[QUOTE="Wolf Rawrrr]First of all, expenses. We are training 7 people (Luna, Wolf, Otiorin, Bronze, Bren, Powerpaw, Bria).
Second of all, we have three items to sell (at least, and assuming we can sell at expected value):

- Large-sized (dwarf-headed) flail +2, worth

9,000 gp

- Large-sized hide armor +2 of movement, worth

3,625 gp

- Large-sized hide armor +2 of movement, worth

3,625 gp

Third, we have acquired 3,500 gp in currency.

Fourth, we should split the profits between Luna, Wolf, Otiorin, Bronze, Kitrin, and Bria. Bren did not participate in the battle and something tells me that Powerpaw isn't attracted to money (I could be wrong).

That leads to the following estimate:

Trainees: 7

Fee per trainee: 700 gp

7 x 700 = 4,900

Total Training Fee: 4,900 gp

Items to sell: 3

Value: (as estimated)

9,000 + 3,625 + 3,625 = 16,250

Total Income: 16,250 gp

Total Gold: 19,750 gp (with the 3,500 gp from the coffer)

Total gold after expenses: 14,850 gp

Applicable party members: 6 (as explained)

Gold split per member: 2,475 gp

As you can see, the Wolf-Approved stamp is there which means this is a certified and potentially binding document *rawrrr*

With this as a guide, we just need to tweak it slightly to get Powerpaw a share and to show the correct fee for our Half-Elf's training.

As for spells, I'll happily purchase Unseen Servant, Detect Undead, and Cat's Grace for a total of 400 gp.

Just a quick game mechanics question; if there was no Trainers nearby, how do you rule that the party level up? Can it still be done, just taking longer?

*watches with popcorn as Otiorin and Luna get ready to mud wrestle for dibs on the spells for sale*

O.K. So I take it you are keeping the rest of the magical gear you found? If so, the numbers look like this:

3,500 gold (in chest)

9,000 (evil flail)

7,250 (both sets of minotaur armor) =

19,750 gold.

Divided by 7 = 2,822 g.p. per person (Bria, Bronze, Kitrin, Luna, Otiorin, Powerpaw, Wolf. Yes, I rounded a gold piece up. =) ).

@All Is that what you want?

Re: "Meager" shop at Travis's Trainers includes many typical and basic items that adventurers like yourselves tend to use. This is a good time to buy arrows, normal weapons, and any normal gear you think you'll need (oil, books, etc.). For example, Powerpaw will be buying arrows for his new bow (and some medium-sized war-hammers to use as throwing hammers).

Oh. Let me roll to see if they have a "little something" I've been keeping in the back of my head. *rolls a 16 on an d20* Yep! There is a stone chess set for sale in the store for 20 gold pieces. It's in great condition. It includes a solid oak box. I'm guessing it weighs about 16 pounds (7.3 kg) total. Anyone want this?

Re: Trainers. In our table-top game, folks don't train without trainers. No college means no higher education; no dojo means no black belt, etc. If you're interested, I'll tell you the why (and anyone in our group here) as to the reasons behind this (in Conversation).

That's the big reason I created Travis's Trainers on the fly here for you - I thought it was unfair for you guys to go through what you just went through with the Bloodland Minotaurs, pell-mell into your next adventure, with no time to memorize, and not enjoy the level you guys have so very handily earned. I want you all to be 7th level for this next adventure - you've earned it. =)

Good to know. Also, Luna is very interested in the chess set. Everything else looks good to me.

Wolf is interested in the chess set as well, but if Luna wants it she can have it. She's gonna end up playing with him anyway :) *woof*

As for other items I don't think I need anything. Picked up plenty of arrows as it is. The gold split is fine by me.

Obligatory innuendo laughter.

Captain Hesperus

Hey guys, I know there's a lot of distractions what with loot and training and all... but at the moment Bren's thinking the party isn't interested in having him tag along. Luna asked about his qualifications, but no one's made any response to his answer, and he's not the sort to just push himself in.

I see your question and raise you a noble quest.

Captain Hesperus

I'm sorry. I thought that I had posted something in response. I suppose that is what I get for having so many games under my belt. Bren is quite welcome to join in, and I'll put up a IC post to that effect soon.

Congratulations, Wayfarers! You are now 7th-level. =)

Yay! *woof*

I'll go and update my sheet now.

Aaaaaand I just realized that with a Wisdom score of 14, my falcon is smarter than me by a slim score of 1 (' :| )

That reminds me of a past game, where our druid enlightened the ranger's squirrel companion (a spell that gave the squirrel human-level intelligence). The squirrel ended up with an Intelligence score higher than almost everyone in the party. ( ;) )

Wise Pecker sez, "Eat fish for long life!" Pecker then closes his eyes and nods in a sage-like fashion.

So, do you want to have Luna's father located in the city up ahead? Just to watch Wolf and Luna squirm with a scene of 'Meet the Parents'?

@All. Re: Horses.

Heya, folks!

At some point during the great battle between the gnoll tribes and Bilal's Menagerie, the health and welfare of your horses came up. Since the Wanderers had been captured, what was the state of their mounts?

On situations where I don't feel comfortable deciding, I let the dice decide for me and go with whatever they come up with. Those dice told me that Wolf's horse was pretty much killed by the gnolls (sorry, Wolf! I rolled low!), but your other horses did not share that fate in part because of Wolf's actions (when he fired on those gnolls). Me being the storyteller I am, I did not forget those mounts (or the feelings some players often invest into them). I felt it might be a good idea for you to have them back somehow. Bren coming up to meet you (from the south from Summerset as he did) made for a perfect way to make it happen.

So, Luna's red roan has returned, as has Felaróf, Otiorin's gray stallion along with their gear. I don't recall Bronze having a mount and neither Powerpaw nor Bria had mounts when you met them.

Just thought you should have a little behind the scenes knowledge of why theses horses are here now. =) As usual, if you have any questions, ask away. =)

Rest assured that neither Wolves have forgotten *howl*

I do have a question besides the point. Is my character able to prepare/pick his two daily lvl 1 spells at this time, or must I wait until next morning?

I never did come up with a name for my horse; perhaps I should rectify that.

Wolf is not able to memorize yet (this typically takes an hour; time the Wanderers do not have). If you had an hour's time (and no one to rescue), then you could choose your two spells (or memorize the same spell twice).

As for horse names, if it were a stallion or gelding, I'd recommend naming it Weonard. =)

As for the spells, I'm in the same boat as Wolf for needing time to memorize new stuff. I just hope that what I have left over from our last fight is enough to get the next step of the job done.

Bria's in the same boat. She spent most of her spells putting Otiorin and Powerpaw back together, so she's far from full strength.

Yeah.

She's really looking forward to getting to know everybody though. She and Powerpaw are still pretty curious about this team they just joined. =)
