Fantasy AS WE WANDER- Voyage Of The Tigers Eye

Sage gave a nod as he let Pingo rest himself comfortable on his shoulders. He followed Anwen and Xull through the tavern, 'accidentally' brushing against the bar maid who stared at his leather satchel and owl with questioning eyes. When he slipped the golden coin into her hands, a look of realization dawned on her face. She gave him a solemn nod and an almost sad smile before trudging off to service the other customers.

Xulls stride was quick and light as she b lined to the docks. She had no need to weave through the crowd, something she was secretly smug about. She was abnormally tall for a Drow. that, along with her authoritative and dangerous aura, was what parted the crowd before her. She was Tenchiik and they were her Vilayet Sea. However she could not enjoy the small novelty of their caution and fear. Not with the promise of a furious captain awaiting her back at the ship. Being the first mate had its perks, yes. Private quarters and better food, drink and a larger cut of plunder. But she was always the first one to get flack for trouble on the ship. And this...new group addition to the crew was going to cause plenty of it.

The cook was going to have a fit, now that his cushy position was going to be given over to the girl. She would need to be placed with anwen if Xull wanted to prevent....problems with the more aggressive males on the ship. Xinn shouldn't be much of an issue, but he was interesting enough that she planned to keep an eye on him.

Thank Serpear for small mercies.

At least they finally had a cabin boy.

Xinn watched as Xull began to walk away from him in a hurried manner, he tried to stifle his laugh about the whole bird poop thing. It wasn't working very well because he would cackle every now and again. Xull at least didn't hear him, so his life continues another day. *Hahaha!* He got up and began following his new head of command, she wasn't going to be an easy woman to listen to. But she'd be an interesting one. He took another puff of his pipe before quickly catching up beside her, with a huge grin on his face. This was going to be fun. He eyed the new cook to be, following a bit at ways behind, looking a little lost. Her nativity was cute, though she seemed to be the type to be hard to get. Just the way Xinn liked it. He looked ahead of him again, with his arms behind his back.

Jeanne watched as the other returned, watched the banter between Anwen and Xull and couldn't help laughing lightly about the situation. As the others rose to their feet and started to make their way toward the door, she slowly stood up and followed behind them. She found this crew of people to be rather on the rough side, which wasn't that new to her, but this was a different kind of rough than she had experienced. While in her Master's care she had been at the mercy of both men and women who dabbled in violence behind the scenes of a pristine lifestyle, these people, perhaps not the boy, appeared to live that way day in and day out without any facade of being any other than cutthroats. She was curious as to what new things she would encounter with these people and the thought of seeing new places and doing new things excited her, regardless of the possible dangers that could be waiting for them she was genuinely excited at the idea of what they were setting out to do.

Anwens grin was back in full blown radiance as she strolled along after Xull, humming a lively little shanty as she fed brando a slice of a mango shed filched from a nearby fruit stand. Things were mostly quiet for the short walk to the docks, grinning when they approached the ship she had been admiring earlier, the glow of first light shimmering on her ornately painted sails.

Xull found her foul mood dwindling as the promise of salt and sea calmed the storm within her. With all the pieces of the map recovered, the itch...the urge had changed its gentle tune, replaced by an aching pull that only drew attention to the ocean shaped hole in her soul. She needed to feel the heady, humid breeze on her face again, to watch the rolling waves ultimately fade out from the wakes of the ships path. Shed be taking five to six bells in the crows nest and rigging watch the stars while the tigers eye was on open ocean.

"there she be. De Tiguhs Eye." She said to the her companions just as a voice shouted from the deck.

"OI! Qartermaster! Where you be findin these sad sacks o chum!?"

"Chum dey may be, Mista Simmons."she smirked as they lowered the ramp. "but ye filthy whoremutts be in charge O breakin dem in."

The delicate, dim shades of peach and orange lit up the darkened sky like a newly lit lantern in an empty shack. As if fearful of the new light, the grey clouds began to evaporate into Oblivion, leaving the hued skies as bright as they could possibly be. But the thick, opaque fog remained, as if a curse lay among the waves. A magnificent ship sit docked by the bay, rocking ever so slightly with the water rolling underneath it. It's bright sails swooshed and flapped with the wind, which began to grow increasingly stronger by the minute.

The sunlight drifted into the back end of the ship, peering through the tainted glass windows and into a bold, beautiful room. The rays of golden light illuminated the small dust specks floating by, along with a wooden desk that sat near the middle of the room. A woman sat at that desk, her elbows resting comfortingly on the arm rests beside her. A huge, monstrous bird sat on its wooden perch near the window, sitting completely still and staring forward. Her entire silhouette remain hidden by the shadows, her head pointed downwards at the floor. Suddenly, her hand poked out from the shadows, a shiny red apple resting in her palm. The woman rolled it around between her fingers, digging her nails into its delicate skin and watching the juices slip down the side. The light from the sun reflected off of the fruit for a moment before she pulled her hand back. A deafening crunch could be heard as a bite was taken from the apple. Chewing slowly and swallowing, the woman slammed the bitten apple onto the desk, causing the monstrous bird in the corner to rustle its white feathers in alarm.

A smile crept onto her blood red lips, a small yet mocking laugh escaping through her teeth. Still consumed in the shadows, the woman rose from her seat. At that motion, the bird swooped from its perch, and landed on her shoulder.

"It be another fine day, me Alvis. I can already smell the tides beginnin' to change," The woman's fingers scratched the side of the mighty eagle's head, a soft piping noise coming from the bird. The woman's eyes remained closed, a sickening smile on her lips.

"Or is it the smell of freshmeat I be sensin'..."

The woman's eyes suddenly shot open, the brightness of her one orange eye illuminating the darkness like a newborn ember. The eagle let out a deathly scream, piercing the ship's silence immediately.

A deafening, aggressive bird call could be heard throughout the decks of the ship, rattling the floorboards from the intensity of the sound. The men chattering among themselves froze, as if in fear, and instantly began dispersing to there duties.

"The captain! She has awakened, Quartermaster-" The man next to Xull began to say, but he was cut off as a loud slam could be heard from the Captain's quarters. The crew stopped in their places, watching the wooden doors being smashed open. A dark figure stood in the doorway, the intimidating clunk, clunk, clunk of the woman's boots echoing across the wooden floor as she stepped out into the open. The men standing closest to the woman began to take a few steps back, staring at the figure who was now visible. The light of day illuminated her blood red hair, and an almost deathly aura drifted around the woman. Raising her gaze, her orange and blind eyes scanned across the deck of the ship slowly, staring at each and every man as if they were lunch.

"WHAT ARE YE STARIN' AT?! Get back to work!" The woman suddenly boomed with a fierce tone in her voice. The eagle on her shoulder flicked it's head from side to side, eyeing the men aggressively. A few of the men jumped at her outburst, and began nodding their heads rapidly.

"Aye, captain."

They said in almost perfect unison, beginning to get back to work. Without even a smile or a flicker of emotion through her gaze, Killian Baltazar looked in the direction of Xull, and nodded as if giving her a silent order. With slow, careful strides, the captain turned and began walking down the ramp that led to the docks. Stepping onto the dock, she walked towards the newcomers with a now sickening look on her pale face. A few of them hadn't noticed the mighty captain coming up from behind, and the huge bird let out a huge squawk to alarm them.

"Get in a line. Ye in the presence of your new captain, and it be best not to show me a bad impression, mates. I'll have ye ass thrown overboard into the depths of Davy Jones." Killian growled while placing her hands behind her back. When they had lined up with their front sides facing her, the captain paced past them, looking them up and down individually. Suddenly, she threw her head back in a fit of laughter, pretending to wipe a tear away from the corner of her eye.

"Oh, how this sight brings me joy." She chuckled in an almost sarcastic tone, a sickening smile spreading across her lips at each of the new crew members. She stopped there for a second, staring at each one of them before letting out another outburst.

"What makes ye think you have what it takes to be aboard my ship, eh?" She snarled, slipping an apple out of her pocket and biting into it. Stopping in front of Sage, she eyed him from the side before swiveling to face him. She stepped towards him until her face was inches from his. Leaning down, her lifeless blind eye stared straight into his.

"You, young man. Tell me yer name."

The captain had barely finished her commanding nod before Xull turned her head to the men and stormed up the stairs to the quarter deck, snarling like the rabid bitch they justifiably called her in private. "ye heard de captain! Store de ramps an let loose de sails ye scuverous pack o cunnys!!" She watched the men scurry like cockroaches to their posts with a somewhat demented expression, and the formerly newest member yelped like a kicked pup when she sent that gaze directly at him. "get ye arse te de crows nest befoa I loose me whip upon it!"

Anwen was in a daze. It was as if heaven itself had opened up in that blessed moment where the captain first came into view, the sea breeze feathering her fire and brimstone locks about her head. Aaahhh her eyes, one was blind to be sure, milky and speaking of its loss in the glorious tidings of battle, and the other was the very essence of the purest gold.

Her very presence was that of an angry, goddess of war come to lay waste to the earth; an untameable valkyrie.

Anwen had never truly believed in love before this, but by thunder she did now. Her very presence spoke volumes of her prowess and fearlessness, her voice was the crash of melodious thunder, the very song of the sea, herr legs slender and strong as the main mast, and her bosoms! Wholly perfect in every way was this stunning flawless beauty.

And anwen was determined to serve flawlessly under her command. Should she be asked, captain Killian could have her still beating heart on a golden plate.and shed cut it out herself.

Sage silently trailed after the group, caressing a soothing hand through Pingo's metallic wing. Being in the back finally gave him some time to closely examine the rest of the strangers and asses their overall strengths. Anwen seemed the type to able to hack through a mans chest with ease while the long, grey haired girl beside her would prove to be exceptionally agile with her nimble frame. For the other man that came along he looked to be a master of the blades with two swords strapped to his side, that and the fact he hadn't managed to stab himself with either yet. As for the drow...she was someone Sage would rather not have to fight someday. Though if it did somehow come to that, he would use her extremely well hidden limp as an advantage. He would have admittedly missed it if he hadn't noticed the way she seemed to have leaned against the other leg as she had gotten up from her seat back at the tavern. But before he could gather more of their possibly hidden skills, they had finally made it to the docks and up to a colossal size of a ship.

He slowly made his way up the board walk with the others and looked around at the other crew. Sage noticed some giving him an eye and a few cat calls. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, not giving them the satisfaction. That was when a crash seemed to echo across the ship causing Pingo to hoot in shock and take off towards one of the top sails. Sage immediately looked up and turned his attention to a figure bathed in shadows. He assumed that it had to have been the captain as the whole crew fell silent at the figures appearance. Sage's eyes widened a fraction as the captain finally came into view and was surprised to find 'him' to be a women. His initial shock disappeared as fast as it had come as he carefully examined the women walking towards them. She intimated him and it seemed the rest of the crew as well. An air of savagery wrapped around her like a second skin and he could sense it radiate off of her in waves as she came to a stop in front of him.

Though his instinctual reaction was to take a step back when she pressed her face almost an inch from his, he forced himself to remain completely still. Sage was intimidated by the women but not afraid. Never afraid. So he locked his eye with her; a carefully masked declaration of challenge hidden in its depths.

"Sage" He answered in a steady, slightly indifferent tone. He was by no means stupid enough to answer sarcastically but had just the right balance of logic and pride to appear somewhat unaffected by the women's actions.

When the rag tag group of newbies finally reached the ship they were greeted by some man that Xull knew well. Was nothing special, they chatted about a few unimportant and boring things. Xinn didn't even pay attention. However, things heated up when a large door slammed open. Everyone froze and nearly soiled their drawers. There stood a shadowy figure that'd would be the last thing you'd see in a dark alley. She was tall, and had this crazy bird perched upon her shoulder. It's screech rumbled through the entirety of the boat. Lovely. More birds. The most interesting part was her orange eye, it's glint shone through the darkness. Like a beast searching for prey, she quickly slipped out of the darkness and began barking orders. Oh how those men moved, the look on their faces. It was priceless.

My, my, my. This woman was even fiercer than Xull, and a beauty at that. Xinn chuckled silently to himself as the captain attacked the pretty boy. She was an intimidating one, just her walk slapped the crew in shape. You have to give her props now. As fun as it would be to mess with her a bit, I do like my head where is sits. Better keep it quiet...for now. Heh.

"Sage."

The boy responded to the woman, his tone solid and distinctly blank of emotion. His forced toughness caused the captain to crack a wicked smile, the brilliant orange hues in her eye gleaming like a gem. Leaning back from the boy, she rose her fingertips to the bottom of her chin, as if in deep thought.

"Sage... How interesting." Killian repeated his name, her voice filled with sickening amusement. There was a moment of silence, nothing but the soft sounds of the waves and seagulls crying in the distant morning light. The captain's hand suddenly fell from her chin, settling on a brown leather gun holster attached to her hip. Her fingertips gripped the handle of the flintlock pistol, flicking her wrist upwards and lifting the gun from it's slumber in a quick movement. The muzzle of the gun met Sage's neck, digging up into his jawline as the captain leaned towards him once more.

The smile dropped from her face.

"Ye are a youngling, that much I can see. But I don't think ye know who yer dealing with, boy!" The captain snarled with a voice loud enough to break an eardrum. Her eyes stared into his, a sinister flicker of emotion dancing in her gaze like a candle. She shoved the gun further into his jaw, her thumb pushing against the clamp on the back end of the weapon. The pistol let out a deafening clink as it became fully loaded, and ready to take its shot.

"If I hear just one little complaint from ye lips about ANYTHING, this won't be the last time this gun be at yer neck, mate." The captain growled, giving Sage one final look before taking a few steps back and pacing past the other newcomers.

"That be a warnin' for the rest of you as well." The woman shoved the gun back into it's holster, eyeing each and every new crew member individually.

"DO I MAKE MESELF CLEAR?!" The captain boomed, startling a few nearby men untying ropes by the side of the ship. When she saw that each new member had agreed, she nodded her head at them and furrowed her brows slightly.

"Now, get to work! This ship isn't going to ready itself!" She ordered, loud enough for the others to hear her. The bird on her shoulder let out a deafening squawk, and ruffled his feathers before settling back down on her shoulder

"Aye, captain!"

Whipping around, the captain walked across the main deck of the ship, the heel of her boots clunking against the wood intimidatingly. Beginning to walk up the stairs, Killian Baltazar appeared on the quarter deck and began padding towards Xull. She was barking orders as usual at the crew, the anger in Xull's voice bringing a wicked grin to the captain's face.

"These freshmeat need a bit of kickin' in the ass. Give em' the hardest work ye've got."

Xull knew that look in captain killians eye. The boy had amused her. Which was about as close to impressed as she got with greenhorns like him. She was in a fine mood, and that bode well. Perhaps this voyage wouldn't begin with her ordering us into a storm as she did the last time we had new crewmates.

Xull nodded respectfully, "Aye Captain." And once she was sure that everyone was at their post, she clasped her hands behind her back and walked out onto the lower deck before the line, staring them down with a nasty scowl.

"on dis ship I be addressed as Quartermaster."I begin. "I not be tolerating any tomfoolery, mucking about, lazin, flounderin, or any other forms of sloth. Did ship be run tight as a bloody drum. mistakes be punished as sabotage, intentional or not." she turns to the girl and snarls down at her. "ye best be gettin down to de galley when I dismiss the lot of you, young missy." She instructs. "de cook will show ye de ropes today. But by tomorrow I expect ye to make good use of your...preoccupation." She continues on down the line to sage. "ye be joinin her to start ye duties as cabin boy. If ye prove useful, ye may be permitted a place above deck as well." I step back and look the line over again. "the rest o ye be on yer own te fin' the scrub brushes an buckets. I spect de brig, deck an hull ta be shinin like de captains boots by fifth bell." She have sage an absolutely nasty grin. "de cabin boy can handle cleanin de head an rain locker." The two dirtiest places on the ship hadn't had a good scrub since the last cabin boy was marooned. Foolish thing had been a right Nancy, complaining and whining so damn often even the crew members were getting posed off. The captain refused to have him aboard for another day. He'd been lucky they'd passed a handful of cays. If they'd been in open sea she would have tossed him aboard anyways.

Xull, to be honest was going easy on them. Not in the sense that she was giving them easy work. Far from it. But she saved her rather harsh insults for the regular crew. Initiates were easily discouraged and angered until they learned to accept the abuse with a grain of salt. Even quartermasters needed a bit of stress reliefe.

"each o ye be takin up de night watch. I be assignin yer time before de day is out. NOW OFF WIT YE!!!"

she walked off only three paces before she kicked the pulleys at the base of the fore mast. she shot up like a canon, caught firm onto the rigging and swung up to land with practiced ease on the sails frame, looking out as she sun cast its glow upon the sea.

The treasures call was loud in her mind and in her heart, singing its sirens song as she looked about, checking the progress of the crew. The ship was ready.

"Everyting be in order Captain!" Xull called out from above. "She be ready te set sail on ye command!"

Have you heard of the phrase the calm before the storm? Well Sage felt as though he witnessed it firsthand when an uneasy silence seemed to settle throughout the ship before a gun was abruptly pressed against his neck. Sage’s hand twitched, ready to disable the women’s arm and to remove the danger as he had been taught. But he resisted the urge and merely narrowed his eye as the muzzle was shoved further against his jaw. Despite his current predicament, Sage kept relatively unperturbed and remained quite while the captain forewarned the rest of the newcomer’s. He wasn't too thrilled about being used as an example but was obviously in no position to voice his opinions out loud.

After the captain had gone off to bark orders at the other crewmates the drow, who was unsurprisingly second in command, began to inform them of their current positions and jobs. Sage had already assumed he would be getting the lowest ranking position due to being the youngest and wasn't too phased when he was assigned the role of the cabin boy. He doesn't exactly look the part, with what his overall appearance suggested, but he wasn’t a stranger to austere labor. The several years he had spent in the slums orphanage had proved that.

When the drow had finally finished with her little speech, Sage reluctantly turned to face the girl that he had been told to accompany. There was a few rather awkward seconds as he stood there, his single golden eye locked with hers. After what seemed to be a straight minute of unbroken silence, Sage let out a sight.

“Are you going to move or am I going to have to carry you there?” He inquired, his tone coated with sarcasm and slight irritation.

Anwen made quick work of going below deck to find the small stache of scrub brushes, mops, pails and other over used cleaning supplies. She was the hearty sort, with a healthy love of hard labor and skipped over the mops, grabbed a bucket, and went to find a chisel. Before the hull could be scrubbed it would need to be hacked free of barnacles. While most would simply toss them into the sea, she knew how hard it was to come by fresh food. And shellfish would make an excellent meal for the captain. she managed to find a decent chisel, and stomped up to the deck where she bumped into one of the other crew members.

"watch where ye goin, ye great Pillock!" The man growled and tried to shove her aside. She didn't budge an inch and returned his nasty attitude with a deceptively friendly grin. "nae, tha' be no way te address a lady, me friend."

"the rest o ye be on yer own te fin' the scrub brushes an buckets. I spect de brig, deck an hull ta be shinin like de captains boots by fifth bell." The mini-tyrant yelled, she was obviously enjoying herself. Welcome to the life of a pirate mate, oh how this brought a tingly feeling to Xinn's body...or perhaps that was due to not bathing for a week. Whatever it may be, a bit o' work won't do him too bad. He had to scrub the entire temple clean by himself when he was a kid, a pirate's ship would be no worse. "Ah, the smell of the wood, the fresh breeze, and the many frightened panzy men wetting themselves in fear. Got's quite the 'welcome home' aroma." Xinn sung to himself happily. He noticed that Sage and the quiet girl seemed to just kind of stare at each other beside him, it was strange to say the least. What, can they talk with their minds 'er somethin'? Xinn thought to himself.

He shrugged, no longer caring. "Tis none o' my business. Best get teh work." Xinn walked forward a few steps humming a tune before stopping outright. Wait. Where the hell do I go? He began scratching his head and looking around, confused to all hell. He's been on a ship before, but he doesn't quite know the layout of this ship, and as much as he's sure the crew would be dyyying to assist him, he's pretty much on his own. "Well...shit." He whispered to himself, pulling out his pipe and taking a few puffs. "Bloody didn't get shown around...guess I can't be in teh wrong for taking ah quick stroll...ya know...to observe the ship a bit." Xinn started grinning mischievously.

The pirates screams of indignation and terror were rather amusing, anwen decided. The bloke who'd run into her not five minutes ago was currently hanging by his ankle, courtesy of Anwens remarkable strength, over the side of the ship. And while they weren't even out of the docks, there were some rather sharp stalagmites just bedside the ship, jutting out of the water. One could not express the joy anwen felt at hearing the man squeal like the sow he had called her before she lost her temper. Or the rather bold, and incredibly stupid comment about " always wanting to have a go at a half breed."

"nae lets be lookin in them pockets, aye, Brando?" She chuckled and the bird hopped from her shoulder to the mans leg and began fishing its beak through his pockets. "I can' be trusting a wanderin hand like yers not te, ahhh." Her perpetual grin only grew wider as she pulled out a small trinket of no real importance, but that should have been nestled safely in her own pocket.

"good work laddie." She lifted the bird back to her shoulder, ignoring the mans angry protests as she received a nuzzle from her pet against get cheek.

"the quartermaster'll have ye head fer this!!" He wailed, flailing and flopping about in a rather fishlike manner. "mark me!"

Xull was enjoying herself at the top of the mainmast, in one of the few moments of peace she ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The ship was ready to sail, her duties on hold until the captain gave the command to sail, or she spotted any altercations or suspicious behavior. A faint but genuine smile curled her lips as she lay back on her wooden perch, hands under her head and one leg dangling over the side, she gazed up at the sky through the convenient hole through the roof of the cave.

Today would be a good da

"lemme go, ya overgrown trollope-aaahhh!!! -one yellow eye opened and darted to the side, spotting anwen just as she began shaking a rigging rat over the side of the ship.

A growl escaped her. Trust a brute to start a goddamn brawl on her ship before its even untied from the f*cking dock.

With a sweep of her hand, she swung down by a loose rope, landing with a metallic thud on the deck, ready to tear the woman a new rear end and hang her by it from the jib.

That was until she saw a certain oriental skulking off, looking entirely too pleased with himself.

"cease dat insufferable catterwallin' Mista Thrain. " she snarled as she passed anwen by. "An get to ye duties, de bot o ye!!"

"aye, quartermaster!" The picture they made, the giant woman and the hanged man both replying at once was rather humerous, however in her haste to follow xinn, it was entirely missed on her.

Jeanne was awe struck as they stood upon the ship and found herself frozen in confusion and amazement at the same time. This was a completely different atmosphere than anything she was use to, but after spending a little time with her new companions in the pub, she realized that all these people were just like that. She had shared a few confused glances at Sage before looking on to the rest of the ship with a small smile. She could feel the blood boiling inside her and she wanted to see what this ship and this crew had to offer her, and with a giant grin, she began to aimlessly walk about the ship. She had seen them before and been on only one, but since she was confined to quarters, she really hadn't gotten to truly explore it. This was truly a magnificent ship and the crew seemed to be a lively bunch, she tried to keep out of the fray and excitement that seemed to be taking place, hoping not to draw too much attention to herself as she watched Anwen hoist a man over the side of the ship and take his things. She chuckled to herself at the sight.

Xinn trotted around aimlessly, trying to get a good feel for his new wooden home. A broken floorboard caught his eye, it splintered outward like something heavy was dropped there. "Hm. Ship could use a bit o' maintenance work...Don' wanna sink in the ocean now do we?" He took a puff of his pipe and kept on his way, oblivious of anyone around him. Sweaty men didn't exactly catch his fancy. The ship itself was rather well put together, it was a newer model kind of ship. Dings and large holes in places, water seeped a bit from the boards, but nothing really extreme. Listen to me...acting like I know anythin' about ships. Xinn chuckled lightly and walked up to a small chest under the deck. It was hidden under some cloth in a small room. He looked around himself, eyeing his surroundings suspiciously. Xinn's mischievous side was coming into play. "Now what might you be hidin' precious? Come now, don't be shy~ Say hello to Mr.Scissor man."

"I be wary O dat chest, 'f I was ye, mista xinn." Glowing yellow eyes narrowed in warning from the shadows behind him, where Xull was leaning against the creaking wall of the hull, arms crossed with a stern frown upon her lips. Her nearly pitch black skin made it easy enough to blend in with the lightless corner of the room. She walked over, armor chinkling softly with every step, unlatched the chests lock and lifted the top. "wouldn' be wantin ta loose ya fingas." A multitude of .scorpions scuttled about over themselves. "did cargo be a might cantankerous."

As scorpians crawled out from the tiny chest, Xinn could feel a chill run down his back. That coulda hurt. He kept up his appearance and grinned coyly. "Ah, that's an interesting box of insects ye got there miss. I wonder why you'd keep a box of nasties like those down here? A rather curious man could end up losing his life." He said, playing a bit. Xinn pulled out his pipe and took a few puffs. "Well missus Xull, do you hit the pipe? Care for a puff? " He pulled out another pipe he had hidden in his pocket. Xinn smirked again. "Not on my pipe of course, this'in is special."

"mnnnnhh...come here me precious ones." Xull cooed and held out her hand, going to one knee as xinn offered her a smoke. The three escaped scorpions all turned and beelined to her, crawling up her arm, to which she stood back up and nuzzled the one on her hand before letting the other two crawl into the box before shutting it, never taking my eyes off of the last.

"I not be one to indulge befo de voyage has begun, mista xinn."I purr and turn my hand so the creature can crawl a bit. "an I prefuh someting a might strongah den tobacco." She fixed him with a side along gaze, lips curling into a surprisingly refined half smile as she stroked the tail of the scorpion in a rather methodical manner. "puhaps I be free te join ye on ye watch..." Her voice held a tone that may or may not have hinted at a double entendre. Nobody could ever really tell. "an eentroduce ye te some stock from de undadahk." A hand shifted one of her cloak lapels to the side, revealing a long, ornate Drow style pipe.
