "What is Mr. Artor's first name?" And last but not least, "How old am I?" Rubbish questions, all around, but eh. They'd have to do.

1581542277110.pngThe Gate - The Ring
Patronus and Insidiator Programs
Ellania didn't wait for the groups of either program to finish their chats. As they talked and got to know one another, she walked up to the wooden gate that sat in the large wall. With a small movement, she pushed it open and revealed dense, lush forest within. Her fingers went up to her lips and she whistled, the sound resonating loud and clear, "Patronus, with me, please! Don't get lost quite yet."

Mikael waited until her group had followed her inside before turning to the Insidiator students, "Well I suppose we should get started then too! Follow me please." He headed in as well, though to a different area than Ellania.

1581543374090.png
Patronus
Fifty feet in and five-hundred feet to the left, Ellania stopped suddenly. Her stride was difficult to keep up with in the underbrush, and when she turned around, she counted heads quickly to make sure she hadn't lost anyone. Once she did, she cleared her throat and began explaining, "Let's get this started, shall we? Since today is the first day, I'm going to go a bit easy on you. As two groups, you need to work together and accomplish a few tasks. First and foremost, you need to find three lost mana wyrms inside this forest. Once you find them, return them to me. As a secondary set of objectives, you need to set up a fire, shelter, and procure food for your group. Group leaders, it will be your job to help delegate who does what. My recommendation is to listen, make sure people are doing what they're good at, and know when to back off."

"You have until the end of class to sort out these objectives and complete them, at which time, you'll be given points. I'm just here to make sure you guys don't manage to kill yourselves somehow. Don't stand in hot embers, don't set the forest on fire, etc, etc. You'd be surprised what people can manage to mess up. No, by the way, I'm not going to explain how to start a fire or whathaveyou. You'll need to see who in your group knows how to do these various life skills," she mused, shaking her head at the thought of students managing to set themselves on fire, "Go ahead and get started now. Decide what objective you're doing, who's doing it, and so on. Good luck."

Insidiator
Whereas Ellania headed to the left, Mikael took his class to the right. He followed along the wall for about seven-hundred feet until he stopped in a small clearing. Once there, he turned to face his students, "Our plan today - hunt the Patronus students." With that simple sentence, he turned away again and uncovered a series of boxes. He opened them and began handing a paintball rifle to each of his students, "It will go as such: You head out in groups and attempt to sneak up on and peg the Patronus students with a paintball. If they see you, you get hit instead. A paintball will nail you from seemingly nowhere. If they don't see you, and you manage to peg them, however, you will gain a point in your group's favor."

Mikael looked over the faces of his students and grinned, "We'll work on some other stuff later, but for now, this is exciting. So have at. Try not to get caught, and have fun tracking your targets."

Zak was dull-suprised at the small girl's greet; she didn't seem typed to seek the wolves. Yet there she was drenched in shyness and somber soul like a black cast of ink. It was heavy in the air with timid-meek whispered words and a waif wave; that and the people pleasing compliment. A triage that crunched with gears snapping to paint an impression; that Venissa was damaged and delicate. Zak had seen enough of the beaten to know, and a piece sympathized but in the same vein he'd seen enough darkness to normalize her's.

It was a contradiction embodied by a Bucker up Buckeroo mentality and a quick lean to place an index under her chin, raising it an inch to joke "High-ya chin, don't look tha-zombie!" with undue boldness.... As if it were totally okay to up and touch someone's face? Zak meant well, but per usual it was off; sourced from a different world.

At least it was short-lived weirdness, pulling his hand quick to finish last bits, hardly chewing before boasting -- "A fact I'dda tak'n da race! Mad to miss it but life's-a trip" with a shrug, mildly upset to miss the race but measured in his dissapointment.

Fast Forward
Past potential conversations that may or may not have happened, and any happenings that may have happened to happen during this fast forward. I bring you to the death forest!

Zak had never seen a forest to be true. Plants he'd spotted and rare trees too, but this! Moon wasn't a 'man of nature' but he could admit this was something else. It was interesting stuff, from the high canopies to venomous flowers and new crawlers; it captivated Zak and zoned him in......

But not on Ellania's speech. The trees were really fucking big and the Mana Wyrms were the goal, that's all he noticed; other students would keep track of the boring stuff anyway. A reliable play for any school scenario was to let the nerds listen and ask them for the short version after. Nerds lived to explain things, they'd happily break down the long and drawn to simple-stark. So with the teacher departing Zak yawned, waiting for Chepi's call and context clues for the nitty details.

Aswad&Ahmar
( apologies if late/bad)
Of course, Ahmar was pissed but not at want might be expected he was more pissed that the girl blocked his fireball, of course, they were not meant to kill the others but where was the fun in that? Although ahmar was sure she felt it, would have gotten thrown around like a rag doll hurt like hell but it was worth it.

aswad, on the other hand, wasn't too happy with his hot head of a brother, of course, he had to go and try to kill someone exactly not what they were meant to do oh well, wasn’t much he could do to stop his bro form doing that the beserker he was. He wasn’t surprised when the girl was also his roommate Kira, and there own twin apparently, had decided to pick both him and his brother to be part of their team. Probably some revenge would be enacted on Kira part, served Ahmar right, he didn’t learn anything unless it was beaten into him. especially with how he responded to Kira

Ahmar just smirked back at Kira giggling at her statement god was that cute she was making threats like she could actually do something Ahmar could probably turn her to ash if he really wanted too. The smirk changed to a cocky and almost devious smile along with his appearance changing as well “iiimmm thinking no. Because seriously iv met dogs with more bark then you, and at least they can bite back. But sure go ahead” he spoke confidently ruffling her hair before stepping back

A frenetic breeze bled to the air, explosive ADHD luring Hohlt to the street. She wanted to meet new people and explore Trade Isle; to talk with teammates and hit pavement running! It was a nerve storm and the source wasn't sure but what the hell! Sig felt mighty impulsive!

She wanted to jump Thomas' back, hug quiet Yua, chill with Jacks and play claps with Vulmar's six hands. She wanted to talk at Xelon cause he looked bored and Soup! What a weird dude but he was awesome! Then there was Jade.... She was always mean for no reason, but maybe Sig could spark a conversation? Break the ice sheet? No one else had and Hohlt felt sorry for her in a way. That said there was the job yes, the jobs she needed one of; right-o!

Inventory was it? Going around the island? Getting stock for the store? Yes..... yesyesyesyesyes that was very-very good; good to run amuck with class' blessings. She was born ready with electric legs as the rest riffed jobs here and jobs there but DAMN?!? Hohlt wanted to ruuuuun the hell out, maybe fly with Aere-boost mana-wings; see some stuff.....

Maybe buy some things..... She needed new shoes?

Whatever

"I'm going out! That supply run thing! Leave it.... to me...." she'd blurt play-serious at the end, gear-changing with -- "And whoever else wants to come! Leave it to us I mean! Hmmmmm....... There's clothing, tech, reading, carving, uhhhhhh, four. Need supplies for those, any more? I don't know that's a lot!" said with a laugh, bumbling.

Delusion.jpg

He was late, and he knew it; he had a pretty intense journey to say the least, and arrived only recently at the school. He barely had time to settle down and get the directions - well, there were also all the immigrations papers to fill, too. As well as the mandatory questioning, it wasn't every day that an egyptian noble defected from the Theocracy for one of its most hated enemies, and it raised many a question. So, the past few days had been taxing on Rhonas, both physically and mentally, and he just had time to know where to head once all the paperwork was over.

All in all, it was a pretty tired Rhonas that arrived on Trade Island, heading towards the mock shop while sighing wearily. How would he introduce himself to the others... ? He really wasn't made for that kind of stuff... Well. The obvious came to mind. Why not try to be nice, for once ? They probably wouldn't be hostile, not for a first meeting that is. That seemed like a good idea.

He approached the mock shop with slightly upturned lips, as he thought that it would be a refreshing experience. As he was coming close, he heard an adult voice speaking - noticing that his own body was slumping forward due to the fatigue, he straightened himself as not to make a poor first impression on the teacher.

Having previously wrapped both his arms in red clothing to conceal his less than appealing experiments, he quietly pushed the door of the shop.

-

It was a tall man that pushed the door of the small shop on Trade Island, a man with a fiery red mane, and equally red clothing - though the clothes were nothing special, the mantle covering them was openly opulent, with golden lining and many decorations among which the shining metallic pin stood out the most.

There was a small silence as he entered, his silhouette appearing through the doorframe like an ominous figure of children's tales, his shadow spearing through the room, rising against the wall. As he stepped forward, nodding apologetically towards the adult in the room, he machinally added
"I am sorry for being late, Mr, the night has been hard on me. Though worry not, I heard your explanations..." in egyptian before trailing off as he noticed both the small horns on the teacher's head and his uncomfortably unconventional outfit. Awkwardly, he added "I had not noticed that... Well, does it matter ?"

He then looked around at the other students present in the shop; a girl with a haughty face, a cheerful boy, an energetic girl, someone of unknown gender with long blond hair, and finally a young girl that looked like she was about to burst into tears.

"Hm. Anyway, nice to meet you all. My name is Rhonas Khalyfet, and I will be in your care as of now. I hope we can build fruitful relationships together."

As he spoke, he calmly walked towards the small girl - she had a mechanical arm, he noticed - and stopped in front of her, his eyes looking into hers. Putting a friendly hand on her head and gently ruffling her hair, he added "Cry not, girl. I am sure everybody here will be very kind with you."

Unspoken was the "And come to me if they are not." For some reason, he was not thinking as coldly and rationnally as usual. Instead, his emotions welled up, causing him to express some feelings he usually did not.

1581811372344.png1581811381686.pngAs soon as the teacher set them off Kitchi began climbing the tallest tree he could find to get a lay of the land taking a few minutes to get full bearings of their location. After about a minute of looking he got the bearings and climbed back down. "There's a good canopy about 50 yards that way." He says pointing southwest.

Chepi nodded at his statement. The two of them worked so well together that they might as well have been one. She wasn't worried about Kitchi, but she was concerned with the rest of her team. Analyzing them again, she noticed that Zak was already starting to mentally check out. I need to have him search for mana wyrms. She was familiar with his type; he'd get bored looking for food and shelter and would probably go off on the more 'exciting' mission on his own. Then again, I am just making an assumption on a weak impression. Better safe than sorry though. Kitchi was also an obvious choice for hunting the wyrms; he was an experienced tracker and the only Vitae user on their team that she was aware of. She hesitated when choosing the final member of Kitchi's team. Venissa and Nyara hadn't done that well during the race while Willow nearly beat Chepi, but they needed someone reliably strong on their team in case they ran into trouble. "Before I assign teams," she began, "Is there anything that I need to know about anyone and their abilities?" Glancing at her husband and effective co-captain, she asked, "Your thoughts?"

"Zak looks perceptive and attentive, he would do well with me on the search for the wyrm's. Willow is fast and would make a good messenger if we ran into trouble. The other two I have no bearings of." He says to her in their tribal tongue. "The girls look weak so it's best they help make camp." He begins snapping off large branches with his bear hands. He had his tomahawk but usually his hands were enough to get the job done, just like now. "You have your tomahawk with you so you and the others can prepare the wood for camp. Just set up a small teepee and we can last the night."

Chepi hummed in confirmation. Kitchi was saying the same thing she was thinking. It was best to keep the slowest ones with her for food and camp making. Luckily Chepi was experienced in both as they had been raised in the wilderness. If the other two were lacking the knowledge that she had then she could easily teach them. Let's just hope we don't run into the other team. She wasn't sure if they were allowed to fight each other or not, but she wasn't going to leave her team open for any attacks in case someone decided to try it.

"I feel something is amiss however... this challenge is too easy." He says warily looking around.

So it wasn't just her. "I wouldn't be surprised if the school decided to test us," she responded, "I think the other team may attack us, or perhaps a familiar will be sent after us." Sylvia had a ferocious familiar. Chepi didn't want to go against something like that but they may have no choice. Turning to the rest of the group, she reiterated, "If you have a proficiency in tracking or in camp-making, I would like to be aware of it." After a pause, she added, "Please." Yes she was their leader, but a leader was only as good as the people who chose to follow them.

Khonsu watched his class with silent, judging eyes. Jade's speech was... good enough. It screamed her inner cruelty, her uncaring nature. The way she looked down at others. He wondered to himself if she did that to protect herself, or if she was truly just that way. All the same, she was right. These kids were not experts, and to know what to sell, they needed to know what was lacking in the market. She was like a shark in the water... or, no. Worse. An Orca. And, she was, of course, right. She didn't know these people, hadn't even interviewed them. Their job titles may as well be randomly picked to her. It didn't matter.

The next girl to speak up, Yua, made Soup smile a little. She was so shy and cute, and beyond that, seemed to know a bit about the market. She wasn't living in the dorms, but rather nearby, so it made sense. If her mom or dad or whoever ran a shop here, then, of course, she'd know a thing or two. She'd be invaluable. He hoped Jade would recognize that.

So. Clothes - comfortable, non-fancy, non-school related, with a bit of magitech sewn in if they could manage it. That sounded like the game plan thus far. Next, if they could get it, some reading material. Physical or electronic books that you can buy. Sure, the school had lots of libraries, but books to keep, not so much. Wonderful ideas.

Xelon seemed to want to be the customer representative. That was good. He seemed a bit unsure about the silver tokens, however. Perhaps he needed to explain a bit more... Pandora wanted to keep some of the things they made, which, he mused at, "That's not my choice. That's up to the Store Manager, Jade... and who's to say you'd make the clothes and not outsource? You've not decided that yet." She was cute, but she went on unnecessarily about her life. He doubted Jade cared much for such information. She did, however, have some interesting ideas and wanted to be a customer rep with Xelon. Good! This would be interesting.

He was practically thrown out of his thoughts at the shouting of Thomas. What the fuck was that boy on? He was pleased that he was so... interested but damn. He even made a mess of a table with tiny bots. This boy was a magitech fanatic, wasn't he...? Soup glanced at Jade, wondering what she would have to say to all of this. Siggie was a mess too, already wanting to head out without even being given money yet! This group could go bonkers with one wrong move. She had her work cut out for her.

Rhonas was late. Soup narrowed his eyes at the noble a little. He hoped this one would not cause problems. He sighed and smiled. Ah well, it was wrong of him to judge a book by its cover!

Khonsu looked to Jade again, "Right. I think that's everyone, yes? Time to give you money so that you can send out your inventory specialists to retrieve your stock. By the by, one recommendation I have for the silver tokens is to strike a deal with a nearby shop. A customer buys a token with their order here, they get a discount at the other shop. Something like that that benefits both of you." He cleared his throat, and handed Jade a thick envelope, "Anyway! Three-thousand AU dollars to stock the shop. Spend it well."

08:50 - Patronus Class

Gavin.jpg He couldn't meet his team leader's eyes. Every time his gaze drifted over, Gavin's own gaze immediately snapped to a random spot away from the taller man. To be frank he still hadn't forgotten the dude's outburst in the cafeteria a few days ago. Sure it was only a first impression, but damn was it a bad impression. Fuck I hope he doesn't freak out on us. Why did he have to pick Gavin? Why couldn't he have been picked by the really tall kids from the other team? Chewing on his lip, the brunet did his best to not draw attention to himself but ended up looking nervous and out of place. Glancing at the guy next to him, Gavin quietly said, "I'm so nervous right now."

Violet eyes landed on him and made the brunet sweat a little more under the intensity of the gaze. "Don't talk to me." His teammate's voice was gruff and his expression frosty. That should've deterred Gavin but he thought that if he pushed a little then his team mate would open up.

"Is that a right now thing? Or not talk for the whole competition thing? Because we're probably going to have to talk. We're on the same team and all. My name's Gavin, I'm a Vene Aere. What's your name? You look like a Vene Terra; how're those classes going?"

The more he spoke the harsher the glare he received. It hadn't registered how tall the other guy was until he was looming over Gavin with a furious expression. "It's Guiren. Now leave me alone." Not waiting for an answer, Guiren turned and stomped off to a spot further away from everyone else but still within ear shot of Ivan and his directions. Geez, what is with everyone here? Maybe he should've kept his mouth shut, but he didn't think that the other guy would be so nasty. Huffing out a little sigh, the brunet crossed his arms and kept to himself. Fine then, don't be my friend. At least the twins are fun.

Interactions: Issac Osuka Osuka
Mentions: Lee Kyrenka Kyrenka
Talvyn spent most of their time next to Lee in the race for the captain spot, he in all honesty could of probably got a leader spot if he actully tried but he didn't really wanna lead a team. So instead he chose to stick near Lee to make sure he didn't get caught up in the cross fire of insidator students plus he took the time to focus on watching the other students tactics for winning the race. He was able to find quite a few people that were pretty nefarious by the looks of things and pretty much told Lee about the ones he needs to look out for. In all honesty he didn't really know why Lee took this program since it could be a bit dangerous for him considering some of the students can have quite questionable morals. Although Talvyn himself knew that he wasn't as innocent either, although the fact that him and Lee were on different teams may complicate things if these teams are permanent and not for just today. Though Lee he would try his best to go easy on Lee if he had to go against him, although he hoped it wouldn't have to come to that. Talvyn then looked over to Issac the person who choose him to be a part of his group. He was shorter than even Lee and was likely the second shortest person over their teenage years that they seen , Issac reminded him much of Sanza although with Sanza it always felt that she was looking down upon him with her mousy eyes. Listening to Issac he couldn't help but chuckle a bit at him saying smallest team, which was ironic since he was the smallest leader. Once he came to asking about their strength and weakness though, he didn't let his smirk waiver in the slightest. It seems that their little leader wanted to know some pretty useful Intel on them of course, he wasn't gonna give out too much info until they confirmed if the teams are permanent which he would likely find out next week. So giving info without giving too much would likely be the best course of action "Well im a Tenbris user and i don't really prefer direct combat." it wasn't much info to go on but it was just enough for him to know a bit of his capabilities and what he shouldn't try to have him do. Although thinking it over he probably should of just told him that he was a Navita instead of Tenebris but oh well he didn't plan to tell Issac that he was a Duplex yet. So he just went with it and smiled at issac until the teacher gave went on to grab their attention and lead them towards the area in the forest. He promptly went over to grab one of the paintball rifles with a gleeful smile as he then looked towards Issac and Hira waiting to see what their leader wanted them to do next.

It looked like the day would keep going well; Ariu hadn't met any inconvenience yet, her classmates seemed kind, or at the very least polite if not affable, and the teacher - Mr. Artor, he had told them instants before, with a great smile... - the teacher was both outgoing, very cheerful and amicable, and exquisite... a perfect white smile on a perfect face, impeccable mannerisms, though maybe a tendency to the unexpected, and a tasteful dress style. He'd make a perfect model, she thought, spending maybe an entire minute studying his features in detail...

Hastily, she shook her head. It wasn't time to get distracted when there was a task at hand. She felt herself blush slightly as she lowered her gaze, hurriedly picking up her notebook and pen. Surely, it was just concentration that created the heat she could feel in her cheeks, and it was merely her focused mind that made her hear the pulse of her blood in her temples. She mustn't err away from what was asked of her, she thought. And so she started working, even though reminiscent images of ruby eyes and a silver mane floated in her mind for a few seconds.

Now, what could she ask questions about ? There weren't many topics she felt fluent about... She spent maybe two minutes pondering, until the lightbulb lit. Yes, there was something she could use. Something about as old as mankind, and just as varied. Something she was truly proficient in and could find questions to ask about. Once it popped in her head, it was merely a question of seconds as she jotted down her ideas, the concepts taking shape in her head. She'd write questions about art.

First would come the music.

"First Question - Easy : What is the most common scale in treble key ?"

Anybody with a minimal knowledge of the field would find the answer right away, even though it would maybe ask the question of the correctness of the answer. Of course, it was C Major, but who was sure of it ? There were so many different scales, and none weighed the same in everyone's mind.

"Second Question - Easy : What is the sound frequency of the common tuning pitch, A4 ?"

Again, a question of which the answer was evident. Perhaps even easier than the first, as it was nigh-guaranteedly to be mentioned in high school or college. Ah, physics. She remembered a few things, though it was far from being her favorite subject. Maybe the others had preferred it ?

Second would be poetry.

"Third Question - Medium : When referring to poetry, define what is a lay."

That one was trickier. It required remembering lessons from early high school, maybe even late middle school. But it wasn't very hard intrinsically. It was more... pure trivia. Not everybody knew that a lay was made of two quatrains followed by two tercets. To be fair, it was very hard to write lays correctly, and it was something she had no experience in at all, even though she enjoyed reading those.

"Fourth Question - Medium : Who is the author of the poem 'The Sleeper in the Vale' ?"

Now, this... This was a mean question. It was a very ancient work, and it wasn't often talked about. Rimbaud had not been very famed even in his own time, and thus he remained quite obscure.

And finally, for the last, would not be the least... Literature.

"Fifth Question - Hard : What is the primary topic of the epic 'The Legend of the Ages' ?"

She loved that work. What was more interesting than the history of mankind put into verse, onto paper, by skillful pen and through the purest ink ? There was no other work that retraced a hundred centuries so perfectly as much as this one, there was no epic that was as dreaful nor as shining into the soul of the reader.
She started dreaming as memories of her reading filled her mind, and she flipped the page over, starting to trace a few lines of the scenes depicted in the books. Ten minutes wouldn't be enough to make something clean, but a sketch would be great. And thus the tip of the pencil was flying.

Jade S.
(Emotionally hit by Xelon)

IMG_20191128_101452-1.jpg
Through the rambling Jade seethed, anger unusually potent. Normally she'd be annoyed at their display, but this? She was red; at least the job checked it with mission trumping rage. It kept the line; one toed by Thomas and Sig screaming and Yua's tepid talk; by Soup's stupid getup, the late noble idiot and more! They were all ridiculous! Could they be more annoying? Was it possible to find people more absurd? Their nail-chalkboard tones shrieked "no" to answer that. Jade wanted to curse and call them bums for it! To be on with her day solo and scrub the class! If only....

She had work to do; so locked in she'd jot info on a small electric notepad, stylus choked tight to focus on the work instead of the burn. A good job of it she'd do too, cataloging claimed jobs, suggestions, specialties, a financial ledger, blatant weaknesses and obvious strengths with things like Energetic, Articulated and Moronical scratched beside names. Positive? Hell no, but organized it was with Jade tucking the stylus away, taking funds from Soup with a curt nod to thank.

Thankful too was Jade for the fresh silence; finally they'd quieted! Manager could finally manage, and riffing notes she'd rifle "Clothing and Magitech merged will be the primary product with gadgetry and books the second. The first two we'll produce in house; books we'll source from suppliers in the area. The coins we'll sell with products as a discount token for the next buy. It'll keep people coming back; customers love spending money if the buys' discounted! About jobs; Production Team is Vulmar, Thomas and I" said with confidence, adding to Pandora --"You'll split time between production and Customer outreach depending on the store's pace" to give the girl the mix she'd mentioned.

A quick pause followed as Jade blitzed notes, cold-chiding Siggie -- "You! Focus up! You're purchasing but not alone!" turning to Yua after, explaining "Tag along, you know the area correct? Make sure... Siggie is it??? Doesn't spend our funding on dog food! You'll hold the money, don't lose it" with brutal emphasis at the end, turning eyes to Xelon. His odd-aura bothered her but she'd brush it aside, ordering "You'll be our primary customer representative, handle it with pride!" For once Jade was confident the pick was right, just like the brute she'd pick next for security; the Noble. Jade hated them more than most, and taking joy she'd assign him security, the lowest position with a smirked -- "And you, noble; put your size to use will you? Keep an eye for thieves..... "

"Questions?"
