As One

Max heard barking from underneath him and saw a fox. He jumped off the tree he was sitting on and looked at it. "Why do you look so familiar? Well maybe because you are a fox and to be honest you all look the same." He said with a chuckle. 'I'm losing it.' He let out a sigh and sat at the base of the tree gazing at the fox. "I wonder if Feather is still pissed? I mean it's been a week, not to mention I'm still confused as to what I did to piss her off." He leaned on the tree and closed his eyes. "I have absolutely no clue as to why I'm asking you so don't ask." He said. 'Annnnnnnd there goes the last of my sanity'

Feather smirked inwardly. She wagged her tail and laid down next to him. "Maybe you hurt her feelings." She barked, disguising her voice so no one would know if it was a male of female voice. "Girls are sensitive, trust me, I know." She continued, glancing up at Max. She raised her head from her paws and stared at him, her ears twitching.

"Hurt her feelings? Well she lied to me or at the very least didn't tell me the truth. And of course I'm not going to show how much pain I'm in. If I whined whenever I got hurt or was in pain, then I would never shut up....and I'm talking to a talking fox...or shape shifter." He muttered as he placed his head into his hands.

Feather growled slightly, lashing her tail. As she spoke, she forgot to mask her voice. "Well god dammit Max! Stop being such a baby and start acting like a man! A real man might not go around complaining about every little scratch, but even I could see you were almost dying! You just lied straight to my face, that's what hurt my feelings!" She snapped. Her eyes shone as she rose and walked a bit away from him. She turned human and shook her head. "Ugh, I can't believe I'm so stupid. I almost fell for you.." She hissed before turning to walk away.

Max eyes widen in a bit of surprised. He turned around and hit his head on the tree truck so hard he was bleeding a bit. 'Ow, ok not dreaming. Hold on do I chase her? Think...think....I think I do." With that he got up and wiped away the blood. "Feather! Wait. I-I'm sorry, I didn't tell you ok it just...."

Feather turned around, her hair blowing away from her face. A tear was travelling down her face as she raised a hand to stop him, a dark orb appearing in her hand. "Don't make me.." She hissed as another tear rushed down her cheek. She lowered her hand and wiped her tears away. "Just leave me alone, okay? I don't need a boy, I need a man. Someone who knows when to stop pretending, and when to be serious." She said, her tone determined. She looked away from him, feeling a pit in her stomach. She clenched her fist as more tears rushed down her face and she started walking away again, knowing she was eventually going to break down crying.

Max looked a bit heart broken and took a step to chase after her, but when he did he collapsed. "S-S-Shit." He muttered as once again his body went at war. He used all the strength he could to make it physical again and laid there. 'I need my dragon form back asap." He muttered. "...What does she want? I have only been free for a year if that. I was taught to suck it up, because no matter how much you complain or tell others, they can't or won't do a damn thing. I never got a chance to joke, or have fun, I only witness what mans curiosity can do! I was forced to suffer hell for 15 god damn years!" He yelled as he hit his fist on the ground. "So sorry if I can't trust or am afraid of opening up!"

Feather listened from a distance, feeling herself breaking. She sneaked back into the clearing to see him laying on the ground. She covered her mouth with one hand and walked over to him, crouching down beside him. She put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry.." She said kindly to him, her voice warm and filled with sadness. She cried a tear. "I know I'm a bit selfish.." She added. "It's not your fault, I know that.. It's just, whenever I get scared or hurt.. I blame it on someone else.." She admitted, her cheeks burning hot as more tears traveled down her face.

Max flinched at the touch and moved away slightly. "You couldn't have known, it's not like I told anyone or have any intention of telling anyone." He muttered. He looked over at her with a grin. "You look prettier when you are not crying, so please don't cry." He said still not bothering to get up. 'This grass is really comfortable...huh I think I'll make this my new hangout.'

Feather smirked at his comment and wiped her tears. "Don't go all flirty with me.." She warned him as she laid down on her back, looking up at the sky. She created an orb of dark magic and played around with it, feeling her power flowing through her body. She smirked. "So, where have you been? You disappeared for a while you know." She asked him, glancing over at him, her eyes glowing.

He smirked at her and shifted his head so he could look at the sky. "I went to River Dale, trained like crazy. Met a mermaid had an underwater adventure, some how got caught up in a family feud, chose a side and helped them take back the crown. Almost drowned but just before I blacked out I suddenly found myself in an air bubble. Turns out I can use more than one element, so now I have electricity and air. Also figured out what Kai did to me, so I came back to get my dragon form back, if I don't do it soon I'll die or disappear into time." He summarized barley taking a breath. "Just so you know none of that was a joke, anyway how has your week been?' He asked as he turned his head to face her.

Feather narrowed her eyes and sat up. "Tough. Unbearable. Fun." She said, smirking. "Kai pushed me to the limit, but I learned a lot from him. I'm glad he chose to train me." She said as she glanced over at Max. "Mermaid? Did you ask for her number? I hear they are quite flirty." She added, her eyes shining in joy. "They are also the best friends, and very good guides. When I was in Rivers Dale, I met a girl named Merida, we still have contact."

"You want to spar!" Max asked excitedly. "If you don't that's cool. Also I met Merida, if she says I owe her twenty bucks then she is lying, because I beat the dare. And I got two mermaids numbers, but before you claw my eyes out, know that I threw them away as soon as they turned their backs."

Feather sighed. "No I don't.." She replied. She then laughed. "I'll tell her you said that.." She said, smirking. She then stopped smiling. "Why would I claw your eyes out?" She asked suddenly, a bit surprised.

"Aw...I wanted to show off my new powers." He said with a sigh. "So are you still mad at me or...?" He asked her as he sat up in cris cross.

Feather narrowed her eyes and glanced down at her feet as she sat up. She then glanced over at Max. "Nah.. How could I ever be mad at such a cutie.." She said and winked, before laughing again. She smiled.

"Cutie? I'll have you know I'm drop dead gorgeous." He joked as he did a hair flip. "Though sadly when it comes to looks you beat me by a mile."

Feather laughed and flipped her own hair, time seeming to slow down. "Why thank you.." She said, smirking. "But really, I could never be that mad at you that I wouldn't be able to get over it.." She insisted, raising her eyebrows, her British accent rolling off of her tongue like magic.

Max shrugged. "I wouldn't bet on that, believe me I know how to push peoples buttons. Take Kai for example I pissed him off so much he took away my dragon form. Oh just so you know I don't regret a thing." He stated with a broad grin.

Max smirked before grimacing. He clentched his head tightly as his body once again became electicity and air. "This is getting annoying." He muttered as he concitrated to become physical. It took him a bit longer than usual but he did it. "I swear I'll kill Kai for this." He mumbled. "I didn't shock you did I?" He asked as he looked over at Feather.

Feather shook her head, her eyebrows raised. "Okay, if that is Kai's fault, then we're going to have to make him get your dragon form back." She hissed, her eyes darkening. She rolled over and laid on her back, looking back up at the sky.

"Yeah, though I have no intention of training under him. I may help him in his little fight, but I'll train myself." Max said seriously as he laid back down. (He has no clue about girls, so really he won't start anything in fear that he'll scare Feather away just a little fyi))

(Great to know) Feather nodded her head. She rolled over and laid down with her upper body on his chest. She smirked as she laughed. "Were you ready for this?" She asked before she leaned in. She pressed her lips on his before leaning away, resting her head on her hands, and her hands on his chest. (Voila!)

Max blushed immensely when she kissed him and he saw her cleavage. "I-If yo-you are." He stuttered out as he tried to hide his blush. 'Wow that was amazingly smooth.' He thought almost facepalming.
