It was 7:15 in the morning, and Grace had been awake since 3 a.m, working at a hotel as a waitress. She was incredibly tired, but she had no choice but to get ready for another day of school. She took a quick shower and changed into deep purple sleeved shirt, acid washed skinny jeans and black boots, remembering to slip on her jacket since it was the middle of autumn.

She ate some toast with melted butter and jelly, washing her dish after she had finished. She looked around the house to see if her parents were there, but as expected, they weren't. Her father was a lawyer and her mother was a nurse, so sometimes they wouldn't return until the next day. Grace would sometimes feel lonely whenever they weren't around, but she always would invite over her best friend Melissa or someone else.

Grace snatched her backpack and car keys, locking the house's door before getting into her black convertible and made the ten minute drive to Whitewater High School.

She pulled into the school's parking lot, seeing the faces of familiar and unfamiliar students. She parked and made her way inside of the building, heading directly over to her locker.

Cion had woken up to a alarm. He'd slowly get up and begin to get dressed. When he was done he'd get something to eat and begin to walk to school. He'd be thinking of this cute girl he saw the other day at the Hotel's Restaurant. He'd been only thinking of her... He'd be wearing a simple set of clothing with nothing really to special.. He had just a simple button up and black slacks..

He'd arrive at school and not believe his eyes.. He'd see the Girl he saw the other day and just stare. He was considered to be good lucking, and dressed nice, he also got good grades, so people would think he'd be popular but he is a little clingy over girls.

As Grace collected her things to the day, she noticed someone in her peripheral vision staring at her. She looked over to see a slightly familiar face, and began to wonder if he was one of the people she had served back at the hotel she worked at.

Once she gathered all of her things, Grace locked her dark red locker and turned on her heels to walk over to the boy. "Hi," She greeted, her naturally pink lips curling into a friendly smile. "I couldn't help but notice you... you seem really familiar. Were you at the Citadel Hotel the other day?" Grace asked him, her violet eyes gazing at him as she waited for him to speak.

He'd Blush and start to become embarrassed as she noticed him. As she walked up to him he'd gulp and speak.. "Yea I was there.... And I just want to say your really pretty.." He'd become even more nervous and would run away from her and head to class. His first period was Chemistry..

Grace noticed how much the guy was blushing and seemed to be skittish, which made her giggle a little bit. She smiled as he began to say that he was in fact there at the Citadel Hotel, but her eyebrows rose in surprise as he told her that she was pretty. "H-Hey!" She stuttered when the boy ran away, disappearing in the direction of her chemistry class.

She walked over to the classroom and entered just as the bell rang, meaning that it was time for first period. As expected, Grace saw him in the class. Seeing that the teacher had already come into the room, she decided to not approach him unless they were assigned as partners. She went over to her original seat, which was four places behind where he sat.

Cion had rushed to class.. He was already sitting when he saw her come in.. He'd blush and look that she was sitting near him. He'd wait for class to begin. But all that was on his mind that he wanted her..

Three minutes after the bell rang, the class was already full and everyone was silent as Mr. Robinson began to speak of reassigning partners. "I will be choosing who will be partnered with who," He said, and most of the classroom groaned. Grace wasn't one of those students since she didn't really care who she'd be paired up with, she just wanted that person to actually participate in whatever projects they'd be doing in the future.

Time passed slowly as Mr. Robinson began giving out the paired names until he finally came across Grace's name. "Grace, your new partner is Cion. Please switch seats with James," He said and Grace nodded, grabbing her backpack and sat down next to Cion. She looked over at him and smiled, chuckling a little bit. "I guess we're partners now huh?"

He'd become nervous when he heard she was his partner.. He'd begin to blush quite a bit.. "Sorry.. I get nervous around girls.."

Grace smiled gently and noticed how much Cion was blushing. "There's no need to apologize," She told him before returning her attention to Mr. Robinson, who had begun to speak about their project for the day.

His hands would be on the desk and he'd be shaking. He couldn't believe a hot girl was next to him. He'd be thinking that she will be his.. no matter what.

As they did their assignment, Grace and Cion made small talk... very small talk. He was quiet and blushing most of the time, which Grace actually found to be quite cute. But she also noticed that he had been shaking a bit. She was curious as to why he was, but she let it slide.

Time had passed quickly and the bell for lunch had rung. Grace began to collect her belongings, and decided to take off her sweater since she felt a bit warm. She pulled off the dark violet sweater, her black t-shirt rising up her abdomen and nearly folding over her chest, but Grace quickly pulled her shirt back down, blushing a little bit in embarrassment since Cion had been standing right in front of her.

She shoved the sweater into her backpack and looked back over at Cion with a little smile. “Since Mr. Robinson gave us a project that we need to work on together, do you want to come over to my house tonight or should I go to yours? We could go the mall even…”

He'd blush intentsely as Her shirt went up. He'd almost of passed out from it if he hadn't been trying to keep his cool. "Um your house will be fine, Want to go their right after school so we can work on it more?. " He'd be thinking of what will happen..

She swung her backpack over her shoulder and nodded with a smile. “Sounds good,” Grace said and was about to leave the classroom when she stopped in her tracks and looked over at Cion and grabbed his hand. “Come to lunch with me,” She told him and tugged him along out of the room, but was stopped by her boyfriend Dylan.

He was all smiles until his eyes landed on their entwined hands, looking up at Grace with a questionable expression. “Hey babe!” Grace said and let go of Cion’s hand to hug Dylan, kissing him lightly on the cheek. “Who’s this guy?” Dylan asked as he eyed Cion. “Oh, he’s a new friend… Cion,” Grace murmured and smiled again, looking over at Cion again. “Can he have lunch with us?”

Dylan was silent for a moment, his eyes darting between his girlfriend and Cion. After a while, he sighed. “Sure, why not?” Grace grinned and kissed his cheek before stepping back, returning to Cion's side. “Let’s go.”

His heart would feel like it was in heaven when she was holding it. then when the guy that was her boyfriend showed up.. His heart shattered... He'd follow her to lunch..

When they arrived to lunch, Grace paid a little bit more attention to Cion rather than to Dylan, which actually irked him a lot. He wasn’t enjoying the fact that his girlfriend was paying attention to another guy, but he tried to let it go.

The day passed quickly, Grace discovering that she shared another three classes with her newly made friend. It was finally 3:00 p.m, and it was time to head back home. As expected, it was hectic when everyone was trying to get out of school, the hallways flooding as all the students pushed through the glass double doors like a mob.

Grace stuck next to her locker, already having collected her things and was now waiting for Cion. Her deep violet eyes scanned every guy until she finally came across the familiar male, a grin curling on her lips. Her hand darted out and wrapped itself around his hand, pulling him over to her locker. “Hey,” She said, completely forgetting that she was holding his hand. “Do you want to come in my car or will you just go walking or something?” She asked.

He'd blush the whole time he was near her.. He'd look at her and look at their hands. "Your car.." He'd be completely embarrassed blushing bright red.

Grace smiled and nodded, approving of Cion’s choice. She waited for the hallway to clear up a little bit before leading the blond to her car, still unaware that she continued to hold his hand. Luckily Dylan had decided to leave school a bit earlier that day, he would have gotten a bit piqued again at the sight of their entwined hands.

They finally arrived to Grace’s black convertible and that’s when she let go his hand. She took her car keys out of her bag and got inside, waiting for Cion to get in before driving off to her house. After they arrived, Grace pulled into the garage and turned off the car.

“Do you want something to drink or snack on before we start?” Grace asked as she opened the garage door which lead into the kitchen. “Close the door after you come in, please,” She told him as she took out a bottle of water from the fridge, taking a quick drink.

Grace took another water bottle out of the fridge, handing it over to Cion. She noticed that his cheeks were a warm rosy color. It looked like he was blushing the entire day. She frowned slightly and placed her water on the island, taking a few steps closer to Cion. “Hey, are you alright? You’ve been looking red the entire day,” Grace said a bit worriedly, her hand cupping his cheek to feel the heat warming her hand up even more.

Grace nearly screamed as Cion fainted, her hands shooting out to grab his hands so his head wouldn’t smash against the tiled floor. “Cion!” She yelled, lightly patting his face as she tried to waking up. She looked around, trying to figure out what to do. She decided to drag him into the living room, unable to pick him up since he was significantly heavier than she was.

After she managed to lay him on the sofa and covered him with a thin sheet. Grace waited for 35 minutes, waiting for him to wake up. Seeing that it was going to take him a while to wake up, Grace decided to take a shower.

She went into the bathroom and removed her clothing before opening the warm water and got into the shower.

He'd wake up and wouldn't remember where he was... Thinking he was in his own house he'd go to the shower and walk in on Grace.. "SORRY!.." He'd turn away blushing..

Grace squealed in surprise when Cion walked into the bathroom, trying to cover as much as she could of herself, which was quite difficult since the shower's glass wasn't frosted. Grace blushed immensely. She heard him yell out an apology, and sighed in relief as he went running out the door.

A few minutes later she finished taking her shower and wrapped a towel around her body, going to her bedroom and get dressed.

(Continued...)

Grace had knocked around 5 more times until she realized that the door had been left unlocked, which confused her since Dylan always made sure that the doors were locked. For some reason, this sent shivers up Grace's spine... something about this made her feel incredibly worried. She quietly entered into the house, looking around the small foyer when she noticed an odd metallic scent. "Dylan?" She called out, walking into the living room and let out a shrill scream at the horrifying scene in front of her.

There on the floor was Dylan, sprawled out with a large pool of blood surrounding him. There were visible stab wounds in his chest and stomach, his dark green t-shirt now black since it was completely soaked in blood. "Dylan!" She screamed and went to his side, getting on her knees, shuddering went she felt his cold blood soak into the knees of her jeans. Her hands went to his chest, feeling no heart beat. His skin was completely cold. She knew that there was no chance of bringing her boyfriend back, and she began to cry for the second time today, even more intense than when she had been assaulted.

She got up and ran towards the house phone, the blood on her hands printing itself onto the plastic of the phone. She dialed 911, trying to calm her breathing. A woman answered, asking her what her situation was. "M-My boyfriend's dead!" Grace cried. Immediately the woman asked her for the address before saying that there were cops on the way. Grace simply answered with an "okay" and said goodbye to the woman despite her protests.

Thirty minutes later, the cops had already questioned Grace about what happened and ended up calling Dylan's parents who had been out of town for the week. She had also been escorted out of the house by an officer, who offered her to drive her home, which she rejected and told him that she lived two streets away. She desperately wanted to tell the cops about what had happened her earlier, but something in Grace's mind convinced her not to do so.

Grace trudged back to her house, no one outside to see her disheveled looks. Her eyes went to the familiar house she lived in, wishing that her parents would be home, but they usually didn't arrive until 11:30 p.m, and it was only 8:00. Not knowing if Cion was still there, Grace walked back into her house, closing the door behind her. "Cion?" She called out, hoping that she wouldn't hear a response, but she was honestly expecting him to still be here.
