A sad day is coming to my home tomorrow. A kitty that has been in our family for nearly 19 years is going to be put down so he doesn't suffer in his old age anymore. Our old man. Lots of tears are going to be in our eyes, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'll be crying the most. He's been my boy for longer than my teenage daughter, and I have to say goodbye to him. Keep our home in your prayers.
 
Sorry to hear about your loss. I know, despite their annoying habits, I'd be lost without my kitties. Thinking of you and yours.

Oh my gosh; my heart goes out to you. I will pray for you and yours (2-legged and 4). Our little "Blue" is around 3 years old and we enjoy her company every day (wonderful little beastie that she is!).


Hey, Sherwood? Maybe you want to get another cat really soon?
 
Um, should I be doing something? And 'Wood, remember the Rainbow Bridge. I've watched over a dozen rabbit's cross over, every one good little critters, but I'll see em again, when I too cross the Rainbow Bridge.
 
I know it's not the same thing but I lost Puky too when she left me. Even though he's still alive and well I miss him enough to cry because I know I'll never have any of the memories we've shared or be there for the future ones... So I kinda know how it feels.


I don't know if I'll be able to stay here after all ( :( )


But um, I finished that poster if anyone was interested. Here's a closeup for detail and a zoomed out pic so you can get the feel for the size. It's not perfect, since I made a couple mistakes while cutting the margins off the 16 pages plus there was no hard cover in the size I needed so I had a cut off an inch or so off one edge... Oh well. I still think it looks good tho. I just wish I did this sooner.

So sorry to hear about your kitty. (:'() It sounds like you've had a happy and unusually long time with him, especially for a boy cat. My family has always had at least one cat in the house, growing up (usually 2-3), and one thing we learned was that it's actually harder to get over the loss of one if there are no cats at all in the house anymore, so we'd always go right out (literally; last time it was the same day) and go to the animal shelter to find a new furry friend. It's not about "replacing" your lost one, because of course nothing can do that; it's more like finding a new friend that will help comfort you.


And that poster looks pretty good, Wolf!

That poster looks too darned cool, Wolf! It also looks sad. Please stay, Wolf. I know our game together brings you joy and you've enough sad as it is without losing that too. Besides that, I am fond of you and it would make me sad if you left, but warm and happy if you stay. Just saying! =)

Just to let you know, I've nominated the game for Roleplay of the Month. Hopefully it gets the award; this game is absolutely top-tier material, and deserves to win!
 
I believe that, officially, the point of the contest is to showcase and advertise an RP so that it shows off its awesomeness and attract new people, which is exactly the opposite of what Dannigan wants to achieve here.


I also get a sense that we've touched this matter before but I can't quite place it *woof*
 
Well, I wasn't trying to get new members for the game, but I was hoping to show my appreciation for a good story. That makes Sharseya a definite candidate for Roleplay of the Month in my book.
 
I know you weren't, but I remember @The Dark Wizard saying (or maybe it was @Miz) that the aim of the contest is attraction of new players which automatically disqualifies any games that are not accepting new players. In other words you are mistaking an ad campaign with a beauty pageant *woof*


Someone disprove me if I am wrong.

Currently, it is indeed the aim of RotM is to highlight open RPs. It's great that you're having so much fun here though (^.^)

I hope to have something posted by tomorrow; Real Life has me working odd hours and it's throwing me off. =)
 
@All Heya, folks! Real Life (work, that is) has just pulled a number on my gaming schedule (6 days again, different shift as co-worker is in the hospital with non-serious but time-consuming condition). I'll try again to post tomorrow, but right now, Life is in 5th gear. =)
 
In the meantime, I saw this and (of course!) thought of Sherwood, but I'm sure the rest of you will appreciate it as well:
