Fantasy Asylum for the Supernatural

"Oh..." Flossie murmured, "See, I totally knew that... I did... I promise..." She fell into sleep, her breathing slowing and her grip on his hand loosening. (@DrTrollinski)

He looked at her for a moment and smiled before snuggling up to her and putting an arm over her - He could do with some sleep, so he decided that he'd drift off for a while as well.

**

It was later on into the party that a lot of people had left except George and his father - surprisingly - the old general, and Jack's parents. There were a couple of other drifters there, but not anyone that they'd met.

"Daddy! Please, I wanna' go home now! I'm tired!" George sobbed as he tugged on his father's arm, whom of which was passed out on the couch from drinking way too much. He just fell over and kept on crying - He didn't know who to look for. It was midnight and he assumed everyone was in bed, but he was so, so tired himself. He went upstairs and went into every room until he found the one that Flossie and Jack were sleeping on; he stood at the foot of the bed and carried on sobbing and wiping his eyes. Jack slowly began to awake. (@Fallen from Heaven)

"Mhm. Ow... Stop it... Stop it..." Flossie murmured, "No, you're hurting me. Stop!" She jolted awake, suddenly, "Mhm?" She sat up, abruptly, looking around. Then, she saw the small sobbing boy at the foot of her bed.

"Jack!" she slapped him, "Wake up, you're dealing with this!" (@DrTrollinski)

Jack quickly sat up. ".. Oh--.. Don't hit me next time..." He murmured. He looked down at his watch and then up at George - He could see what the problem was. He quickly got up and went to him. ".. Hey, buddy... What's wrong?" He asked, George was just unable to speak. He leaned forward and hugged Jack - Jack was taken aback, but he lifted him up and then went to sit on the bed beside Flossie again, gently rubbing his back. "Hey, hey... Come on. Calm down. If you keep crying you'll upset me and Flossie... You don't want that, do you?" He said, George shook his head and wiped his eyes and nose on Jack's shirt.

"I--.. I wanna' go home, and--.. But... But my daddy won't wake up..." He whimpered, Jack sighed and rubbed his back. He gave an empathetic look at Flossie and then sighed before looking back to the little guy on his lap.

"Well... I don't think it'd be safe for you and your daddy to drive. Would you both like to stay here?" Jack offered, George thought for a moment but then quickly nodded, sniffling a few times. "If not I can call your mommy... Does daddy have her number?" He asked, George didn't say anything at first.

".. My mommy left me and my daddy alone..." He whispered. Jack instantly felt guilty; he patted him on the head without words and then helped him slip off his shoes; he set him down under the covers in the center of the bed and then watched him shuffle along next to Flossie. ".. Flossie... I didn't make you hurt, did I...?" He whimpered to her, sniffling. Jack gave her 'the look' which said 'don't say yes' - He assumed that she knew that already, though. (@Fallen from Heaven)

"My mommy and daddy keep putting me in hospital..." Flossie muttered, laying back down, "They hate me... And you, you didn't hurt me... S'fine... Can I go back to sleep now?" She closed her eyes and went back to sleep, wrapping one arm around George. (@DrTrollinski)

Jack smiled at her and George for a moment. George looked happier now; he stayed under the blanket and hugged Flossie, shutting his eyes. He was asleep within minutes - he was completely drained of energy and was quick to drift off to sleep; Jack leaned over and kissed Flossie on the cheek. "Goodnight, beautiful." He whispered. He turned the lamps off and then climbed into bed as well, falling asleep. (@Fallen from Heaven)

(You guys okay with a time-skip? I'm going to message you both about it and talk to you about a few things regarding it, if so. @Soul OMU, @Fallen from Heaven)

Time-skip. New date: December 20th, Saturday, 2014.

The month that went by only resulted in more bitter-cold weather, but at least they had each other to keep company in the manor. The same plans went on as they did the previous month - Jack did up to three lessons throughout the day with Flossie in all subjects (One of each vocational one), and even started giving her mock test papers to try out; with her hopefully making more progress, she could have developed as a whole over the course of the month to the point where she felt more 'in control' and capable to take care of things herself. Her mentality would have easily had some sort of impact on it via the lessons, but obviously not to the point where she was a completely different person.

Another occurrence in everyone's lives happened during the month - they all had one of those strange dreams while sleeping. They were, as followed:

Jack: The Trials of Self-Motivation, strength, and will - This enabled him to be more confident in his ideas and made him more mentally positive and able to deal with any sudden turns of events. The Trial of Will enabled him to be a better speaker - the way he worked was more convincing without the need for him to try and pressure people into it - this is something that came to good use when debating things or trying to push people more towards one end of the scales without causing any upset.

Flossie: The Trials of Confidence, Self-Control, and Mental Ability - Flossie's most horrific sequence occurred during this month. She was placed onto a street full of people that were shouting, crying, screaming, fighting, and laughing - the overseer had no 'failure' - She didn't pass until she managed to convince herself which emotion was hers, and which were those around her - when she finally passed, she was able to better control herself when there were a large number of people around, but she was not cured. Her confidence levels increased from the trials by a fair amount, and with the mental ability and confidence became far more capable of making decisions for herself and also developing new skills and other tricks to help her around just about anything - lessons, writing, and relationships. What could be better?

Luke: The Trials of Patience and Acceptance - Luke's new-found ability was the strength of being able to accept the changes around him and the people in his life in a better way. The patience helped him cope with the fact that some things in his life were not able to be achieved just yet, and that sometimes patience is the key to all success.

Clary: The Trial of Acceptance and Fulfilment - Clary woke up with the ability within her to further accept that who she was before was a thing of the past, and also found that she was more capable of accepting change or introductions to new factors in life. The

Better yet. They didn't remember a single thing - All they remembered about the trials was the man in the black robe at the end of each one.

Over the month, Jack also made sure that the household spent more time together. Jack made sure that he became better friends with Clary and Luke, but also ensured that his relationship with Flossie continued to excel so that both he and she were more comfortable with each other with things that they may not have been comfortable about before. He brought her and everyone else out on places around the town so that they all got out and about and spent more time out with different people - Luke and Jack were introduced to a new group of friends when they were hitting the town one day, so that's something that could end up interesting.

**

It was the day of the opening of Jossie Independence. Jack had everyone out on the town and handing out flyers and talking to people (He also encouraged Flossie to do the same, but obviously he stuck with her) - His father had helped them get a license for childcare for their manor, and the CRB checks all came back clean. It was finally coming together, and Jack had had the website fully set up so that the parents and older children could visit it and see what was going on - they also had a little sign-up and email section, but most parents chose to apply their kids' attendance over the phones. He'd got a shipment of instruments like drum sets, guitars, musical keyboards, flutes, etc. all brought in for Jossie Independence entirely - they were kept in the room that had the sliding doors into the back yard alongside one of the grand pianos. For the grand opening he'd also hired a group to come in and perform in the home theater at the end of the day for all the kids.

"Okay... It's all going well! We have everything set up. Now we're just waiting on the food - Clary, Luke - Go help Francis in the kitchen get all of that set up. We've got one hour!" He clapped his hands together and smiled at them before taking Flossie's hand and leading her off into the library area. On the first floor there were several little tables with chairs on them - in the center of each table there was a pot of crayons and a stack of paper. "Oh, Flossie... This is going to be so amazing... You want to work in here with the little ones or do you want to work with everyone today?" He asked, smiling at her as he put one arm around her shoulders and pulled her close. (@Fallen from Heaven, @Soul OMU)

Clary huffed a bit but did as she was told and headed to the kitchen, her hair had grown longer and her ends were no long black but a faint violet. She was dressed in a comfy black sweater with jeans and sneakers, her hair was in two loose pigtails. "Alright Jackie." She said teasing him as she left to the kitchen. (@Fallen from Heaven)
