Fantasy Astrella ~ Other

Nanami

Immediately, she set to work. There were a few things that Nanami had made sure to keep on her person before she became a teacher, and she was glad she had slipped into the habit. Contained on her person were a number of small vials, small apparatuses, gloves - anything of the sort she could use to track, gather clues... In a short and more comical sense, Nanami would have been the equivalent of Batman without the toolbelt. Instead, she was able to reach into reinforced pockets that held these objects, and with a blur of speed, she was at the pock marks that were left behind. From the pattern she could see, it definitely appeared as if it was a hand of sorts, which could have had sharp claws, perhaps, but she couldn't tell from this point. Instead, her lithe hands quickly worked at the cap of one of her vials and, after recording dimensions on the bottle as a reference to the shape, began filling the vials with the earth that was left behind. It could have held residual mana or some kind of DNA to tell what the creature was that had infiltrated.

Next up was the wreckage. Anything that would have appeared to have been burned was quickly contained in specimen bags, with their exact coordinate positions on the field and what piece it was, as well as -from what she could tell, from which unit that was cut down. A sample of the crescent was next, and once she was done with that, she stood from her position and cleared locks of hair from her eyes...

Only to see one of her students.

"Kaleb," she said, eyes still alight, but her voice more cold. Her strides were quick and almost seemed to cover more ground than her tiny frame should have been able to handle as her hands blindly placed the specimens she collected back into her pockets. "Even if your roommate was injured, even if your Goddess said things were fine for now, and even if you were to need help, you were asked to stay within the dormitory premises. This investigation wouldn't have taken long, and if the perpetrator is still here, we now have two more lives at risk at the mo-"

Lu-Dao

There were only a few things that happened after he himself and the rest of the teachers had formulated a plan. Even after the plan was resolved, Lu-Dao's mind was racing at top speed to go through security measures, countermeasures to traps that he was aware of, and a plethora of all sorts of other procedures. He let the tiny teacher Anubis guide him to the treeline that encircled more than half of the field, and even permitted the other Goddess to lay a hand on him.

"Then I think you missed two," Lu-Dao responded to Lyara, pointing over his shoulder with his thumb to the two who had been sneaking onto the field. One of the defenses he had going at the moment was his telepathic abilities - he was keeping his mind fully open to ensure he didn't miss anything while they were heading into the woods. Of course, that had meant that, though they were quiet due to the distance, he was just within range to pick up the two. Still, he would continue to trudge along with the tiny Anubis into the treeline.

Of course, something had to go wrong. Just as they had entered the twenty-foot mark, Lu-Dao would jerk hard on Anubis's hand. If he was successful, he would force the girl to crouch as his body would hunker over hers, Ixian energy exploding from his back in a concussive wave of force and safety for but a moment. What had set him off to do so was a sudden chain reaction of explosions, a murky purplish-black covering the entirety of the forest that surrounded the boarding school and all the land that it held - likely a chain reaction to their presence. The blasts themselves were small, molecular-sized portals that released a smog of energy that would have been at the exact feel and amount as to the portal they were attempting to find, and this event would have made their search entirely irrelevant. It would erase all traces they would be able to follow...

All that mattered at that moment was shielding a comrade.

Nanami

The sudden, ear-bursting eruption of sound from behind her was what cut her off. It was only a few moments that Lu-Dao and Anubis would have entered the Forest that it had gone off, and her body blurred into action. Immediately, her reflexive action was to pull what looked to be an enormous tarp from one of her pockets and, with it in hand, dive towards the students. The dimensions of the tarp would have been enough to cover the children, which would shield them from the splintering debris that hailed from the forest and out into the field from what she could only assume was a trap. If she was successful in covering the children, her body, once the rain of wood, dirt, and rock, would have sprung back up and moved to the treeline of the field.

"Lu-Dao! Anubis!" she called out, not daring to enter the smog in fear of it being a poison. "Answer me! What's your status?!

"Ariana - keep the tarp on the students and get them back to the dormitories immediately!!"

There wasn't much she could do at the moment. One of the things she never had really needed was a mask, but even then, something like this... She wasn't sure it could be filtered. They'd walked into an enormous landmine, and she didn't know if it was severe enough that they would come out of it well. The blast from earlier was almost enough to momentarily deafen her, proof being the heavy ringing that had been coming from inside her ears. If they were alive, she didn't know if she would even be heard.

"Dammit..." She seethed under her breath. "Lyara! Is there something you can do about the smog?! Is it dangerous??"

"Well then I apologize and will take the heat for you. But this is still no reason to leave when the general populous was told to stay in the dorms. And if it isn't that big of a deal and a teacher wast needed why did you all come here?!" She asked in a tone of great concern as Nanami came up beside her and proceeded to scold her own student just before everything went to shit.
------------
Anubis

Anubis glanced back as Lu-Dao pointed to two students that had left the dorms. Not seeing any of them as hers she waited for Lu-Dao to finish before she led him in once more. Casually they strolled in until they hit the 20 foot mark. Then with out warning Lu-Dao had grabbed her and forced her to her hands and knees as he climbed onto her. "L-Lu what are you!?!" She asked in a surprised tone just before the bombs came. Letting out a loud scream from the sudden explosions she curled up tightly under Lu. Bringing her hands to her head as he protected her. Though almost instantly she rolled around under him. Getting into a position to where she was on her back facing him she stuck his arms up into the air on each side of his head. Quickly her eyes turned to a bright glowing Egyptian gold as she concentrated. "Gathorandu!!!!" She yelled out as a golden sphere erupted around the two. The ball wasn't that big but it was just big enough that it circled them completely and left some room to relax and cept them protected against the chaos around them. As soon as the ball was up Anubis dropped her hands to the back of his neck as she laid her head down on the ground panting softly. After taking a second she quickly looked to Lu. "Lu are you alright?!" She asked as worry flooded in her tone quickly she leaned up as best she could putting her head to the right of his so she could try and see what the damage was on his back. She needed to asses it quickly. If it was bad enough she would have to use her powers to get him to a point that he could move on his own, If he wasn't to that point she would do her best to see what was going on and possibly figure out how to get out. Glancing around her temporary force field seemed to be holding for now but she knew they couldn't sit here all day. If the explosions kept going the field would last at most 5 maybe 7 minuets tops. Looking to Lu once more she brought her hands to his face and made him look at her. "Lu. Are you ok?" She asked once more needing an answer from him.

--------------------------
Ariana

Just as the explosions went off her and Nanami both looked to the site behind them. Then Nanami sprung into action. Pulling a tarp from her pockets she threw it over the kids before telling Ariana to take care of them. Without a word she did as she was told and turned to the kids. Putin her self between them and the explosions for added measures she bent down and grabbed the boys. "Lets go! Quickly now you two get inside." She yelled as she herded them in. Once they were inside the school she grabbed the two gently to get there attention. "Look at me both of you. You need to tell me if any other students left the dorms. You need to." She said sternly to them before she looked to Guyle. "Guyle did any other student leave the dorms?" She asked putting the pressure on him since he was his student.

Being the calm, collected and courageous boy that Guyle was, he only had one natural reaction to the insane barrage that sprang into being seemingly out of nowhere. Guyle was a man of calm, peace and an iron will that rendered him incapable of being scare-

"OH HOLY SHIT FUCK A DUCK WHAT THE FUCK CHRIST!?!"

It took Guyle a good few deep, heavy and shaky breaths to calm down whilst he was being herded away by Ariana, his face pale and eyes wild. His mind skipped over the arachnid teacher's previous questions and straight to the most urgent seeming one. Another shaky breath, anither deep exhale. "Ada...da.da.a....." He tried again, a deep breath, a shaky exhale "Ba...".

At long last, a deep, steady breath and an equally steady exhale "I-I dunno about the other dorm rooms.. no one should have left ours, we told them to wait till we got back to go anywhere, left someone in charge of the ones we were worried about..." A thought came to him. Kaleb's phone. He'd never checked it.

"Kaleb... you seemed like you already knew Taylor.... you guys met before?"

Located in the main building on campus, the Morisher Dojo is a relatively large room that is used often by various classes and also boasts the fencing group and other swordplay groups. They hold tournaments with other super-schools both internationally and domestically. At the moment, the Astrella's Fencing Team is top in the nation and second highest ranking in the world. The dojo has been massively upgraded as well, by the school's own Mister Lu-Dao. It was named after a Superhero family that were involved with the debris removal and other cleanup after the OA attack. They are a lesser known family, but they are also a massive benefactor of the school.

((I'll add a picture of it later.))

...and landed in a crumpled heap on the dojo mats. The sickening 'pop' of a dislocated arm was heard and Rakshi nearly cried out in pain when a shadowy hand clamped his mouth shut. "Nuh uh uh." whispered a soft voice. "You ain't giving away our location." He watched as a shadow clone of himself appeared right in front of him and popped his arm back in to place, somehow, without any pain. "Who are you?" he asked. "I am your thoughts. Your conscious. Your feelings. I am you-" the shadow replied, a book titled 'Book of the Dragonhearted' dropping into his hands, handing it to Rakshi. "And I have a gift for you. Give it a read. Hopefully you'll get the hint." With that, the shadow disappeared, leaving Rakshi staring at the book in silence.

Skidding to a halt on the other side, Taylor whirled around to analyze his surroundings. When he didn't see any immediate threat, he turned to the uncharacteristically quiet Rakshi. Although he hadn't known the...Is Rakshi even a guy? Fuck it, I'll ask later. Although he hadn't known the guy for long, the alien's silence was odd and somewhat unsettling. "Hey," Taylor winced at how his voice echoed in the empty dojo, "You alright?" The mage took a moment to really take in his surroundings. The place was obviously loved and cared for. Tilting his head slightly, Taylor tried to listen for any noise. After a moment or two, his attention shifted back to Rakshi. Nothing. That was either very good, or very bad. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

'Book of the Dragonhearted, eh?' Rakshi thought. 'Wonder what this is about?' Opening the book, he found a quick description of the Dragonhearted, along with a list of of people who have been Dragonhearted, how they died, and their titles if any. The Dragonhearted are a linage of the Devil's Seraphs, having exceptionally powerful magic and access to the Gift of the Wyvern, an incredibly powerful ability that allows the user to cloak their wings and weapon in fire. But that was not what caught Rakshi's attention. At the bottom of the list was this.

Ceylo Tsume
Chief of the Devil's Seraphs.
Died protecting his son, Rakshi Tsume.
"No!" Rakshi screamed. "NONONONONONO!! He-he can't be!" Rakshi collapsed on the floor, sobbing. His fists were clenching and unclenching. "IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR!" he screamed, hurling the book into a miniature sun, incinerating it. "Dad... you can't be dead." he croaked, still sobbing.

As soon as she came through the portal she heard all his screaming and yelling and wheeled up to him. Leaning over she roughly grabbed him by the neck of his shirt and pulled him up. "Your done! you here me! get back through the portal now and stay. In. That. Room." She snapped at him before she forcefully pushed him towards the portal. As an extra little measure a small push of force of her powers against his back to see if she could trip him through the portal maybe. Sending one last glare his way she then turned to Taylor. "Lets go quickly." she said before looking back to Rakshi. "Rakshi im serious. You better stay in that damn room or i swear to god." She said sternly as she glared at him one more for added measures. Rakshi was shoved through the portal, it spat him back out, and slammed him into the ground. So far, so not good. "You know what!? Screw it." Rakshi got up, brushed himself off, and stormed away. Or, at least he started to, when shadow Rakshi appeared, grabbed his hand, and pulled him back. "No no no. The door is locked. You'll never get out that way." it said. "You again." Rakshi spat. "Indeed. Me again." "What do you want?" "Oh, feisty are we? But don't worry. I'm only here to help." His clone lunged at him, wrapping him in a cocoon of shadows. Rakshi immediately started thrashing and howling in pain. But after a few seconds, he went silent. Then the cocoon exploded. And emerging from the explosion was none other than Rakshi, his six wings fully grown.

Yeah... they were in trouble. Darn it... His teacher was even scarrier like this. Was she actually scary before? Oh, who was he kidding... they could all probably be extra scary when they're mad. They were the real deal, after all. He frowned, looking down in shame. He just wanted to make sure his roommates were safe, but he had gotten them in trouble. He had thought, ridiculously, that it'd be a good idea to go out here and tell them about something so little compared to what they were doing. In doing so, he'd even gotten Guyle mixed in.

Kaleb sighed inwardly, covering his face with his hands. He was going to apologize more and try even harder to get Guyle out of trouble, but there was hardly time to do so. Before he could even think, explosions were going off. Everything was calm before! Now this?? What were they supposed to do with this? Why didn't his goddesss warn him?!

Right. Look at this rationally... at least as rationally as you can with adrenaline coursing through you. He was shaking like a leaf. The tarp over top of them made it so that they didn't get hit by any debris... but he was pretty sure he'd be hearing ringing for a least a little while. Was Guyle alright? Were the teachers alright? He'd distracted them. Was that the reason for this? Did they not noice something that they otherwise would have?

He realised when Guyle began to speak that he had been quiet. He wasn't much of a screamer, really. He was scared, of course, but it wasn't going to help anything to scream out. Kaleb looked at him and the teacher with wide eyes, nodding a little, "Ah... I... Not really. I don't know anyone here from before the exam. What does that have to do with anything?" He looked at the teacher, taking out his phone in the meantime, "No one should be out of the dorms. Let me ask."

Hey, we're leaving the dorm to look for Chiara's sister. I'll update you with where we are. Sorry we didn't stay where it's safe.

Lyara rolled her eyes at Lu-Dao's comment of missing a couple. Right. Of course. They got here after she did, and had to have come from the dorms, so they had to leave after she did. She wasn't fast like Nanami was, and she also didn't teleport. She folded her arms as she looked around, watching the kids getting herded off for a moment by Ariana and somewhat by Nanami.

All things couldn't go that well though. As she started walking towards the forest to see if she could catch up with Lu-Dao and Anubis, quite the series of energy bombs went off. So much for them not trying to hurt anyone. Instinctively a simple shield went up, making it so she could still hear despite her proximity. Her head turned to the children first. Good. Nanami had them covered. Of course she did. She was on top of that shit.

Her head swiveled back to the forest. Lu-Dao. Anubis. Crap. It didn't seem to do much to the trees, so the main problems were the sound and of course the smog. Lu-Dao had his mask... plus his breath was probably more dangerous than whatever this gas was. Anubis was more of a concern... but she was a goddess. No point in worrying about her either. The main thing was going to be this smog expanding, harming anyone who happened to be outside. She took a breath to calm herself and held out her hands, light turquoise energy emanating from them.

After a moment, a large bubble of the same color cupped the area. It was thin, but was airtight. None of this would get anywhere else. Unfortunately, she was too focused on this barrier to do much anything else. Still standing with her hands outstretched, she looked to De'kiral, "Get the two of them out of there. We can get them to the nurse if need be." Her head turned to Nanami, "I have no clue if it's poisonous. Call a clean-up crew. Once we can be sure nothing else is going to go off, we need this smog dealt with, and I can't stand here all day. I have probably have about an hour max if nothing distracts me, but this won't hold any more explosions."

De'kiral didn't care much whether or not the kids had disobeyed. They didn't seem to be a part of his lot, so it wasn't a very big deal... at least for him. He was far worse on his first day anyways. He thought about this as he watched both small groups go to either side. One to the trees to investigate, the other to the children to herd them back to their dorms. He, again, wasn't the best person ever for this whole investigation thing. While dragons could definitely be precise and fine with what they did... he was not one of those dragons.

The bombs went off, however, and almost immediately (save for a strong wince as his sensitive ears started to ring horribly), he shifted. The sound of the shift was lost in the blast, but he was suddenly quite large again. He growled low, watching as Lyara listened to Nanami and put up the barrier. Good. He was already on the case before Lyara had spoken to him, however.

He called out mentally to Lu-Dao and Anubis, a bit louder than he might have needed to, {Lu-Dao! Anubis! I am moving you from your position. Do not move yourselves.} He had a pretty good idea of where they stood before the smog and debris clouded his view, so that was where he aimed. In a large circle, the grass seemed to come alive underneath them. This grass then, same as it had done for Ariella before on a smaller scale, swallowed them up as gently as he could manage.

As though growing from the ground, if they had listened to his mental shouting, they would rise up from the grassy portal. {Do either of you need to go to the healer? Are you both alright? Anubis, you didn't inhale too much of that smoke, right?} He had to stop himself, keeping the questions to a minimum. He crossed the short distance to them and sat, eyes darting around just in case, his head far above them.

The worst of the blasts were over. He had shielded Anubis from the concussive forces of them, and....

He could feel his brow furrowing. Things were quiet. The blasts were over. He could feel the vibrations in the air finally settling down, the physical snap of the shield around them, and the stillness of the ground. It was over, but... As Anubis was supposedly talking - maybe quietly babbling?, Lu-Dao reached up with his right hand to his ear and snapped his fingers once. Twice. Three times. Then his hand touched the side of his head and, as it withdrew, he could see a smearing of blue blood that was nearly black in its hue.

He was deaf. He'd have to use his psychic skills much more from now on unless he was healed, but he didn't figure this would be dealt with so easily.

With a sigh, Lu-Dao sat back to give Anubis room and showed her his fingers, then touched the side of his head to denote he'd be speaking mentally.

"Deaf now. Can't discern any energy difference in the forest. Doesn't feel like anything died. I'm assuming the explosions covered the entrance portal the suspect used."

As quickly as he had said that, he could hear De'Kiral's announcement as well as see Lyara's attempt at staving off the smog, and, in the same instant, felt his body move through space while swallowed up by large, tall patches of grass. It was a strange sensation, to be sure. He'd never experienced Nature magick in such a way, and once they were outside the forest and near De'Kiral, he made a mental note to figure out just how exactly he had pulled off what was basically movement via nature.

"Deaf now." Came Lu-Dao's response to De'Kiral as he watched Nanami blur off towards the main campus. It was likely she was given orders to pull the clean-up crew or to snag Astrella, so for now, he'd stay here. "I can still communicate. Not the first time I've done something deaf, but it's definitely unpleasant."

As if to accentuate the fact, Lu-Dao's more dour expression had seemed to denote a look of pain behind it. Even though it was the second time he had felt this, it had been quite a number of centuries between now and then, and the fact someone had rendered him deaf without them even being here was insulting to say the least. Even he himself couldn't stave off the almost instinctive Ixian pride his people used to feel. Strong as he was, this only proved he wasn't invincible. He still had mortal limitations. He could still be wounded like anyone who wasn't a deity or something far more mythic than himself - considering the fact he didn't think of his race as Mythic. They had energy manipulation, to be sure, but they could still die from dismemberment and any other way a human could be felled. They just didn't have the immediate concern of aging.

Still, this wasn't the time to dwell on it.

"Soon as Nanami returns and, what I'm assuming, the clean-up crew or Astrella herself arrives, we'll need to head into the forest again. I'll take up mid position and use psychic abilities - we'll need to make sure the suspect didn't leave anything behind, even if I'm sure any trace of their entrance is gone now."

(Sorry if the post sucks. Just assume Nanami is heading off to gather the clean-up crew and maybe snagging Astrella's attention while she's at it. Daniel Reaving Daniel Reaving Deathkitten Deathkitten )

Taylor could tell that something was wrong by his roommate's silence; so when Rakshi finally broke the silence with grotesque screaming, he wasn't caught completely off guard. Covering his ears in a attempt to protect himself from the piercing noise, Taylor grimaced. What set him off this time? He couldn't even begin to guess, but this random and unpredictable behavior was making it extremely difficult for Taylor to put faith in his roommate, much less like him. The blond wasn't sure what to do, but he was spared from making a decision when Chiara finally came through the portal. The girl gave Rakshi a few scathing remarks then turned her attention to Taylor, "Let's go quickly." Chiara spat out a few more things at Rakshi, was that Spanish? I'm pretty sure 'stupido' is Spanish..., before turning to leave. The blond didn't bother to check if Rakshi had listened or not, he had better things to do than babysit, and followed Chiara. He had barely gone a few feet when the alien let out another deafening shriek. Slapping his hands over his ears once more, Taylor distinctly felt the chill of the knife's metal against his skin. Murder is illegal, murder is illegal, murder is illegal...

Growling darkly, Taylor whirled around only to be greeted by a transformed Rakshi. Oh great, the blond thought dryly, He's transformed into a bigger nuisance. His eyes drifted towards a dark figure, causing him to instantly shift into survival mode. When did he get here!? Sliding in front of Chiara, Taylor pointed his small knife at the figure, "Who the hell are you!?" Tense and ready to launch an attack, the blond's eyes flickered from the figure to Rakshi. As much as the creature's existence pissed him off, he couldn't let him die. Letting his gaze settle on the newcomer, Taylor bent his knees in preparation. I need to get between them!

Chiara

She was ready to kill Rakshi. Absolutely ready to kill him as he screeched out causing both her and Taylor to turn to him as he grew wings and a copy of him formed by him. Sighing as Taylor leapt in front of her. "Honestly Taylor lets just go. If he want to come along fine but none of us are responsible for when Ariella eats him for a snack." Chiara said coldly as she grabbed Taylors shirt and gently pulled on it once or twice to get his attention. Then she turned around and went to the door. Stopping at it she gently tugged at the handle only to find it locked. "Fanculo." She cursed before she sighed and rubbed her temples a little. Then after a second she brought her left hand to the lock on the door. Gently she pressed her hand to it and closed her eyes. Concentrating in on the mechanism of the door she tried to get it to unlock but to no avail. Immediately she growled and banged her hand against the door. "SCOPATA LA PIZZA DI Dio, cazzo, dannazione!" She cursed loudly as she backed up a little. Glaring at the door she thrusted her hands out and an instant groaning of the door as she tried to break it down. For over a minuet she attacked the door with telekinetic blasts. By the time she was done she was exhausted. Backing up a tiny bit more she spoke. "I can sense Ariella. Shes near.... And she isnt happy. We need to get out and find her."

Anubis

Anubis watched as Lu-dao snapped at his ear with concern on her face. Though before she could see the blood on his hand the ringing set in hard on her ears bringing a grunt of pain. Her being in the blast itself with Lu though not taking the full force like lu had she had only been temporarily fully deaf and now it was just horrid ringing. Hearing Lus words in her head she nodded in understanding. Then when De'Krails announcement came out she looked around. When the plants started to eat them up she jumped a little. Ending up clinging to Lu as they were transported out and to the field. once there Anubis stood and looked around before turning to the guys and speaking to there minds. "Lu is hurt badly, hes definitely deaf at least. He needs to see the nurse." She told De'Kiral before she looked back to the forests. Seeing Lyara holding back the smog she pushed the ringing and pain she felt a side and ran over. Coming to Lyara's right she took a position beside her and held out her hands. Unknowing to Anubis was that here ears were also bleeding. The shinning gold blood slowly trailed down the sides of her head as she reinforced Lyara's shielding to help take any strain that was there so it was easier for bot of them to hold it till the cleanup crew got to them. "What do you think it is?" Anubis asked softly referring to the smog on the other side of the barrier.

Ariana

Ariana let out a stressed sigh when she was told by the boys that others had left there dorm. Groaning a little she nodded and collected her thoughts before speaking. "ok ok ok." She said softly before looking around. "Alright. You two go back to your dorm do you hear me." She said pointing a finger at each of them. "both of you promise me." She asked them softly. Sending each a commanding glare she then stood up tall and looked around before sighing. "either that or you both help me find the other students who left and ill see what I can do about lessening whatever punishments are imposed upon you two." She said to them hoping they would help cause honestly. She had now clue where they could go. None of the ones they spoke of where of her classes so she had no clue what could drive them to leave besides finding this other student named Ariella.

A.K.A BullWhip
A deep breath, even now he was shook. Bullethound and taught him how to deal with stress, how to fight, how to keep calm and how to keep fighting when he couldn't keep calm. But it was all practice. He'd been shot at a hundred times. But the bullets were rubber. He'd been struck a thousand times. But the strikes were with training weapons. Even now, after so much, the worst pain he'd ever truly felt was the first time he'd used his power. When every bone broke. When every tendon split and screamed, howled and roared in argument.

That was his worst pain, a pain he'd never feel again. And that sent him into panic. Now, his ears still rang a little, his mind felt clouded, hazy as his heart raced. Every breath hurt, like sand scratching lines down his throat.

IT WAS TOO MUCH

IT IS TOO MUCH

Then he felt it, through the pain, through the screaming in his mind. A voice. Louder than the screaming. Sharper than the pain. Harsher and rougher than both combined.

SHUT UP! GET MOVING! YOUR WORK ISN'T DONE!

"A-B-A...." The heartbeat slowed, the haze faded. It wasn't too much. He could manage this... he could... he couldn't...

"I'm... I'm just a child... but I, well... I can help... Ms Zella, I don't know about Kaleb, but I can get around faster than you... can cover more ground... I umm, could go to the doors, make sure nobody else leaves, check ours, see if there's anyone left so we can figure out where they've gone... The teachers that were near that big explosion... are they okay?..." His voice wavered, shaking and bouncing from shaky nervousness to determined statements with each pause.

The walls and floor of the dojo rumble with just enough force to cause concern as a series of blasts rip through the forest to the East. It was loud - incredibly loud even with the distance between yourselves and the blast.

~Taylor Walker~
Any hesitance Taylor had at leaving Rakshi behind to follow Chiara was erased when the ground below him shook. The previous quiet of the dojo was violently shattered by the sound of explosions. Fuck! Belatedly, he wished that Serena was here. Too late for that. Glaring at the door Chiara had tried to open, the blond stormed up to it. Shoving his weight into the door with no avail, he squatted in order to examine the lock. Damnit. This is better than those shitty Walmart ones. Making a little tsk sound, Taylor considered shoving his knife into the locking mechanism and hope for the best. That'd probably just make things worse. Glancing around the dojo as he straightened back up, he asked Chiara, "Hey, do you know how to use a weapon?" While he doubted that the school kept guns in stock, he thought that it would be safe to assume that they had archery equipment or swords. Letting his gaze fall back onto Chiara, he frowned. Unless they have a cross bow or a hand gun, she'll have a hard time wielding it. His eyes drifted down to the knife in his own hand. He hadn't wanted to use his powers yet, but now that there was no doubt that they were in danger he was willingly to risk corporal damage. Now is as good of a time as any. Careful not to make a serious cut, Taylor made a large enough incision on his arm to allow his blood to flow freely.

Tearing his eyes away from the sight of his own blood, he held out the stained knife to Chiara. "Take it, you might need it." For a moment, he broke the tense atmosphere with a smile and a wink, "Just be sure to give it back hon." Feeling his magic move through his veins, the blood dripping onto the floor slowed to a stop before reversing direction. Taylor held his blood in the air before him. He'd need a bit more before he could form a usable weapon, but he felt confident that the doors to the dojo would give them enough warning of any intruders. Belatedly, he remembered his phone. With his uninjured arm, he fumbled in his dress's pocket before successfully pulling out his phone. Opening it up, he sent a few texts to Fay and Kaleb to warn them of the attack. Too bad I don't have anyone else's. Satisfied, he securely placed his phone back into his pocket before turning his gaze back to the door. What a way to start the school year...

If you're in the dorms, get everyone together and STAY THERE. We're under attack but Kaleb's getting help. Stick together and you should be fine.

Okay... So this wasn't great... He took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment, trying not to let Guyle's panic get to him. When Kaleb opened his eyes he looked to his phone again. More messages... Of course...

Of course. Of course of course of freaking course. He shook his head and looked at the spider teacher again, showing her the phone once more. "Well... I know where they are now..." he said sheepishly, "The dojo. They probably thought they could get weapons there to defend themselves. If they're stuck, then that means that we know... pretty much exactly where they are."

He looked down, embarrassed about this whole thing, "The other teachers are gonna be fine right...? We didn't... we didn't get anyone hurt... did we? We... we wouldn't have come if we knew that this was all this dangerous." Kaleb shook his head, "I'll go to the dojo with you if you want. I'll tag along to help."

Very short post! Sorry!

Ariana

Seeing the text messages instantly Ariana sighed softly. Knowing the two where starting to panic she took action. Gently she pulled the two kids close and made them look at her as she got down to there level. Making the two look at her she spoke. "Hey both of you do not worry. Everything is fine and none of this is your fault. Im here alright and nothing is gonna happen to you two." She said before looking to Kaleb. "This isn't your fault if any teacher is hurt. If they are they would have been hurt either way, But most of them are very strong so they are gonna be ok alright. Just. Do as your instructed from now on alright. Cause I can guarantee this isn't gonna be a one time occurrence. So just make sure you follow what your told. We teachers are here to protect you all." She explained to ease there nerves before she took a step back and stood up tall again. "Now you two are coming with me ok. Stay close and don't stray off no matter what goes on alright. We are gonna get the others." She told the two in a gentle calming tone. Behind the tone though she was freaking out. Sure she had gone through stuff like this before as a substitute. But for some reason the knowledge that she was an actual teacher now just seemed to add unneeded weight on her shoulders. Still she knew she had to be calm for the sake of the students she was with and that's what she did.

"Alright guys lets go. The Dojo isn't far from here. We can get there quickly and get the others." She said as she looked down the hall that would lead them to the dojo. Looking back to the students she gave them a confident nod. "lets go. You two go in front of me. If anything happens it will be easier to keep you out of danger that way." She informed them before gesturing for them to go on. When they started to move she followed quickly behind as they headed for the dojo, Directing the two which turns to take to make sure they stick together.

Fay:

Finally time for lunch. After the class had calmed back down and their time in the room had ended, Fay had gathered his things and headed out. He was absolutely starving at this point, having woken up so early in the morning to prepare and eat, and he was about to waste no time in shoving food down his gullet to sate himself the moment he had the chance. So, as he picked up where he left off in one of his books, nose buried in it yet still avoiding all the students as if he had a sense of omnipresence, Fay found himself just a few minutes later in line and waiting, picking up one of the large trays with an invisible hand. At first, he didn't notice the Dryad who had been speaking, but instead only heard the instruction and lined up where it seemed everyone was heading.

Instead of reading his book, which he held out to the side of him, Fay found himself looking over the food listed on the board more intensely. If the woman could make a vegetarian version of a Kobe beef burger that tasted like Kobe beef, he'd do more than just take his hood off to her, considering he didn't have a hat. Still, burger, pizza, and a salad was definitely something that sounded like a meal to him, and the side of tomato soup would polish it off nicely before tea. Sweet tea was out of the question: usually people got the tea too sweet, and it didn't taste as good hot as it did cold, which ruled it out anyway since he was in the mood for hot tea. So was it going to be Green, Chai, or Oolong?

The thing about Green tea itself was that the aftertaste depended on if it was steamed or not. Steamed Green Tea usually had a bittersweet aftertaste, and though it was usually somewhat relaxing to simply sip slowly, he wasn't interested in bittersweet until he went to sleep. The problem with Chai was that it absolutely had to have some level of sweetness, or the robustness of the spices in chai, which was usually served with cinnamon, cardamom, and a few other spices to bring out the flavor, wouldn't be fully brought out. Which left Oolong tea - but did they have the right kind? Personally, Fay was the QingXiang Oolong type, and enjoyed the freshness that came along with the normal sweet, fragrant aftertaste, and if he was going to have tea, he wouldn't bend on the kind of tea that it was - down to the sweetener, which was honey. Honey was mellow enough and still had a fragrance that blended well with the QingXiang Oolong while staying just sweet enough if it was a single teaspoon to bring all the tastes together into one happy, relaxing sip.

But now he was up at the front of the line and had lost track thinking about his tea. How long had he been standing there? What exactly was he going to order again? Fay frowned and tugged on his hood a little in nervousness as he scrambled to recall. Of course, it took a few seconds, but afterwards, he set himself, turned to the woman who he could now tell was a scantily clad Dryad, lost his nerve, looked down, and stuttered his order instead.

"U-Uh," he started, trying to not look at her. Damn pubescent body. "C-Could I ge- erm... Is there a vegetarian option for the burger? And... cheese stuffed crust pizza, tomato soup, roasted b-beet salad with balsamic, a-and uh... A QingXiang Oolong tea with honey..?"

He gave the information that she would need, paid if he needed to, and quickly made his way away to find a seat. After plopping down, Fay stared down at his book with somewhat of a blush on his face. Do they really let staff walk around like that?? he wondered to himself.

She's a looker, eh? Got a crush? Came the voice from before class once more. She's a little too old for you, ain't she? I mean, I'm not going to judge you for your tastes, but man - she's a cougar if she goes for you.

Oh shut up! he mentally retorted. That'll teach the disembodied weirdo. I-I was just... I was caught off-guard! That's all!!

Hey, I'm just saying, having a crush on the lunch lady isn't a bad idea - at least you'll always be fed! was the last comment the voice had, cackling at the end before seeming to disappear for the moment.

Yeah. Caught off guard by an attractive, scantily clad woman with green skin, more luscious locks than he thought her scalp could hold, and curves that would've had a catholic monk whipping himself for committing a mental sin.

Now, to calm him down, Fay was going through the motions of putting logic and reason to all of this. Considering Dryads were a mix of human and plant, it was theorized by some that the need for skin to show was a simple matter of photosynthesis, but of course, the last book he read on Dryads were so old that the obvious answer would have been found by now: It was just more comfortable, photosynthesis or not. The fact of the matter was that the woman was outside of what would stereotypically be her natural habitat, but instead in a sterile cafeteria that would have been comically polar if he wasn't trying to be rational.

A few minutes more of this, and he finally found himself calm and reading again, the incident out from his mind.

Tsunami

There was no way he could concentrate in class after the text had went out. Tempest's imposter had gotten out. Maybe they caught the wrong imposter? What if there were multiple imposters riding on the coat-tails of the infamy? It pissed him off. Tsunami had sat with his fists balled and jaw clenched for the rest of the class, and even after he had left, taking only what he brought with him in a pack on his back to the cafeteria. He didn't notice the people he bumped into as he went along, making them drop things or snap at him for his "clumsiness," or even fall over entirely. He didn't know and he didn't care. If Tempest's imposter was out there, he had to find the bastard, and that meant he couldn't waste much more time here.

He'd have to figure out an exit plan.

The too obvious solution was that he could use his power over water to slow his fall - pull all the water from all the pipes and reserves in the school out of their place to soften his landing and make a break for it. Of course, Lu-Dao would hunt him down before he could even take a step off the edge of the school, so that was out. His second idea was to disappear when a field trip came around... which wouldn't really work out if they didn't allow delinquent students to go on field trips. If he tried causing a ruckus, he'd likely just be locked up. The only problem with that not being out of the question is that there was an escape, and if the villains in Victoria could do it, since that'd be the logical place to lock up an imposter, then of course anyone could do it in another facility given enough thought and ingenuity.

Only that would make him a villain, and unless he was good enough to get some kind of pardon, that wasn't going to end well.

Tsunami snarled under his breath as he thought about that, stomping into place in line and waiting for his turn to order. Obviously he gave a quick glance to the menu, decided it was far too posh, settled on pizza and soda, and after quickly giving his order, name, and where he was going to sit, he stomped off towards one of the tables the furthest back and slung his bag into another seat before dropping himself in another. Dark thoughts began to swirl in the Brisbanian's mind as he crossed his arms and stared at the table. What would he do if he saw the imposter? If he had a chance to bring the same level of pain that Tempest must feel right now for being labeled a villain? Would he drown them? bleed them out slowly? Break their limbs and rip their nails out?

No.

He'd go much farther than that. There'd be nothing left of himself after it, he was sure. There was no way Tsunami could see himself being anything but a monster after he would wreak such havoc and agony on another person. It wasn't human to do so. He would be so much more than a simple villain, but...

But it would be worth it.

Lu-Dao

The text that had went of in his class had stirred something in the students. Panic, worry, anger.... Especially anger in one of his delinquent students. The boy was going to be an issue. The look of fury on his face was something that Lu-Dao had only seen in those who demanded vengeance for a fallen brother in Arms, and in his opinion, it was heartbreaking to know that a child could make such a face. Though his outside appearance gave nothing away, it made his blood run cold. A student of his was in pain - the kind of pain that changes a person to something that couldn't be recognized, and for now, all he could do was watch and wait. If he was going to be honest about it, that was the hardest part about being someone's Mentor or Sage: you couldn't do anything until someone made a move. You couldn't stop something before it happened. You had to be cautious and wait for the right opportunity.

He couldn't dwell on it forever, though. Instead, once class was over and the students had time to get in line, Lu-Dao would finish off the snack that he had been eating throughout class and move to the cafeteria.

Now, when someone says move, they expect there to be a motion that occurs. Using one's legs to move to a door, for instance, walk out of it, and head towards their intended destination if they had one. Instead, it was as if that entire sequence had been cut from existence, and instead showed him suddenly in another place in back of the line. He could see Tsunami far ahead of him, and the rage that was quietly seeping from his every pore. He watched as the teenager simply regurgitated his request, then mechanically moved to a seat and went entirely still.

He was thinking.

Once it was Lu-Dao's turn, he looked the woman up and down, then back towards the menu, pointed to it, and spoke.

"I would like all of it," he said. "I already know how much it'll cost."

With that said, Lu-Dao produced his wallet and paid in advance, thanked her and nodded, then went off to sit where he could keep a clear line of sight of all the students. There wasn't much for him to do now other than review what happened in class, and he could do that quietly to himself. No need for any paper, utensils - he was trained enough to keep what he was making note of in rote memory, and did so as he kept a vigilant eye out for anything that could possibly happen.
