it's Aurix, CrystalTears

Caspian looked at Aurix. "Sorry did you say something?" he asked, finally turning his attention away from the window.

((Hehe))

Aurix turned back to his father. "As i was saying, im finished with 'getting to know the city.'" Aurix said with a small amount of conemt and annoyance. Most days, he was cooped up with his father receiving lessons on how to run the kingdom correctly. Today he had been tasked with getting to know the layout of the city. Which he did. But it wasnt much better than what he normally did.

"Wh-Where was I?" Queen Nymphadora was afraid that question would be brought up again. "I was....out." she wanted to avoid the question. "I took a swim in the open water." It wasn't a complete lie. She did have to cross open water to get to the island. "I was just visiting a friend, looking for your sister, that's all." Again, it wasn't a lie. Her intention, when she left home was indeed to find Sirena. "Come now, child, I know you love me and that you're my special little prince, but you don't have to know where I am all the time. As long as I come home, that's what matters, right, dear?" She started swimming away.

Kkai thought it was strange how is mother was skirting around the question. Almost as if she was doing something she wasn't supposed to... "Did Sirena get caught?"

Caspian nodded and got up from his throne slowly. He ran a hand through his hair, pushing it back as it floated in front of his face. "Right," he said in a short stressed tone of voice. "You'll need to go again tomorrow and repeat the exercise but you are excused from the rest of your lessons today. You didn't happen to see your siblings did you?" he asked, turning back to the window briefly.

"Yes actually, they were in the market. But there was no harm done, thier perfectly safe as far as i know." He said with an air of calm. "May i go now?" He asked quietly.

"No." Nymphadora still skirted around the truth. Sirena wasn't caught by the humans. They never touched her. "No, she's perfectly fine. She's with a new friend. Now, excuse me, love." She kissed his cheek again. "I must go now."

King Caspian nodded once. "You are excused, I'll see you at dinner," he said simply, turning away from his son.

Aurix swam quickly out of the room, noticing it was already dark. Dinner would be soon. He sighed. He wasted the whole day looking at the kingdom. As he wondered the halls he pondered what to do next.

Julian:

"That actually makes sense... You are half fish... sort of..." Julian said as he looked over to the handkerchief and walked over to the water beside Serina, as he cleaned the handkerchief which had been filled with blood over the past hour. The clear water was quickly tainted by the blood, but as expected it disappeared just as fast, as the handkerchief almost returned to its original color, but a little bit darker, as Julian held the wet handkerchief to his face, he didn't realize that the collar was still around his neck before his arm touched it by accident. How do I remove this anyway? I can't even remember how I first got it," Julian thought as he tried to use his free hand to remove the collar, but had no clue how to even open it in the first place.

That's when Nymphadora bumped into her eldest son. "Oh, hello, Aurix, dear. " she was careful around him, now more than ever. "I see you've done your rounds. That's good." She smiled warmly at him. "I hope you're feeling better, my prince." She touched his cheek softly. Why did he treat her one way and Caspian another. She didn't see how that was fair. Maybe because of the illness, maybe because she was a mermaid, a female. Whatever it was, she was nervous. There was always that possibility that her own son had seen her out while making his rounds. "I love you." She whispered while moving away, praying that, if he did see her, he didn't care.

Aurix greeted his mother in a neutral way. "Hello." He didnt undsrstand why she had to always touch him, everytime she saw him. He didn't say i love you back. "Is there something you needed?" He said plainly.

"Yes, I need to know that you've still got emotions." This was the first time she was ever rude to him. "I need you to smile once in a while and not shut everyone you believe as lower than you out." She wouldn't cry in front of him or anyone else. That wasn't what a queen was supposed to do in times of family crisis. "You know how I have been feeling and you should know that, even if you hate me, I love you." The term drama queen was perfect at this time, but, she just kept going. "Illness or not, whether I'm lower than you in your eyes or not, I'm still your mother and I expect you to respect me." With a slap of her tail, she started swimming away. "You don't have to shut everyone out. You don't have to shut down around me. You show respect to your father, but not me?" She was only feet away now. "I find that funny, considering what I went through. "

Aurix rubbed his temple. "Mother, you're over reacting. Like always." He found her extreme emotions tiresome. "Please, you don't have to be so...." he couldn't think of the proper way to describe her unnecessary fit of worry.

"So what? Annoying? I'm aware of what you think of me, Prince Aurix." The queen growled. "Just remember, when I was talking about what I went through, I wasn't talking about the lobster trap accident." She was talking about what all mothers go through, the birth of their children. "I expect you to smile at dinner and talk to me civilly or not at all."

Aurix grimaced at her. He just looked at her for a couple seconds before saying "yes m'am." Quietly and swam past her. He didn't say it in a respectful tone. Honestly, the more she carried on like that the less he respected her.

Nymphadora felt proud of herself. "I'll see you at dinner, love." She called after him, having to get herself ready for dinner herself. When she reached hers and Caspian's room, she sat herself down in front of the mirror, combing out her hair and humming an old tune from her childhood. Her eyes shut.

((Melody, being a psychopath is no longer considered a mental illness. Just, by the way.))

Sirena notices the collar as he messes with it. "What is that?" She asks, seeing that he was attempting to take it off. It looked like some sort of odd necklace to her, but she had never seen one like it before.

Kai swims to his room, checking in Sirena's room across the hall just to see if she was really gone. He lounges on his bed until dinner is ready.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_07/image.jpg.10fb00c063ae522a08b83f711631e2f4.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="25822" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_07/image.jpg.10fb00c063ae522a08b83f711631e2f4.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>
